❝I'm just ashamed of myself❞ Be Satisfied With This Please ➸Profile || My Shame ➸Moth Physiology || Location ➸Smokey’s Lounge || Company ➸Customers|| Wearing ➸Work Outfit || Coming in before the bar was open to the general public, a particular eggplant head flitted around getting the place ready. Chairs were set down, tables were wiped, menus restocked at the host stand, and such; they were all menial tasks that just about anyone could do. But maybe she was slowed down a bit to due to her klutzy nature of bumping into things. It was mandatory for her to come in an hour early to set the place up for the customers. The boss was already in the back crunching numbers and doing what needed to be done for the day. They informed her that a new worker was coming in and she was meant to show him the ropes. Yes, a he. The petite woman gave a polite and small ‘Yes’ before resuming her position by the bar. This piece of new made her frightened a bit. “Is he a nice person?”, “A pervert?”, “What does he do?”, and so on. Isheti was curious about them but wary at the same time.
The place was already set up as some customers began to trickle in. Though she didn’t like sticking out like a sore thumb, Isheti was the only bartender present at the time. People were either too focused on the Karaoke portion today, enjoying their snacks, chatting with each other or drinking. It wasn’t too much of a hassle for her but she wondered why the boss was hiring another helper. 'Maybe I proved to be inadequate.' Another worker might have meant less pay for her, including tips. 'If I wasn’t such a klutz then maybe I could prove myself to be a bit more reliable.' Cleaning up a glass, she sighed to herself. It was far easier for her to put the blame squarely on her shoulders than to look at the situation a bit differently. More customers had been coming in and the boss needed more help. It was a simple situation but doubt in her own capabilities had a way of worming their way into her mind.

xxx It had been one hell of a week… His dear little sister had had her heart broken for the very first time by a older guy, who happen to be her teacher and his coworker! Akio had known his little sister Mizuki had a crush on Mitsuru for a little while and figured that his co-worker knew and would turn her down gently before she really started to get feelings for him. Sadly, Mitsuru did not pick up on it and his beloved sister ended up falling for him even more. Not being able to stand it anymore, Akio broke the news to his fellow co-worker at the Academy and that Mitsuru needed to turn her down before things got to far. In the end, Mitsuru did tell Mizuki that they would not work out and she understood but still… His little sister got heart broken and because his sister was such a sensitive flower, Mizuki ended up getting sick, missing school for a week. Because of this, Akio blew up on Mitsuru, blaming him for all that had happened to his little sister.
That was Akios week so far. Worrying about his sister and being p*ssed off with his fellow co-worker. To top it off, the monthly bills for rent and Mizukis medical came in, meaning that Akios fridge would be empty for a while till he could get some extra cash. Thankfully, he was starting his new job today at a bar called Smokey Lounge as a bartender. Being a Teachers Assistant did not pay enough to pay off all the bills and live so Akio went and applied for a few jobs in the city and he was able to get a job at the bar. He had worked in a bar once before but sadly he got fired due to the fact he couldn't make the shifts as he was taking care of Mizuki when she got really sick.
It was about a forty minute walk from his cheap old apartment to the bar by foot so the tall blue haired man left a little earlier so he would be early to be on the safe side. When he entered the bar, he honestly looked like he belong at the bar. He was tall, muscular and had a slight cold face on him, making him look like he was ready to fight someone if you bumped into him. Akios blue eyes scanned his new work place before he noticed a familiar face which was the the person who hired him and happened to be the boss. He walked over to his new boss, shaking his hand and thanking him again for hiring him. Akio was then brought to the back where he was given his work uniform and shown where he could change. He was also told that the person who would be teaching and showing him the ropes was someone by the name of Isheti.
Quickly changing into his new uniform in the changing room, The tan male exited the changing room, rolling up his cuffs as he made his way to the bar counter where he was told he would find this Isheti. Stepping behind the bar, he saw a petite purple haired woman who was cleaning a glass. " Are you Isheti?" Akio towered over this woman, as he was a little over a foot taller then her. His face was still slightly a little cold as he looked down at the woman before he bowed his head a little. " I am Akio Hoshi. I am new here." He hoped that this job would stick as he needed the money, he couldn't afford to lose it.

❝I'm just ashamed of myself❞ Be Satisfied With This Please ➸Profile || My Shame ➸Moth Physiology || Location ➸Smokey’s Lounge || Company ➸Customers + Akio Hoshi|| Wearing ➸Work Outfit || Busying herself with a menial task of wiping down some freshly washed glasses, checking their inventory, and greeting every customer that came in; Isheti had failed to keep an eye out for the new person. She honestly had no idea what they looked like, except that they were male. A bunch of images of what the male might look like came up while her orchid blooms gazed out at the bar. There were customers who were making most of the Karaoke night, meaning that they were busy singing and getting drunk. None of them looked like they were ready to work in the evening. 'Unless the boss wants to be cruel and test me.' Her tone sounded defeated as she glanced at the counter. Isheti thought about all the trouble she had possibly caused the big man, wondering if this new hire was to replace her in the future. 'I...hope not.' The moth needed this job! A bartender made excellent tips for nearly minimum wage. So she absolutely needed the money but so did this new hire..probably. 'Please let it be good news, please.'
The glass nearly shattered on the countertop as it slipped out of her hand. Isheti frantically tried to grab the little sucker when someone had surprised her. Holding it by the base, the woman’s face showed just how awkward and flustered she was. Clearing their throat, and placing the cup down on the flat surface, Mothra looked towards the voice. She blinked because the first thing they saw was a rather sturdy surface. That didn’t seem quite right so the head of violet looked up. 'He is tall!' The man was practically an extra foot taller than her! She could probably stand on her toes and wouldn’t even get close to his height. That was the first intimidating thing to see. Her cute little eggplant head was being filled with concerns and possibilities about what this man might pull. But to her surprise, he was polite despite looking like he was going to squeeze the living daylights out of her. "Isheti Mothra, I am not new here." Ah! The woman wanted to mentally slap herself for that mistake as she bowed towards the bluenette.
Straightening herself up, fingers were fidgeted a bit as she tried to think about the next thing she wanted to say. "Has the boss told you what you’d be doing." Her voice was tiny and light. Those timid lavenders didn’t meet with his gaze as per her culture. "I can show you a few things. I hope that we can get along with each other." The last sentence was murmured lightly as a strand of her hair was tucked behind their ear. She looked over to a customer who wanted another refill and gestured for Hoshi to follow. For the rest of the evening, Isheti would slowly and calmly teach her coworker what their job may entitle. At the end of it, a lot of time had passed by with the sun no longer being in the sky. "That’s about it..." Her words trailed off as she took a rag to clean an empty table. "Are there any questions?"

xxx The blue haired man blinked as he watched the woman almost dropped the glass she was cleaning. Akio raised his hand a little, as if he was about to catch the glass but stopped as it seemed that the glass was safe, not even a chip which was good. He would of hate it if something broke because of him on his first day. Even though he wasn't the one to drop it, it was because of him she got spooked so he would of felt bad about it. He didn't mean to scare her, and she only seemed to be more intimidated by him when she turned around and looked at him. This was not a real surprise to Akio as a lot of people though he gave off a scary vibe. He was rather tall, muscular and tend to have a cold face so many stayed clear of him. He would fit better as a bouncer at the bar then a bartender. " Sorry I did not mean to scare you." He stated calmly before he introduced herself as Isheti Mothra. " Nice to meet you. I am glad you are not new or otherwise we both would be in trouble today." He tried to make a joke as he could tell how nervous and flustered she was at the moment. He was not sure if it was because of him or she was like this in general but either way, he wanted her to be comfortable with him. They would be working together after all.
" The boss just told me that you would show me the basics. I already know how to make most drinks, I just need to know where everything is really and anything you think I should know." Akio had worked in a bar before and he knew how to make basic mix drink and had a general idea how to work at a bar so he wasn't to nervous about todays training. He just hoped he could actually keep this job. " Thanks, I appreciate the help." The tall bartender gave the small female a nod before his dark blue eyes looked over to a customer who was wanting a refill. The young man followed Isheti to the customer and Akios training at the bar started.
As time went by, Akio learned more and more about the bar that he was now working at. As the female bartender explain how things worked around here Akio listened carefully and did whatever he was told. All in all, the man seemed to be rather comfortable working at the bar. He poured drinks with no problem, his customer serves was fine for the most part and he worked quick with ease. There was times a customer would as for a drink that Akio had no idea what that was and he would ask Isheti for help. If he was not sure about anything he would turn to the purple haired woman for advice. Hours had passed and now there was street lights lightening up the streets outside. Akio was sweeping up under the table as someone had dropped some fries under the table when Isheti asked if he had any questions. " Hmmm… No I think I am alright for now. I am sure I will think of something on my next shift." Sweeping up the fries into the dust pan, Akio looked at the petite woman. " How long have you worked here?"
