Chase felt his heart reignite in an almost deafening, to him, pulse as he heard the butterfly's voice... only this time much, much closer to the terrified white haired boy. Even if her words themselves were fairly silly, her voice alone inspired fear in Chase. Which while in reality he should have little to fear from the butterfly other than her invasion of personal space... his mind was not entirely thinking clearly when it came to her for a variety of reasons. Chase held his breath in response to her proximity as he heard her footsteps nearby and coming ever closer to him. It had been some time since he had risen from her yell of found you, but his mind was immediately going to the worst as he tried to calm it. 'Did I not hide myself adequately the second time? Does she have some ability that allows her to home in one me? No... she would be much louder if she suspected I was here and I am fairly certain I hide myself almost exactly the same... I hope.' He thought with high levels of anxiety of doubt creeping into his mind, even if his logical side tried to console him that he was fine. Especially with her prior outburst of found you that had been distant; though his mind was reasoning she may have said that to scare him out, which it had done earlier in part. He had no clue what the female butterfly was capable of after all.

Then the sounds of footsteps stopped, as Chase almost felt his heart stop as well. A sickening feeling slowly took hold over his stomach as time passed... and yet still no more sound from the usually loud butterfly. 'Perhaps she flew away?' He silently wondered, questioning if he would have even been able to hear her fly away or not. The sound had sort of just up and vanished with no real notice, and the silence was almost maddening. His view was only straight up and no more; he could not peek a glance into his little cove without disturbing the bean bags that shrouded and buried him. He almost wanted to leave the spot then and there; risk being caught just to end the horrible twisting feeling of anxiety in his gut. However, for better or worse he would get his answer. As he was teetering on the brink of losing his resolve and bolting from beneath the bean bags, he suddenly heard a loud sound of something impacting with the table. Immediately he gasped and drew in a quick breath of air, having unknowingly held it all this time while in fear. It was louder than he ever would've intended as he would stifle his breath almost immediately after and wait as his heart beat furiously against his chest.

The seconds ticked by as he wondered if he had signed his own death sentence; if all that anxiety and build up were some intentional plot by her to get him to reveal himself... or if she were merely toying with him. He then heard the sound of footsteps begin again... immediately recognizing them as Koryn's. And horrifyingly enough that they were getting closer. He swallowed lightly as his throat suddenly felt bone dry and gazed fearfully up at his only view of the outside world. He was expecting to see her face staring down at him in front of it. So fixated on that opening, he didn't notice a slight shadow overtaking the hole until it was too late. Suddenly, Chase felt a strong pressure on his chest as the air was pushed from his lungs due to his unpreparedness. Eyes widening, he may have let out a subconscious groan or sound of distress if he had any air left in his lungs. Eyes darting around, he finally saw something. Though not at all what he was expecting. He saw a pair of wings and the back of what he assumed was his butterfly hunter. Feeling the pressure persist on his chest and seeing that, his mind surmised what had happened. 'She...She is sitting on the bean bag above me...' He realized fearfully and in slight discomfort. While she was by no means heavy normally, he was effectively pinned beneath her due to the bean bag and could not move without revealing himself. After a few seconds of fearfully waiting for her to say she found him and no response, he felt some relief there. 'An unlucky coincidence, but at least she has no idea i'm here... unless she is toying with me.' He thought to himself, nervous with how close she was but a bit more relaxed.

He heard her begin to say letters, having no clue she was reading a book title above him. Hearing S T U, Chase was left wondering what it could possibly mean. 'Perhaps a code, a way to use her semblance... a way to find her prey?' He wondered as thousands of possibilities floated in his mind, and all growing worse as the seconds ticked by. Not knowing any context to it only made it all the worse for the boy. Then... Something unexpected happened. He heard the bean bag shift a bit front of him... before his hole to the world above grew dark. Looking up, he saw a flesh wall rapidly descending and barely had time to brace himself before he felt a hard pressure press down on his head now as he winced and did his best not to let out a sound. While the movement did not hurt him, it left the faunus in relative darkness as he reopened his eyes while she began her exclamation. He understood it, despite being buried beneath her, as her being frustrated she could not find him and that she couldn't understand letter. While the first was a relief and the latter gave context to S T U Chase had little time to dwell on that as he realized something while taking a small breath. She was covering his main source of air. 'This... does not bode well.' He thought as he then felt a as he suddenly felt another strong pressure against the bean bag above his legs; unbeknownst to him it was her kicking. Chase... lost his resolve quickly. Being pinned like this, buried unknowingly beneath the butterfly, and having his air reduced... was not something that helped his mind. His breaths had to be deeper to get as much as before, as he could still breathe beneath, and he was feeling claustrophobia a bit with her keeping him trapped beneath her. To the point that, after a few seconds as his mind screamed at him that he needed air and escape... He would begin to panic, and push against the bean bags above him as he tried to escape. Not being subtle in the slightest as Koryn would surely notice it.

OOC: He is pretty strong... He may accidentally lift the bean bags Koryn is on with her on top relatively easily if you'd like. Or he may be pretty ineffectual in it do to positing as parts of him may be revealed to Koryn and she may be able to keep him pinned beneath her.

Koryn sat in a grump for what felt like hours to her, she wasn't used to losing at this game but then again she hadn't played it with anyone other than her own kind. She opened her mouth to say something before she suddenly felt the bean bags from under her move, and being unable to react quick enough they were pushed away with her on top. She flew upwards to avoid falling over with them and looked down to where the pressure had came from.

Opened eyes glared at the bright white man, and a huge grin appeared with it. She flew at him very quickly and as he was still down, grabbed him by the shoulders of his top and laughed playfully. "You are the best person I have ever met at Chase!" she said, as she then attempted to pull him up to help him stand if he would allow her to. Letting go, she floated around the small area they were in, she was shockingly fast in the air. Landing back down she walked into his personal space again and right at the front of his face stood hers. Just when things started to seem awkward, Koryn reached her finger up and "boop!" booped him on the nose. A playful chuckle again came from the butterfly.

Koryn went to step backwards and instead her foot knocked off of one of the books she had thrown in a strop from before. She gasped in shock and then looked down, kicking it a few centimetres away from her in a huff. "Silly books and their difficult language!" she said, her cheeks going a shade of red. She had been trying for so long to learn the language and get better, but seemed to always find another hurdle or difficult book.

Air! Air was mercifully granted to the poor boy buried beneath the bean bag pile. The bean bag above him, along with its inhabitant, was lifted above the boy and tossed away. Unbeknownst to him that the butterfly escaped being launched in that, though she was the last focus on his mind. He immediately sprang up into a sitting position, still having his lower body buried under bean bags, and took deep breaths of air. It was not that he was necessarily suffering from oxygen deprivation, but that his mind thought he was. And as such, his body acted like he desperately needed the air to live. So his first few moments free from his hiding spot and prison were spent entirely focused on getting as much air into his screaming lungs as he could. 'I nearly suffocated...' He thought in slight disbelief, his logical and rational side temporarily having no voice in his head space. Eyes looking down at himself, he was about to pull himself free from his almost grave when out of nowhere something grabbed the shoulders of his top. Eyes going wide and a gasp escaping him, his right hand would go on top of the arm on his left shoulder and was about to rip it off when he heard a playful laugh. While he was a pale person before... he went even more white as his eyes slowly raised and noticed whose hand it was. 'K-Koryn...' He thought with slight fear and disbelief. He hadn't noticed her once he got out, not really having time to focus on the danger of her. He knew to expect her beforehand... but panic had pushed that thought away for survival.

For a moment he would stare into her eyes with shock on his face, red orbs full of uncertainty and fear... Until he heard her speak and say he was the best person she ever met at chase. His fear would turn to slight confusion at what that meant. 'If I am the best what happened to all the others...' He thought, wondering if he was just one in a long line of victims. His eyes would glance from her, to past her... to his shoulder where she held him lightly pinned plotting an escape route... before he realized something. His hand was on top of hers. A bright red blush overtook his face as he quickly retracted that hand away from hers, embarrassed by that action. Skin on skin contact with a girl was... not appropriate. Not in his mind at least, not without much more familiarity. It was not the proper thing to do, and he hoped she didn't get the wrong impression of him from... 'Wh-why am I worried about that... when my life may be on the line...' He thought to himself, confused. His more survivalist mind should be in control but... the girls choice of clothing, or lack thereof, combined with her propensity to invade personal space had made his mind off balance. And thus no mindset that could help him deal with her apathetically.

He then felt her grip tighten on him as he was being lifted out from his hideaway. His mind was running on high alert trying to process what to do, but it was too much for Chase to keep up with. He didn't know what to do, and could not come up with a fast response. So as she tried lifting him... she received no resistance as the crimson eyed boy was near limp in her grip with eyes darting everywhere. No one was near enough, from what he could see, to offer him aid from this butterfly. After he was lifted to standing, his body working enough to make sure he didn't crumple into a heap, he managed to stand on his own as he regained a small measure of control. While she had left him standing, it did not seem to be what she intended for herself. She would float and move... worryingly fast. To the point he felt that if he were to run from her now, she would overtake him easily. 'Unburdened in the air... like a bird after its prey.' He thought to himself, knowing the gravity of the situation. There was little chance for escape since she could likely outmatch him for speed, and she wouldn't have obstacles like he would. He was stuck at her mercy... weapons nearby, but he didn't know if he would be fast enough to reach them.

As he was still processing his options, or lack thereof, she would land in front of him and walk towards him. Closer and closer as he found his legs stuck fast to the ground, eyes watching her but not daring to make eye contact. Again, she proved how little she cared for or knew of personal space as she stopped until their faces were barely any distance apart... Chase having to raise his eyes with another blush not only because of their height difference, but also because... well... decency. Not long passed as nothing was done, Chase feeling increasingly anxious and worried about what she was planning. 'I... I can't see if she is going to do anything like this... But I can't look down... Can I...?' He thought worried, unsure of anything. Unsure if it was worth seeing too much skin to see if she planned to harm him or if it were better not to for decency and ignorance. While it was bliss... he didn't necessarily want to die either. Finally, after what felt like forever to him but was not long at all, his face would turn down to face her... When at that exact moment she brought her finger to his nose while saying boop...booped his nose. He blinked once in utter confusion as to what happened. He had no idea what a boop was, or why she chose to do that to his nose. He had no idea how to even take that as his eyes would blink rapidly and look to her, almost as if in explanation but not being able to ask. He heard her playfully chuckle, still confused as to what was going on.

It was then that Koryn would attempt to step back but was stopped by a book which was promptly knocked over. The only reason Chase even noticed that was her gasp and her looking down to see what had happened. She would then kick the book away in a huff. Chase would, if seen, visibly wince when she did that. 'Books are not meant to be treated like that.' He thought to himself as his mind mentally debated if it was worth going to get the book, berating her, or just staying put. He would hear her say the book was silly and complain about their difficult language; at least he assumed it was her complaining. Looking to her briefly, he would see her cheeks go red. He would get a slightly distant look on his face for a moment as his mind went into thought, eyes focused on the book she tossed. 'Does she have difficulty reading?' He wondered, as he remembered the letters she said. He had no way to know for sure though, and he was not the person to teach her if that was the case. "Y-you shouldn't... kick books. It's... wrong to... do that." He would say, purposefully not making eye contact but speaking far less meek that before. Mostly because it was a book she had done that to. No matter what frustration or what they thought about books, they shouldn't damage them in his mind. His eyes would then slowly raise a little to her, making slight eye contact. "So... who.... won? And... what does the... winner... get." He would ask, far more meek after his earlier statement. His anger and annoyance only being enough to say it confidently once... but evaporating as he recalled the game. If she won... he didn't even want to imagine what that meant for him. But he needed to know though, almost a morbid curiosity of his own fate. She didn't say he gave up, so he was pretty sure that meant he lost. But she called him the best as the game... so maybe there was slight hope.

Koryn noticed Chases reaction when she booted the book, she stood quiet for a brief moment as she saw him raise his eyes to look right at hers. For some reason, she got a weird feeling in her stomach, tilting her head at him like a confused puppy. This was the first time she was noticing him giving her eye contact, and she enjoyed it. Most people didn't, mainly couldn't, look her in the eyes, most likely because they were fearful she would assume that they wanted to play.

Then he opened his mouth and finally spoke to her. She listened to what he had to say and then looked down at the book, "Oh.. I see.." she responded, as she picked up the book and dusted it down like she had seen Sassy do with a book before. Some dust came off it which made her cough, "Why do people like this dust around their face?!" she said, as she closed her eyes and wafted the dust away with her hand. Koryn still was unsure of why she shouldn't kick a book, did they have feelings?

As she went to ask her next question, the young man asked something else. "Well, I suppose I didn't find you.." she said, holding the book in both hands as she then had an idea. A smirk appeared on her face, as she looked back at Chase. "So, our first game of chase out of many.. you won the first one, but I can't wait for our next one another time!!" she said, a playful giggle came from the butterfly.

She paused for a brief moment, and then flew over towards Chase, again, a bit too close for comfort but not for her. She held the book out to him, "Since you won.. you get.." she all of a sudden went shy, Koryn, shy?! "Uhmm.." she mumbled a little, before she pointed to the letter P on the book front cover. "You get to tell me what this number- ah letter is!" she said, holding it so that they both could see.

Chase was surprised when she stood still as their eyes made contact. From all he had seen of the butterfly, she seemed to be the definition of a ball of energy. He was unsure what caused her to do so, as he could hardly count it as himself. But that was a matter of thought for another time, as he was just grateful for the relative and momentary peace. After he said his peace on not damaging books, she would look down at it and respond that she understood. Or at least, that is what he interpreted it as. As well as by her actions in which she would pick up the book and brush off the dust...making a rather sizeable cloud of it that chase stepped back from to avoid being caught in. However, Koryn seemed to not have been so fortunate as she would cough from the dust cloud. He felt a little bad that after she dusted off the book that she suffered a bit from it, but there was nothing he could do to help her in that regard. She would ask a silly question of why people liked the dust in their face as she closed her eyes and waved the dust away. Chase had a slight smile on his face from the comment, realizing she was being serious about it. With eyes closed and that expression on her face, he could almost forget how intimidating she could be. Almost. "If you...care for a book...there is not so much dust. No one...likes the dust." He would say quietly, trying to explain to her that the dust was because people did not care for the books.

Then, they would get to the matter of importance; the game of chase. Or hide and go seek as he had known it. He saw she now had the book in both hands, Chase mildly surprised she hadn't thrown it after the dust storm, before responding that she didn't find him. He immediately felt a relief. 'If she didn't find me...then that means I won the game I believe.' He thought to himself, his reasoning seeming to lead to his continued existence on the mortal plane. However, he would see a smirk appear on her face as he became curious as to why. He had expected a defeated look from so animated and expression-full of a person, so he watched her with interest. She would say he won...their first game of many with a playful giggle. Though to chase it did not instill lightheartedness, but more so a bit of fear that he may be a victim of her games in future. He thought one victory was all he would need, but it seemed to have been a fools hope. 'I sincerely hope there is no next time.' He thought to himself though dared not say for now. Suddenly, after a short pause, she would fly over to him as Chase took a few stumbling steps back from surprise. His heart was racing, eyes darting around, and mind running at full sprint. The relative lack of movement from her earlier had made her sudden invasion of personal space all the more jarring to him, and his minor sense of security shattered. Being in the confined area they were, he could hardly keep space between them even if he tried.

His eyes, having nowhere to look really, reluctantly would remain on hers. Eye contact with her was better than looking down, and he couldn't look up with her ability to fly really. She could just as easily ensure he was looking to her regardless. Further, he needed to have an idea of her movements to have a chance to survive this butterfly. While he had won the game and she seemed intent to keep him around for more games, the extroverts were very unpredictable and were very bad at making him feel comfortable usually. He honestly could still pin no definite feeling to this girl. She was too in his face to be apathetic, to invasive of personal space to be comfortable, too energetic to let his guard down with, too scary with her games...but seemed nice and naive as well. 'Why are human beings such complex creatures.' He wondered to himself, despite both of them being faunus. He honestly saw the races as one for the most part, even if he his his faunus nature. It was about then she would mention him getting something, as he noticed she was holding the book out to him. He was hesitant to take it from her hands though. She seemed to change moods and thought processes quickly, and with her nature he wasn't sure she wouldn't use it as a chance to grab his hand or worse...hug him. Though her sudden change to shyness caught him off guard, especially as she would seem unsure and mumble. This was not something he expected from her in the slightest, and he almost reached out to her to see if he was hallucinating or not. Before he could though, she would point to something on the book all of a sudden and say he would have to tell her what the letter was. Chase had a confused expression on his face for a moment.

'My prize...is to read a letter to her? Such a strange prize...' He thought to himself, not quite believing this was her version of a prize for him. He did not dare think what a prize for her would be in that case. Cautiously, Chase would lean in a bit to look at the letter, identifying it as P. though he would also note the actual name of the book. "The letter is...P. The book...is called Star Ocean." He would say softly and slowly. This only reinforced his thought earlier that Koryn may not be able to read well. He would gulp as a sudden thought crossed his mind. 'Keep your friends close...and enemies closer.' The simple, yet significant, phrase drifted by in relation to a different urge. While he was fearful of the butterfly...he saw her treatment of a book...he wondered if, perhaps...he could get her to like to read. Though it would require...a great deal of effort from him, and her to consent. 'Am I willing to do this...' He wondered, thoughts of his team change and Drac and many more drifting through his mind. Reading was something he was good and comfortable at...Maybe...Maybe he could make a friend like this...Crimson eyes would focus in on Koryn's after he took a deep breath. "If you'd like...I can read it to you? And you...can ask me any question about reading...that you may have." Chase would say, sounding a bit more confident though giving the offer clearly took a lot from him to do. His hands were shaking slightly from nerves and he would swallow to try to help his dry throat. This...was not something he was used to, accustomed to, or ever thought he would desire to do. But...seeing her being embarrassed over it, he felt a natural pull to want to help. How he was going to read a book to her while also helping her learn when he had trouble speaking? He hadn't the slightest clue. But he felt like trying. "For as long as I am able..at least. I am...not very good at conversation." He would say much quieter than before now, revealing one of his own weaknesses.

Koryn's face crumpled into a frown as she attempted to read the book cover at the same time Chase told her what the letter is. She looked at Chase and examined him up and down with her eyes, "You take a long time to say something don't you bright white?" she said, her bright eyes waiting for him to say something. She tilted her head when he finally did speak, offering to read the book to her. Instantly her face went from a frown to one of pure delight, she threw her arms in the air and flew around on the spot in a twirl. "WHAT A FANTASTIC IDEA!" she said, thrusting the book into his chest in the hope he would take it, she let go of it and almost ran over to the bean bags close to them, sitting down like a child waiting for a gift she beamed at him.

In a way, without knowing it, maybe Koryn would be good for Chase at getting him to speak a little bit more. "You are good at Chase, maybe you can get better at conversation?!" she said, patting the bean bag beside her. "I love the magic of books, I've been trying to learn but I don't always have someone to correct me!" she said, clapping her hands. "This was meant to be! I'll treat you to something after you read some to me!" she said, acting like a child that had never received a gift before.

                                      ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

Chase was still, despite an afternoon with this energetic butterfly, unused to her scrutiny and closeness. Even if it was not meant in a malicious way, it was something that would take getting used to.What was more surprising to him though was her statement after he read the cover for her. 'Is it really...yes I suppose it is that obvious.' He thought to himself silently with some embarrassment, as she realized that he was very thoughtful and deliberate in his words. If perhaps not in the same wording he would use. He would only nod to her when she mentioned that. His words, he felt, were worth very little. He was an outcast and exile, so his words usually had little meaning. Actions, as they say, speak louder than words. Which is what he usually preferred to do. He did not like to speak either...not unless it was necessary or needed at the least. He always felt as if they would be heavily judged and scrutinized, hence his reluctance and very deliberate choices in wording when he did speak. While he doubted the butterfly read him that well, at least he hoped she did not, he still found it a bit surprising she realized that. Not quite sure how he felt about it honestly. 'As it seems I have accepted the nickname.' He thought to himself with an internal sigh, only just realizing he responded to bright-white without correcting her. While her face had been a frown to this point, it immediately changed when he offered to read the book to her. Which almost made him want to take a few steps away from her by the suddenness of her mood shift. Her face turned to delight, she threw her arms in the air...and she flew around the spot in a twirl. 'I may come to regret this decision.' He thought, practically frozen to the spot due to fear and shock.

She would enthusiastically exclaim it was a wonderful idea, making Chase want to shrink as they were in a library where you were supposed to be quiet, before he found the book thrust into his chest. This did cause him to stumble back a bit as his hands instinctively wrapped around the book. As soon as he did and regained his balance, he would turn to look to the butterfly...who was already sitting on the bean bags with the same look his twin would have on Christmas day. 'She may yet be the death of me.' He thought with an internal nervous laugh, only half joking. She truly was like a kid, which was still no more reassuring than what he thought of her before. At the very least, she was beaming at him with what seemed like innocent happiness. It was much better than the feeling her had when being hunted by her. She would say he was good at chase, but that he could maybe get better at conversation too while patting the spot besides her. He blushed slightly at the thought of sitting next to her and reading to her, not knowing how comfortable he was with being so close to anyone. Or how it may look to any onlookers, though they were in the library...so that was more of a paranoid thought. Or so he rationalized it. He was very hesitant in walking towards her, but did slowly start to...almost jumping when she clapped, as it caused him to freeze in place. She would say she loved the magic of books, but had no one to correct her while she read. 'Books are magical, I can agree with that.' He thought to himself as he took a deep breath to recollect himself and continue towards her.

When finally in front of her, she would say this was meant to be and that she would treat him to something after. He was not quite sure how tempting the offer was...more time with the energetic butterfly could give him a heart attack. Further, her last prize for him was to read for her. So he didn't quite know if it was truly a treat for him or for her at this stage. He took a deep steadying breath, and slowly seated himself next to her. Careful to keep the book safe, his descent would be very controlled and silent. Probably a stark contrast to her own seating. He would look down to the book as a slight blush came to his face. One for being so close to her, seated next to her...and the other for what he was about to say. "That...may be nice. You really...don't have to though. I...just want to help if I can...Thank you." Chase would say slowly and shyly, not daring to look directly to her as he said so. He wasn't sure whether he wanted her to take back the offer or not honestly. He was a mixture of emotions. He may actually be able to get a friend. Or the butterfly may lead to his demise with her nature. He had no clue. But he...he strangely was willing to take the chance. He would let out a long breath and slowly look to her again. "I'll try to do my best. Sorry if I am...slow at it. I...like to think on my words." He would say with a nervous smile, before opening the book between the two of them so they both could read at once. He would then try to teach her and help with her reading as best he could, going slow to explain things if need be.

Koryn looked at Chase like a confused puppy, her head tilted and her eyes a little confused. "You stand still a lot... I must learn this skill to become better at Chase!" she said, almost as if she had a lightbulb moment. He was very silent, and it was almost as if she couldn't cope with silence for more than even ten seconds, "Elder Kim at home would have made sure your tongue was working, I've never met anyone as silent as you!" she said, rambling again, knowing he wouldn't respond, and becoming slowly but surely okay with it. Koryn quite enjoyed the idea of being the only one to speak, butterflies were always fighting for the spotlight, they just thoroughly enjoyed being seen, heard and sharing the love they had. Bright White finally came to sit next to her, in a way she had never seen before. A playful, yet menacing giggle came from her as she wiggled her legs in excitement, just like a four year old would at the sight of candy. Koryn caught eye contact with him, for the first time in a while he was actually looking at her, she playfully glared at him and made a funny face before she giggled again, "I have found your weakness!" she said, before she remembered that she needed to remain quiet now to listen to the book, if she kept talking she wouldn't be able to get lost in it. "Don't apologise for being slow, its kinda like the opposite of me, we would work together well, yanno?" she said, shuffling up closer to him, not understanding the connotations that could come with doing that. Koryn got into the magic of the book within the first page, she would continue to gasp, laugh and smile as he read it, becoming lost in the world of the book as he explained words to her when she asked. She eventually ended up clinging his arms at points when she would get so excited, wishing that this book would last forever.

The butterfly would comment on how he stayed still often, and that she would need to learn how if she wanted to be better at the game Chase. 'There could not have been a more contradictory name for a game.' He silently thought to himself, though only nodded in response to it. His being still had led her to quite literally sitting on him without realizing it...till his panic set in, and mild claustrophobia, which cause him to react the way he did. He truly did not realize he even had such a fear, or that a simple game of chase could make him so panicked. But then again...he was not exactly known for being confident or brave, far as he judged himself as the least. Especially when talking was a stressful endeavor for him much of the time. She would then mention an Elder Kim, who she claimed would have him talking more as she had never met someone as silent as he. He knew not where she came from but...admittedly, he knew himself to be very very quiet in comparison to all those he had met thus far. So he had no reason to believe all other butterflies were quite as energetic and talktative as her...though he did hope they were not. One butterfly was hard enough to deal with...two Koryns would be a death sentence for the poor boy. He would finally sit besides her...as it seemed to excite/ delight her to know end from her physical reaction. He was growing concerned for his safety the closer he was to her with how...well, physical she was with expressing herself. Her playful, yet menacing giggle, did nothing to assuage his fears.

That feeling of ill ease did fade when he made eye contact with her as she playfully glared before making a funny face and giggling. Making him smile shyly as he internally laughed a little from her actions. 'She is very hard to predict.' He thought to himself silently, for better and for worse. Though usually for worse in his case. She would claim to have found his weakness, to which he just had a momentary fearful look that faded as he realized what it was in regards to. He only softly let out a sigh as a result of it. She would say he had no reason to be sorry for being slow, that he was a bit of the opposite to her, and that they would work well together. He would silently nod as he pondered the idea of it. 'We do seem to be opposites, so perhaps we do cover for each others weaknesses. However...' He began to think on the possibility of it, before his mind went to how she made him feel. He truly was unsure if he could survive with her as a teammate, solely due to the potential of a heart attack with how much sudden excitement she would bring. Multiple times in the span of an hour even. But there was stuff they could learn from one another. She could perhaps help him with his...social anxiety, though he was unsure. He, at the very least, could try to help her read.

And so Chase would begin to read the book, going at a calm and relaxed pace as he softly spoke to give her time to question and process things as they went. Going as far as to point with his index finger at each word as he read, so she could follow and see how each word was spoken. He did feel a faint blush color his cheeks when she had shuffled closer to him, which was to be expected with the butterfly but wasn't any less intimate feeling which made him embarrassed. Her expressions as he read the story were...rewarding though. Every laugh, smile and gasp so animated that it was clear to him she was fully immersed in it. Which was always a rewarding feeling when telling a story. He would have been as well...except when she would cling to him arm causing him to blush heavily and feel as if even breathing were unacceptable at times. But he would persevere in reading, finger tracing every word spoken, until the end of the book. Somehow surviving the energetic butterfly to the end of it. "The end." He would softly conclude the story, and slowly close the book. His eyes would travel up to the far window, and notice a fair amount of time had actually passed in their reading. He had honestly, despite the butterfly, not realized it. His gaze would slowly, shyly, turn to hers. "It would seem...the day is near its end. Sadly, and I do mean sadly...I need to go. Perhaps...Some other time, we can meet again? You may treat me then if you'd like." He would offer, still nervous about more interactions with the butterfly...but having accepted her for how she was, and finding he did enjoy her company. Despite how often it made his heart race, and not in the good way.
