He put the boxes back into the bags and picked them up again. Cordelia was standing there beside him, and she wasn't perfect, but neither was he, and that was why it worked. That was why they needed each other, and why they were meant to be together, regardless of what had happened in the past. There was no one in his world that was more perfect for him than Cordelia Carden.
And he had an inkling of where that put him, but the idea frightened him in a way he couldn't quite reason. The intent, the love, the desire to have their lives permanently entwined; those were all there, bursting at the seams with how strong those emotions were.
But the step needed to get there.
Fritz smiled at her. "I think the sentiment is mutual," he said affectionately, and then gestured to the living room.
"Shall we?"
