"Yes, you did tell me." Solas replied. "And two other Eternal Senshi and one Polaris Knight as well." They knew.

The woman nodded her head to resume the flow of conversation as things got back under control. "I'm only teasing." Sort of. "About needing to fill this house with kids. If you two wanted to live in it by yourselves with your dog, more power to you, as well." That seemed like a nice thought, though. That they thought about adopting. It kind of made her wonder about...

Well.

It wasn't something she really had the right to ponder at the current moment.

She glanced around for this dog as well, now looking forward to seeing a furry companion. "So what do you two do when you're not gallivanting around in bottles at night?" Brows lifted as she asked her question, and helped herself to some other snacks that were laid out.

"Yes, well," Ignacio seemed a bit indignant at the fact that he perhaps shared that information with exactly four more people than it needed to be shared with--maybe even five--and instead carried on with, "sometimes you just have to brag about your talents."

On one hand, he was right. On the other hand, he needed to stop talking.

Before he said anything else absurd, Ignacio occupied himself by throwing some of the leftover shakshouka on a plate and spooning it into his mouth. Yes. Food. Let Richard and Solas talk about adoption or what have them. Honestly, Ignacio wasn't sure he would want to adopt. He definitely wouldn't want to have a child through surrogacy at this point; this city was a mess, this world was arguably infested with Chaos, and he didn't want to be involved with bringing any child into a world where someone might cut their life far too short.

Maybe if there was a powered person who had lost their family in some way--

The sudden barking in response to her name pulled Ignacio out of his thoughts, and he glanced behind him to see their long-haired mid-size golden mix trot out to them, let out a happy bark at Richard, and then trot over to the new guest.

Then, she sat and wagged her tail.

"Looks like Luz wants to say hi," offered Ignacio, with a laugh. He then continued, actually answering the question, "On most days, I'm acting, actually. Movies, mostly. My name's been in lights," Ignacio winked.

Definitely very different from gallivanting in bottles, but the gallivanting in bottles part certainly helped him keep the appropriate physique for most of his roles.

Richard had smiled reflexively in response to the happy bark, and he wasn't surprised to see Luz go sit with their guest. She was gregarious, after all. Even his parents, who had been hesitant at first, had fallen in love with her. Speaking of his parents... Richard laughed, a bit. "My parents have made it clear they expect grandchildren one way or another. I've been placating them with 'eventually' for years, so it's just become habit at this point. There was one time my mother offered to help us find a surrogate if that was our problem, but luckily she dropped it." After even Garber had to get involved on that one.

The rest of the questioning was, quite frankly, a welcome diversion from trying not to die from drinking water.

"I'm a dance instructor at my mother's studio. Nothing billable, but I've got awards for it, at least," he gave Ignacio a good-natured roll of the eyes, punctuated with an affectionate tug on the ends of some of Ignacio's hair. "Ignacio helps me sometimes, every now and again. He doesn't actually have two left feet, it turns out." He was downplaying it a little, but it felt weird to Richard to talk about his awards when his mother had literally cases full of them.

He only had one case. Nothing special. His time would come.

"Besides that, I... just finished my Master's a few months ago, so I'm still adapting to being able to have a social life." That last was said with a chuckle. "And seeing the sun. The sun is nice. I might even be able to have friends!" He said this with exaggeratedly wide eyes and a thick slather of fake astonishment.

It was only a slightly noticeable, but Solas was delighted when Luz made her grand appearance. The woman abandoned the snacks to instead focus her attention on the canine. She knelt, letting Luz sniff her hands, and then proceeded to pet the beautiful girl.

"Ah." Solas hummed. "So that's where all the confidence comes from." She mused, lips quirking up into a smirk to hear Ig was an actor. It was interesting. Something she hadn't expected to hear from the man, but after hearing it...she couldn't see him as anything else.

"Oh? What kind of dance does your mother's studio focus on?" This was really interesting to hear, and the woman was wondering if she could introduce Nadia to Richard. Maybe it'd be a way for her friend to still be involved with what she loved...

"Congratulations, as well. What's your Masters in?" Completing a Masters sounded like a very distinguishing goal, and it reminded Solas that she had a Bachelors she was close to finishing and...after that? Who knew.

Luz was, naturally, absolutely delighted by the attention. She sniffed Solas' hand eagerly, before sitting down right in front of her and letting herself be pet. Overall, she seemed to be a fairly well-behaved dog, though the way her tail was eagerly wagging was probably betraying how still and calm she seemed to be keeping herself.

Barely restrained excitement, really.

Ignacio snorted when she called him out on his so-called confidence again. More open than he might have been willing to be even a few weeks prior, he offered a, "Fake it 'til ya make it," with a light chuckle. Confidence was something he knew he had spades of when he was younger, but that was before--

Well.

It had gotten easier over time, but it had taken several years to even get back to this point. Admittedly, the growing support network helped. Richard helped. The Bells helped. Being Eternal and Transcendent helped. And yet, there was still the constant nagging threat in the back of his mind he just couldn't--

Ignacio leaned a bit into Richard's affectionate hair pulling, rolling his own eyes a bit when Richard remarked that he didn't have two left feet. "I've done theatre too, Arra," teased Ignacio, warmly, bumping him a bit with his hip. "Can't exactly do much theatre these days if you got two left feet."

He turned his attention back to the shakshouka, mostly leaving the next questions in his Arra's court, though he did take the chance to remark, "Arra and I dance a hot Argentine Tango, lemme tell you."

"Ah," Richard tried not to let his face get too red at Ignacio's remarks, though he wasn't sure how well he was succeeding. "My mother specializes in Latin dances, but does dabble in contemporary and once thought about East Coast swing?" He coughed, a bit. "I do mostly Latin dancing, but I might start trying to learn some other categories if I can find a good teacher for it." Being a teacher, himself, plus competition, meant he didn't have much time for learning entire new dance forms, however.

"Oh, and my Master's is in business. It's an MBA." He rubbed the back of his neck. "I have a certification for first aid and sports medicine, though? Seemed prudent." It had come in handy, too. He was debating going back to school for a bachelor's in sports medicine, if he were honest.

And having medical and first aid training beyond what he already had seemed like it would come in handy with the new world he'd just gotten himself into, too...

But, for now, he was going to enjoy not having classes and homework, because being an instructor came with enough homework designing routines and lesson plans without having to also take classes. Plus, competition season was coming up, and trying to do all of that at once was hell. While he did want to get it done before his mother retired, he knew that he had some time yet. Safira was probably going to have to be lovingly 'encouraged' to retire, if he knew his mother. By the same token, he had heard his parents talking more frequently about 'when we give the boys the house', so there was that...

What the hell were they going to do with that whole house good lord...

"Oh, and, uh, thank you." For the congratulations. He should probably acknowledge those and not just like... accept them like he was full of himself, or something.

What a good dog.

Solas was more than content to stay kneeling on the floor to pet Luz, looking away from the canine only when Ignacio and Richard spoke. She smirked at Ig's fake it til you make it and couldn't disagree with the sentiment. "Is that right? How hot are we talking, exactly, hm?"

She shifted her attention to Richard. "That sounds fun---do you have a lot of students at the studio?" She also seemed to perk up at the mention of first aid. "That's great experience to have. Would you mind teaching me what you know about first aid?" Solas asked unabashedly. "It is incredibly prudent to have."

Between the redness of Arra's cheeks and the smirk on Solas' face, Ignacio was absolutely grinning with the fact that he caught both of their attention. To Richard, he winked, before turning to Solas and opting to actually answer what was likely a rhetorical question.

"So hot you might consider abandoning that Russian hunk of meat of yours for something a little spicier," replied Ignacio, wink and all, before taking another spoonful of his food.

And then he thought about what he said.

... Well.

Too late now.

Ignacio faked it 'til he made it with all the confidence he could, still smirking when he swallowed the food down, still smirking a bit as he leaned up to kiss Richard's admittedly extremely warm cheek.

He was going to shut up for a few more minutes. Maybe let them talk first aid a bit.

(Which actually was an extremely prudent skill to have, especially with all of their positions as powered. He'd be lying if he didn't say he had on brief occasion wished he had told Richard about his powered form sooner so he could actually utilize some of his skills. For others though, considering he avoided Richard's help himself in the past--)

"We keep pretty busy at the studio. It's a full-time job for me now, really, between teaching, the students' competitions, my own competitions..." After all, it raised the prestige of Kampana if he and his mother competed regularly and brought home awards.

He was trying very hard to get his brain back on the narrow path away from the suggestions the conversation carried in undertone.

"I can try teaching you first aid? I mean, I'm certified, and it takes some coursework and a couple exams and all, but I can give you a crash course in some basics, I guess." He rubbed the back of his neck. "I think it's a good idea for everyone to have at least a little first aid knowledge, so..."

After all, there was no guarantee that someone would be around if they needed help, so it was best if they kept reliance on outside assistance to a minimum.

To say nothing of the 'secret identity' part.

Solas' hands were still on Luz, but she slowly turned her torso to look at Ignacio. Was he hitting on her Russian hunk of meat who wasn't quite her's (yet...hopefully)? She stared at him for a long moment, but the way the corner of her mouth twitched indicated she was fighting the urge to smirk, amused. "You're right, Ignacio." She mused. "He's not as spicy as a hot mess."

She did smirk this time, in earnest.

"And I like my meat to be so cold it burns."

Something of an inside joke, but considering Encke had seen Beringia in action (or lack there of) he'd probably get it.

"That sounds very engaging." Solas replied, switching gears to Richard, and nodded to the man. "I'd be very grateful for anything you're willing to teach me. Some knowledge is better than none, because I agree. It's a skill everyone in our field should posses."

He might have been hitting on the Russian Polarian cold as ice knight a little bit.

A little.

If Ignacio had learned something over the last ten years, it was how to roll with the punches. Some sassing couldn't possibly be any worse than some of the other things, and Ignacio couldn't help a snort into his food, including when she remarked she wanted her meat so cold it burnt. "So you're into cold play, eh?"

He let that sit for a moment, and then another.

Before adding, "I put the hot in hot mess."

Ignacio leaned into Arra, and couldn't help a small murmur of, "As much as I hit on other people on occasion, you're the hottest." It was probably loud enough for Solas to hear. Ignacio didn't exactly care.

His dancing, first aid knowing, lithe Uranian knight was the hottest of them all.

Richard had smothered a half-startled laugh-cough at "cold play" that turned into an actual laugh-cough at "hot in hot mess". He would apologise for Ignacio's conduct, but he got the impression Solas didn't actually mind overmuch.

Instead, he regained his composure as much as he could and gave Solas a chuckle even as he leaned into Ignacio just a little bit. "I mean, I'm free most Thursday and Monday nights." He pushed, albeit reluctantly, away from Ignacio and went to fetch a pen and paper.

"Here, let me give you my number. Oh, and feel free to take any of the food you want, because my father always cooks way too much." A pause. "Actually, let's move into the living room. It's a lot more comfortable than the kitchen island."

And with that, Richard led the way towards the sofa, gesturing for Ignacio and their new... friend? to follow him.

He was starting to get used to this sort of unpredictability.
