Lacerta, (( At 10/10 points ))

She was still gliding around rather aimlessly. Unsure of what to do or where to go had left Lacerta in a fugue state. She'd seen both Acubens and Jason perish in this trial and so far hadn't seen either return. Mel hadn't been seen since she had rammed into his crane at the start. For a moment, even as others were entering the environment, Lacerta felt as desolate as the open sky around her. Her tears had stopped but she was still at a loss of where to go now.

If she just up and left would that be alright? Would she find the others? Too many questions swirled around in her mind; almost enough to distract her from a crane that was flying up sharply to level off to fly alongside her own in tandem style. Lacerta felt the swoosh of air that heralded the arrival and glanced up to be met with a familiar face peering at her. But how was it possible?

"A-c-cubens? But I saw you vanish..."

Lacerta trailed off with a question still unasked as Acubens commented on her clearing the trial. Could she feel good about that? Maybe she could later but right now she was still on edge.

With a small frown still present Lacerta attempted to take comfort in the words that Acubens spoke. It would be easier to go back to the central location to wait instead of risking her safety riding the thermals and Acubens had mentioned that she would come back with Jason in tow ...hopefully.

"I'll wait for you then at the Central Hub," Lacerta paused and then looked Acubens squarely in the eyes before continuing, "and I won't open anymore bottles when I get there," the last bit that she spoke was more of a soft question to the older senshi as she got ready to leave, "Don't take too long?"

With that said the teen thought of returning to the Central Hub and vanished from sight. Her crane, now riderless, veered off sharply and began a tight spiralling free fall towards the ground, miles below.

Malaise - Entering

It turned out a change in environment did a lot - and probably the most significant thing beyond being his normal height again (maybe more significant than that) was that his peacock had basically just turned into a damn bird prince, offering him a ride on his replacement, an oversized origami bird. And for a minute, Malaise could just stare, because this trip just got a whole lot more fun. ******** YES he'd take a ride with the handsome princely looking guy, both on the bird and wherever else he might want one.

Malaise opened his mouth to accept when abruptly the bird-turned-prince grabbed something and immediately exploded, raining princely chunks all over the place. "Oh, " he sighed, more like he was disappointed rather than shocked. He made a note in his book about the exploding prince and snapped it shut with a sigh of resignation - just before someone else exploded, and yup. Nope. Not ******** around with this. Trip or not, he wasn't that eager to self-destruct.

So he did grab a bird, but with no real purpose in mind, he just decided to see how high up he could go because why the ******** not.

Mel spent more time scrambling to stay on and control his crane after his ride collided with someone else's. He had no idea who it was but they nearly sent him tumbling off the paper, only his claws and some wild moves kept him in the air. By the time he had situated himself he realized he had lost the little white thing... and apparently most of his team.

With a kitty frown he zipped up towards the scary lady, batting at a cloud as he went. "Hey look! Another one of those white cloud thingies." He kept it between his paws this time as he swooped up near the scary lady. "Oy! Where'd they go? You'r not going to eat me are you? How did you get your hair so curly? I love your outfit by the way its really cool looking! Do you think there is a bathroom here in these bottles? What about a snack bar? I could really go for some fish!" He started to ramble, as he was rather apt to do, as he let the crane lazily bob around Acubens.

This time the crane he grabbed was a rich blue that clashed with his uniform but he supposed at least it was one he could fly on. He spent his time in the sky looking for General Zircon, nose wrinkling when he couldn't see her.

He spotted the gentleman who'd accompanied him in the beginning and debated directing his crane towards him.

Something caught his eye and he reached for the piece of cloud that turned out to be very solid in his hand.

It wasn't the snitch but it was something. Feeling more confident, he directed his new crane towards the man.

It seemed as if her arrival had triggered a flood of other new arrivals and for a long moment Phoebe just sat on her crane and watched with wide, bright eyes as body after body tumbled through the air before more or less landing on the floating cranes that drifted idly around her.

The closes, a chaotic senshi with a gauzy overlay and feathery black wings. Her first guess was corrupt, but she didn't think that was quite right. Still, the other girl was met with open wariness as she spoke. "That's fine." Not fighting was certainly preferable to a an unbalanced brawl on the back of a flying piece of origami, but she wasn't about to simply let down her guard.

Then there was a cat, and other girl, and then a civilian boy who had barely even seemed to get his balance before something hit him from the side and he exploded.

Phoebe gasped, hands snapping up to clasp over her mouth before she ducked her head and closed her eyes, but she'd already seen it, and there was no taking it back now. That image was going to be burned into her mind...

A voice to her side startled her upright again with a startled yelp but it was just another mauvian. Heart hammering, hand pressed to her chest, the senshi let out a shaking laugh of a sigh before offering him a smile. "H-hi, I'm alright." Mostly alright. She still needed to find Chauvet.

But first, there was a golden crane to catch. Although that was proving difficult. She did manage to scoop another armful of cloud though.

Cats were supposed to be able to see small, fast moving things though, right? "Hey, do you see the golden crane anywhere?"

Jason wasn't respawning. Jason wasn't respawning. Jason wasn't ******** respawning. Acubens clicked her nails against the paper of the crane as her nerves began to sing louder and louder. She couldn't even make out the words, nor the pictures that were swirling around her mind. She caught glimpses of Jason in the open grave, eyes wide open but unbreathing. Saw him hanging lifeless and suspended in a bottle somewhere. Saw him being plucked from her by wickedly pointed and ink-stained claws.

When had she begun crying? Sudden her face was so red and so wet and she couldn't make it stop. Her heart pounded and somewhere in the back of her mind, Acubens wondered when the last time she had a panic attack was. She couldn't remember... last year sometime? But she knew the feeling like it was yesterday. The erratic pounding of her heart. The disjointed breathing which never seemed to grasp enough oxygen. The way her vision tunneled into a single pinpoint of focus that Acubens couldn't take her horrified eyes off of.

Jason was going to propose to Nischal. Or had he done that already? Rhona would have to go to Nischal and deliver the news. Tell Xi-Wang too. Nischal already hated her, but would Xi-Wang ever forgive her?

That cat beside her was still talking, but Acubens didn't hear him.

"What? Ah, yeah. I g- I guess so."

But the words were weak and without conviction. Absently, Acubens reached out a hand for purchase on... something...

[Cheomseongdae]

Cheomseongdae found herself hurtling through the air, and not in the way she had been mere moments ago, from the bottle she had grabbed. It was somewhat disappointing to find herself losing her ability to fly so quickly... But beyond that, it was bloody terrifying to find herself falling... Sure, she had been testing her fear of heights, but this went beyond merely testing. She flailed, and screamed, in total and complete fear.

Her flailing hand, however, found itself grabbing one of the Origami charms and much to her surprise, she was suddenly riding a huge Origami crane. It was a beautiful deep blue, with pale pink and white flower patterns, and she stared at the paper under her feet. It was rather more then a little insane to find herself riding a paper bird, at such a great distance above the ground. She had to battle the urge to be sick over the edge of her bird, or to have a complete screaming meltdown. She clung to herself for a long moment, as she began to figure out how to ride on the crane, and she tried to calm herself as well.

She also searched for Arthur, and when she found him, she called out "Are you safe? Are you ok?" He would find her voice terrified, and clearly trying to keep herself from utterly melting down.

Once she was finally convinced she had the control she needed, and that it would not fall out from under her, the chained woman, whom she did not know, appeared and started talking. Her lips curved into a frown as she heard the instructions... This sure sounded a lot like a game from a certain set of books that Cheom, in her civilian life, adored quite a bit. She considered... and then began to fly, hunting for the shining bit of gold. "Arthur, I'm going to go left, do you want to go right?" She called out to her friend.

Something gleamed, catching her eyes, and she aimed her crane straight towards it, grabbing it out of the air.

It was not the Golden flying object she sought. Much to her surprise, it was a solid piece of cloud. Solid cloud, now that was a bizarre concept. She heard the referee announce she had gained five points, which was at least a more pleasant outcome then she expected, and she began to hunt for Arthur again, wondering what he had found.
