That definitely wasn't the fun strategy that Anser wanted to hear, and Anser pouted a bit at that, but perhaps there really was no good way to deal with a sword. Well, she could be fast, right? Maybe she would just learn how to be faster than anyone with a sword. And then she could disarm them. Perfection! At the comment about bows, Anser giggled. "Yeah! Can't break a magic bow!" At that, she placed her hands on her hips and pointed her nose to the sky as a show of heroic confidence. "That's why magic is better! And that's why superheroes are better, too. We got more magic users than them." But they did have magic users, like that villain with the dreads, and that ballerina supervillain. Were they former superheroes, or were they always just supervillains? Anser had to wonder, really... "I wish they didn't have any magic users at all." At this, she sighed. Cybele's asteroid actually sounded really cool, and her eyes widened in amazement when purple skies and silver forests were mentioned. "Oh, it's probably really pretty though! It sounds pretty at least. My planet's just like, red and brown." Anser scrunched her nose at that. "Like red skies from the red sun. Or, er," she blinked, "I guess not sun..." "But yeah, I think it works well for him! But the war is here, I agree. We gotta protect this planet, right? It's where we all live." She grinned. She had to save the others. She had to.

She let herself grin with Anser's show of confidence in magic, her own magic bow in particular. There were times when she thought it would have been better to have a solid weapon, but she didn't think that she would have given up her magic for it. The clarity and speed was something she found herself craving sometimes, and it was certainly something that had gotten her out of plenty of rough situations. She nodded. Magic was strong, in general. Some of her worst fights had been with corrupt senshi. She wasn't sure that she would completely discredit swords, but it wasn't something she was about to push the issue on. She leaned back, stretching her back and enjoying a bit more room as she took another look around the area, both visually and with her aura sense. It was empty. Her grin spread. She could show off a little. "Want to see my new magic?" she asked, tilting her head and fairly sure she knew the answer. "Oh, and yours is stronger too, now, isn't it?" She wasn't really the one to be reassuring about space, but she still nodded a little at Anser's description. "And I'm sure your planet is lovely, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. You don't have to love it to be a good senshi."

"Yeah, that's true..." murmured Anser, thoughtfully. She didn't have to love the planet Anser to be the senshi of the planet Anser, right? After all, it wasn't like she stopped getting powers once the planet had ... made her uneasy, and it wasn't like she had to see the planet in the first place to get her powers. Still, though, perhaps she should make an effort towards it. Anser decided to ignore that prospect, for now, deciding that she was far more interested in the prospects of finding out about what Cybele could do now. Eagerly, Anser leaned forward once more, bouncing a bit in her seat. What could Cybele's magic do now? Did she get an even more badass bow? Would it make Anser even faster? Would it combine with her magic to make her the fastest person to ever live? Could she truly become The Flash? Okay, so probably not The Flash... Though he was a really cool superhero. Cybele was her own, cooler, real-life superhero. "Yeah, mine's stronger too, but I wanna see your magic." Clapping at the idea of this, Anser swung around in her seat, facing a small opening where she assumed Cybele could stand to show off. "Should I get up? Is it a speed-making magic again? And then I can show you mine too! It's basically just a fancier version of my first magic I think but," Anser scrunched her nose, "I think you'll like it!"

It was nice to see that Anser was just as excited about the magic upgrades as she was about everything else. It had always been one of Cybele’s favorite thigs about being a senshi, and with her upgrade and the new magic that it had brought, Cybele felt more fully realized as a proper huntress. With that, she grinned, even as she shook her head. “We can try my old magic out with your upgrade, too, if you’d like,” she said, staying cool as if there was a chance her young friend didn’t want to try to break the sound barrier. Their stacked magics might help with that, but hunting at its core was not just about being fast. “But this one is for the bad guys.” She pulled herself out from the picnic table with only a little awkwardness. She stood with a smirk and one raised eyebrow. A second passed and then another for full dramatic effect. “Cybele Hunter’s Strike!” She let her voice ring out. They were in the theater district, after all. The bow that formed in her hands did not disappoint in the flashiness department, either. It was a full longbow almost as tall as Cybele herself, made of pale green light with five arrows notched on the ethereal string. It took energy, so she hadn’t played around with it too much. Now she actually giggled for a second as she fired at a nearby building and watched as the bricks chipped.

Anser totally wanted to break the sound barrier. Should she hit escape velocity?! Wait, then she'd be in space, and she was pretty sure actual space wasn't as friendly as their magical planets seemed to be-- "For the bad guys?" asked Anser, excitedly, now fully on the edge of her seat. She didn't stand up, because there didn't seem to be a point to it; if this was for the bad guys, she should probably stay out of the way. When Cybele stood up with a smirk, she leaned in even closer, if that was possible without her falling off the picnic bench in the first place. She was practically folded over in all of her excitement. The bow definitely did not disappoint, nor did the display, and Anser was cheering just from that alone. It was huge! When Cybele pulled back the arrows and flung them at a building, Anser finally jumped up to watch... And she applauded when the bricks reacted. "That's so cool!!" exclaimed Anser, jumping up and down. "Oh man, I bet that can do some real damage to those bad guys! Generals ain't got nothing on Cybele's green magic arrows! Arrows gonna snipe you!" She grinned. "Oh, you could launch those so fast with my magic!"

Cybele grinned right back at Anser, and then did a little bow, because yes, she was very aware that she was putting on a show. "I'm excited," she said, coming back over to put a hand on the table, although she wasn't quite feeling like settling back down. "There's been something in the back of my mind all these years annoyed with having the huntress title but only my fists to back it up." On a more practical note, while she did love her magic, there was something to be said about the senshi who had range. Now it would be easier to deal with enemies who, for example, liked to cloak themselves in smoke. Enemies who ran were probably more what it was meant for, but it didn't sound quite right when she thought about it like that. Did she want to be a sniper? Anser's enthusiasm didn't leave much room for doubts. Cybele tilted her head at her claim. "You think you'd be able to make my magic faster? All right." She nodded slowly, letting the smile drop for a second. "Ladies and gentlemen, heroes and villains of Destiny City," she said to the empty air, taking a few steps back and opening her arms in a wide, sweeping gesture, "I present Super Anser!" She nodded at her friend with a smaller grin. "Your turn."

Cybele was putting on a show, and Anser was eating it up. It helped that Cybele legitimately seemed excited, and Anser placed her hands near Cybele's with an equal amount of excitement when Cybele put her hands down. "Yeah! I always thought it was interesting that your sphere was The Hunt but," she scrunched her nose, "making yourself faster and better at hunting is also part of The Hunt so it makes sense right?" At least, it made sense to her. Plus, it combined really well with her attack, so-- "You bet!" Anser jumped to her feet, getting ready for Cybele to watch her magic. It got even better when Cybele spread her arms out and formally announced her, and Anser practically shouted in her excitement. She was definitely bouncing on the tips of her toes at least, as hard as that was to do considering she was in heels-- The moment Cybele said, 'Your turn,' Anser shouted, "Mothers Geese!" and she was off. Anser hoped that Cybele, with her proximity, would notice the difference. stari_maga Super Sailor Scout Attack: "Mothers Geese!"Geese are known for being great guards. Anser says her attack name and a couple ethereal goslings appear in front of her, honking. After the gosling honks out its warning, Anser and other allies within a five-foot radius find that their reflexes are enhanced, allowing them to either better fight back physically or put some distance between themselves and whatever danger there may be. ( Usage: Twice per battle Duration: 20 seconds Range: 5ft)

Cybele nodded seriously, letting the over-dramatic flair go for a moment. "It's good for tracking in theory," she said, but that was theory. In reality, tracing the steps of an animal through the woods for hours didn't really translate well to chasing someone through an alleyway, especially when that someone could teleport. Then, that wasn't a problem that only applied to her. Geese didn't make much sense in this sort of war, either, and neither did Eggs, or Gardens, or any of the strange little "weapons" the Negaverse lieutenants tended to have, but everyone managed to use what they were given with surprisingly fatal results. She was still glad her new attack had a bit more bite to it. She presented Anser, and heard her call her magic, and thought she felt something different. Not to be left in the dust, she sprinted after her, grinning wide, and found that she was faster. Very fast, in fact. This magic didn't have a focus boost the way that hers did, but in exchange she was almost certain that this was the fastest she'd ran in her entire life. It also felt lighter, somehow. More free. With her Eternal speed on top of it, she felt her clothes sticking to her and her pigtails flying straight out behind her. She laughed. Anser was still ahead of her somehow, which was fine, although she had to yell to make sure her voice carried. "Oh, this is amazing!" She paused to feel the wind in her face for another moment, then added, "Want to see if we can find some monsters before we use up all our magic?"

Hearing Cybele follow after her made Anser grin, but hearing Cybele laugh made a laugh bubble to Anser's lips as well. This was fun. She liked this! "Isn't it!?" shouted Anser, behind her, though she was fairly sure that most of her words were just getting lost to the wind. By the time she felt her speed slow down, she was glancing back at some parts of the theatre district, and more giggles escaped from her lips. Ooh, find some monsters? As much fun as she was having just running, and seeing what Cybele could do with her magic too, the thought of actually using this magic on some of the evil that wandered through the city was even more appealing to her. Anser was bouncing on her toes again, nodding eagerly. "Yeah! Let's kick some a**! And we could do it quickly! I got at least another use of that magic up my sleeve I'm pretty sure." Jokingly, she mimed rolling up her sleeves, even though she didn't really have any.

They'd covered quite a bit of distance before the magic faded, but afterwards, Cybele let herself slow to a walk. A lot of the point of having a friend along was so that they could talk, and it was important to know what they were doing and where they were heading. Luckily, Anser, as always seemed to be on board with Cybele's usual plan, which was to look around until she found something to hunt and then to slam it with her fists. "All right," she said, still grinning but coming out of performance mode into something a bit more functional. Although, she wasn't too deathly serious, either. She gave another bit of a laugh when Anser pointed out that they could do it quickly. A giggle, really. She was edging towards getting giggly, and she didn't even seem to mind. "The monsters won't know what hit them," she said. Then, they headed out of the theater district and towards the rest of town.
