Theme: Trying too hard, Destiny
What leads one man may not lead another
For too much differs from worlds far apart
We try too hard to fit where we are told
When all along our differences are art
Time passes on, we laugh, we cry, we live
As days go by we quest for more than this
Humanity is dulled to a quiet husk
And yet the ever hunger for more persists
Is it destiny we crave something else?
Or just a longing to be our true self?
Comment: pressed for time this morning and lowkey having an artist block. Opted to do a sonnet today. I can't remember the last time I wrote in iambic pentameter. :/

Day: 19 Theme: hair  Comment: anxiety free fall from lack of finances, s**t job, and lack of time. Everyday the thought of quitting this hits me. If I miss a day assume I gave up. It's not like I am actually connecting to any. So here is 20 agonizing shitty hair styles I forced myself to do.

Theme: monster parade
The howling moors do have a day
When goblin and ghoul come out to play.
With the full moon high the bells do roll
All join in for the midnight stroll
The parade of shrieks and screams
Echo from each home and stream
As more join in the chaotic fray
Soon the street is dark and gray
A mass of limbs and hair and bone
Shambles, slither, wiggle, groan
Around the town hall and down the lane
The chorus of cries never wanes
"Another year!" One does profess
"The time is ours! Let's do our best!"
The change was here and all could tell
This Halloween would be the best in Hell.
Comment: wanted to art but didn't have the energy. Spent awhile trying to think of a premise for a poem and ended up doing a dynamic short burst poem psuedo Nightmare before Christmas. It may be lacking in length but the imagery and sound seems evident that the tale comes across. Tomorrow will have art.

Wandering idly along the shoreline
A flurry of thought clouded my mind
What could tomorrow bring?
The needed change or the same ole thing?
Do I stay in place or do I go?
I'm so alone there is no home
Salty air distracts the nightmares
While the gentle tide takes all care
Until all that remains there
Is a haunted girl with Auburn hair
Swaying like the rolling waves
Stumbling to find an end to these dark days
