Eve looked at the red haired twin and smiled, not startled by the baby talking. She'd often thought perhaps the babies might like she was as a child. She glanced at the blonde infant, who seemed to be quiet at the moment. "Not all babies talk at birth. Though I taste a magic in you both that I haven't felt in years." Not since her teacher died along with his firedemon.

"All right, we ought to name you two. The red haired twin will be named after my teacher's firedemon with our last name. Not sure about the middle name. I was thinking about maybe your father's name for that. As for the blonde, Howell Pendragon with our last name, Howl and Cal for short." Eve cuddled Howl and reached for Cal, wanting to hold both of her boys.

As an artist, Eve had kept her last name when it came to her artwork. Otherwise, she went by her married name and the one she shared with Demy. The boys were his too, so it was right to give their last name. "I'm sure he wouldn't mind." Part of her was wondering what her uncles and father was up to. Since neither Vate nor Faust was fussing over her or the babies, it made her wonder how planning the shower was going. She hoped Mauve remembered the theme for the boys.

"Especially Howl. There's only been one man with that name and he had got the reputation." She held Cal in one arm and Howl in the other, cuddling her babies close. She mused over Cal's words, "Very true. I remember him to be very prone to dramatics. I think I'll savor the lack of slime at the moment." She loved that one of her boys was like her, but she intended to homeschool the boys till they were old enough to go to the Lynwood schools. Human schools held bad memories for her and she would rather her boys be happy instead of teased and bullied.

Eve did not even bat an eye at Howl's words. Though she was wondering why he had been trying to act normal. Her teacher had been prone to theatrics, but it did scare her as a child when he became depressed. Howl's range of emotions could be quite extreme. She'd never seen him mad, but depressed was enough for her to know it was best for Howl to learn restraint.

"Did you wish to be normal, Howl?" She asked plainly though she still adored the boys. While she held her boys, Damin was greeting Mauve and seeing how planning the shower was going. "Faust, you are a grandfather and your brothers are uncles." Damin hoped that the babys' room was big enough for the toys. He had also taken a picture of the twins to show them.

Eve did not look up when she sensed Vate. She knew her uncle would want to see at least the blonde twin due to Howl having been his son long ago. She smiled gently at him, "Of course, make sure he can see me though. He seems to get fussy when he's away from me." Balancing Cal with her other arm, she let Vate hold Howl. Part of her glad that she had already warded the room to keep her sons from leaving the room by means of magic. She did not know how much magic the boys could control being just hours old.

She then fed Cal the natural way, wanting the boys to have the best, using a blanket to keep him warm and maintain a little at least of her modesty. Damin helped put up streamers for the party, "I see you remember the theme for the babies." Some of the decorations were stars and moons. Full moons to be exact.
There was already a mountain of gifts and he hadn't even seen what Demy's father had gotten for the twins.

Kalia was helping Niko with finishing his gift. "I hope the boys like the toys you got them. Damin sent me a picture of your grandsons." She showed him the picture of the two infant boys.

Kalia smiled, "If Calcifer is anything like Eve was, he'll still love mystery books. I'm sure Howl will love them. Though where is the baby clothing you picked out when we went shopping?" She hadn't seen it when she was putting some of the toys into one of the colorful boxes. Her own gift of cloth diapers were already wrapped with white and blue ribbons. Cloth diapers could be washed and used again, saving them some money on diapers.

She leaned back, taking care of one son and watching the other. It seemed to ease something in Vate's magic when he held Howl, at least to her eyes. "You know we might need a baby sitter sometimes. You're really good with him." Eve knew Howl's death had hurt Vate as much as it hurt her. "Do we need a bigger nursery from all the stuff you guys got my boys?" She smiled faintly, wondering if they need to take out another wall to make a bigger room.

Damin finished with the streamers and kissed his wife with a gentle smile. Part of him looked forward to having a bundle of joy to raise with Mauve. Not that Eve's babies were adorable, but the old vampire wanted a family with his love too.

Kalia hummed, "I think Eve and Demy may need to expand the nursery due to all the toys. Its not only faust that will be giving them toys after all. I hope she put in a few bookshelves for Calcifer's book. We're almost done with getting the gifts, why not go see Evey and the babies? Get some cuddles before the others occupy the infants' attention." The food she was making for the party was already in the oven and would take a half hour to finish.

Eve sighed at her father, "Hi, daddy. Course he looks like his dad. They are demy's babies as much as they are mine. Make sure Howl can see me though. He tends to get fussy when he doesn't." She knew what her son looked like and Howl looked only a little like her. He took mostly after Demy. "His twin looks like more like me, but he's sleeping, so please let him rest." One cranky baby she could handle, two not quite.

Kalia smiled kindly, "Okay. I"m going to check on my side dish for the party. And in any father's mind, any boy has to have serious nerve to ask their daughter out. My own father is annoyed at Tavi."

Eve reached for Howl, soothing her baby boy. "I'm here, sweetie. let's let your brother sleep, okay? I hope we're good parents like you and mom was." Rocking Howl in her arms, "You hungry or just want mommy?" She cooed at her son and leaned back against the pillows. "What's the doctors saying about my health?" The nurse that had helped deliver the twins carried a tray of tea and smiled, "Damin patched you up well and the doctors just want to get the twins and you ready to go home. Hello, gentlemen, would you like some tea?"

If there was anything fathers hated, it was boys, who wanted to date their precious angels. Kalia could handle herself with her love life and her choice had been Tavi from the days of their childhood. "I certainly hope he'll still date me even with my father mad. He's always be so sweet."

Eve kept Howl close, so happy to see her boys born healthy and alive. She'd been so afraid of losing the babies again, especially with the nursery ready. The last few times had nearly killed her, but all that pain was worth the two beautiful baby boys she had in her arms and near her in his baby crib. Eve chuckled at her father and uncle, "I would not mind it. Just don't wake Calcifer. He needs his rest with his brother having a set of lungs on him. I'll keep Howl calm."

She cooed at Howl, "You're going to love your nursery. Mommy and Daddy made it so cute with stars and moons. Just for you two. And you'll get plenty of toys and clothing that we may need to expand your nursery to fit every thing."
