Look at all these lovely suitors. Even her bashful brother seemed fine enough in the light (or lack of light) they soared in. But Thanoth was still young, and new to the ways of flights—she sped forth without a word, whipping through sharp curves and ducking past ledges that she'd cleverly memorized, before arcing up up UP, until her strong (but tattered) wings began to strain.

Come catch me then, or let me crash into the sand if you'd rather not...!

Oh—Oh dear. He had to reign in what little speed he had gathered to navigate the ledges Thanoth pulled them towards, and by the time he was through, he was still quite behind. And his sister, naturally, was going all out. And, uh, surely one of these more clever and prepared suitors would catch her, yes? Soph hadn’t ever heard of a dragon not being caught in a flight.

It wouldn’t be too far from the green’s nature to try and be the first, though. What a joke that’d be.

He refrained from worrying aloud and glided somewhere behind Neiveth, almost like it was wing drills, though his eyes were only on Thanoth. If he sensed any of her previous nerves, they seemed gone now in this final burst of speed. Still, he sent a caring, wordless thought from behind the small pack.

So what a mess, right? For the sake of just wrapping this up, I'm gonna just roll between all the competitors and see what we get.



No one matched perfectly (Thanoth totaled 45), and honestly this is so old that at this point I'm just ready to get it locked up. Let's see where things fall!



A proper chaser or not, it didn't really matter to Thanoth. She wasn't a proper flier, after all—and she knew what she wanted. Perhaps it was a bit of a mean trick to lure them all up just for her... but she really couldn't help but be amused by how hard they'd all tried, even when they'd stood no chance, the silly things. She spared a croon for her assorted suitors, green and blue alike, and ducked closer to her brother to give him a nudge of reassurance. He'd done just fine, if you asked her, and one day he'd make some other dragon very happy, she was sure. But not her, not quite in that way.

No, for her there was only Neiveth. Her darling dear, a princess among greens—she'd do just fine for the first time. There would be many more, she was sure, to try out any other pretty ladies that flew her way... but for now, there was only Neiveth.
