Dea could see a look in his eyes and she placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. She knew he was still trying to put the pieces back together, thanks to Team Rocket. It still angered her how much trouble that organization had caused her family. However, at her husband's words, she sighed softly and nodded her head.
"Yes, that is what is important during the holidays,"she spoke.

Noah gave her a smile, and moved to kiss her cheek. “We’re together,” he said, “for this Christmas and every Christmas after.” And every other holiday as well. He couldn’t wait to celebrate with her.
“Do you think the kids I don’t know would be willing to play board games with me? We could make popcorn garlands...”

"You are all getting used to one another, but I think they would, with the proper nudging. They are good Poke kids with hearts of gold, so I think they can be convinced. Just remember do the same, okay?"she suggested, reaching over to kiss his cheek.

“Do you think they’ll want to play board games with me?” He asked, hopefully. He’d certainly play, if they asked him! He wanted to get to know them better. “And the twins...do you think they like me?” He asked. He wasn’t their biological father, but he’d come to love them as his own. He’d always wanted children.
It was coming into a household with pregrown that was difficult.

"I think if Eli, Paian, or I were there to help it along..I don't see why not. I think this is just a lot of change for everyone, so it will take time for you all to be comfortable with one another. As for the twins, I think they are young enough to give you a chance. Plus, you knew their father,"she replied.

Noah nodded. It was a big change. He’d left his family for what had been meant to be a week, but it had ended up being years. He wanted to reconnect, but he was struggling with the new faces. “I’ll keep trying.” He kissed her cheek.
“One day they’ll know how heroic he was.”

Noah didn’t think Kidd was alright, wherever he was, but then, he himself had been considered dead for turns. He’d been found and surprised everyone. “You don’t have to thank me, darling. I did what I did because I love you.” Oh no. She was crying.
Noah wrapped his arms around Dea and held her, rocking her slightly. “I’m so glad you’re gifted,” he muttered. “It’s msde everyone’s lives better.”

"I know you did, but you could have been killed because of it. And what has my gifts done to make things better, hmmm? You were held captive for several years while they tried to get to me. And Kidd was sent away, I just feel like a jinx,"she whispered, burying herself into his arms.

“You’re not a jinx,” Noah said, stroking the back of her hair. Meeting Dea had been the best thing to ever happen to him. How could she think that? “I know it’s easy to blame yourself. I blame myself for the three years I was gone. All that time, you were alone.” He held her tightly. “The only one at fault for all this is Team Rocket,” he said.

"I just know they go after you because of what I can do. I know Dad would say I should never be ashamed of who I am though. And you can't blame yourself, Noah, you shouldn't be expected to have just broken free. I will agree, Team Rocket has really made a mess in this family,"she sighed softly.

"They went after me because they're horrible people who like to ruin other people's lives," Noah said. He frowned, and moved to stroke her cheek. "Never blame yourself for the awfulness of others."
He hesitated and then added, "They came after me because they thought I was weak. They wanted your location, but the more I fought, the more they realized I had the same ability. Mine wasn't nearly as strong as yours. I hadn't developed it. They tried to force it." He looked to her. "I did my best to protect you."

"I will try not to, dear, I just hate what they did to you. If..if Kimi hadn't gotten word of that base, I don't want to think of what would have happened. You did a wonderful job protecting me, you made sure that I was not bothered. I just wish they hadn't tried to pull your ability out of you,"she replied, hugging him tightly.

If Kimi hadn’t found him, he would have died. He knew that. He’d been in bad shape when they’d rescued him, enough that he’d tried to attack Paian in self defense. He hadn’t recognized either of them. He swallowed and looked away.
“Let’s talk about happier things,” he said. “I got us a cabin for Christmas! It’ll be our best Christmas ever. Please don’t think about what they did, love. I’m alright. See?” He gestures to himself. “Good as new.”

"Yes, the pictures of that cabin look amazing, I look forward to seeing it in person. And I am glad you are home safely, I don't want to ever loose you again. So you better stay fine, do you hear me, Noah?"she said firmly. Team Rocket would be sorry if they went after her family again.
