[ Taiki Matsumaya ]

Adventurer l Bukijutsu l Explorer l D - Rank

I arrived at the academy to do some light training before the mission. I was here to relearn old techniques that had been of my creation, but I saw as I skimmed the contents yesterday before my training. I remembered them well enough to only need to reskim the first one my memory kicked back in and it was almost like a flash of memory. I made the necessary seals and breathed in deep, mixing the air in my muscles with my chakra, and then breathed out. The air that came out of my mouth was not clear, but instead grey with speckles of red and orange scattered all around. It was smoke. Hot, thick and dark smoke. After a second or two of blowing, it was all out, and there was a screen of smoke covering roughly a five foot radius in front of me.

From there, I took a short leap back, and shifted my hand signs. The next technique was more complicated, but also more versatile. I held the sign for a second, letting the chakra gather around my body, and then quickly expelling it toward the smoke. From the top of the smoke, a single copy of myself erupted utilizing the secret power of the light smoke cover: it allowed me to channel other smoke techniques from it. Very useful for getting some surprise cheap shots at the enemy. With these two techniques under my belt, the incoming fight would result in being a cake walk… Hopefully.

With that taken care of, I moved toward the gates to wait for the second member of this mission.

A frail seeming girl began steering behind the dojo, hidden from sight from the world thanks to a luck overhang from the roof and a relatively long distance from the nearest guard post. Despite the aggressively cold temperate she seemed to suffer no ill side effects to being outside all night. In fact the steaming breath escaping from her bare mouth proved she had enough warmth in her sickly pale skin that the temperature had no chance to get one over on her. If not for her outfit and speckling splotches of red such alabaster flesh might have blended in perfectly to the snow she had been lain out in. A quiet groan escaped from the girls lips as she rolled over to avoid a stray ray of sunlight attempting to sunburn a singular spot on her eyelid. One might stop and wonder just what was a seemingly abnormally average girl doing in the middle of a snowbank in such a strategically hidden nook... and why was there dry blood coating her lips? A finger scratched away at a bit of the blood as she continued to yawn. Her beast like teeth were plain to see as-well-as the metal fragments melded into them. This odd peace was nearing its end however as a straw bird landed itself on the buildings roof. The creaking of wood had finally given the girl the final push she need to wake up. It was like night and day the moment she decided to be awake. Lilac eyes shot open as her body forcibly pressed itself against the building's wall, chest heaving as gloved fingers quickly covered her face with a curiously studded face mask. Strained pupils darted around her surroundings assessing anything and everything to an over critical level. 'HOW? Ah! That issue I had to... take care of. Such vagrant cheating couldn't possibly be allowed to continue. No. Is that blood on my tongue? When? Of course of course. It was only fitting I take what was owed to me.' Her thoughts were scrambled, but such was not unusual for her.

It had been some time since her encounter with the paranormal inside that forgotten clock shop. The entire time the ghostly marching shook the barely starting wooden shack she had held fast in her charade as a senile clock worker. Nothing, however, ever came of this experience besides showing to the woman just how different the world had become. Since that distant memory she had wandered the harsh landscape of Iron seeking a place where she might return to some sort of normalcy whatever that really meant to one so mentally fractured. As it happened she had been 'saved' by a passerby while attempting to wrestle her latest source of essence to the ground. A kindly man who had just happened to be trusting to a fault. The sight of a girl covered in blood raised no flags besides the defense flag. Thanks to this act of altruism she had gained easy access to the fledgling city. The man however had long since gone missing and not many people even bothered with the search attempt. A man too altruistic for his own good... whoring himself out saving all those people, he should have only held eyes on her. Shame. It wasn't hard for her to go under the radar as she stalked person after person, forcing their 'love' into herself. Some people woke up the next day, some were found drained, some were just never found. The latest man was someone who had bought her a drink, a woodworker if she recalled correctly.

The ragged breathing began to slow as her memories trickled in. 'Shame. He had such potential.' A tsk escaped her lips as she closed that chapter in her love life. It would be pointless fawning over such a man anymore, what with his sudden bout with having no blood in his veins. All this time spent in this village of bloodbags and not even an inch closer to buying that building she had her eye on. Such was the problem with being a ghost, no one will hire you for anything if they don't know you exist. "Frustrating. My fingers ache to create my medicines..." She hissed as she rounded the dojo's corner. Keeping her head low she stepped onto one of the area's paths, towards the center of the area. She dusted herself free of snow as she walked, avoiding the looks of passerby's. Her eyes were more busy looking ahead a couple moves, she need to figure out what she was going to do with her day. She could keep earning scrap Ryo, she could find a new 'benefactor', or she could shake away some of the rust she had been earning sitting in one place for so long. If the aching pain she had from her rib cage was anything to go off of. Her disciplining had gotten sloppy last night, he had gotten a few clean hits on her. "Rust it is. Yesss. Rust away on a cloudy day~" She mumbled to herself while she scratched away at her neck, picking at what felt like a scabbed over cut. She stopped in place to look around. It was only then she realized she had never been to the training ground besides cutting through it. "Which?" Another long yawn escaped from behind her face mask as her tired eyes darted between the two buildings. 'Does it even matter?'

Nina Hojo ll Scholar ll Suiton :: Raiton ll Serial Killer Pharmacist :: D-Rank ll True Ancestor :: Hojo Hybrid

Nina stood around awkwardly in the way of people walking the path for more than a couple of minutes. Her oddly tentacle like hair would start whipping to and fro much like one would pace when full of uncertainty. This motion filled motionlessness would come to an abrupt halt
thanks to getting slammed by a passing character carrying a figurative mountain of books. A student coming back to return a large pile of rented scrolls, unable to see past the thick parchment plowed the stationary woman down. They didn't even stop to see who they had run over or if they were even fine, nothing was spoken about the incident beyond a simple "Need to hurry or I'll get slammed with late fees!" Spoken from the boys mouth before he vanished into one of the doorways. The girl took the chance to watch the bulldozer himself if only to gather information of which she sorely lacked. It wasn't hare to deduce that the building he went into was the one she sought. If the scrolls and books were returned there it would only make sense you could in turn check them out from the location. If the village followed any modicum of common sense that was. Nodding to herself she only just realized she was now on the ground again. Never having bothered to catch herself due to interest in the situation. "Hello ground. Long time no see. yes yes. Must be going. Rust away away with rust~" She said cheerfully, as she unnaturally lifted her body back into a standing position. Dusting off her jacket she began to follow the path left for her by her assailant.

By the time she had entered the building said boy was getting quiet the earful while the person doing said earful waved about an empty money pouch. Perhaps not even such a stampede was enough. Predatorial eyes locked onto his frame for a few moments before softening. He lacked love, thus he was no real use to her. Only aimless duty coursed through his veins. The sudden intensity was not lost on the boy, who noticing the flicker of presence looked at her before his scolding got worse. Nina began licking away at the dried blood on her lips before walking up to the desk in the center of the room. "One moment." Echoed from a door labeled 'Library.' The faux squid's gaze remained vigilant as it took in all sorts of new information. This had been her first time inside one of the buildings and from the layout it would appear this was the building of learning rather than training. She could spot numerous children nose deep in ragged books and torn scrolls. Despite how much knowledge was contained in the building none of it was safe from the effects of time. It must have taken many of man hours just to gather what was here, perhaps even more spent on drawing knowledge from those who had been displaced in time. No doubt shoddy new outweighed the rigorous old. It would likely mean anything high level was under much stricter watch. 'Tsk tsk. There goes that plan. If only my memories weren't so hazy. Wasteful WASTEFUL stupid little Nina.' She mentally berated herself, of course this was how it would be. This wasn't the days of old where she could just walk into a building a leave with what she wanted. More than ever she was a nothing existence.

"My apologies miss, how can I be of service?" Came a soft voice snapping the masked girl out of her idle devouring of information. Like a switch had been flipped once she was put under someones attentive gaze the girl gave the attendant a warm smile that showed more on her eyes since well... her face was covered. Pulling her mask down she had settled on a dominate fragment of mind to take control over herself. Not a bit of blood remained on her face the only evidence that may remain was the fading scent of iron on her breath. "Ah yes. Its no trouble at all I was enjoying the little sight over there," She said gesturing to the man still getting verbally reamed, "I am here to inquire about some ... ah, lets say less functional texts." She stepped closer to the desk. Raising a hand next to her mouth she leaned in and in all seriousness asked: "Do you happen to have any books about vampires?" Perhaps it was the mythical creature mentioned or the fact that her hushed actions did not deliver an equally important request but the attended's stoic smile cracked into a fit of laughter. Scratching her exposed cheek her body radiated a sense of embarrassment as the attendant laughed. Her lilac eyes found their way to the ground as the laughter died down and the attendant began to re-gather themselves.

"Heh... Yes we have a couple books on the subject in out fiction section, might I suggest Tw-" The attendant began before a hand shot up to halt her in her place. "Do you have it in a bestiary sort? Other such figments of the imagination? Or a book dissecting folk lore and the truths behind them?" Nina asked quietly, her mirthful eyes giving nothing away as the attendant listened, "I need something to read between practicing with my knives... Ah! Speaking of knives might you have some writings on the basics of what was it... Sobagai? or by chance Bai-... Baiken no Kusari? Ah while I'm at it! That fancy kicky flippy style Jiyugata Senpu?" Her word dump was did not fall on deaf ears as the attendant was taking very professional notes outside of the one underlined 'Monsters?' "One moment ma'am, while you wait please fill out this forum. Signing says you agree to the terms of checking out literature from the building and promise to return it within the week." The attendant explained like a robot before vanishing back into the room labeled library. Nina need only take one look at the defeated man sitting across the room to know they took this seriously. Carefully reading through the contract she found no fault with the reasoning and consequences and signed her name on the dotted line. The ink gave off a faint glow letting her be aware this contained a bit of that ninja magic. 'Ominous.' She thought idly before the sound of hefty papers hitting the desk drew her back. "One copy of Fact or Fiction: Beasts of the Night, one copy of Jiyugata Senpu: Basics and Fundamentals, and one copy of Baiken no Kusari: How Not to Strangle Yourself. Unfortunately we have yet to secure any solid details on this 'Sobagai' you spoke of. Return these tomes within the week as listed in the contract or well... you read the terms." The attendant said softly with silver lining of ill intent.

Nodding obediently she grabbed the three books and exited the building, letting a sigh of relief escape her lips. She raised her mask to cover her mouth once again as her eyes emptied of the jubilance she was portraying. Starry eye school girl wasn't a persona she relied on often and was rather difficult to retain. Perhaps she needed to practice it some more, maybe her next lover will be into such things. She began walking with books in hand towards the other building. Simple thinking would lead to the second building being the dojo after all there wasn't another choice. She remained vigilant this time, avoiding the passing people rather than becoming a stationary rock among the passing waves. The murderous squid had a plan for once. Something to focus all the fragments of her mind on. Solitary goals was all that helped her jumbled thinking. It was why she could so easily fall into a persona when interacting with a person but remained a jumbled mess being around a group. A predator has sights only for its prey after all. She made her way to the clearing around the dojo's side. The outdoors training ground people were making plenty of use out of. Plenty of sweaty something or others swinging around their weapon of choice. She picked a relative empty portion towards the front half of the shoveled clean of snow and instead had glass like grass sticking out of the stiff soil. "Ah.. I miss normal plant life and the likes. Yes yes. Miss it we do." She mumbled, plopping down onto the ground without a care, laying the three books out in front of her to finally inspect them. They were clearly copies, as one would have expected. The covers were worn but not from time. Some more than others however as her book on monsters had nearly no wear and tear to speak of. Bringing her knees up to her chest she picked up the book on monsters and opened it to the index. 'I wonder what they say of my kind in this land of endless snow. Was there sightings or was it just the... Lessers? Those FILTH. yes filth filthy FILTHY peons. Undeserving of love we give them.' She thought bitterly, memories of her Lessers were far from pleasant. She had put them all down after they turned on her. 'Page 120 is where Vampires starts. Tsk. Unpleasant name.' She flicked the crisp pages until she reached her goal and began diving into the mostly fictitious tales in the book.

Brave to assume, given that the milky white skin brushed with freckles would belong to no one she'd ever met before. Stepping around in front of the girl was another woman with scarlet hair and crimson eyes, her expression wolfish in the mischievous way of one used to do things her way, others be damned. "Aye there," she began, the little she spoke already giving ample evidence of the thick accent she bore. "Ah've been lookin' fer tha dar ter this place. From the relaxed air she put off and the way her smile reached her eyes it was obvious the girl was speaking straightforwardly in the only manner she could.

Yet the girl wore little more than a leather outfit that left some parts of her anatomy open to world. From purposefully shaped holes in her breeches and the straps that made up the majority of her top it was clear either she wore rags and didn't care or had learned some method of avoiding the cold whilst requesting the least appropriate clothing anyone could.

Given she didn't reek of corruption that left "dead" out as an option, but hey, her sniffer'd been wrong before. Still she waited for an answer, hoping that by conversing with the girl she could determine if the girl was indeed dead or not.

㊌ ☾ ☾ ☾ Kira Yamata ☽ ☽ ☽ ㊌

The sudden thud and [crunch, splatter?] of the ground below announced Kira's presences outside the lodge once again. Kira didn't expect himself to ind himself here so soon but better sooner than later he supposed, good time for training and if he was lucky good time to rid himself of his first bingo book target. Pushing the doors open and examining the room he soon found the redhead he was looking for. She seemed to be gripping the shoulder of a oddly haired woman with a mask, no doubt causing trouble again. This would not stand. Kira would use his Shunshin spell and appear next to her in a moments of a eye blink. Kira's hand would lightly be touch yet firmly grip the red head's and say

"Dont you think you have bothered enough people, you ranga? I thought your beef was with me not the girl"
Kira hoped that by matching her dirty slang she would get her away from others and back towards him, her original target, "Once again, You dont know WHO THE ******** I AM. This time I will show you. The time for talk is over. Die" Without much of another word Kira began his onslaught with a sudden draw of his blade Kira attempted to land his swords pommel end, where the sternum bone ends and the flesh to the organs began. He hoped this would deliver a quick blow, allowing the air from her lungs to spring out in surprise.

Nina Hojo ll Scholar ll Suiton :: Raiton ll Serial Killer Pharmacist :: D-Rank ll True Ancestor :: Hojo Hybrid

By the time Nina had been interrupted she had managed to cleave through couple a beasts in the bestiary. Iron had little on what they identified as her kind, from what she had read there was merely loose sightings of Lessers and hearsay. It was to be expected from what amounted to a book of gossip. Either there really was no presence of an Ancestor in the area or they had phenomenal control over their hunger. It wouldn't be much of a surprise if they avoided such climates. While they might not have a problem with chilling temperatures well beyond what humanity can withstand... doing so causes more attention then is ideal. Such as what was happening just now. Her body had come to a sudden halt once an unwanted grip came to the girls shoulder. She immediately halted where she was in the page, despite being half way through were creatures a pretty interesting breed. Several fractions began arguing for dominance as she stayed frozen in place. Roughly 70% of her vying emotions were delicately reaching for the knife hidden in her brassier. The other 30% was busy having flashbacks. Even her breath seemed to have unnaturally halted in her throat. Perhaps it was noticeable or perhaps it was not. Either way her unknowing assailant had replaced and instead stood in front of the faux squid. Lilac eyes climbed the towering visage as the fragments began to calm themselves. It was the lass' face that stopped Nina from causing a scene involving more than a couple of knives. Messy business that, she'd have to relocate. Oh she was speaking now.

It was lucky the girl was wearing a mask or the walking tower might have noticed her mouth going agape a couple of times as she tried to parse out exactly was just said. 'What.' Was one thought going through her head. It wasn't often she encounter someone with such a distinct accent, one unable or unwilling to tame themselves to better fit with the society they lived in. The actual minute of silence as she stared the other girl in the face was how long it took her to dissect the accent. It was also spent gathering a proper persona. Having so many vying for 'Nina' was a blessing some times. "Oh my. That is quiet the sultry- ahem I mean that is quiet the lovely accent you got there!" She started, closing the book in her hands before abruptly dropping it over the two training books she had taken out. She clasped her hands together around her raised knees, holding them as she compartmentalized the flaming tower. "This would be the training ground but that much is obvious I suppose... Hm~ That building over yonder is where you can rent out scrolls and books. If you seek training with a bit of learnin!" Her head tilted curiously to the side as if pondering a thought. It had finally registered the girl was half naked, or might as well be for being in Iron. Such might as well been obvious from the blood rushing to her exposed extremities, serving to only highlight the speckling of freckles darting the girls skin. The Ancestor's heart might as well have skipped a beat as her mind wondered how full of Life Essence the girls veins would be. A droplet of droll began forming at the corner of her mouth before she realized she was gawking unnecessarily. She was breaking character.

"Sorry, you seem like you'd be cold though missy! Such an outfit... Not that I'm one to talk! Us Hojo are an adaptive sort!" A small giggle escaped from behind her mask, "This is the Dojo section where people come to practice more physical acts." Nina's hair would begin 'giving her away' as it were the tentacle like hair curled and gripped at the air around her. That was before they all darted into more rigged shapes once the invader herself became invaded. Someone was touching her possible prey so soon after finding it. A boy it would seem had 'beef' as he put it with the redhead. Such was evident by the rather tasteless insult he had thrown at the girl. 'Thats oUR BLOOD to SPILL. No No noNO. Stoppit. Think. Hush. Hush little baby don't say a word.' Her outward apparent was one of fear at the boys sudden appearance and aggression while her inward self was attempting to get her to grab one of her knives as it was want to do. It was much easier for her more rational states to halt such actions after having filled herself with Essence just the night before. A lack of hunger kept her from the more irrational actions. "Young man?!" She said with a gasp as the petty insults quickly grew into something more. A sparkling of light signaled the sudden invasion of metal causing the Ancestor to grow increasingly agitated. From behind her mask her mouth was snarling defensively. Her predator fangs would have been plain to see without it. In a moment he had moved to assault the redhead with his weapon. A cowards attack, something she would have pulled. 'STOP taking our prEY.' Her more primal instincts had won the battle for dominant thought processing. She hastily pouched towards the two. Her fingers wove simple signs for a simple technique. She she was no where near in an optimal position for combat she had to make due. She reached for the boys ankle as chakra surged her finger tips. If she had made contact the jutsu would be cast, halting all action in the boys assault and for a moment paralyze his muscles. If she let the foot slip her grasp she would still be poised to be in the way to prevent anything drastic. "HONESTLY! Fighting in town must be that of a duel or it is just senseless muRDER." Her voice cracked its cheerful tone for a moment being replaced with a moment of malice perhaps it would be enough to draw both of the idiots attention to her instead of breaking into a brawl. While she had no justification to stop a duel between consenting children stopping an assault in broad daylight was something any reasonable person would do... wasn't it? In all honestly she had no clue. She was used to being on the other end of this tired old heroic spiel.

Quote "So you’re saying that both blasphemy and praise are forms of worship to you? You truly are the bearer of a deep and profound philosophy! A God who makes puppets of all men for sport and is just another clown himself! I see. Then his vicious ways make sense. Very well. Then we’ll have to stain the garden of God with the brilliant colors of despair and terror. We’ll have to show the director in heaven that he’s not the only one who knows what entertainment is!” :: Gilles de Rais

By his third syllable into his speech about no longer needing to speak it came to her attention just who it was, and with that would come a whole host of other emotions and concerns that blurred through her enough to let him get another handful of words into his dialogue.
tab Then she responded, cutting him off even as his hand went for his weapon and the woman who she'd been speaking with her made play.

Breathing hot and rapid raked her ears with their torturous report, and though she knew the sound was originating from her own lungs it didn't stop her from having to fight to not flinch at its harshness. Bow ready, knees bent enough to allow her freedom of movement, Zuu took aim right between the boy's eyes even as she realized he was no longer moving, his sword half-drawn from its sheathe to about the point her solar plexus would have been moments before. Despite his vow of swift death he had gone for a disabling strike, though given the rage in his locked-on gaze it was clear the boy would have finished the combo with a firm, lethal strike.

That didn't mean she didn't take the boy's words and actions any less seriously, mind, as murder was quite a serious topic. "The fook ya on aboot, ya idgit," she proclaimed in her thick brogue, her tone snark and vitriol from the bullshit of it all. "Coward be enough ter n'cite ya ter a murderous fury? Are ye tha' daft an' rabid tha' words be 'nuff ter set yer sites ter murder? What a fookin' tool ye be, nothin' closer ter a man!" Eyes traveling to the strange girl with a small smirk threatening to claws it way past her snarl, Zuu continued this time to her savior. "Tanks an all, but yeh need'na worreh! ㊌ ☾ ☾ ☾ Kira Yamata ☽ ☽ ☽ ㊌

Well... this was not going well at all, just as he was about to make impact with the girls damn stomach he was stopped by the girl he THOUGHT was being harassed. Great turn for a battle... if the sarcasm was lost on that comment, then here's a lama for the deception dramallama at any rate Kira had enough sense to look at the girl first before enacting anything. For the moment there was a moment of respite and talk, they believed that his focus would change if they simply chatted away, this of course wasn't to stand. Closing his eyes darkening the inside of the helmet and mask he wore Kira focused his chakra and through forced movement made a single hand sign with his right arm for releasing his own chakra in a burst. With enough force put into it he broke through the jutsu and shook off like he needed to exercise. Taking a moment to take a step back and soak in there words, the more understandable words of the woman who froze him and then the one who he really needed time to sort her speech out before responding.

"I'm sorry I guess you're not from the same era I am from where death was common place and we spared no one on any side, not even friends and family, though you would've learned that when I tried to introduce myself the last time we met. It seemed it just went through one ear and out the other." At this point Kira's chakra with seething slightly from one of his eyes a black and blue aura,

"I am not about to let a rude little s**t tell me if I am a coward when she doesnt know s**t about me. So I say cut out the bagworm before it infects the rest of the tree. I say this as a person who doesn't need to prove himself, i've proven myself dozens of times in missions in the past I dont need YOUR approval, Your vile tone however needs to be corrected. I say this ONCE. Fight me now and at the worst I leave you bleeding and I will not help you to the hospital or wait a week after I have cool off and challenge me proper without that vile language of your's. Really its a wonder you can even talk to people with them not wanting to cork out your vocal cords." Kira then looked to the girl that froze him and said calmly as he could,

"I appreciate the noble sentiment of wanting to help your... acquaintance? But as the b***h said, please stay out of it, no good will come from being around that rotting flower bud." With that Kira body flickered away from the other girl just enough so that he could at least see when the jutsu would come towards him and he could counter within a timely manner. Now he had to waste time preparing, because he knew the answer, in his mind anyway, was going to be a fight. started to direct his current transfer technique softly into his blade so as, he hoped, it wouldn't be noticed though he wasn't really banking on them not feeling the chakra out if they really went full search mode.

Chakra Pool: 195/225- ten for current transfer and 20 to release and break free of magi's paralyze technique

Nina Hojo ll Scholar ll Suiton :: Raiton ll Serial Killer Pharmacist :: D-Rank ll True Ancestor :: Hojo Hybrid

Nina felt a relief fill her lungs as she made actual contact. Her fingers hand successfully clamped themselves around the boys ankle and halted any possible fight... for the moment at least. Neither of the idiots seemed to want to back down however. The boy had taken the time between the flaming tower's monologuing to make his way away from the faux squid's grasp. A tsk threatened to escape from her mouth but she managed to hold it in by gritting her fanged teeth against each other. Her angry sides were close to breaking to the forefront of her personalities. She took her now free hand to reach at her face, pinching the bridge of her nose as she stood up off the ground. "Fine fine. If you two are so dead set on going through with this farce so be it! Children." She huffed as her face shifted to more of a mildly irritated state. Her hair gripped at the air aggressively before curling around her face momentarily. All carefully planned actions mind you. Grabbing her collection of books she stepped back from her position and got the the edge of the area's boundary. She began looking back and forth betwixt the two children, irritation plain on her face. "I, Nina Hojo, will oversee this duel in place of a proper afficiary. If I feel like this scuffle becomes too much of a danger to the students around here I shall step in and put and end to it. I, however, will not intervene if one of you chooses for lethal blows against the other. I bear witness to this duel and will testify accordingly. On my mark..." She reached up and unhooked one side of her mask, letting it drop down to the side of her face. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She hated playing the lawman. Such a tired gimmick. She, however, was left with no choice she had gotten ahead of herself and wanted to secure a prey that might not even be worthwhile. She couldn't just break character now. Opening her lilac eyes she took one last look at the both of them. Each was preparing their own attack, roaring to go as it were. "Begin!" She shouted, judo chopping the air in front of her.

Her words were heard, were adapted to, but her mind was already adapting to the flow of battle. Arrow trained on the boy, her posture rigid as any professional show archer would, there was no indication of the shift in behavior. Would the girl feel it, though? Would she look at Zuu, see the rigid posture, and notice the feral smile spreading across the girl's lips and the wild fury within her eyes? It had been some time since she'd fought someone as arrogant as this, as long as she'd been asleep with an additional three months. In all that time she'd not needed to fight a human, let alone a man. And so part of her felt that it was time to relive the past, to return mentally to the days when men attempted to rule her life, to decide her course. Back to when her Sept told her no woman would ever be a soldier in the armies of the Wolf Sept, when they did all in their power to oppress her and force her into the milkmaid that her sisters were. ㊌ ☾ ☾ ☾ Kira Yamata ☽ ☽ ☽ ㊌

Kira looked to the squid woman and then finally affixing his gaze to the red head for one final confirmation. It seems she wasn't backing out of the challenge she proposed, "... death it is..." he waited long enough for the squid woman to take the 'judging' spot to make it seem like he was making a fair play. At the slight moment before the womans hand lowered and her word for go began Kira made his move towards the red head. Kira made body flicker dashes in a zig zag formation draining on his stamina so that he could finish this quickly. When The woman's mouth said begin the archer let loose a symphony of noise, sound... and a ghost band??? What the hell does this b***h think she is a rock star!? this is a FRICKING FIGHT!? Soon after the appearance of the band a arrow backed by a sonic noise came towards the area where he was currently standing. scraping sounds filled his air but he had to push through it iin order to kill his new target.

However Now that he thought of the maneuver he took it was such a obvious ploy its why she shot at him with such a wide varied noise maker that no doubt was a area of effect. He had to retract and think of something else. Kira made a momentary retreat sideways to his right away from the arrows path and the subsequent noise that followed it but not before mildly getting affect as his ears wrung out with the sounds of bells and slight bleeding in his left ear occurred. thankfully the blood was absorbed and hidden by his helmet. Making sure your enemy didn't know your hurt was one thing he was taught at the academy to fool your opponents into thinking your tougher than what you're actually capable of.

With the rock band still loudly playing that horribly song Kira kept his eyes on the prize: that red heads neck and lopping it off her body. Taking a moment to catch his breath Kira thought of a strategy that even She wouldnt think of trying. Weaving some signs together as he moved around and closer to the b***h to take in the moisture in the air and form two water clones. As soon as they where formed Kira's instincts began to take a unusual turn. He thought about his use of the water clones and wondered if she was just trying to get him to reveal all his techniques in one battle for someone else to see to finish him off later. if so then he would have to keep calm from now on and hope that the water shuriken he had his clones prepare for would do the trick of saucing her out.

Kira Clone One took up a spot in the cieling as soon as he was formed and used body flicker to get out of sight as fast as possible. He then weaved the signs to perform his one water shuriken technique behind Zuu throwing eight stars along the spine of her back. However Kira Clone one looked on and wondered if that was indeed the best course of action

Kira Clone Two Stood infront of Zuu and moved erratically and started weaving signs for the water shuriken technique but halted in his process. He knew that Kira origin had plans but in order to execute the mission he would need to go in. Besides a little deviation didnt hurt anyone. Kira Clone Two then went and weaved signs for the water sword and manifested it on his left hand and drew his clone sword and charged at Zuu head on his blades entering a X formation readying to counter the next arrow.

Kira Original Saw that one clone had done as instructed but was weary after the fact while clone two had completely deviated from the path entirely! He couldn't imagine what was going inside that..ones..head. Wait a moment, What was with all this hesitation on his movements Kira's training ade him NEVER hesitate on his actions what was going on! The only Thing Kira could think of at this point is let the clones do there work and used the shadow stealth technique to mask and hide himself in a invisible shroud of chakra

They hadn't figured out that her song was causing their self reflection and doubt, and from the expression and movements of more than one of the clones as they formed and moved it was clear he wasn't used to such thoughts and feelings. That meant she only had a bit of time before he realized she was afflicting him with Paranoia, and that would cause serious problems for her fighting style. Distract, disable, and disarm were the three rules of fighting an opponent who specialized in precision based movements and strikes. It was clear this would be the case with his using of those shinobi tricks to teleport across the field.

tab The smile from before ramped up its ferocity and she continued into her song. "Mad Jack dressed in black, gonna give mama a heart attack!~" A little jam, a riff of a guitar, and she spread her stance as she felt the beat of the music and the power that came with it infuse her frame and muscles. "Soul buyer, spittin' fire, only your touch gonna get me wild!~" Raising her bow, arrow taught, she unleashed the final bars of her song before the chorus began. "Say I'm not a sinner but you make me a liar!~" The final words, and the music that followed, erupted just as the eight shuriken came for her back. Yet the boy wouldn't know, couldn't know just how good her senses were. She could hear their movements as they flashed forward, and so she crouched and threw herself into the air, her chakra blazing through the muscles in her legs as he arched gracefully over the eight shuriken. Twisting midair she unleashed a sonic blast along with her arrow towards the clone that dared to attempt to hit her from behind.
tab "I like the games we play,~" she sung as the arrow would obliterate something as weak as a water clone, but not without some blowback of its own as she felt the force of the strike cut neatly and thinly across the epidermis of her forearms. Using the eruption of sound to propel her backwards she flipped and hit the ground in a tumble, allowing herself to slide backwards and, likely, through Kira's legs as she shot the same eruption of sound from behind him into his back. "When you're in side my brain,~" If she were lucky this would hit, but even if not she would use that same eruption to send her skittering backwards across loose gravel before she'd flip and land back on her feet, bow at the ready.
tab A snarl? A grin? A snarky smile? It was difficult to describe the girl's face as she watched whatever carnage came with a carefree attitude, but then again that was her specialty. Fighting with chaos, even being the chaos at times. "No, a little good don't stop the devil!~"

㊌ ☾ ☾ ☾ Kira Yamata ☽ ☽ ☽ ㊌

Watching from the side Kira observed the movements of this red haired b***h closely and saw how she dodged the shuriken. Taking note that she seemed to be able to listen to the weapons that closed in around her Kir sighed in his head knowing this would be slightly more difficult now. There was also this paranoia creeping in his mind, the only thing he could think of is that a jutsu of his, or most likely hers, was rattling his cage. Kira started to softly and quietly go through the hand signs until he reached the kai sign and released some chakra to interrupt the flow. A wave of clarity finally emerged like a fog had lifted over his mind. He sneered behind his invisible shroud as he knew this was her doing now. Not knowing if the second clone would catch on Kira original moved his sword slowly in between his hands and began the weaving signs for one of his more devastating, and exhausting, chakra attacks.

Meanwhile The Second Water Clone Looked at saw the first one dissipating over a sound arrow attack. As the girl went under his legs The clone looked behind him as she was readying her second sound arrow. Not wanting to end up like the first the clone ducked in cover dodging the arrow barely damaging his right ear this time still hidden by the helmet though nstead of blood water trickled into the helmet. The clone looked at the girl snarling like a animaland stabbed the ground with the clone blade it had and merely charged to her left right side trying to expose as much of her left as possible, enough to expose her heart, Hoping his original could land a blow.

Back To the Original, Kira managed to finish the signs as the clone charged into battle. Kira shook his head as he held out his own blade infront of him as a directional tool towards the girl. He didn't care where he aimed, heart, stomach, liver, or even her head, He hoped this attack would put that infernal noise to rest. Taking in a deep breath Kira chanted softly, "Raiton: Rakurai no Jutsu" With that a large thunderclap enveloped the area causing multiple eardrums to pop due to the noise a a single strike of long blue colored lightning headed for Zuu With his camouflage stealth and the distraction of the water clone accompanied by the sudden noise instead of a continuous noise to follow Kira hoped this would be enough of a 'Shock' to put the rabid beast down

[ T ]he clone dodged to the side, trying to drag her gaze away from something else. That was clear given the boy's words and methods. There had been two, a common number of clones besides three. That meant either Kira was hiding a clone or hiding himself, either or. Insulting him as a coward using coward's tactics wouldn't likely do much, since he was doing it to begin with. He was shinobi trained, that much was true, and clearly he'd remembered some of his past as she had or else he'd still be trying to get within arrows distance of her. Given how often he was using the shunshin it was clear he'd likely burned through its uses, as to her knowledge the extreme fatigue brought on by it limited it to three uses before the body began to break down from the extreme speeds. If that was the case then he wouldn't be popping up behind her anymore, but would be sneaking about. Staying still, then, became a danger in and of itself, but movement without noting his present location was just as suicidal. That left her thinking back to her days as a hunter of murderers, something that brought the feral smirk into a full blown grin.
tab Closing her eyes the girl listened, taking in the noises around her in the way of a hunter. The steps of the shinobi clone pittering across the field, her own words echoing across the field, and the movements of others training nearby. The wind howling above, the whisper of it around them and through her clothing. And something...else. Something that sounded like...

tab Too late she heard the words and the movements as the lightning arced into her body, coursing through her flesh and muscles and bones, sending her body into a convulsing mess. Every nerve lit with fire and fury and pain such that he breath was ripped from her lungs explosively. Difficult to think, to feel, to do anything at all when one's body was moving against you, with the pain of lightning lancing through you. Yet she persevered, arching forward, aluminum bow in hand as she roared. Perhaps that sound alone would give the boy pause, or startle the squid girl, for it edged on an inhuman tone that was darker, more menacing, with a fury that edged on animal. Yet as she roared she would slam her bow into the ground, her palm pressed firmly against the metal, which caused the electricity to go from her directly into the earth. It was more conductive after all, and allowed her body some time to recover as she turned her gaze to the side where she was certain the clone would be coming.

㊌ ☾ ☾ ☾ Kira Yamata ☽ ☽ ☽ ㊌

Emerging from the shadows of the spot he fired off his jutsu Kira stood tall walking over, not with confidence or bravado, but with caution. Kira's sword sparked massively with raiton energy some from the residual jutsu he just shot off, and some still going from the current transfer technique still softly going into the blade. As he walked past the two water clones that had now turned to puddles from the attacks the girl made he took the time to give a sole sign of a prayer acknowledging there efforts in the battle like they were also people. He then looked to the red head and sneered and merely shook his head. Reaching for the straps under his chin and behind his head Kira removed the helmet and mask to finally reveal his face to the woman with a grimacing face.

Kira's amber eyes looked down at her as though a highborn warrior looking down on a average soldier would on the battlefield yet still command and delivered respect in his gaze, despite the rage it held. His shoulder length red hair seemed to be more aged than most others as the red hairs mixed with elderly silver giving off a strange color of rusted metal in a sense. The left side of his face was where the real action was as multiple scars of varying ages, lengths, and seemingly depths all seemed to coalesce. A small scar made its away on the ride of his nose slightly coming into contact with three animal claw scars going down from his eye to his jaw line which intersected with one last scar going from the corner of his lip to the corner of his mandible jaw.

Though it looked to most he was a battle veteran he was still just a 16 year old as behind the scars and the serious expression he gave. Kira continued his walk forward and simply looked down at her, his chakra starting to emit erratically taking the form of a black dragon and his right eye a swirl of blue and black energy leaking out. As he stood 4 feet away preparing a stance he said to her softly, "...You should have taken me seriously girl..." Taking in a second to breathe Kira took aim and using the current transfer in his blade he kept the current up but sheathed his sword. Taking the proper Stance Kira made a 1v1 of the next strike as he was going to try a Iado strike. Final he unleased his fury, his attack, all the was pent up in this moment into one strike, Kira used the last of his chakra keeping up the current in his blade and to accelerate himself a bit faster on the foot speed and using the residual raiton to increase his draw the glint of metal showing as he performed the famous 'quick draw' of the samurai world.
