RP Response:It wasn't a terrible bother to be without his scarf, but it would serve as quite useful the longer he was out and subjected to these colder temperatures. Thus he continued his pursuit for it. However this fall into a pit of darkness and clinginess was very unexpected.. His first attempt to grip at the walls and pull himself up was a failure, hand returning back to his side quite quickly as he looked up in hopes to find some sort of opportunity in escaping.

RP Response: It was in his first failure to grip the walls that Niroko took a moment to really feel around himself. Such an odd texture...Slippery, difficult to grip, yet easily able to cling to him in turn. And with how dark it was seeing anything made it harder to decipher new venues of ascending out of this unfortunate predicament.

RP Response:Apparently there was someone else also trapped in here?? But he could only hear them struggle, ears twitching lightly in attempt to locate them. Maybe if they worked together they would have a better chance at getting out of this clinging material that didn't' seem to want to work in their favor.

RP Response: With great care, Noriko began to traverse around the odd pit he and his unseen companion were trapped in, claws carefully hovering and tapping the slick surface, able to find a few areas that weren't as bad as before. With small call outs made to who ever was in the pit with him, the chomp began attempting raising himself from the sticky depths.

RP Response: It was surprising, but eventual footing was found as Noriko kept feeling along and pulling himself up the unseen path to his escape. He could feel progress being made as the slick surface was waning, and light seemed to be visible again. Truly these pixies were quite tricky... and maybe more dangerous than previously noted.

RP Response: Somehow he kept finding ways up, by bumps or areas that weren't quite as slick as the ones before. And soon enough he was rising out of the deep pit that had swallowed him up and attempted to keep him stuck down there. It felt like a miracle that there'd even been a way for him to escape such a darkness... but he wasn't one to lose faith easily.

Prompt IV
Pulling yourself out of the pit, you find yourself in the heart of a battle. The flashing light of the pixies is scattered around the wood as they toss sparks and fireworks into the brush. Where the magic strikes the sugary coating of the foliage catches ablaze. All around the air whistles and fizzes. Dim lights linger near the ground, slowly sinking into the muck.
Suddenly, you feel something cold, damp, and furry scurry across your hand. Through the gloom, you can make out the hunched silhouette of a very large rat. As your eyes adjust, you recognise more in the shapes of shadows by trees, briefly illuminated by the firecracker blaze. Others appear in the branches. Even more race out from the undergrowth. Several scuttle across your feet. Every where you look it seems, you see more and more rats, once invisible, now numbering in the hundreds.
Meanwhile the pixies numbers continue to dwindle and a growing darkness stretches its fingers across the clearing...
That What was Eaten...
Sorry for the delay! Apparently the last post got eaten and I did not notice. There are no mechanics for this round. There are however many rats, which are almost like mechanics.

RP Response: He'd been surprised but relieved to escape the trap that he'd been lead into. But before he could even register what he'd even pulled himself out of, he was in the throws of a full on battle... eyes flickered to follow and process the display before him, observing the battle between light and fur.. What was this? what was going on?

Prompt V
The trees, the snow, and even the starlight overhead seem to disappear into the encroaching darkness as rats fill the clearing. The visible world around you shrinks until there is only a small patch of the grove left. It's not just dark. You get the feeling that there is nothing beyond that black space but empty void.
A tiny hand tugs at your ankle. A pixie collapsed in the snow lays prone beside you. Wordlessly, it points to where the cluster of rats is thickest, swarming around a single spot. Beneath them, you can make out a few shy beams of light, steadily failing under the onslaught. Atop the swarm, a large rat, raises its sword high as its cloak whirls behind it.
The pixie tugs at your ankle again. It produces a familiar looking cellphone.
Lights Out
The rats have won the battlefield and darkness is falling fast. The only line remaining is that which is slowly being buried. The single remaining pixie as your side seems to want you to do something about it. From the pixie you have received a cellphone. You also have a few sludgy candy plants left at your feet.

RP Response: It was an ungodly sight to behold, the small creatures battling and completely obliterating the opposing side. What had been so whimsical and light with play, turned dangerous and violent so quickly... Looking down to the pixie, Noriko knelt to its side, canting his head at the procured cellphone. An odd thing to see in the thick of this area.... where did this come from? Surely it wasn't the pixies...
But it was given no more thought when the pile of rats was given notice, standing and approaching as he saw them swallow up the light. Without hesitation, the calm and composed hallow reached down and began to scoop the rats out of the way, digging for the light nearly snuffed.

Prompt VI (Final)
The rats flee before you, and as they disperse, the clearing is once more bathed in light. The starlight returns overhead, candy cane trees spring from the sweet powdered snow and tender little gumdrop blossoms sprout beneath your feet. The light appears to be coming from an unconscious fallen. They float in midair in front of you, levitating through some unseen force.
Around you the pixies pick themselves up off the ground and hover around the sleeping fallen. No matter how they poke and prod though, the fallen will not wake. In the distance, you can make out a sliver of sunlight as dawn breaks on the horizon. The world around you, though so recently returned seems to be turning hazy. You find yourself forgetting what was there. Only the fallen in front of you remains in perfect clarity.
About Time...!
The night of wonders is drawing to an end. The only thing left to do is to awake the napping fallen before you.

RP Response: The sight was shocking, and had the hallow probably stagger back if it weren't for his stalwart demeanor. But his multitude of eyes followed the transformation that spilled around him, admiring how quickly the recovery was spreading. Upon finding the slumbering fallen, Noriko watched and studied them for a spell, before approaching when the pixies failed to awaken them. Perhaps the little ones leader?
Raising an arm, a single large claw delicately placed its tip upon the smoothed forehead of the sleeping stranger. Quietly Noriko began to hum something akin to a lullaby, as his eyes closed, all but the one aligned on his forehead. Just as gently, the claw began to travel at a slow pace from the start of one temple, en route for the opposing. Perhaps magic could be of use here, in guiding the unconscious being back into the world of the woken.

AwakeAs you hum, the fallen shifts in their slumber. Light spills across them from the rising sun. Their eyelids flutter and you can feel the world take in a breath. Everything is still. Then their eyes open. You find yourself upright in a bed—your bed. There is no trace of the fairy world you spent the night in, and even as you think on it, the memory slips away. The only thing that surfaces with immediate clarity is a fallen lit up in the sunrise, much like that of the pale violet dawn breaking through your window. Just a dream then. A strange dream that felt a little too real despite that it could not have been otherwise. Elsewhere in the world a fallen also awakens. Congratulations!Thanks for sticking with it!
