RP Response: Again with that dazzling smile, and her arms wrapped around his neck he head felt like it was spinning. "How could this cute little blue Kumiho have him wrapped around her tiny little finger?" he thought to himself while looking down at her.
Then he felt her brush a soft kiss on his cheek and he almost lost his breath. Every tiny touch she bestowed upon him was like a treasure he coveted. Her nervousness and asking him if they will do okay sent a arrow through his heart. His sweet little Kumiho was scared of not doing well in the competition. To him that was the most luduricious thing ever but nevertheless she felt that way and he intended to soothe her anyway he could.
"Of course we will do well I have you for a partner. All the others are jealous of me you can be sure of that. You have a natural grace to your skating which none of the others have" he said with his eyes on her while they were stretching. His eyes were riveted to her chewing her lips nervously he thought it was adorable.

RP Response: His words made her blush, giving her icy blue-white fur a pink tinge underneath. "Shameless flatterer," she called him and laughed. He was so sweet to her, she wasn't sure how she had ever gotten so lucky. Klaus looked so tough and unapproachable at times but with her he was as soft as the fur on his arms.
Did she mention his arms before? She adored his strength, and not just the physical kind. It always made her so safe to be held in his arms. Speaking of, she let go of one of his hands to spin out and back in. She ended up with her back against his chest which never failed to help her calm down and breathe evenly. There was just something about feeling his heart beat against her... Eira took a deep, steadying breath and smiled. "You're right. We'll give these other teams a run for their money~"

RP Response: His eyes watching her face so intently saw a sudden flash of pink tinge her cheeks and looking closer it also tinged her neck. His heart stopped. It was so beautiful to see her flush, it made her eyes twinkle which made them seem larger than normal and her nose a lovely shade of light pink.
He knew he was lost, sooner or later he would tell her how he truly felt about her but for now he had to concentrate on skating. This competition was important to her and he refused to spoil it for her.
Her voice floated to his ears like music then suddenly he felt her warmth leave him and when he looked up to see where she went she twirled back into him which put them back to chest and the feeling was exquisite! He closed his eyes in bliss trying to get his beating heart to slow and air into his lungs.
Just then she spoke and he laughed at her words, she seemed so sure of herself suddenly he could not help but feel happy for her.
Money is it? Think to bet on our skills? I would happily take that bet for I would bet on you any day of the week. Be money well spent" he told her as he began to twirl her out by stretching his arm.

RP Response: She could feel his laugh as well as hear it rumble in her ear and it caused a shiver to slide up her spine. "You can bet if you want to, darling, just make sure you come out on top," she said and winked at him before he twirled her back out. She spun back, curling in against his chest again but this time facing him. "Think we've warmed up enough for now?" she asked with a smile. The competition hadn't even started yet and she was breathless already, but she was pretty sure Klaus had something to do with that.

RP Response: His ears perked up she called him "darling". He was stunned and elated at the same time. She was always aloof with her affectionate teasing which she has done but never called him by a endearment before. It caused him to shiver in response.
His voice was hoarse as he responded to her, "Yes my beautiful one I am more than warmed up" he was looking steady in her eyes. He felt like he could drown in those beautiful pools of color that was her eyes.
The feel of her against his chest was indescriable, the feeling of rightness overwhelmed him. He longed to tell her how he felt but knew this was not the time to do so, but soon he would.
"Since we are both warmed up shall we scout out the competition? I am sure they are doing the same but I believe they are feeling like they do not stand a chance to win against you." with that he clasped her hand tenderly and skated off to the side to watch the others as they skated about warming up.

Tightening the laces that kept her skates on, Eira stood up from the bench. It took little time for her balance to readjust to the added height and standing on skates. She took a moment to look down and examine the outfit she had chosen to match her partner’s. She admitted that at first it looked a little risqué with the figure skating dress mostly being a mesh with a blue and white skirt sitting low on her hips and an attached white one-shoulder strapped cloth that wrapped around her chest and back. There was an overlay of blue sequins that shone prettily in the light, and she had eventually. come to like this outfit.
“How can I not be excited? I’ve been waiting for this event all year,” Eira said as she walked closer to the edge of the rink.
Tapping her skates on the ground one at a time to ensure that the laces held in place, she looked at her partner Gadriel and smiled as he gave a little twirl in excitement.
Taking his hand, she let him help her into the ice. “Let’s do this,” she said excitedly as her skates touched the ice.

RP Response:Gadriel smiled as Eira took his hand and he helped her gracefully enter the ring. He pushed himself off of the wall and attempted to gain speed. "I don't think we should run through our routine just yet I don't want them getting any ideas of how awesome we're gonna be," he called back to Eira. "I'm just gonna do a few laps and get my sea... ice? legs in order I have only skated a few times."
This was when he began to notice the competition slowly making their way on to the ice. "Look! They look so good too, more people to make friends with!" He smiled and watched the others as they began to twirl around the ice together, some looked like lovers some friends, and some like they didn't really know their partner. He hoped that he and Eira didn't look too cold. After all, they hadn't known each other long. "What do you think of our competition?" He asked skating close to Eiras side.

He watched her for a bit as she seemed nervous still, and her shaky laugh wasn't fooling him. Meadow reached up and gently bonked her on the head, sending more glitter falling to her shoulders and the ground. "We used glitter to really shine! Besides, what rainbow isn't made up of shiny little bits? I mean, we couldn't really use water for our costumes… that just would NOT have worked out." He laughed. Meadow was honestly surprised that he was this calm about everything. But he always loved being the center of attention. To him, skating was just another form of art, and since he was going to be the best artist in the world, he had to master this as well. Yup, it was decided then.

Hearing her partner’s words of not revealing their routine, Eira nodded her head in agreement. It would certainly not do to reveal their routine before the competition even began. Gently pushing herself off the wall as well, she said, “I’ve always called them skating legs, but same concept, I suppose.”
Noticing that Gadriel has slowed down a little, she followed his gaze to see the competitors making their way onto the ice. She took note of what they were wearing; some wearing outfits with sequins and beads like they were, a few couples wearing outfits that billowed and flowed behind them, and others wearing... actual costumes that you would only see being worn on Halloween. She shrugged her shoulders at that. Whatever floated their boat.
Seeing how some of the couples just simply moved like a well-oiled machine, she thought about all those long hours she and Gadriel worked to make sure their routine was deemed acceptable to their standards. Hearing his question about their competition, she replied, “There are a few that will give us a run for our money. But... I’m seeing some making some obvious mistakes, like spinning clockwise when in figure skating it’s supposed to be in the reverse.”

RP Response:Gadriel was SOO glad that he had gotten Eira to agree to be his partner. When he saw the flyers for the competition his only thought was AWESOME this is gonna be so fun... but I know nothing about skating. In came his lovely partner. Eira was a lover of all things winter, as was well versed in the do's and the don'ts when it came to not only creating a routine but skating in general. He was so grateful to have someone like her. "Wow, you amazing woman. You really are an astonishing wealth of knowledge. I'm surprised you agreed to be my partner actually. I feel like compared to you, im a newborn baby getting on my feet for the first time." Gad knew that wasn't all true, he had put in HOURS of work not only practicing with Eira on their routine but practicing skating in general. He wanted to make Eira proud, he felt like she was doing him such a huge favor just being with him here. After all, she could have had her pick of any partner she liked but instead, she chose to mentor this friendly dopey little fallen.

Her cheeks turned a deep lavender against her pale skin. “I’m nothing special,” Eira told her partner softly. “I’m mediocre compared to the rest of my family.”
And that was the truth in her honest opinion. Her mother was a magnificent figure skater, dazzling the crowds with her beauty and her ease of movement on the ice. Her father was just as skilled as her mother before becoming her coach, not that her mother really needed help. And Eira? Compared to her parents, she had hit the skating milestones late.
To be honest, when she saw the flyers for the competition, at first she was excited, but it soon changed when she realized that people would be clamoring to be partners with her if they realized who her parents were. That’s why she had, in the end, agreed to be Gadriel’s partner when he didn’t recognize her parents’ names.
Sliding to a stop in front of her fellow Fallen, she took both of his hands into hers. “I agreed to be your skating partner because your intentions were honest and pure. All the others who asked me only wanted to say that they had skated with the daughter of figure skaters. You only asked because you wanted someone to skate with.”
She gave him a gentle smile. “You worked so hard for this Gadriel, and I’m so proud of how far you’ve come.”

RP Response: She was genuinely trying to calm herself down....focusing on herself a little too hard when she felt the light bonk that rained glitter down from her head. Aurelia blinked several times, causing her eyelashes to catch the falling venereal crafting item, then she looked at Meadow in confusion until his words started sinking in. His silliness was just too pure for her not to laugh at. "That's true....though I wonder if we can do that thing where you skid your skate sideways and make a bunch of ice shavings explode up? That would be pretty cool and it would look like we're coming from the ice!" Talking about the things they might be able to do helped ease her nerves a little. It was highly unlikely that a couple of young amateurs like themselves could do something THAT fancy...but they could dream, right?

That was much better! Seeing Aurelia smile like that made him feel more confidant. Though what she suggested was probably impossible, but what the hell? Why not? "Oooh, that might be a fun way to end! You know, shower everyone with a dusting of glitter and ice shavings." Meadow started bouncing a little bit, shedding glitter like a vespercat sheds fur. In the back of his mind, he wondered if they had gone maybe just a teeny tiny little bit overboard on the glitter. It was pretty much imbedded in his hair, and he'd probably be finding glitter even after he graduated university. Not to mention the glittery makeup they wore. He pondered it a moment then decided there was no such thing as too much glitter. "Oh! And that thing… you know, that move where like, you grab your foot and spin like an egg beater? We could both do that and be like 'yeah, we're making Christmas cookies, and we're mixing up the batter!'" Honestly, they shouldn't be trying to add things to their already ill thought out routine. But what did one expect from the excitable children?

RP Response: The more he bounced, the more glitter was starting to litter the area around him....not that they probably hadn't left a trail of them from one place to the next already. Still, Meadow's hype was starting to reflect on her and Aurelia began feeling more excitement than nerves again. "Yeah! Ooo, what if the lights catch them just right and it's like a disco ball effect?!" She paused and blinked a little, looking down at herself....covered in glitter.....dressed as a rainbow....covered in glitter that coordinated with the colors. "Well...maybe we ARE a disco ball effect." Meadow started talking about another slightly more advanced move and she tapped her chin in thought. "You mean like....when you grab it behind you? Oh! What if we did that and then came out of it, came together and held hands while leaning back and spinning around, then come together and slow down so that we can end in a pose so the rainbow comes together somehow?" This was so ill-advised to be adding or re-thinking their routine....but the idea of it all sounded so awesome that she couldn't help but say it out loud.

RP Response:Gadriel beamed at Eira "Oh your parents are some big hot shots?" He supposed that made sense, it would explain why Eira would know so much about skating. He had always just figured that she was passionate about it on her own. That she maybe had some childhood memory attaching her so strongly. A family legacy, that made more sense. "I'm surprised you'd want to if both your parents did. I feel like most kids turn strongly away from the likes of their parents." he smiled as she took his hands. "You just looked friendly and I had heard you liked wintery things. So I really hoped that we could be friends." He again smiled before picking up his speed again. "I won't let you down Eira I promise!"
