Feralis had awoken extra early that morning to ensure he was not stopped by Princess. He couldn't afford one of her delays or having her tag along with him, not today. Well ideally not any day, but today especially. He shivered at the thought of her, and all he had done to escape. 'I feel so... naked.' He thought to himself with dislike. He had... bathed in what most human or faunus called showers. He liked water, sure, but he didn't want his scent erased. He liked the scent of wolves and the woods, not the clean scent you got after a bath. It had reminded him of home, but to ensure none of the felines could follow him as he knew full well beta would help rat him out to princess he had to do so. Eliminating the scent trail would make it much harder for that strange feline to find him. Even if it meant he would have to deal with... smelling clean. 'Ugh... I need to mark territory on beta's side of the room later.' He thought to himself with a sigh. He was not necessarily a dirty person... But he liked to maintain his wolfish scent. Still, this sacrifice would be worth it if it actually helped keep princess away from him. Waking up early helped, as there were limits to even when she would wake up to make sure his first sight would be her. It was... terrifying to say the least. He never knew quite how long she would be standing above him and watching him sleep... honestly did not want to know. He had no clue why a feline would be so... possessive of him. It made absolutely no sense in his mind.

Shaking the confusing thoughts from his mind, he focused on his goal. The whole reason he went through all this hassle just to escape princess... hopefully. He had heard from a little birdy that Maria and Kenna were in the hospital, with Kenna apparently being in a coma. It had seemed to happen because of the strange semblance swap that happened, and he had heard even Maria was hurt. The messenger almost ended up in the infirmary as well, but was spared by the fact Feralis was too worried about Maria. Never tell a wolf bad news, it usually doesn't end well. He had been trying to find a way there for a few days, but he had been barred. His history with Kenna was apparently well known, and they worried he would do something. 'As if I would do something to her while she was asleep! I rather kick her a** when shes awake so she knows it.' He thought to himself. That, combined with the fact that it was hard enough to leave his team with Princess holding an invisible leash to him, had made it impossible for him to go visit and see what was happening. Until now that was. He had a plan... for once. He would sneak into the infirmary after someone came in for being knocked out in "training" while they were distracted. He had consent. Well for the training at least. He also made sure they didn't see that he did it.

While they were busy carting the unconscious student away, he took his chance and slinked past them into the patient rooms. Well what he thought were them at least. He had thankfully learned where they were staying... by how much more insistent they got the first time he tried getting in. And how they had to haul him away... 'You think a doctor could stand to see the sight of their own blood with where they work. All I did was give him a bloody nose, wuss.' He silently thought to himself. So while not too familiar with the area, he knew it generally and would recognize their room once he got to it. It took a few minutes of lurking and stalking through the corridors... and helping some people take naps... but he did eventually find the room. "See? That wasn't so hard... Sweet dreams!" He would whisper to his latest captive, having caught them unaware and... "persuaded" them to show him how to get to the room. They never even saw his face before they "drifted off to sleep" on one of the outside seats. He would rise from his crouched form, having stalked the halls as a literal wolf in stance, as he would take a deep breath. While he had planned for this much he still felt a bit of... well weird. He had no clue what to call the feeling, his stomach just felt strange and he knew he wasn't hungry. Going to the door he wondered if he should knock...Putting his ear to it but hearing nothing...

'Screw it. Worse comes to worse I wake Kendall up and get to see how she is. Or fight her. Depending on how well she is. And how mouthy she is.' He silently reasoned to himself. In truth he was not really apprehensive about Kendall. He was worried for her, deep down, and hoped she was ok. She could not die or be defeated by a coma. He was the one who had to beat her into the ground and be able to gloat about it. But the real issue was Maria. He had not been there to help her again, and she got hurt. In what way he had absolutely no ******** clue. He didn't want to see her any weaker than she was before, and hoped it was nothing but... he had a sinking feeling. Besides meeting one another, good things rarely happened to them. He hadn't even seen her again since the ball, since he and Kendall argued and parted yet again... No time with his team or even knowing how to contact them. The one downside to not being tech savvy was that he didn't know how to communicate with them. And in the craziness of that night, he could not find their scents again. Even hearing about what happened to them now was pure luck on his end... and misfortune for many others. He took another deep breath. There was no point hesitating or worrying... people may notice all the bodies soon. He had to act now... and took a deep breath. Trying to open the door but finding it locked. 'Agh, damned door!' He thought in his mind as he acted on impulse and kicked it... not particularly hurting him, but making a very loud sound nonetheless. 'Oops...' He thought to himself a bit too late. Whoever was behind it would've likely have heard that so...he should wait and see? Though if no one answered soon he may try his hand at breaking it down.

Danaë hobbled into the infirmary, on crutches. Her leg was broken, and in a cast. It had been a clean break, but that didn't mean that it didn't hurt. She also found out for sure that she didn't have hollow bones. That was the only thing that possibly saved her leg. The cold weather wasn't doing her any favors either. Today, she had on a dress, and even though she hated the feeling of clothing on her feathers, she was wearing a cardigan. Her steps were not silent this time, as the crutches made noise. It was good for Narx, but then she lost her favorite part of her day, Startling her boyfriend.

However, she wasn't here with him today. He had insisted that she waited for him to bring her here, but she didn't want that. She needed to be with her brother, and she wasn't going to be stopped. She was probably going to eventually crawl into bed with him, trying to wake him up. She couldn't exactly stand in one place for too long. Which is why she asked to not be apart of the training extra credit this time. She would have helped someone learn how to stealth, but that required two legs.

It took her a while to get to the room that her brother was in. She turned the corner and then saw her brother laying in a bed, hooked up to machines. She hated this look. He needed to not be here. She would push a chair up to her brother's bed, using her crutch. She would then drop herself into the chair, however, before she grabbed his hand, she would take out her scroll. "Hey...I made it to the infirmary, and before you ask, he's still not up." She would then hit send on the message. She then grabbed her brother's hand. She would also need to make sure that his wings were being moved. She'd hate for him to not be able to fly because they didn't do their job here.

XXXThe day was calm and clear, but ever so cold. It was quiet, as an infirmary should be. . . . Well, aside from a young wolf getting a bit too intimate with a door that didn't want to be open. It was one of few bangs that erupted in the infirmary, but it quickly died down. Settled, calm. Just as a hospital should be. Many of the current patients were in an unknown status, under the effect of some force greater than them. For that reason, the infirmary seemed almost eerily silent. Not a word is spoken out of place. Those who were visiting seemed to sit in silence. Watching, waiting. For the slimmest sight of hope. That was until something disturbed such eerie tranquility. There was a crash as sound resonated through the infirmary. A door was kicked open with a crash, a nurse shoved out of the way.

"Wh-where the h-h-hell is he?! Whe-where are yo-ou keeping him?!"

A woman's voice screeched through the infirmary. A voice that wasn't afraid to be loud and ever so demanding. Her vivid turquoise eyes with a glint of red were wide and full of rage. Just as she shoved the nurse so mercilessly aside, she was ready to sink her frightening teeth in the next person who crossed her. Of course, such a trouble maker wouldn't wait to be answered. She broke into a run, cutting corners in a flash and knocking over loose books and machines. There wasn't time to waste. Crash. Bang. Whoosh! Doors were thrown open and kicked in rapid succession as the woman made her way through the infirmary. She was looking for something, someone. All while her fearsome teeth grit together so tight. Though, it seemed something thicker than saliva was leaking from the corner of her lips. "I-I-I swear t-to god if he's n-not here, I'm gonna=na rip some--- Aaaaaahhhhh!" A tone most ferocious, one that demanded to be feared, was cut in an instant. A threat would fall apart in words and meaning as she let out a shout, a scream. Was it in glee? A new spark seemed to twinkle in pools of turquoise as her precious hues fell upon the red-haired avian in a bed. "M-my husband!" She squealed. Both in a horrid pain but the utmost joy. An odd sight for this woman that has never been seen within these academy walls were the glistening tears that formed in the corners of her eyes. It was a wave of emotion, unlike anything she had ever felt. Something that had been lost was found, a hole that had been filled. A purpose restored.

The woman immediately ran into the room only to stop a few feet in front of the bed. This woman had long pink hair that cascaded down her back in strands, glowing under the overhead lights. Her skin was soft, pale, and utterly flawless. Not a single blemish, as if some cosmetic masterpiece. Atop her head were two pointed red horns that were curved ever so slightly upwards. On her, she wore a longsleeved red sweater, though the material was awfully thin. It hugged her form well. It had two hoods, a red one, and black and white plaid. Around her neck was a cross-stitched pink scarf tucked tightly into itself. Below the waist was a skirt and thick black leggings, topped off with fluffy top black boots. All in all, she was dressed to impress in a cute demeanor. Hard to a belief that someone dressed so nicely could cause such a scene between her shivering stutters. The tears of overwhelming joy and emotion trickled down her cheek before a scowl formed on her lips. Serrated teeth would grit once again, her eyes narrowing as hate and aggression became apparent. An expression of glee becoming most foul in an instant. "W-w-what happened t-to him?! W-w-who did t-this to him?!" Vivid orbs would immediately lock on the figure beside his bed, a female who DARED to put her hands on her precious. Her thoughts were ricochetting off her inner walls so rapidly. Overwhelming joy. Horrific worry. Most dastardly jealousy. Topped off with an overwhelming urge to protect what was once lost.

Her scowl was accompanied by a deep growl as her teeth were flashed, showing her fearsome maw. Eve would assertedly place her hand down on the bed, glaring daggers towards the woman. In an instant, the cold lost its hold on her. Not when her blood was boiling at the sight of someone unworthy touching her precious. "You got three seconds to let go before I bite it off, you filthy homewrecker!" Wait. What was that smell? Sure, her nose wasn't as good as some others... But she'd surely recognize the overwhelming number of feathers that matched her own Adam's scent. Even though they were different, the similarities still tingled her nostrils. What could it be?

Danaë looked up, her Citrine eyes confused. There was a voice screaming, one that she knew very well. It had plagued her and her brother's time at Signal. She reached into her hair, and pulled out a throwing dagger. Asger had told her that no one had survived, so either she was hearing things, or a ghost was coming to haunt her for something that she had no control over. The moment that the being crossed the threshold, she loosed it from her hands, sending it towards the woman's arm. Bright red would burst from the wound, as the woman was undeterred to get to her brother.

She looked at the pinkette, there was no ******** way. Danaë was not one to curse, but she was supposed to be dead. She would stand up instinctively to start a fight with the woman, but her leg buckled under her, causing her to fall to the ground. "Ho-oh! Impostor, you didn't even get the head right, Eve doesn't have horns!" This was more of a hoot in pain. She would pick herself up off the ground, holding herself steady against the chair, her right hand would reach behind her back, pulling out Hatred's Bite. "I don't owe any answers, now leave." She was shaky right now, but it was clear that it was the Owlet, looking stronger than she had before.

XXXEh? What was that, an itch on her arm? With a goal set in mind, the woman wouldn't so much as flinch as the knife embedded itself into her skin. Honestly, it was almost a blessing. Amidst the cold, there was a sudden flow of warmth with an oh so delicious aroma. Turquoise hues would immediately fall on the mass of feathers that tumbled onto the ground, the filthy homewrecker. Eve is only gone for nearly two years and someone has the audacity to get handsy with her husband? How dare they! When he's asleep, no less! A smirk would curl against the corners of her mouth, a red glint forming in the center of her eyes. How perfect this was, the homewrecker unable to even stand her ground. "Tch, just cause you let go doesn't mean squat!, homewrecker!" She'd snicker. Her eyes would remain locked on the girl as the hand of her uninjured arm pulled the blade from her skin. Oh, how delicious it smelled. She just couldn't help herself. "How'd you know my favorite snack??? You're SOOO sweet!" Lifting the knife, her tongue would carefully travel the length of the blade. In one lick she'd clean the knife off, then twirl it in her fingers before grasping it in a backhanded grip. She attacked first, so it was fine. Right? Eve took plenty of lives to get here, but each and everyone was provoked. Each one was self-defense, so neither Asger or Papa could get mad at her. This was all the same, an endless cycle. The cycle and fate of those who stood between her and her Adam.

Then she'd hear a familiar hoot, one that accompanied her scent well. Bright hues would widen in curiosity, her head tilting as the red glint faded. She knew this ball of feathers smelled familiar! In fact, she looked the part well. Sure, she's definitely grown, but Eve recognized her like it was yesterday. A colorful assortment of feathers that were similar to her own precious Asger's, though far . . . Floofier. An adorable little scrap that all the other humans would pick on, trying to pluck out her feathers as if it was some game. No no, she didn't like that. If someone messed with the sister of her precious', they would have hell to pay! The most notable of the sort was a poor sap named Kevin who may have very well dropped out of Signal after she was done with him. Once a twisted smirk of a sadistic maniac would calm, turning into one of excitement and disbelief. "Wait. You're hootin' with me right now! Ms. Floof, in all her feathery glory?"

Sure enough, this was her in the feathers. Who else would know her name? Also, horns? Eve would pause, gazing up towards the ceiling as if trying to see the top of her own head. Thoroughly distracted, Danae used this chance to regain her barrings and get to her feet. Eve's smile would grow wider, amused at the call out. She was completely unphased by another knife being drawn, in fact, it was pretty. "You're right, I didn't have horns! But you know, those wings always did make me a bit horn-y." An awful remark that was followed with the biggest grin. She was so proud of herself, using a play of words. Asger would've been too if it wasn't in such poor taste. That wasn't the only thing that changed, though! "I also only had one set of canines before, but now look at these wicked chompers!" Oh yes, her arm hurt. Would that stop her from recklessly moving it? Of course not! She lived for the stuff. As every nerve in her arm screamed in agony, her smile would grow as a wonderful scarlet blush began to form on her cheeks. Lifting her arm, she'd tug her lip to the side as she smiled, showing a wicked set of serrated teeth straight from a true predator's mouth. Cracking a snicker, the woman would shake her head as she dropped her hand. "I'll tell you, little floof, I'm here for my husband. Puff up as much as you like, but I won't split. Especially now, look at him!" Immediately the woman would pull away. Her firm stance dropped as she dropped to lean against the bed, Danae's knife curled in her fingertips. With her free hand, of course, she'd reach to touch his hand. "My precious Adam! What happened to him? I swear when I find out who, I'm eating for a week. Bet they taste rotten, too. They always do..."

Danaë stood, aiming Hatred's bite at the woman still. Her Citrine eyes widened for a moment, but then they narrowed again. Asger wouldn't lie to her about the death of someone they both cared about. She gripped her dagger harder. "I'm the home wrecker? Eww." She would exclaim. She would almost gag at the idea of her and Asger being a couple. "I have one man, and it's not him." She would add on.

Then the woman seemed to light up, recognizing her finally. "I'd say this is a hoot, but seriously, Eve doesn't have horns, or...teeth like that." Danaë would kind of stare at them. They were big. "What, did you find little red riding hood, and she asked how big your teeth were?" Danaë would facepalm at the horn joke. "Well, if horn length is equal to performance, then I'd say you are lacking." There was no doubt in her mind that this was Eve. The only person who made owl puns with her was Eve, and she was even going further this time, with the horn jokes.

Danaë would then sit down in the chair, her leg was killing her. Her face went from playful banter to seriousness. She'd pull her hair from in front of her right eye, showing Eve the scar on her face. "How long have you been in Vale?"[/ This was a serious question that needed to be answered, as that would depend on what she had felt 2 days ago.

XXXSo was mistaken. For once. . . . Actually, most times she was mistaken. As unhealthy as it was, Eve would always jump to an explosive conclusion while getting defensive over Asger. It was always meant in good fun, mostly, but always held some lingering intimidation. Something that Danae clearly wasn't experiencing. A fact that only concluded that this mass of feathers really was the fluffy sister she picked on from time to time. A toothy smirk stretched across her lips at the mention of a man. Little floof got herself an Adam? The pinkette's mind began to wander immediately. How did the two of them meet? What was he like? Was he human like her, or a faunus? . . . What did he taste like? Oh that was the most exciting question. After all, Asger was easily her favorite taste in the world. His blood was a succulent nectar, his flesh a forbidden fruit that she could only treat herself to on rare occasion. After all, she didn't want to hurt her precious too much. Did Danae too enjoy the taste of her Adam? That was how one determined their mate, did they not? Then again, the young owl never seemed to keen on eating others. . . . Neither did Asger. Well, maybe Eve would still get a taste. After all, 'Big Sister' needed to give her own opinion before granting her blessing!

Did the little owl really want to test her patience? OF course she didn't have these horns before! She didn't have these fearsome chompers, either!
"Did that same little red mention what big eyes you have, hoots?" The woman would scoff. From wolf puns to owl puns, the two were quick cannons ready to unleash a barrage on one another. It was no wonder that somehow the two of them got along, though Asger was always in the middle. "If by little red, you mean those tribal cucks, then absolutely. Grew these just for the job, I did. Tasted most foul, they certainly did. Left me with a bigger stomach ache than Kevin." The encounter felt as if it happened just yesterday. It was she who dragged a mangled member to the gates of their camp, only to be shotdown in cold blood. Except they made two mistakes. Mistake one, they didn't aim for the head. Mistake two, they told her that Asger was dead. "It's not the size of the horns but how you use them! Oh I bet he'll just love them, don't you think?" The woman would snicker under her breath, dipping her head towards Asger for a moment.

As Danae didn't interfere with Eve's reach, her frigid fingers would curl around Asger's palm. Mixed with the obscured mental state from the dagger's work, Eve's face got noticeably more pink. For what seemed to be the first time in her lifetime, she found a piece of clarity. The sensation was so surreal; to feel the warmth of her most precious bird against her skin. It was what she lived for, thrived for, and nearly died for. A soft sigh escaped her lips as her turquoise hues immediately calmed, overrun with a sense of tranquility. What were they even talking about? Now lazy but still vibrant hues would glance towards the bedside girl. A smile tugged at her lips. "Papa dropped me off just earlier today. Told me I was enrolled and ready to go. I was told my husband was apart of some accident, so I immediately came here." Those words hurt as they left her lips. As if a thread in her heart was just cut, acknowledging that something ailed her precious. It seemed impossible, but there was a somber aura in the air. A sense of sadness that was quickly replaced with curiosity as she tilted her head. "That scar isn't from me, I would've taken your eye. What happened? Who'm I sending home this time? Better not be that cuck again, I swear." Though a smirk crossed her lips, it wasn't a friendly one. Eve never joked when it came to avenging this birbs. Nearly got expelled from Signal on multiple occasions because of that. It was an unrelenting fury she carried for anyone who dared to cross her Adam. And for that, she couldn't help but get protective over the sister he held dear as well.

Natalie glances over to the girl in the room that could only be described as dark. She didn't know who she was but she seems to be depressed and was muttering as she kept the patient company. There was also a cat hanging about but that one seemed less worry some. The patient was a girl called Zylah (so the dark girl is of course Charlotte). There was no change in his condition and her checks were finished. While she debated saying something the the young girl in the room a loud bang was heard from the hall. The sudden loud noise started her causing the faunus to jump a few inches into the air while yelping. Despite that she made a smooth feline like landing while directing a displeased look towards the hall. What was worse is the commotion then escalated to a series of bangs and crashes that was getting closer. She started for the door and rushed out in the hall. There was a The banging had stopped and been replaced by raised voices. "Just where the hell do they think they are right now?" She hissed under her
breath. Her lab coat was billowing out behind her as she stormed down the hall. She only paused for a second as she neared a canine type faunus, probably a wolf. There was a shoe print on the door he was standing outside of. Here cold gaze went from the print to him and seemed to relay a message of "Try knocking next time!". Besides the glare she said and did nothing else. Just passed him by and rushed on towards the real source of the commotion given that while the wolf boy likely started it he wasn't continuing anything for the moment.

When Natalie reached the first kicked open door it was apparent from the voices inside that this was the source. She stormed in. "What in damnation is going on in here!?" She shouted as she crossed the threshold. She stopped just inside the room so that she could take in the situation. Her green eyes darted towards Danae first. The owl girl standing off to the side as if she had been retreating into the corner. On the bed was a girl that had long pink hair. There were short horns and teeth though if she was a faunus Natalie couldn't place her to a species type. They were both holding knives which caused her lips to tighten into a straight line while an aura of extreme disapproving began to fill the room. Her cold eyes could seem to figure out which one to settle on so she kept a careful watch on both as she questioned them. "Just what the hell do you two think you are doing? If you're going to fight get the hell out of my ward!" She had half a mind to just have them both kicked out, but at the very least some explanations could be offered. They certainly were creating as loud of an arguing fuss by the time she got here as when she had left the room on the wards far side.

Danaë would chuckle at the first joke. "There's a difference Eve, I've always had such big eyes. A Grandma like you hasn't." Her Citrine eyes were lighting back up, until she mentioned tribal cucks. Anger filled Danaë. She had not gotten revenge on them for what they did to Donnelly, and Lavender. Anger flashed on her face, then the door opened again. Didn't people understand to not just come in?

No, things are fine, we just both like daggers." Danaë would hide her emotions of Anger, pretending that they were not there. In her hand, she would start spinning the deadly looking Dagger. However, the interruption had stopped the explanation. Danaë was still a very private person, and this woman was interrupting time with her "sister."

XXXOh now that was cold! An insult that caused the woman to scowl, only to follow with a snigger. Bitter laughter towards Danae's own pun. This truly was Danae in the flesh and feathers. No one else would brave the dangers of taunting Eve with a smile. It was something about the bundle of feathers that she appreciated. While she considered most people far too annoying to bother with, she was glad that she was along for the ride. After all, Danae was a real hoot~ Pale and delicate fingers curled into Asger's palm. This was her happy place, the moment that made all the trials of the past year worth it. That was until she heard footsteps approaching their room. With each closing step, Eve would shift her fingers. One hand in Asger's would shift to gently weave her fingers with his own to keep a gentle but firm hold. She wouldn't lose him, not again. Her other hand, however, was far less innocent. The dagger that she had clutched in her curled fingertips would be twirled once again. As if she was fidgeting, the blade would almost elegantly weave between her fingertips, anticipating the arrival. Turquoise orbs would narrow as a figure rounded the corner, a red glint shimmering in her gaze. A look to kill.

Except, she wouldn't. As the door opened, a feline faunus would enter the scene. If Danae had been a second later on her response, the nurse would have had a knife thrown at her in the same manner Danae had done to her. She wasn't about to let someone come take her Adam away, not after all of this. But Danae was smarter. At least, just a bit. The red glint that shimmered in turquoise pools would vanish, a playful smirk crossing her lips instead. "Right right, Ms. Nya~ Can't get enough of them!" She beamed towards the woman. All troubles seemed to melt away as Eve leaned up once more. The dagger that danced between her fingers would be flicked up, balancing on the tip of her finger. "We've always bonded over sharp things, my sister and I. She's a real cut above the rest, keke. I just wish my poor hubby could see us now." With her words, a single tear would glisten on her cheek. A distant look of sadness and longing immediately took hold, turquoise orbs gazing upon Asger. With such a flicker of emotion one would have to wonder, was this true to heart, or a ruse woven together in an instant? As the tear dropped from her cheek, she'd look back toward the nurse and catch the dagger between her fingers again. "I wouldn't dream of fighting such a precious bean as her. There are better uses for daggers, you know? We could have a real bonding experience with them." Though a bit cryptic, one might be able to sense an undermining threat in her words. Eve wanted time along with her family. She wasn't very keen on some nosy nurse trying to butt in on their bonding. Though, if she persisted, maybe her and her 'sister' could bond over something else with these wonderful daggers.

Natalie turns her gaze over to the faunus girl near the corner. She was the fastest to speak up and gave a very basic response. Her gaze then jumped to the girl with the pink hair as she followed up on the answer. Her instincts told her that this one was the cause of the commotion in the first place. Liking daggers as they say really is not much of an excuse. Though it doesn't seem like they intend each other or the patient in the room any harm. If that was the case she would let it slide for now. Her eyes noticed the blood on the pink haired girl's arm. Her shoulder's fell slightly as she sighed in exasperation. She gave Eve one more suspicion laced look. She then pointed at a cabinet along the wall. "You'll find some bandages in there for your arm, I'm too busy right now to tend to it personally. If you really need some help come find me later." Natalie moved back to the door and turned around once more. "Keep in mind where you two are and try to keep the noise down from now on. And no more kicking doors open." She added that last bit as a quick snap directed at the pink haired girl since again she seemed like the cause of all the fuse. She then left and closed the door behind her. Moving down the hall to make sure all the doors Eve violated were intact.

XXXSo . . . What exactly happened? What series of events brought them to this? The day of the semblance swap was not even a memory in the young horned faunus' mind. Merely a gap in thought. There was something missing. So, what exactly happened that day? All he had at his disposal were the words of his teammates, Jazz and Lena, and countless messages and videos that he had recorded himself. No, that was a lie. It wasn't just him who recorded them, it was Zylah as well. In the view of the camera was often one or the other, if not both together. Their voices together could be heard back and forth as they talked, as they bonded. A secret that was never meant to be shared on her behalf came to light. A secret that was accepted by a boy who knew all too well the burden she carried. Not only had he lived it through her eyes, but... Well, it turned out that these two precious beans that were cast aside by a world that didn't want them were far more alike than they knew. They both carried a burden far greater than themselves on their shoulders, a burden that only they together could truly comprehend.

To think that the videos would end so suddenly. It was late into the night, long after many had fallen asleep despite the chaos that ensued. So abruptly a girl with pale hair and a pearly white eye fell unconscious. All the same, a boy that carried the burden of the world merely blinked into a state of bewilderment. What had happened? Where were they? All of which became clear as soon as he scooped her up in his arms, a surge of memories returning to him. They were not in his own perspective, but it was a day that he still remembered. A medley of emotions of paranoia and worry from a feline that knew too much. The shock and guilt of being told that he knew what she was. Why hadn't he run away from her? Why hadn't he exposed her? Something that anyone else would have done, anyone that held any sense. . . . Why was he letting her off, sticking so close by with a smile? . . . Where did that smile go? Yet, a foreign sense of empathy and acceptance when she too heard what this boy was. A boy that carried a past full of pain and torment, just as her own had. The tale of a boy who was raised to be a weapon and nothing more. How that boy had to endure the livelihood of hundreds of others. To feel their pain, their agony, up to the very end. To be used as a weapon to inflict the utmost horrendous actions. To commit acts that could not be forgiven. . . . That he remembered each name and face of every life he's taken. The only reason he could smile each and every day was in blissful ignorance, as a curse to forget his past was the only alleviation. A state of nirvana that came crashing down in an instant. The ruse he had lived, gone in an instant.

Any free time that the boy could muster were spent within the very walls of a place he hated. Both from the memories of his sister and the instincts of his core. He despised the hospital setting with a passion, but would make the sacrifice where it was necessary. Zylah needed medical attention, something that he couldn't deny her. The first night he refused to leave her side. Zylah was the first delivered to the ward the night that many lost consciousness. He made a scene, of course, waking up the entire ward so that she'd be seen instantly. A number of test were ran through the night and coming day, only to discover that many students had suffered a similar fate. A fate with a cause that even experts couldn't quite fathom. The shock of an unnatural mixing of aura throughout all of Vale had left many in a poor state of being, a coma. One that caused a stir in the boy that he couldn't quite comprehend, a deep worry and fear for her own well being. Would she wake up? What about the others? Her teammate, Aaron, appeared to suffer the same fate. Others as well. Elias, the boy he mistook for his first love and taught to dance. The first night he fell asleep by her side. From there, he spent just about every free moment he had to come right back here. To keep her company, to tell her all she was missing. Molly was there, too. Never once leaving the girl's side, even when Felix went and another came to take his place. . . . During all this, he never once returned to his dorm. His mates were worried, but with a quick call and text, it all became clear. "Somethin' happened to Zy, I'm gonna stick around until she wakes up."

Unlike others who seemed hellbent on causing a ruckus, Felix entered the ward rather calmly. Nudging through the office door, he'd offer a wave towards the nurse known as Natalie. Sweet gal, good at her job. Molly seemed to take a liking to her as well, though she seemed to be in a huff. "Aye, Ms. Black. Mornin' to ya, how're you managing today?" He'd ask with a calm smile, snapping a finger gun towards her way in acknowledgement. The snap was crisp, even with the gloves he wore. He didn't slow down, though. It was meant to be asked in passing, but he clearly had a place to be. Over his shoulder was what seemed to be a bag of goodies. Gifts for a sleeping Zy, treats for Molly, a few books and snacks. He brought a little extra this time around, thinking there might be an extra guest. In tow, though, he had a couple fold up chairs. Why was that? Well, for someone else he knew would be here. He heard the complaints before. Talks of the bother that someone he was familiar with was causing, the damage she was doing by visiting so much. It wasn't anything they could help, but... He still overheard it, and part of him wanted to help. Why? Well... He had her memories, so. . . She was part of him.

Before he made it to Zylah's room, he'd knock softly on Elias' own room. ". . . Ey, Cali. Awake in there?" He'd ask in a hush tone, turning the knob without so much of a creak. . . . It was a painful sight, that's for sure. To see a boy he too had admired in the same eyes as her, attached to various machines and devices. He slept so innocent, so soundly. It looked as if a smile was on his lips. Perhaps he knew that Cali was by her side? Speaking of the sandy-haired wonder, she was sleeping less comfortably. Curled up in a chair that was barely in tact, head slouched over while gloved fingers rested delicately over Eli's own hand. A pained smile strained his lips as he set the chairs in the corner of the room. Pulling his back from his shoulder, he'd pull out a few surprises. A couple sets of gloves, a packaged salad with dressing and extra goodies, as well as a cup of pudding. Setting each item down on the end table, he'd top it off with a bottle of water. Before he'd set out once more, he snatch one of the folded blankets from the foot of Eli's bed and gently drape it over Cali. "Gotta take care of yourself too, ya goof." He'd say with a snicker then step away. Just as he was leaving the room, he'd turn to look at them one last time. He noticed something new; a vase that held a metallic rose with spidersilk woven around it. "That's cute." With that, the door click shut.

His true destination was just a door or two down, fortunately. It seemed as if this entire wing of the ward was dedicated solely to those under the effects of the semblance fiasco. This time he didn't knock. Rather, the door clicked quietly as his umber orbs gazed into the room. What was this unusual state of caution with him? Well, he figured what to expect. Just as he thought, there seemed to be a shuddering frame of a rather menacing scorpion crouched over Zylah. He wasn't sure what to think of the sight, but... He knew she was doing her best. 'Bout time she got some sleep. Didn't think she was gonna last much longer.' Unfortunately, Felix had rather heavy steps. Though he tried to walk quietly, Charlotte may have heard the series of steps that followed to Felix taking a seat against the wall. Not quite where he wanted to go, but he wasn't about to snatch his spot from her. He'd be patient, this time. He wasn't about to wake someone up who seemed to be sleep deprived and on the defensive. It wouldn't end well for him, and worse, might not have ended well for Zylah.

Acknowledging his arrival, a soft purr would erupt from the silence as Molly stirred. Being one of the few occasions that Molly was willing to leave Zylah's chest or shoulders, the feline would stretch before stepping gently off the comatose girl. With steps much softer than Felix's, Molly would jump down from the bed and immediately take a place atop his shoulders. She wouldn't dare meow, to keep from disturbing Charlotte. This cat was much more than meet the eye, for certain. Beautiful emerald hues would connect with that of umber, a soft purr in her throat as she nuzzled up against his cheek. "Heeey there, girl. Keepin' Zy safe with Char? Proud a you. . . . Hey, hey. I brought a treat." The boy would say with a smile, tugging his bag to his lap. Fingers would stir through his belongings, tugging out a bag of cat treats. Though with a slip of a finger, his scroll would illuminate. What was on the screen? Well, a new lock screen. A snapshot selfie of the two, grinning ear to ear. Eyes of umber in tangent with a gaze that matched the sky itself. A sight that... Well, it made him a little sad. A pang in his heart that he didn't quite understand. One that gazed his umber gaze to soften as he looked upon Zylah's still form. She would be okay, right? She had to be. He'd be right by her side, waiting to see the mismatched hues of the sky looking upon him. Upon them, because he knew Charlotte missed her too.

[ P O S T ]

A room darkened with barely anything visible. It had a smog sticking to the skin of the lone woman thier. Thick beads of water rolling down there exposed skin while the cloth material used as clothing soaked up the beads that came into contact with it. Though the woman's hair was red. Red like blood. Even her eyes seemed to glow in the dark with a unnatural red hue. The facial features barely being lit up by the red hue from the searchlight eyes. The nose glinting slightly as the smog gave everything a unnatural look. The woman blinked and the world went black. The smog vanished as when she opened her eyes she was kneeling. Illuminating the floor and some ones shoes. ”Now go Remove the pests for the glory o.. Another blink. Followed by several quick blinks. Each time the scene changing. Most of the scenes being the red eyed woman holding someone in the air by a tail like item. That vanished into the smog and came from nowhere. The occasional one was with the woman's own hands. The last one however was multiple people in front of the red eyed one slowly spinning. Dancing one could say. Least before the cone of light dropped to a small device. The words clearly written there. ‘Most accounted for. No defenders at the target.’ Before the finger slid towards the send button on the scroll. Then another darkness as the being shut the eyes.

Outside the loud noises happened. Door splintering slamming. And the occasional shouting.. Inside the now pitch black ‘room’ Everything was softened. Almost muted as the figured opened its eyes again. Standing in front of charlotte. Her own red eyes also lit up. Though the blue hair shimmering bright as well. Though each word made the hair get darker and darker charlotte's eyes getting closer and closer to being closed. It's your fault. It's your fault she's Dead. Its always your fault. Its always orders! You are not free! You never were stupid girl!” “No.. it… wasnt.. Was it?... I … Orders hurt her?... “”What else could. The orders. You. You hurt her. You always do. It's always you. YOU ARE THE REASON. Now kill the pain. Come on Kill it. KILL IT.”

Charlotte's body in the real world tensed up. Even her tail, the stinger moving away from protecting zylah, More looking like it was ready to strike. Strike downward into zylahs chest. This was at about the time molly had made her way over to felix. The tail however was shaking. The main body however other than being super tense was… calm… Each slow breath was even happening in that dark room. Lit now by a barely visible blue hue. But a strong red one from the other woman.”no… Came the weak almost dead sounding response. Her tail slowly recoiling and moving back to protect zylah. ”I.. Refuse.. No.. order will.. Make me..Kill … her Though she mumbled that out loud in her ‘sleep’ ”You will regret that i swear,
where the beings final words before it faded into the smog. Leaving a barely lit charlotte alone...

From there charlotte slowly started to stir awake. Her eyes being the first thing ‘online’ as they flickered open to look over zylah to make sure she was okay. Next was her semblance. Feeling for the kinetic energy of her heart. Though it picked up four in just this room. At that charlotte recoiled a little and lifted her head up fully. Her tail moved quickly away from zylah to protect chars spine as she was now in control of her faculties. Her hearing kicked in next. Well what hearing charlotte had with the two earphones she always had over her ears.

Slowly she cocked her head to look towards Felix. Her eyes narrowing instinctively. Mostly as everything was still blurry. ”Pwy wyt ti” She asked flatly. Her brain having not kicked into where she is. Let alone who else could be here. All her brain was remembering was to protect herself… And this weird person with her. Charlotte's left hand moved towards her eyes to rub the sleep from them, Though they stopped as the fight part took over. If she wiped them clean to help it would block her vision and she couldn't do that with a ‘threat’ around. Though curiously she didn't reach for her weapon at zylahs legs, Or her backup. As she couldn't remember those existed just yet. Peidiwch â'i brifo hi! This time despite being a little louder. Her voice trembled. If only a tiny amount.

One blink. Two blinks. At least now she remembered where she was, Beacon, The infirmary and swapped to english. ”Who.. What.. Why here.. Even as she twisted her body to a defensive position to cover zylah. Something very unnatural looking for charlotte. Why did she feel this much pain and anger towards this person. Hatred, anger, pain, loss… Was the word that charlotte's brain looking for, envy? Jealousy? Either way now was the time to defend. She didn't know if he was hostile. Why she disliked him. Or even why she was defending this person with everything… Then the headache kicked in and she winced. Her right hand moving to cover her temple as her tail dropped to defend zylah again. Why was now of all times she getting a headache. Even her semblance had failed. ”Why.. Her.. not.. me..” Where her final words for now. A few tears actively rolling down her face as she started to wake up enough for memories to return.

Danaë would sigh, as the door closed. Last thing they needed was for someone who didn't need to hear what they had to say to come in. She resumed her pose, almost going from care free to angry again. It wasn't like a switch going off. Danaë was pissed at the tribe. An Aura would pass over Eve, as Danaë activated her semblance. She would then dig under her feathers, it was something that Narx didn't even know that she carried on her person. It was a reminder of when she failed. It was a reminder not to fail again.

"After you and Asger disappeared, the teasing became worse. I don't know if it was because I had both my bullies and Asger's bullies. I know they feared you, but with your absence, I worked twice as hard, and graduated early from Signal. Well, soon after I met Narx, or for you, my Adam. We were about to gather to meet our team mates when we found out that one of them, Donnelly, had been kidnapped. Killed my first man that day, but in the end, I rescued him by sneaking in. We went to show that we had recused him, in fact, we got congratulations, when a bomb went off point blank on him." Her voice was not steady. It still hurt to talk about. "Needless to say, we failed that day, and I was injured." She would reach up to the scar on her face. "But that isn't what caused my facial scar."

She would take a breathe. "The next part of the mission was to save his sister. There we failed again. The two we were recusing died. They were killed by the tribe. I keep parts of their horns as a reminder of my failure." Her face went extremely dark. "So your telling me that the same ******** took my brother from me for a year? They ruined his body like that? He doesn't think I see the scars on his body, but with Heart of the Owl, I can see and hear more than you think." She could hear the footsteps of a man, 3 rooms down, even though his footfalls were trying to be careful. She heard all the beeps from the machines. Anger was the only thing keeping her from falling over in pain.

"So yes, I know who the tribal ******** are, and I am more than willing to do what is necessary to wipe them off the board." Danae sounded more jaded than Eve had last seen her. She wasn't the little girl who stayed with them. She was a warrior who was ready to slay both Grimm and Human alike.

Natalie returned to the office after checking all the doors. For the most part they seemed to be fine. It might be worth reporting to the head master of the academy to see if he could do something to increase the students respect for the academy's property. A great number of them seem to be rather destructive. That wasn't really that important though. Natalie busied herself with some paperwork at her desk while she nursed a cup of coffee for the next few minutes. She had just got up to get new charts when a boy slipped in through the office door. Unlike most of the people she had seen in the halls this one was calm and not making any fuse before or after he left. So she only knew he was there a second before he spoke. Her ears twitching at the sound of fabric brushing on fabric when he stepped in. She turned as he greeted her with a familiar voice. "Here again Mr. Demonhorn. My morning has been noisy, unfortunately." She told him in a flat voice. While her words were well masked the look in her eyes was clearly vocalizing her disapproval. At least it had quieted down to the way it should be since then. Like usual he had snapped his fingers and given her a finger gun when he had asked, and like usually he only hung around long enough to hear her response.

She sighed softly and pondered about his actions. Was there some reason he always did that finger gun? He wasn't hitting on her was he? Maybe he hits on all girls, or maybe it is just something he does all the time. There really was no reason to ponder it too deeply. She went back to her work. Gathering the sheets and then moving off into the hall once more. She slipped in an out of the rooms like a guardian angel checking on her charges. Eventually she ran into Felix once more as he exited one of the rooms. Her green eyes spotting the people still inside, a peaceful though heart clenching scene, before checking the name plate beside the door. She looked over at him and their eyes met at the moment he would of noticed her coming down the hall as he exited the room and in doing so prevent himself from running into her. It was easy to avoid such a situation since Natalie stopped short and pointed the corner of her clip board at the room he just left. "Ah, that reminds me. After noticing the things you have been bringing for Cali Ms De Luca, the girl in charge of their team, asked me to thank you for helping to take care of them. She mentioned wanting to thank you personally, but she figured I was more likely to see you first. She said that which ever of us found you first with the message didn't really matter since thanking you twice wouldn't be enough anyway." After she finished relaying the message Natalie moved on and disappeared into a door down the hall. Leaving Felix to resume his path to Zylah's room at the end of the ward.
