Splintered shards of the starseed sat on her tongue before she pointedly swallowed, making sure that Phoebe was watching her the entire time. A flutter of energy, power, more passed through her and she felt her strength renewed even as her opponent crumpled to the ground in horrified devastation.
"I told you," she started in a sing-song sort of voice when she let the girl collapse to the ground, thumb sliding along her bottom lip when she stepped away. "This wouldn't have happened like this if you hadn't decided to meddle in my business."
Hair was pulled into a hand, moved so that she didn't step on the long strands when she crouched down. "His death, like that, is aaaaall your fault." Her smile was a cruel one but she was standing, creating space between them again.
"Be grateful I didn't kill you too," she said flippantly, before striding off.
