Logan Hitchcock - HP: 9 - Boss HP: 10He should have stayed out of the way... and halfway, he did. Hitch didn't get close to him again, but he did notice that ******** was distracted. So he grabbed whatever he could from nearby - clipboards that were left lingering on the desk? - one in each hand and flung them with all his might. Which was about as effective as you'd think in the dark, but even if his head was swimming, Hitch felt a surge of - not exactly satisfaction, but like he was doing something at least when he heard one of them strike. "Take that you ********!" he snarled, although he had to lean and rest his hands on one of the backs of the chairs to steady himself.

She did nothing to help. What could she have done anyway? She was barely of any help when powered up, but as a civilian she would have just gotten in the way. The noise, the stress, the utter darkness--it was too much.
Stormy backed into the nearest wall away from the symphony of violence and collapsed to her knees, frightened and praying. Someone would come, right?

All Blythe had wanted to do was get a flu shot. It had been such a terrible day, she thought the least good thing that could happen was a relatively short wait before tending to her health. But this was Destiny City: one couldn't so much as grocery shop without accidentally stepping into some new, awful scenario. If this was a Nega-based operation, she was going to have words later.
Tossing some hair back with a sharp sigh, the woman maneuvered herself through the chaos towards the offending nurse. She didn't bother grabbing a makeshift weapon on her way over. No, the clack clack clack accompanying her crisp, business-like stride was the telltale sign that Blythe was already armed with one of the best weapons a woman could have.
Waiting a beat for the right moment, she struck out a stiletto-clad foot at the nurse's face in a high kick.

Shikora MjoliAfter recovering from the last bit of horrible sounds and sensations she heard and saw, she saw that a kick suddenly sent the rude man down in a heap of ... man. Shikora cringed. She wouldn't dare to think about what that meant. "Is everyone okay?" called Shikora, around the room, as she neared the body that was crumpled on the floor. Should she do anything with it? Was there anything she should do with it? Should she even be here? Maybe the less she looked at the body, the better. The less she thought about what she might have had to do with that-- She thought she saw something on the floor, but for now, Shikora turned her attention to the others. "Does anyone need assistance?"

He could not think about it. Thinking about it just made it worse.
Rhys struggled to his feet again, wincing, and limped over to where his husband was, reaching out to snatch up his hand. Zachariah seemed all right - as did everyone else, save for the obvious fact of the man lying collapsed in the middle of the room - but he wasn't going to dwell on that.
His gaze flickered to the key, and then back to Hitch, fingers secure, tight, and surprisingly unyielding.
"Let's get out of here," said Rhys, and made for the door.

She was sure that Briar's idea to go along with those checking behind the desk was brilliant, when her attention was pulled away by a man that appeared to work at the hospital finally appeared. Appeared and literally threw someone. A poor woman. At Briar. A medical freaking professional just did this!! What the hell!? Her hands balled into furious little fists and she stood up to say something when the man then kicked another patient in the leg, telling him to take a seat. She swallowed, taking a slight step backwards. She wanted desperately to get to her friend and the poor people getting attacked by this guy, but she was frozen in fear. Was this yet another Negaverse scheme? How many more times was she going to have to explain where she had been when she kept getting kidnapped by these people~?! At least this time Brodie was here ... Even if he was a drunken mess. Wait. Where had her brother gone? "I'm okay!," she tried to shout over all of the mayhem of the patients now standing up for themselves against this guy. But was she, really? Considering everyone was fighting back and there she was... Completely frozen in place. Doing nothing. The young girl only moved once the man dropped to the ground, sliding up beside Briar uneasily- feeling silly and useless which were things Raleigh did not like to feel or be. "We should follow them, I think," she said to him quietly and nodded in the direction of the missing-an-eye-dude and his companion, who were walking to a door with a key. litian you're a patient angel, thank you for playing with me<3

Zachariah FaulknerWas Zachariah actually upset that the doctor had gone down? He brandished his chair, ready to perhaps reem the doctor through, when the kick from some woman sent the doctor crumpling to the ground. Unsatisfied, Zachariah let out a low growl, throwing the chair aside in a manner that may have been far too violent. He still wanted to do something. Do something to the man for somehow making this night even worse. Do something to... With a snarl, Zachariah stormed his way back over to the doctor with the intention of kicking his side, or bashing his face in, or something to get rid of the unbridled rage pumping through his veins, but his brain was suddenly distracted by something sparkling on the ground. Thankfully, it pulled him out of the rage pumping through his veins. Putting aside his urge to do unnecessary damage, Zachariah bent down to retrieve the silver key off the ground. Huh. He tucked it into his pocket, figuring it may be useful for something, before moving to rejoin Rhys and Hitch. In this kind of situation, it was best to stay together. "Agreed," grunted Zachariah, following.

Hitch took his husband's offered hand like a lifetime; his own fingers were clammy, his grip not as solid as it should have been. But at least there was some degree of adrenaline involved now, enough to keep him moving with a slight nod as he was led towards the door. He sensed Zachariah's frustration - the snarling and way he flung that chair - on the edges of his awareness, and honestly, if it'd been any other time, any other state of existence, he would've empathized more openly. Instead, he kind of shot his old friend a look. A one-eyed kind of look that could've gone right over his head because who the ******** would even want to look in his direction like this, but... he related. That was ******** he just wanted to get out of here.

Other people were also joining the fray against the greying desk-jerk however, enough so that the other couldn't hit all of them–
And they seemed to be doing a lot better than he was, but it meant that there was suddenly more people between him and Raleigh - many more people - well perhaps many was a bit of an exaggeration, but it was still more than Briar would have liked given how creepy this place was although there was no way that he was going to admit to it out loud.
He wasn't expecting things with Mr Jerk to be over that quickly, but it seemed that for a moment that the other had been distracted and it had been enough so that a kick from a grey-haired lady (Blythe) had apparently been enough to send the other crumpling to the ground.
Something fell with a clatter, but Briar's attention wasn't on it as he finally managed to make his way over to Raleigh, who it seemed was also making her way over towards him as they both kind of met in the middle.
Reddish eyes glanced over as she suggested that the two of them follow what turned out to the yelling guy from earlier and his companions, before he frowned and nodded "M'kay, but maybe we should find somewhere to do the superhero thing first and then catch up," a part of him hoping that she would get the reference - because he most certainly would prefer to be following after as Oort rather than Briar–
Just in case there were more people like Mr 'Grey and a Jerk' lurking around.
