Pain. The force of being flung back, the rapture of being caught by... something almost like the feathery embrace of pillows to him; soft, malleable wood, his most beloved texture and feel. Shinsei felt... at ease in the structure his father had created, glad to know that for once, his father had spoken out for him... in more than just the shadows. He recalled the days of yore, when all in the family had looked to him with lowered eyes like ones filled with pity, or sorrow; and his father would hold him gently as he fell asleep, reminding him that regardless of all that he bore, he was still his beloved son.

But never did he protect him before others - never did he raise his voice to bring honor to his firstborn. He pitied him like all the rest, and looked to him with the same solemn eyes.

And now, all of this changed, and so quickly; he protected him, against his mother, the greatest source of shame. He finally acted as a father should. And of course? At the end of that gilded road, one which brought a fulfillment Shinsei had never known, he watched his father die to a kiss from his virulent mother's lips.

And it brought him... a greater pain than one could ever know. The sorrow that he felt in that moment was unlike any before, even the years of dragging his solitude against his form like a gaping wound.

Tears sprung from his eyes. They fell among the rotted floor of the abandoned home, painted over by the falsehood of his mother's dream. To know that she had abandoned such a man to dwell in a cage of her own making... brought an even greater sorrow still.

Right now, he could remember him. Everything... every moment between them. He could see his father looking back at him, with a stern gaze, and then brows relaxed by the shaking feeling of love; and then acknowledgment, followed by a smile. That was how they had always been. Strained, and against one another, until they remembered who the other was. The current, and the future. The legacy of their clan, the two who had wanted to bring their family everything. They were each reflections of the other.

"Father," he whispered beneath his breath, as his voice broke into a shrill cry. He wailed... and sobbed, and shut his eyes tightly as he tried to constrain the flow of tears. Like they were blood, seeping from a gash. But no. They were simply reminders that he had not, ever, managed to kill his emotions, or his love for his family. Or his longing to fix everything that had been broken, starting from today. It had been... such a dim, flickering hope in his heart for so long now, only to be dashed in an instant.

As his eyes opened, and the tears flowed more freely, all became clear. They... were a dark, crimson shade, with a fixture of black that no longer resembled the mere helix of tomoes that encircled the core. It had a patterned, intricate design to it; a circular black ring in the center, surrounded by an outlier of petal-like pillars, six in total, with the upper triangle dashing to the corners of his eyes. Scythe-like swirls erupted at the ends of these pillars, completing a circular motion that chased its own shape like an ouroboros.

He knew that his eyes had awoken. But he didn't care. None of this mattered, and none of this loss was worth it. Power was not why he had come, nor was it ever why he had done anything; all this time, he had simply been chasing a life of longing, with his father and mother before him.

He remembered the lashes. Even by his father - the pain, the intolerance, the things that could have been so much better, and greater, if only they had understood.

Shinsei remembered the stories that he had regaled to the lost, broken band of punks he'd acquired in his motions throughout Uzu, after he so disappointingly left the academy to pursue himself and his 'art'. The whispers of his parents luring men and women alike to their home with notions of kindness, only to flay them living in a bloodied chair. The demonic chanting he would hear from his mother's room, with voices that whispered back.

They had never taught him how to love. Or how to hate. But he had taught himself, and now, with his father gone... maybe it was time to forget the first half.

Right now, for the first time, his mother had taught him how to truly feel an emotion in the deepest section of his heart and soul. Hatred.

He switched to the piercing lens, the one specifically meant to combat genjutsu. And then, as the tears that remained clung deeper into his skin and slowly began to dry, he parted his cracked lips to speak.

"Mother," he spoke to her, his voice echoing through the room. An ominous energy seemed to surround him, as purple-black chakra voided around him, and putrid stalks of trees began to spring all around him, creating rifts in the illusion consuming the floor. "I hope you remember the prayers you used to sing to us so long ago. Now, after everything you've done..." he shook his head, and clenched his fist.

              "Only God can save you."

A crown of brambles formed around his head, though the roots did not penetrate his skin. This was the actualization of his sage mode, as his eyes shifted to a vibrant purple shade, the intricate shape of the Mangekyo still woven onto his irises. From all around him, everything fell apart - the integrity of her false reality would shatter into nothing.

The Great Buddha appeared, ripping through every wall and every layer of ceiling, ascending into the sky like a waking God. "Senpō: Mokuton: Shin Sūsenju," he spoke, late, as hundreds of hands easily the size of skyscrapers shot down at the meager woman. If anything, Shinsei felt, God had already made his judgment.

Senpō: Mokuton: Shin Sūsenju [ Sage Art: Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands ]
              Rank S+
After entering Sage Mode, Hashirama creates a wooden statue of titanic proportions, easily able to dwarf a tailed beast like Kurama. Thousands of hands emanate from the statue's back in countless concentric rows, while its two main hands are clasped as if in prayer. The statue can serve a variety of purposes in battle from fighting on Hashirama's behalf, to defending and even using other techniques with it. ( Must be in Sage Mode to use, the user can expend their sage chakra to make the statue attack or defend with it's many hands up to S rank. Requires S+ damage to be fully destroyed. )

Taylor's eyes widened as the building imploded onto itself. Horus flew through the air as it circled around the giant creation. All of the hands collided and crashed onto the woman and the false Falsa. Both of them should have been destroyed in one go. However, on top of the statue remained the woman. Her right eye turned a horrific shade of white. Her left eye remained focused as she had to use an incredible burst of her power to turn the real world into a genjutsu. It was only through the implant of the shakkugan that she managed to escape. However, the loss of her own eye caused reality to sink back into her world.

"Oh my..." She realized what she had done. She had killed her husband. The only one who had ever loved her through all of her nonsense. Originally she was lost to her powers. But now that she was aware.... It was too much. "OH MY GOD!" Black flames erupted from her eye. The arms of buddha became engulfed in the black flames. They would track their way to Shinsei if he was not careful. Not that it mattered. She was in grief. She was in anguish. She was ready to die.

It looked like, no matter how she cried for him, God had decided not to save her... as the vast structure of the Buddha towered over all of Kara and beyond. The arms weighed heavily in the sky, even stopping the shinobi facing Falsa as they looked to the vast shadow that overlooked them. As they watched the skies, they scarcely noticed the escape of the prison, or the limbo clones or all of the darkness that crept towards them. The Bakuton wielder, helpless and tied down by the chains, was drained of his energy as he withered in the clutches of Mugen. And the man with Jiton?

Ripped through with a black, cutting blade, diced by shuriken, and pierced through by a focused chakra that ripped through his flesh. He... died, and quickly, too. They never really had a chance - there were so many of them, too many to track, with too many variables.

This was not a fight for man. And again, the greater beyond came into this, as the endless black flames danced tirelessly against the wooden surface as the Senju stood upon the skulltop of what the infinite must've looked like; a crown of the sky, shining dark shadows upon all that laid beneath it. God. A brother who held his stature, looking down upon them all. A sister with eyes so profound, and the ability to compel the forces of life and death.

All morale was lost. The Youton wielder, having lost his two dearest friends, simply fell to his knees as the unfocused dissidents of the shuriken horde dashed through his skin and left a dozen painful cuts.

The arm of the buddha lowered onto him, purely by accident, as the structure almost breathed into life with a variable mess of movements. And, like an insect to whom the Gods of this world held no regard, he was crushed into a scrambling mess of broken bones... by that same accident.

              All three lay dead.

              - - -

His mother's heart tore to pieces, whether by fear or regret . . . but none of it meant anything to him. After everything she had done, he... he could no longer feel empathy for her. The olive branch he'd extended had been thrown to the soil and stepped upon, and his father with it. All because of her.

It was easy to kill her, and he couldn't believe that. The fingertips of the buddha clutched her form between their wooden curves, and carried her closer and closer to Shinsei as he swatted the fire with the lightest dusting of the buddha's many other hands. As she drew nearer and nearer, her bones and muscles were further fractured and pressed -- and then, soon enough, there would be nothing.

The sad thing was, he didn't have final words for her. A message of parting. A song to sing to the dying woman who had brought him to life, who had perhaps -- in his own dreams, at least -- loved him for the faintest glimmer of time. He had nothing to say to her, because... he felt only sadness and pity. Like what she used to feel for him.

But now, as the endless structure shaded in the same rotten umber she once detested, covered in cracks that birthed maggots and reservoirs of indigo-colored fungus, brought her to the brink of death... the tables really had turned.

And so he closed his eyes, one more time, this time not to grieve. But to say goodbye.

And then the fingers pressed inward, seeking to meet one another, at the expense of crushing all of her bones and leaving her as a shambled and bloody mess. Her death would be a surprising, bitter shock as blood rushed to escape through her throat. And then, it would be nothing, blackness filling the void once illuminated by life.

              She was dead.

Slowly, the statue receded into the ground, and grand arms became roots, that reeled into the holes in the earth... like the gates of hell being closed before him. He stood over her battered corpse, and he stared quietly, with narrowed brows and an uncertain gaze.

Shinsei sighed. Nothing turned out like he wanted.

"Now then..." he whispered, doing his best to move on from it all. To gain something out of the tragedy before his eyes, as his father still laid not far from the husk of his mother's form.

He opened her eye as widely as he could, and ripped it from her skull, dropping it with a dripping impact into a preservative jar. His mother's final gift.

"I can't believe this is how I say goodbye," he expressed, with some piece of him truly knowing sorrow at the loss. "My father was... killed in an instant, and I--"

              . . .

              . . .

He was tired of being weakened. Already, right now, this was too much for him. The tears he bore... the sadness he felt in that one moment, was enough pain for the whole of a lifetime. He wanted to dwell on it no longer.

"Goodbye, father," he whispered to the man, as roots sprung from the shattered ground and wrapped around him, forming a woven coffin as he was drawn closer to the earth. His face remained open to view the sky, so that Falsa could see him one more time. And their mother...? She... was simply left among the rocks, blood spewing out from her lips, one eye white and one eye gouged. A bloody, messy scene.

... but she deserved - and Shinsei deserved - a final farewell, too.

"And goodbye to you... Akina Sanada. My mother. May both of your souls rest in peace."

The brick was cool underneath his touch. His pointer absent-mindedly traced the outlines of a crack in one of the bricks comprising the wall that he was leaning against. It was a bad habit- fidgeting that is. It was just something he did when he was worried...or bored. His vantage point atop the clocktower was advantageous in that he could see everything, but it left a lot to be desired when it came to the juicy details. Akina would die, that much had been obvious from the get-go. He just wish he could have been down there to get the real story. He adjusted the spyglass that he held to his eye, pulling focus and shifting his attention to Falsa. She was just as described- the perfumed princess of punishment. Eerily similar to that Sun B*stard in the Stormlands but heaps more lethal. The wild card of the situation was the blonde. He didn't know a damn thing about him and for someone in his line of work that was cause for concern. He sketched some notes down in his journal as he observed, grinning all the while.

That grin vanished when he saw the coffin of Saga being lowered into the ground. Now that? THAT wasn't the plan. He ran his fingers through his shoulder-length black hair and huffed out a grunt of annoyance. Everything had been going so smoothly up to this point so far; all the little chess pieces were moving into play and then Saga had to go and call an audible at the last moment.

'F*ck it.' He thought to himself, collapsing the spyglass and setting his naked eye upon the trio 'Guess we're shaking things up today'

As the spontaneous vigil was held the black-clad man approached the trio, a look of dread and worry upon an otherwise harmless face. His gaze shifted between that of Saga's lifeless face, Akina's mutilated one, and the visage of Shinsei encased in sorrow "Saga!" He cried out, a primal amount of pain laced deep in the one word "No no no no!!" He yelled out as he dropped to a knee, wrapping two arms around his chest as his body began to be wracked by sobs. He managed to look back up once more, staring at the man's face as tears impacted the ground. Finally, after slowly composing himself, he searched the faces of the murderers for a hint of remorse "How?! How could you do this?!"

Unshakeable battle focus was rattled, noise and pwoer in heavy volumes had stolen the attention of one of Falsa's paths. Ever curious, Vivi was on the move first, clearing the area as the rest of her cabal finished what ever their work they could. Amid the process of finishing off her targets the act of her brother creating his massive Buddah statue had stolen one of her kills just as well. Finished, and so easily. Even without Shinsei's help she would have broken not a single sweat further by the time she finished the battle. With her chakra stores now refilled and her sudden bloodlust sated, she turned towards where the statue had risen.

Words had reached her ears long after they had been spoken. Only god can save you. Falsa smirked through her entire hive mind, through each of them. What was amusing about her mother losing her mind? Nothing. What amused her was that Shinsei imagined god cared for the woman further.

She had long since abandoned her mother and had no intention of coming back for her now. It was dreadful, this entire thing. For her, she always felt so disconnected from these things. Her father and mother were instrumental in shaping who she was, this was true, but why did she need them any further? She needed Shinsei because the loss of Mugen had reminded her just how much she loved her brother. The only person she ever had loved besides her small piece of infinity. He needed to live, and she, more than she ever really gave thought, needed him to survive. But Saga? Akina? Her bond with them was severed long ago. Before she went crazy. Before her mind was lost and she, apparently, snuffed out their father. A handseal, and then the king of hell statue rose from the ground, claiming the bodies of all three she had felled into his maw, chewing as it receded into the deep lavender abyss that he, Enma, had been beckoned from.

And then she stood beside her brother in a blur of ninja motion. She rested a hand on his back, looking over the fallen corpses of the ones who had raised her. Her entourage stood father off as she looked at him, seeing the dreadful form that had become her older brother's face, wiping away tears as best she could, not doing a good job of pretending the corpses bothered her at all. "Brother. I... I am so sorry. I cannot fathom of the pain you are wracked with right now." In a genuine moment of emotional showing, she wrapped her arms around his mid back, burying her face in his chest to give him something of comfort. When a few moments passed, she let him go, looking up at him and offering warmth in the form of a smile.

She said nothing over Saga's corpse as he was lowered into the ground. Instead, she had merely adorned his makeshift coffin with black chakra rods and chains, ensuring it would remain closed and ward off foreign chakra, at least for a time. She sighed, as with her shared view, she became aware of someone else present, approaching with his face twisted into something of despair. Her mouth was fixed to speak, but the man ebgan to lose his marbles with sadness. "Um. Sorry, friend, but... who are you again?" As she inquired, an eyebrow rose and her bodyguards approached quickly too.

              "Outer"
              "Deva"
              "Human"
              "Naraka"

Horus circled around the statue as it slowly returned to the ground. The battle was finished. Taylor was stunned at the levels of power which were displayed from Shinsei. He wondered if the three VOID members who cornered the two of them back at that cabin in the woods would have the collective power between them to stop what he just saw. It seemed less like ninjutsu and more like magic. Huh, that thought felt familiar to him. There was no time for getting lost in his thoughts, however, as Shinsei's face brought pain to the poor boy's soul.

"Shinsei... I'm..." He trailed on. There were no words to assist the man. Taylor had no memories of his mother or father, so he had nothing to feel bad about. But to see both of them, and then to watch them die? There was nothing for it. Instead, Taylor moved over to Shinsei and traced his hand along the man's arm. It was a gentle action, meant to establish familiarity and support. His fingers touched Shinsei's when his hand went that far down. He wanted to make some sort of connection with his friend. His friend?

Taylor's mind became alarmed when the new man started shouting. "Horus!" He called out as the bird flew over and landed beside him. Taylor brought his hand away from Shinsei and slid it under his shoulder so that it pressed against his skin. His fingers molded with his body as he reached into his shoulder and pulled out a sword of bone. When the bone blade was retrieved he brought it down. The man showed made no threats, but he appeared hysterical. If he turned out to be a threat than Taylor may possibly be the only one at the moment capable of combating him at full strength. He had no idea how much chakra Falsa and her friends used in their fight, but he knew from how Shinsei acted that his mind was not cleared from the ordeal yet. If a fight broke out, then Taylor was ready to protect Shinsei at all cost.

The people around him treated him with such kindness. It brought... a sense of joy to him - even him, as hollow as he was, and as little emotion as his soul could often mount. In this moment, even the shallow figure of a man that he was, could feel the immensity of loss. Perhaps the greatest anguish was of the emptying of their futures, and the banishment of dreams. Like that, those memories became ethereal hauntings, lost to his mind without a bitter sorrow attached.

But Falsa understood - though she did not carry the same love for them - and so did Taylor. They comforted him, his sister holding him, and the source of his affection holding softly onto his arm, and protecting him from... the sudden insurgent.

Who, quickly, set off his final nerve.

"Do what?" the shinobi asked. "I didn't do anything. My... mother killed him, and then I--"

The Senju paused, biting his lower lip. "You know what? ******** off. I don't know who you are, but Falsa and I were their children. You don't have the right to point fingers at us when we're the ones facing loss." Shinsei was, certainly, hostile. He had no interest in learning who Reiji was in relation to his father. Instead, he questioned the narcissism required to make such a loss so utterly theatrical.

He managed to quiet his sobs and dry his tears on his shirt sleeve before rising, shakily, to meet the gaze of Falsa who he chose to address first "M-my name is Reiji. I am...was a friend of Saga" As he shifted his gaze to Shinsei, Reiji's eyes seemed to grow wide in understanding of the situation "Akina?!...Saga always said she would...well,...I guess he was right" Reiji looked to the ground where Saga disappeared and muttered quietly to himself, akin to a person saying goodbye to close friend.

At this point he squared his shoulders and spoke with the group "You must be Falsa and Shinsei. I've heard...a lot about you two. I always thought I would meet you, although I figured it would be over dealing with Kogarashi or the Sons or something" He spoke in a very non-threatening demeanor and combined with the look of awkward naivete he exuded, one would find it easy to like the obsidian headed rogue. He usually counted on it in fact.

It was at this point the light faded from the sky- the sun seemingly eclipsed before being replaced by nothing else than a blood red moon. Reiji looked up, staring at the celestial body and seemingly transfixed in awe

'Those f*cking fools are at it again'

Whatever this new kid had opened his mouth to say had rolled in one ear and poked it's way out the other. It wasn't that he hadn't listened or whatever... much the opposite in fact. His assertion that he was a friend of her father's made her narrow her eyes a bit. In all her years, she'd never heard mention of him before, and for him to react such as he did wasn't exactly inappropriate for someone losing a friend in the time since she hadn't been in his presence. Still, she was half tempted to have Jaeng-i test his honestly and rip out his soul. Stranger still was him knowing what HER name was... especially if it turned out he wasn't who he claimed to be.

The girl sighed at the mention of the Kogarashi. When it came to the Sons... she didn't know what to make of that at all. All she did know was this dude struck her as odd, at best. If he was lying... well she'd found her Naraka path after all.

At any rate, however, most of that went in one ear and completely rolled out the other one because of what happened in the sky. Her eyes locked onto the sudden eclipse, which isn't exactly what you are SUPPOSED to do during an eclipse, but the sudden red color fascinated her to the point she was enamored. To the point where she couldn't rightly look away. And it was at the point where anyone would notice her empty, blank stare that she would begin to pant heavily, falling to her knees as a sudden fire encompassed the whole of her being from soul to body, heart to throat. Her eyes burned into a knew shade of red, and her hair turned pale and long instead of green and black. Falsa had turned into something else, and where once stood her thralls now flew bats the size of basketballs.

When she rose, it was not as Falsa, but as something else entirely... something wicked and ghastly that stared down Reiji with a violent look in her eyes. "Now how on earth did I end up here..." she aimlessly wondered running a tongue over sharp, fanged teeth as if sizing up a meal suddenly.

His thoughts were suddenly distracted. Reiji was... impassioned, speaking of Saga and Akina, and then their two children. But many of his words were thinned into mere buzzing - they sounded as an air-like hum that ran seamlessly through his ears, as a much more prevalent feeling overcame him. His nostrils twitched and his mouth slightly parted, as the scent of a sweetly compelling ichor flowed through him. The scent was like a taste, and the compulsion was overwhelming. The blood of his mother, the blood still dormant within his father's sleeping form, called to him. He could hear almost a whisper within the crimson, a longing yawn from deep within his own mind.

His teeth - all of them - jutted, sharpened as they nearly ripped through the tongue that laid beyond his lips. His entire body felt engorged, and his eyes deepened a shade, a burgundy color tinting his typically brownish black eyes. The blood moon lingered above, radiating a thirst that could not be overcome.

The voices continued into ambiance. His hunger became more profound, but he realized that the hearts that remained beating were far more desirable to the fangs that now dug into his lips. And no scent was sweeter - and no desire of his stronger - than that of Taylor's blood, which seemed to sleep against his neck, and pulse through his wrists. It was almost as if he could see every vein in his body, so keen was his sense of the boy's blood.

Shinsei ignored Reiji. He ignored Falsa, not even noticing the alterations of her shape. Instead, he stepped straight towards Taylor with a desiring look upon his eyes, and a frantic hunger. And then, lunging his open mouth forward, he sought to dig his teeth into the cursed boy -- drinking from the one he so desired.

Taylor listened intently to what the man said. His grief seemed genuine enough. However, the boy also paid attention to how Shinsei and Falsa both seemed to express contempt for them. Taylor wondered why they both felt that way. The parents were estranged from their children, so it made sense that neither of them knew what friends the two had. However, Taylor recognized that they were probably both still in grief. Perhaps this control over the information is what they needed to cope at the moment. Regardless, the man did not pose a threat.

When the sky went dark, however, Taylor screamed out in pain. He dropped his sword as curse markings covered his body. “My moment has come.” A voice as loud as thunder commanded within the boys very soul. Taylor’s head jerked upward as his gaping mouth of agony had fangs the size of daggers erupt from his canines. A screech of pain echoed through and out of his body as bloody, monstrous wings stretched from his back. His heterochromatic eyes both became blood red in color. “I have you now, Taylor. Now it is time to unlock the final seal.”

Taylor’s body started to morph. His entire frame became muscular and taller. His head gained sharper features as his fingers became long and horrific. However, as the tattoos started to fade into the body, the primal conversion halted, and Taylor forced himself into his usual form, in addition to the vampire aesthetic. His clothing tore from the segments which expanded. His breathing was heavy and his screams halted. “Horus. Everyone. Run.” Taylor folded himself inward as the bird inquisitively looked at the boy. Taylor then snapped back as the expansion occurred once more. “EVERYBODY RUN NOW!” He shouted as the markings started to constrict his neck. His curse mark wanted control, and the power of this strange moon was amplifying it’s power. However, Taylor was not ready to cave yet. He was not about to let this monster win without a fight.

If the change scared Reiji, he didn't show it. In fact, the stranger didn't even see surprised! He just shifted his weight awkwardly as he stared up at the moon. By the time he returned his gaze to the trio, his tears had completely dried. Shinsei had morphed into the ravenous creature he truly was on the inside- Taylor, a reflection of the monster he secretly believed himself to be. No, only Falsa intrigued him. She, at least, remained able to control herself...for now.

It was shocking to see how well their plan had worked out. These three high-level shinobi had been laid incredibly low with the technique. Still, it wasn't going to succeed. The Monk was much too obnoxious and short-sighted in his methodology, and his love of the Sun Child made him easy to control. Arashigakure would be saved rather quickly...but Uzu? They may need a helping hand. Reiji crossed his arms over his chest and rested his weight on his back foot "Well, speak of the Devil and he shall appear, eh?" With a deep sigh, he continued "Looks like we gotta fix this problem too" He glanced over his shoulder, letting one obscured eye peer back at the clock tower for a moment before returning his gaze back to the group, a small smile on himself "You guys will need to calm down first"

Reiji had clearly never heard the first rule of calming down irate women, especially ones that looked bloodthirsty: Do not tell them to calm down. She giggled a little bit. She ignored both Shinsei's attack and Taylor's primal reversion as the bats seemed to all fly erractically around her head, just thirty feet above ground. She pointed at him and spoke in a hushed tone. "How about you just drop dead, lovely... H O K E T S U." The very next second, there was a bullet, minisucle and barely visible, rocketing towards Reiji while Falsa herself leaped to be carried into the air by her bats.

Will not give someone more than maximum Chakra, and any excess is dispersed into the atmosphere. If only one person is in the blast radius, that person loses [ 40 ] Chakra.

His fangs were repelled by the jutting expansion of wings, smashing into the lunge of his maw with incredible alacrity and force. Immediately, his teeth were severed and cracked, losing one of his lacerating canines in the process - blood pooling at his lips as he glared at Taylor with a hunger that quickly receded. Perhaps it was the taste of his own iron that set his mind back to a state of clarity, or perhaps it was the winged rejection of his predation.

He did not know, but, he was calm. Very much so. Calm enough to contemplate the source of this madness - the thing that brought on such an onset of hunger. His first assumption was genjutsu, and it remained his thought for the remainder of the encounter.

"Falsa," he called to his sister. "There is no need to engage with this man. He means nothing - he's a remnant of our family long gone." The man looked to Taylor, as he disappeared in a flash - reappearing by his sister's side. Shinsei frowned. "Reiji," he remembered his name. The ground erupted with roots, appearing almost like slimy tentacles, laced in the water of the brine. They bore mouths with fangs, drooling a viscous liquid as they rattled in starvation. The blighted thicket had been infested with hunger.

"I don't know your intentions of approaching us, or what you appear to know, but my sister and I tire of outside machinations. I think it would be beneficial for us - all of us - if we went our separate ways. You agree with me, right?" he asked. "You may have known my father, but you don't know me. I... am stronger than any shinobi you will find among the nations of today. Strong enough to destroy this city - this country - in a flicker of time. So unless you desire to be serrated against our fangs, I suggest you leave us." He stared expressionlessly. His mind was saturated in obligation, as he looked to Taylor. Clearly, Shinsei was not running - he had every intention to contain the vile thing that sought to emerge from his 'friend'. But Reiji was a risk that needed to be removed before he could safely approach Taylor, and he was not about to lose a third family member; Falsa needed to be protected.

Taylor. Falsa. He would compel them both to obedience - but not with his back turned to the wroth of a potential foe.

There was no sense in Taylor any longer. Only the beast resided now. His wings flapped in unison as he took off from the ground. His shadow extended over the ground. He flew off. His hunger was insatiable. He needed to find someone pure. That’s what his primal senses were screaming at him to uncover. Someone who has not been converted by the moon.
