"Hungry..." Niko saw the man take his stance and was standing roughly around five or so feet away. She looked over the two new comers very closely. She sensed something was off. Unknowingly, she activated her sharingan. She saw the chakra strings and grew a disgusted look. "I need blood..." The blood sword she was holding slowly liquified and splattered all over the roof. Blood dripped down as she grabbed the Yamakagashi from her side. With a sinister laugh and a twisted fanged smile, Niko infused it with chakra and the dreaded whipblade fell down. Soon after, the blade ran with red lightning. "I NEED BLOOD!" She launched the bladed-whip at the man ignoring the puppets altogether. The electrified red whipblade coiled around him until it was wrapped in a loose circle. Seemingly caught, Niko pulled the whipblade in attempt to cut and constrict the man with that same twisted smile.
"You're mine!"

Technique Used: Renzu Utsusu [Lense Change] Rank E (Piercing: Can view chakra as a dull, but still colorful, glow. Genjutsu defense against genjutsu with the primary sense being vision is considered a rank higher. Does not stack with other defense boosts.)
Extended Lightning :: Rank - C :: Spiritual This technique increases the flow between the user and the weapon without the use of hand seals. Their white (red in her case) electrical chakra forms an additional foot long length to whatever bladed weapon they wield (bladed whip). Wounds inflicted by this chakra length of blade suffer electrical burns and paralysis in the limb impacted by the technique for 2 posts.
Chouda [ Long Snake ] Rank: B :: Complex Description: The user lashes out at an opponent with the whip and runs Chakra along its length. Should the whip come within half a meter of the target, the Chakra will pull it toward the enemy and cause it to coil around them. This technique holds the opponent for one post per rank, or until the opponent breaks free using a technique at this technique's rank or higher.
Disappointed, and somewhat saddened, Niko wrapped the man tight and electrocuted him. Soon after, the puppets fell to the floor of the roof. With the whip still attached to the man, Niko grabbed two kunai in her free hand and launched them off with her signature trick shot. The red lightning kunai pierced the man in the neck and heart causing him to fall to the ground and slowly bleed out. Niko retracted the Yamakagashi with a disgusted look and didn't even bother with the man after. Her appetite was curved and there was a taste in her mouth that made her sick to her stomach. "Bad blood..." She didn't even care if the man was dead.
Niko dropped down from the roof. The red moon was now gone for her, so she returned to her original form. Her memories gone until the next red moon. She was more than sure before she forgot however; that man was capable of much, much more. There was no way that was the end of him. Then, it was all gone. "Hisashi? Did something happen?" Hisashi walked over to her. "Huh? Oh well... You jumped up to the roof, and then kinda just jumped back down. I don't know why but..." Hisashi looked over Niko and noticed her hand. "Actually, you know what? You did something stupid. I hate when you do stupid things." He then grabbed Niko by her arm and started to pull.
"Stop being stupid."

Technique Used: Twin Aces :: Rank: B :: Complex (PA Raijin's Blade) :: Rank A Speed Description: The user will begin by placing two of their projectiles between their fingers, followed by a quick insertion of chakra to their hand. They will then wave out their hand, releasing their grip on both projectiles, resulting in a trick shot with their normal focus and aim. Both projectiles gain a slight boost to speed per rank. Medium projectile weapons instead gain a slight boost to strength per rank.
Niko and Hisashi made their way to a job board outside the college. There on it, they found quite a few jobs but one really stuck out to Niko. If there was anything that Niko loved liked she did Hisashi, it would have been weapons. This job specifically was called supply counting. Niko took down the flyer and brought it to the front desk. "Is this job still available?" The lady at the front desk smiled and showed Niko where'd she'd be going and what she'd be doing.
"Two, four, six, eight..." Niko counted aloud as she sorted through kunai. She didn't expect them to have as many kinds as they did. There were single point kunai, dual tipped, and even tri bladed kunai. Some hade loop guards, some had handles. She made sure that they were all supposed to go in the same place. Hisashi began walking around the room in wait. "You know it'd go faster if I help you..." It was clear he was trying to get her to use the man beast clone, but Niko wasn't going for it. "No. You're on punishment." Hisashi's head fell in shame and he lamented in boredom.
Niko moved on from the kunai and went to the shuriken. Now Niko did train in ways to throw a projectile, but she was terrible with shuriken. Maybe it was the design? Maybe it was her release? She could never tell, so she just settled for kunai. She was informed, but less informed as she was with other projectiles. She herself wished that she was better with them but even with training and practice she wouldn't get any better. "Oh you throwing stars you..." Niko moved on to the next set of weapons, while Hisashi continued to mope around.
She moved on to senbon, something she was really good with. Ever since becoming the toothpick spitting champion (try and take that title it I dare you), Niko kept around five small senbon hidden in her mouth at all times. It was definitely awkward at first, but she got used to it more and more and now it felt strange without them. She was always prepared to spit them out if necessary. As she counted away, Hisashi was in beginning to find ways to entertain himself. He was intrigued by a set of katanas on the wall. Now Hisashi was a large wolf, so you know where this is going...
Niko had made it to the large projectiles when she heard a loud crash behind her. She turned around to see a innocent looking Hisashi with two swords in his mouth surrounded by heap of weapons on the floor. Niko let out a long drawn out sigh. Hisashi walked up and dropped the katanas. "Look Niko! Now you'll REALLY be ZelenΓ‘ again!" Niko said nothing. She took her hand and pointed it at Hisashi. Then she pointed at the ground next to her. Her face was screaming "GET OVER THE **** HERE AND DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE!" Hisashi, saddened, made his way over to her in a slight bit of fear. Niko would go on to finish counting and to clean the mess left by Hisashi. When she did, she looked over the katanas. They were pretty and for some reason reminded her of Itsuki and her other former rival named Soon-ae.
Niko returned to the front desk and gave her the inventory list. "Wow. I'm impressed. You did that very fast." It was then she noticed the katanas in Niko's hands. "Have you taken a liking to those? You can have them if you'd like, as payment for helping. I have a bit more for you to do if you plan on taking them both." Niko nodded as they made their way to another room.
This room was filled with medium to large sized weapons. Most of them swords, but there were a great deal of other ones as well. From great axes to windmill shuriken, there was something to tickle anyone's fancy. Niko started with the swords. Altogether she counted about one hundred most of which she sub categorized and made easy to find.
She worked her way to the large projectiles. Again, she could probably launch these with great precision but she was unfamiliar with them. She thought it was interesting though. All these weapons were just sitting her waiting to be learned. Then it hit Niko. She understood something that she never did before. Weapons were definitely interesting, meaning that even though they're specifically for killing, there could still be beauty in them. After her count of those were finished, she moved to the larger weapons.
Out of every weapon that Niko counted, the one that stood out to her the most was the nodachi. It was just a beautiful blade. She would take a moment to hold it and look it over. It was sad that this weapon wasn't anywhere near as viable as it should have been. The sword itself may have been difficult to master but in doing so, they could cut foes down at great lengths. In short, the sword is one she believed was worth training and learning how to use. Since it's decline was so heavy, most people wouldn't know how to defend against it. It was a perfect surprise to say the least.
Finally, Niko was on to the paper tags and explosives. She also counted poisons and other gasses as well as wire. Niko was unaware of just how useful these could all be until today. Just looking at those pieces alone, she came up with a couple of different strategies to defeat her opponents. Niko would continue to count happily, knowing she had done something productive today.
When she was finished, Niko walked back to the front desk. She handed the lady the inventory sheet. "Oh thank you so much! We really appreciate the help today. And the fact that you only want those swords is great too! Not to sound cheap or anything, but when we can save money, it's always a good thing!" Niko nodded with a smile, bowed, and was on her way. Her and Hisashi seemed proud as they planned their next move.
"Alright! You got some new swords, you're pulling out ZelenΓ‘ again, we're about to get some steak..." Hisashi threw that in just to see Niko's reaction. It was as he expected. A quick head shake followed by a stern no and no reason as to why. "...Or not... Well anyway, at least your smiling a lot today. You were becoming kind of... how do i put this... eh." Niko stopped and looked at him. "What do you mean eh?" Hisashi kept walking and gave her the same response she gave him. "Hisashi what do you mean?" Again, he kept on walking with a smile.
The place of learning and books wasn't the first place Zahara was often found, rather he preferred lingering at the dojo or a fight club. Yet it was a gut feeling from the lingering crisis of the abnormal blood moon that sparked a sense of curiosity and concern. During the chaos and mayhem of the unfaithful night, he battled with an inner demon of his own making from a foreign chakra. His inner persona had taken root with the festering inner desires that were once locked away but were dragged into light when he was infested. Two people were dead because of him, because he wasn't strong enough to hold back his demons from taking root while guilt and shame lingered even now. What bothered him most was the vision in his mind, the personal conversation he had with himself. While under the effects of another's genjutsu, the residual effects of the alien chakra was even more apparent while his alter ego reigned supreme. The moon was there, in the recess of his mind under the guise of himself with red eyes and fangs. They had exchanged verbal threats with themself before Zahara 'broke' the illusion and woke with the moon remaining burned into memory.
Zahara walked up the steps to the college with a rucksack of books slung over one shoulder while his cloak draped over it and his left side. There were others here, still other citizens seemed weary of one another while some shinobi were on guard, more alert than usual. No kidding, everyone had gone insane for a night with supernatural creatures and cannibalistic vampire ninja tearing the village apart. He would harbor similar feelings were he not hardened from the events of his self exile few years ago from the Leaf after the internal strife with the Hyuuga. He passed on a woman who avoided eye contact with him as he continued on but turned for a second to see that she looked like the one he confronted the other night. For a moment he stopped, guilt creeping up on him before he realized it wasn't her. I hope that one woman is alright. He thought to himself as he moved on, readjusting the rucksack as he went.
Through the lobby he inquired at the front desk for the library, giving his credentials to the secretary to get a pass for the day. "Zahara, genin second grade." He confirmed as the secretary went through the files for records, taking their time until he spoke up. "Hyuuga-Yamanaka blood, last name Kevali" His impatience was getting the better of him as he leaned on the desk with a hint of impatience in his voice. Soon the matter was resolved with a few double checks and an acquisition form for any potential books or scrolls to check out.
Finally in the library Zahara took a small table away from any student that may have been studying as he dropped the sack on the table along with his things. He had a seat for a good few minutes to contemplate what exactly he was looking for as he unraveled a scroll and began taking notes from his memory.
'The night everyone went insane is all but a haze in a lot of places. I remember an aching feeling and hunger that drove my mind to madness, eyes red as fire and teeth keen as a dagger's point with strange chakra coursing my veins. I am used to seeing the chakra of a shinobi and those who practice ninjutsu arts, it's a signature to each person with a certain... feel to it. A sensory specialist would be likely to agree with me, otherwise how else would those bloodhounds tell the difference between another. I remember seeing chakra not just in me, but everyone around me with the same taint, an angry form lurking within each of us, controlling us. Some more than others, and I was one of the controlled. I failed my village and kage that night by succumbing to carnal desire that I still am haunted by, cured of the wretched curse I may be but the hunger is there. Blood. It was warm, to hunt was thrilling, never had I felt so alive before just like the night of the hyuuga conflict. All the years I was alone, I relived feelings I thought were dorment. Yet I know of three possible sources that I deduce that could've been the cause of the madness in us all. Once had I seen nature chakra, it's feel is different and alien yet so keen on my lone experience with it... it would kill me if I were to take it in me like a poison. A curse mark bearer was the man, the same doctor who helped me recover from near death when I lost my arm. The moon was eerily red that night as well, the sky a crimson hue words could scarcely describe and then the vision of it in my mind. Yet I cannot base research on vision, or else I call this a dead end here and now. Something unnatural, something tainted us all that night and there's a connection that I fail to see. I will take this day to read on research of lunar cycles, chakra and philosophy. My father may have had his flaws but his lessons stick true, when lost along the way, guidance in philosophy would never hurt to try.'
Zahara closed the journal as he clicked it close with the leather strap and its brass clamp. Chakra vented from his body then as he did a single clap and stood from the seat. With a wave of the hand a swirl of energy materialized as a clone was made into existence, a perfect copy of himself just opposite of the table. Instruction was given there as he and the clone tasked each other to gather books of varying subjects. History recordings, poems, mythology and philosophy as well as chakra theories and sciences of the Ninshuu religion. Just holding a religious text sent a shiver down his spine when he looked upon the spine of the book and as salt in the wound the publisher mark was a rooster crowing at the base of the spine as he glared at it with narrowed eyes. <******** you. He cursed in his head, shoving the book back onto the shelf with a bit of force as he'd opted for another Ninshuu text without the same publisher.
Upon reading the first person account, a small book would fall off of the shelf. It was an aged book, and itβs cover had the title, βMask of Uzushiogakure: The Meaning of the Whirlpoolβ. Itβs contents included multiple articles from Uzu history which blended fact and fiction, history and mythology. Itβs pages would tell about the famed religion of Uzu: The Nakaborous of flowing life. It also had mentions of the origins of the Uzushiogakure mask, as well as the stagnant entity of decay. Zahara, should he pick it up, would gain great insight about the alleged history of the village. There may even be something about the red moon in the villages lore. However, Zahara would fell a sudden increase in tension. An anbu shinobi stood at the end of the aisle the boy was placed in. βZahara Kavili. You are to be escorted to the Uzukage with urgency.β He said sternly. Two other anbu were positioned within the library. If Zahara ran than they would pursue.

Zahara Half-Blood Hyuuga
... I am the Flame of the North ...
Zahara and the clone went through the aisle one by one, books of interest were kept in a satchel on his person, others were delivered to the table with the rest of his things. The texts he acquired were random at best, a few religious texts of the Ninshuu. One book was 101 Ways to Cook Chicken, Bake, Broil and Fry which made the lad smirk ever so slightly. The new weapon against the clucking menace he thought, grabbing it and making note to check it out later when he was making dinner.
Fate seemed to have it with him then as the clone approached Zahara with a smaller book in hand and passed it to him. Examining it, it was small and relatively aged compared to the rest of the texts he was looking through. "Dismissed." He said as the shadow clone faded out of existence as he was left alone. Leaning back onto one of the book shelves, Zahara started to look more into this strange book starting with the title. No art, no fancy script, just its title more specifically a mask and "Meaning of the Whirlpool."
"Mask of Uzishiogakure... eh? Sounds contrived." He said quietly to himself, now thumbing through the pages. He made note of a few key passages within it that kept interest and he kept briefly looked through the whole book at different portions for a quick read before returning to his things.
'Nakaborous, the flowing life and the unending serpent god.' The passage of the village's religion went in detail that Zahara read between the lines of, his fingers clenching hard on the cover. Religion, it was always religion that came up when he didn't want it to. He attributed the connection of the name of the village to a bit of symbolism, yet he was unsure if it were intentional or not.
He closed the book with a heavy sigh and held it against his forehead, fingers still digging into the cover with a shaky breath. Continuing, Zahara skimmed more articles and passages with quick glances for keywords he kept in his mind, looking for information on anything related to chakra and nature with now religion tossed into his mental priority of considering the aspects of the mystical nature of chakra a good tie to such events that night. He learned a bit of what he was searching for, noting passages with symbols in the margins and folding specific pages for later return and he closed the book, pocketing it in his jacket as he noted more things in his journal.
'Nakaborous. Mask. Moon. Decay. I've kept an interest on the village's religion while mention of a mask in this recent book my clone found. It's hogwash mostly, yet all religion and fiction has its basis in reality. This much I know, I've not made progress on initial key topics but new ones came up. Further reading will be required, text is old. ' He finished writing as he clasped his journal with a snap, buckling its strap again as he put it away to return to his table for proper research.
When he turned he saw a masked man which only curtailed a few meanings. This will be interesting. A Shinobi most definitely as Zahara gave a quick observation, tempted to use his byakugan to scan the area yet abstained. He walked for a moment toward his direction but stopped when he realized the masked one would not move and then he said he was to meet with the Uzukage. Not meet, escorted with urgency.
He didn't say anything at first as he shifted weight to one foot and then to the other. "Am I inclined to know the reason?" Zahara took another step, curious mostly. "I'd prefer with someone with a face I can see" He said, pointing to his own face to reference their mask. "But so be it, just need my things from the table."
"Will this face suffice?" Her disguise broke from a typical civilian the moment Zahara showed hesitation. She stood from her seat and faced her former pupil. "It is nice to see you again, Zahara." She said gently. Despite her kind words, however, there was a cold justice in her tone. "As Uzukage, I am responsible for charging and sentencing all ninja who disregard the shinobi code and break the law. It is for that reason that I need to discuss the two people that, in your fit of vampiric rage, you murdered." Chie did not know if the man knew of her village leader status. This was the first time that she had seen him in five years. She did not even know that he was alive. It was for this reason that, when her anbu fed her a report about Zahara being responsible for the death of two Uzu citizens, that Chie had to personally observe it and see if it were true. Chie did see his feral rage when they were all genin, so it was not out of the scope of her understanding to be blind to this possibility.
_______________ βOut Of Contextβ Β―Β―Β―Β―Β―Β―Β―Β―Β―Β―Β―Β―Β―Β―Β― Time to face the music!
_β [ Rank ] Shadow Clone ____β At the Academy _β [ Rank ] Shadow Clone ____β At the office _β [ Rank ] ____β
All jutsu learned are available to teach.
PassiveEffects: _β Korabo S-ranked ___β Able to use Korabo up to A-ranked with herself. _β Electric Resistance Training ___β Negates harm from own lightning ninjutsu _β Ninjutsu Alchemy ___β This technique allows Chie to passively Korabo two jutsu together. The limitations of this are as such. First of all, the technique works passively only up to one rank below Chie's current Korabo level. This means that if Chie's Korabo level is A-ranked then it can only be used at a B-ranked potential, which means that Chie can only Korabo two B-ranked techniques to use the korabo skill at A-ranked. This assures that this benefit does not allow the user to passively perform techniques one rank higher than they can usually. Second of all, this technique only applies when Chie korabo's with herself. If she korabos with an ally or a clone then this benefit is non-applicable. Finally, an additional charge of 10 chakra per rank of the final product technique is required to be paid. So if the user Korabo two B-ranked techniques, (the user must also pay for each individual skill), then the final technique would be an A-ranked skill, and thus would cost 50 more chakra to perform this way. Overall this technique's only purpose is to make Chie more cool by utilizing all of her elements and having them combine into super cool ways like a wizard should. _β Hidden Mist Vision ___β Sees clearly during hidden mist technique, or mist in general. _β Fire Resistance Training ___β Negates harm from own fire ninjutsu _β True Belief ___β The user has meditated and trained long enough in this monk art to understand how important true belief is. By understanding the power of the spirit over the mind, and the mind over the body, the user has increased their stamina by sheer will power alone, as well as increased their toughness and durability. Increases Stamina by +25 for every style mastered. _β Enlightenment ___β Meditation and spiritual exploration and understand yields interesting results. Due to the greater understanding of the self, the user is more aware of the connection between their mind, body and spirit, and how to utilize that connection. The user is now slightly more skilled at just about everything. Striking, blocking, moving, absorbing, and taking damage. The user's strength and fortitude is increased heavily. _β Impact Resistance ___β The user acclimates to using the cestus in a battle setting by pounding away at a training dummy with the cestus. By analyzing the feedback of different forms of strikes, the user finds a way to minimize any damage they may take from their own strikes. Upon completing this training, the user suffers no recoil damage from techniques from any non-Rigorous Taijutsu or Bukijutsu Style up to either the highest trained rank in this Style or the highest trained rank in the Hard Physical Formless Style, whichever is lower, and does not suffer damage from striking anything harder than their fists. _β Focal Point ___β The user meditates through combat, taking time to narrow their focus to their Chakra pathways. In so doing, they become innately aware of when they are being observed in combat, and can pinpoint the locations of anyone below their rank observing them within one meter. _β Thread Walking ___β By using Chakra to focus the mind, the user becomes able to balance enough on thin platforms to use Bukijutsu techniques without any penalties. Covers only balancing on solid structures at least one inch wide, not moving or unstable structures. Also allows the user to balance and move on wires during its activation. _β Advanced Thread Walking ___β he user is now able to both run and fight while balancing on threads and wires without penalties, though doing these things at the same time is widely regarded as infeasible. _β Blessed Rain ___β The user's informed of the incoming costs of what is to come, and as such, must practice their chakra control through controlled bursts from various parts of their body. Their chakra pool is increased by +35. _β Insight Rain ___β The user will practice extending themselves into the atmosphere, in a sense. After much dedication, the user develops the ability to sense hostile intent in the immediate area. As to where, however, they cannot be sure. _β Torrential Blessings ___β Having completed all that the user may learn, they have but one task left to complete: the user must practice controlling the flow of chakra, and be sure that their control is the finest that it can be. By doing so, they must repeat the exercise performed earlier with Blessed Rain, all the while, they perform technique to the brink of exhaustion. This training receives no reductions. Chakra pool is increased by +65. _β The Task of the Next Generation ___β Upon the master of the school of Shigure Souen Ryu, it's the user's responsibility to develop the next generation! The user is granted one [1] custom slot usable only for a personal Shigure Souen technique. _β Basic Endurance Training ___β The user practices holding any stances they know in the most extreme weather of their region, as far from anyone else as is practical. After completing practice, the Stamina costs of X-Rank techniques in this Style are reduced by 5, down to a minimum cost of 5. _β Extreme Climate Resistance Training ___β The user spends a great deal of time completely immersed in the most intense weather the region has to offer. Following this training, the user does not suffer from adverse climate effects. Additionally, using one or more of the Pi, Qua, and Quan techniques in any combination increases the user's fortitude slightly for one post, to a max of one [1] descriptive rank per trained level in the Soft Physical Formless Style. _β Advanced Endurance Training ___β The user practices holding any stances they know in the most extreme weather of their region, as far from anyone else as is practical. After completing practice, the Stamina costs of techniques in this Style are reduced by half if the practitioner has used the same technique at some point in the last two posts. _β Pi Qua ___β By repeating the transition between the Pi and Qua techniques repeatedly, the user becomes able to perform them quickly enough that starting with one and transitioning into the other only consumes one action for the post, and also cannot be interrupted if the first hits. _β Pi Qua Quan ___β After learning all other techniques in this Style, the practitioner runs through them all again, stringing them together in the longest combo they can. Following this training, the practitioner finds themselves capable of using all techniques in the Style up to the highest learned rank of the Soft Physical Formless Style for 10 less Stamina, to a minimum of 5 Stamina. _β Acclimation ___β The user acclimates to moving in their armor by wearing it during normal daily activities. After completing this training, the user can move in any armor as though it were properly fitted for them personally. This provides one descriptive rank in strength and fortitude to techniques using the armor per stage learned in this Style. _β Shifting Position ___β The user practices their art by moving across a shifting surface--such as sand or mud--with their armor. Following the completion of this training, the user becomes significantly harder to topple while armored; all incoming techniques that would move the user are treated as one rank lower in strength when determining of how far the user is moved, and the user can no longer be toppled by techniques lower in rank than their armor. _β Knight's Blade ___β The user studies and acquaints themselves with the many different types of defensive armaments, from shields to armor to defensive items like the forehead protectors that Shinobi Villages use. In the process, they become able to apply any armor techniques to protective armaments and vice-versa.
Things were getting interesting by the minute as he shifted his weight again the the masked one's reveal, a face he hadn't seen nor expected. In his mind, he was calculating the weight of the words as he instinctively paced back and forth. His face didn't betray much emotion other than slight amusement from the reveal. "Not one I expected, but will ease my mind." He said when Chie asked if it would suffice, a light shrug with his shoulders. "Despite circumstances." The words rolled off his tongue with a wave of his hand.
"Nice you may say, but I can't fathom what you may be thinking." He said after a moment of silence when he heard her explain some reason, emphasizing she was the kage now. Someone really came a long way since I been gone. The lingering guilt clutched now but he didn't let it show as he crossed his arms with a nod.
"Aye." Was all he said at first. "You want to talk here or elsewhere, unless you've a means of privacy or vacating everyone in this library. I rather not discuss such matters with students about, everyone's seen enough that night." He kept a still face, a set jaw and barely broke eye contact when he spoke.
Niko awoke the next day with a fire under her. She quickly got dressed and left Hisashi at home. She told him to be a good boy. Niko had one goal in mind. Work. She was still tired from the day before but wanted to be active. She went to the college to see if they had any work for her. "Hello. I am here to see if you needed any help for the day." The receptionist was more than thrilled to see Niko. She hopped out of her seat and grabbed her by the hand. She walked her over to the library. It was almost destroyed.
"There was a fire here sometime last night. They managed to put it out quickly, but most of the books are destroyed. We need someone to help transcribe them. We have master copies stored in a different area, but we lost some of those as well. Could you please help us? I can't pay you but I can offer you more work somewhere down the road..." Niko sighed as she obliged the receptionist.
Niko grabbed a copy of a book and got to work. It was about throwing weapons. Niko found the master copy and became to transcribe it. She would write about the form, many different ways to release, and many other things about the Honshi Art.
The next book she picked up was about shuriken. Niko didn't like shuriken but it was a good time to learn. She didn't know just how many types there were. There were three points, four points, and even six point shuriken. Niko was shocked but she would write about them as if she knew everything about them.
Next up was a book on origami. This dealt with a bloodline of shinobi who could use their chakra to fold paper. She herself would try, but fail instantly. Apparently it was all about the connection between the user and the paper. From clones to weapons, the paper could be used to make anything really, even clothes.
After the origami, Niko picked up a book on her snake sword. This was going to be a fun write for her. The snake sword was something she was slowly mastering. Even with her knowledge of other weapons, Niko had a sweet spot reserved in her mind for that subject. She would write about it's reflexive capabilities and how versatile they could be.
Niko moved on to armor. This was a bit harder to write because of how dull it was. Yes, armor could be the difference in a fight for life or death. However, shinobi did not need armor unless their skills call for it. Even then, in her eyes being a shinobi was all about stealth and secrecy, which you can have with clunky metal armor. Still, Niko learned a thing or two as she wrote.
The following book was on cooking. It was an introduction to cooking cook book. For beginners, this book had recipes for the reader to practice and use. Niko herself committed some of these to memory. She wanted to be able to cook properly when they weren't able to eat out. The some recipes included miso soup, yakitori, udon and many others.
Niko found another book on cooking afterwards. This book had more advanced dishes in it. She didn't even bother remembering these ones though. They seemed so complicated right of the bat. And the presentation especially looked difficult as well. Niko did want to try though. She set that book to the side so she could check it out later.
The next book Niko picked up was on needles. She wrote and wrote from the master book, but was also happy to learn about another weapon. She could use them even better after taking this time to write about it. She remembered something she was told a while ago. Write things down to commit them to memory. You will remember what you wrote as well as what you can do with it.
Niko kept going. She had been there for about two hours, but she was moving. She needed to keep busy so could be done. She couldn't explain it but there was a weird feeling she had. She just wanted to keep her mind off of it.
Niko found another book, one that she fell in love with. This was a fiction book. It was about a man named Steve. Steve had done some many wonderful things, but he also did horrific things as well. Niko read as she wrote. It turns out Steve was a god the whole time, and he never even noticed. All in all it was a great book, one that Niko was glad she got to read/write.
Moving on to the next book about insects, Niko thought about the Aburame clan. She had a friend in this clan back in the hidden leaf. They would play together outside when they were kids and were even on the same squad for a little bit. It was nice thinking about him again. He was always a cool kid to her, and he was very nice. Niko wondered what happened to him as she moved on.
Books, books, books. That's all Niko saw for quite some time. It never bothered her though. She had spent so much time training and fighting yesterday that she needed a break. She wasn't doing anything but writing and finding books to read later. Her mind was at ease, focused on the task at hand.
The book Niko picked up next was about lightning. Another fun write for her, Niko didn't even need the master copy. It was all in her head already. She wrote theory, practice, and results in this book. Being a Hatake had it's advantages every now and then.
Niko continued on to find a book about suiton. She had been neglecting that training for quite some time. Now she would get to write about it. The water techniques she wrote were all deadly or defensive. That's what suiton was. The ultimate defense, mixed in with a versatile offense. Still, most techniques required bodies of water. That was always the worst part. Suiton was a good element to have, but with no water, it would be difficult to fight. Best to stay near water or have water at all times.
Niko picked up a book on katanas next. The book talked about how they were made and what they were used for. Unfortunately, the katana was a weapon. It was used to kill. But that was not it's only function. Samurai and swordsmen would often use them as means for protection. Some fought to end, while others fought to preserve. The katana was weapon she knew well so the writing of this one was fun as well.
Next up on the list was a book about fire. This wasn't a ninjutsu book though. This was just about fire itself. Wild fires, natural fire, how to make fire, how to put it out; all these things and more were in this book. The hottest part of the fire was blue which reminded her of her flames. Blue bright and hot. She still had yet to use they in a fight though. She was getting anxious.
Niko took another break afterwards. She had been there for about four hours and she was getting some work done. She was doing it very quickly. She was almost half way through, and she was working by herself. Niko was again, proud of herself. She'd been doing a lot for the village without even leaving it.
Niko smiled as she came back from her break. She had a lot left to do so she got to work. She wrote about fireworks next. She learned that fireworks were all about gunpowder and different colors mixed in. The casings were the most important part. That's what allowed the fireworks to explode in the shapes and colors they do.
Niko would write about crafting next. It was all about weapon and armor crafting. Again, Niko knew quite a bit on the subject. She crafted before and has watch plenty of times. She was decent and good get better, but she still had the knowledge. She would smile as she was reminded of Sal's. After crafting, came the very thing she was doing, inscription. This showed the way to write, how to write, seals, enchantments and everything pertaining to writing. It was weird to Niko, as she sat there writing about writing. It was even weirder for the guy writing this story of a girl writing about writing. It was just weird in general.
The weirdness subsided and Niko came back to another book on projectiles. This was about knives. This one had pictures as well. Niko would not try her hand at drawing, because everyone had their limits. She had pretty handwriting but she couldn't draw to save her life. She was creative and she could do a lot with the sharingan, but that was after the fact. Niko could never draw, and instead of doing so now, she decided against it. The sharingan can't give her everything now can it?
The book she picked up next was about another bloodline. This one spoke on the Hyuuga. It talked about their eyes and techniques as well as the history of the clan. It was not the best history, but it looked like it had changed over the years. Even today, Niko met a Hyuuga woman. She was quite bossy and rude, but Niko wouldn't pass a judgement on her based on that. She would try to get to know this woman the next time they met. Niko was on a roll. She was busting out book after book and getting it done well. Her handwriting was nice and easy enough to read. Most of nobody would have a complaint, except maybe those who can't read. As Niko wrote on, things were becoming quite clear to her. She tried to keep her mind off of it.
Niko would move on to a book about wolves. Niko, having a wolf, would find this one useful. There was a lot of info on them though. Alphas to betas, Niko learned things even she didn't know. Wolves themselves may have been colorblind. Hisashi never really mentioned color often. IT might be true. She would ask him when she returned home.
Picking up another book, Niko went on to write about the forests and what could be in them. From animals to lakes to hidden caverns, Niko learned about quite a few things out there. There was quite a bit to be afraid of but also quite a bit to be happy about. There were herbs and other plants that grew there that could be used to cure things or ease pain. Medicine was always a fun write, even if it could get boring and complicated.
The next book Niko wrote in was all about speed and how to use chakra to boost it. Besides weight training, one could enhance their limbs with chakra. This would make them faster and jump higher. Now this could work for you or against you. In most cases you have to sacrifice something to gain that speed. Reflex or strength could normally be lost to make yourself faster. Sometimes it was risky but others was worth it.
Niko moved on to the saving grace. She wrote about the sharingan next. This was a crazy write for her, because Ryota didn't tell her nearly anything in this book. There was also no info on this stuff in the scrolls as well. Apparently, there were multiple stages to the sharingan. She had only thought them to be activate and enter god mode. Ryota was not joking. It took years to make it to the high stages of the sharingan. This was something Niko would have to start taking really seriously.
Niko made it to her next break phase. It had been six hours since Niko had arrived. She had written quite a few books for the college and was now a little over half way done. She sat down and had a drink of water. She couldn't help but start to feel this feeling again. She quickly got up and went back to the books.
The next book was on music. The definition of music is organized noise. The noises would be put together to make rhythms and patterns. Niko herself wasn't very into music but it was nice to learn as she wrote about it. There were so many genres and styles that music was almost like fighting. Each genre tells its own tale with the music being it's techniques. Niko enjoyed writing on music.
The thing she did not enjoy writing about however was smoking. She found a book on tobacco. It was disgusting in her eyes. One, you were killing yourself. Two, it wreaked and smelled horrible. And lastly, there were so many different kinds that it was just too much to keep up with. It wasn't just smoking but the chewing and dips as well. Niko was sick to her stomach by the time she was done.
Something else that came up was dissections. Yes, the animals were dead, but as a lover of animals, Niko didn't enjoy it one bit. She would write about organs and entrails. It was like writing about the human body to her. Still, knowing what was inside Hisashi would be important if she ever needed to administer first aid to him.
Moving on, Niko found a book on sickness and illness. She would study these as she wrote about it. The immune system is what really got Niko moving. White blood cells. That's what Niko would like to be. She would be the one to attack any vessels or disease that threatened her way of life. She would be the protector of the body, whatever that body may be.
After writing so much, Niko's hand was cramping up. She had spent about eight hours there altogether. She wasn't getting paid so she wanted to leave. She however, gave her word that she would help. Plus she was still being plagued by this feeling. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but she knew it was bad.
The feeling had to do with Ryota. It was about something he said. Itsuki went on a special mission. Maybe she had misjudged him. However, Ryota's face seemed saddened when he spoke on him for a min. She had no idea what that could mean.
After spending some time in thought and letting her hand heal, Niko started up again. This time with a book that read "How to train your pet For Dummies". Niko would gladly put the book aside for later. She was no dummy but it never hurt to check and make sure she was right every now and then.
Niko began writing a book on turtles when she was stopped by the receptionist. "You really are working hard. You can finish up if you'd like but you don't have to come back tomorrow. I'm going to put in a good word to the Kage about you. You've really been a big help to us so thank you."
"Thank you for allowing me to help. If you don't mind, I would like to stay and finish. I'm having a good time here today. Also, there are some books I'd like to check out if that's okay. I have a few right here and I might find more."
"That is totally fine with me! I will leave the keys here and you lock up. Make sure you lock both locks. They weren't locked this morning so someone must have broken in looking for something. Also, just leave a note of the books you take and I'll get to it tomorrow morning. You can just leave it on my desk."
Niko smiled, stood up and bowed. She would thank the receptionist and went back to writing. Niko was determined to finish. That would be the case, even if she had to stay all night. She was going to get this done.
Niko went on to write about shinobi in general. She wrote about the previous villages and even ones of the past. There were quite a few lost in the war and as of now, they still exist, it's just they aren't villages anymore. They empty husks of their former glory. Still Niko thought it interesting.
Niko then wrote about the sky. Her topics have been crazy so far, but who makes a book about the sky? The science alone was enough to make Niko's head explode. Still, she would write about the diffusion and the atmosphere. She even wrote about the stars and constellations.
Niko continued on to write about another bloodline. This was the Nara clan. She never knew anyone from the Nara clan, but if she was a genius, they would be one step higher than that. (Super genius?) They used the shadows at a weapon and made them fairly easily. There would need to be light in order to manipulate the shadow, but they still could manipulate an entire buildings shadow. They were dangerous but not because of the techniques themselves. It was all about how they were used.
The next topic that came up was lances and pole arms. This gave Niko an idea. She would write about their weight, sizes, and style. There were quite a few ways to use them. If bladed they could be used to cut and pierce, while they could also be blunt and hard and used to crash through things. It seemed like an interesting weapon. Niko wouldn't forget this idea anytime soon.
The next book was about the earth element. Doton was beaten by lightning which made Niko less worried but it beat out water. The doton techniques Niko copied were also all intense. Being able to use the earth to attack, evade, or even protect was a scary thought. She would have no fear when facing them, but she would always do so cautiously.
Niko moved on to genjutsu. The most time consuming technique to learn. It was also one of the deadliest. To be able to trap your opponent into something only they or others affected can sense, it was almost overpowered. But, Niko knew that genjutsu had one real weakness. As soon as the target realizes its a genjutsu, it can easily be kai'd. The only problem is, the genjutsu can seem so real at times. IT was difficult to discern in a lot of situations.
Niko decided to take one more break. She only had so much left but the hand cramp came back. Niko went to get some water. She waited for a moment before Itsuki's ace popped back into her head. She quickly shook it out and walked back.
On her way back, he came into her mind again. She couldn't help but think about him. It was strange. She hadn't seen him in a while. She knew where he was though. The pain wasn't much, but she felt some being away from him for this long. He didn't even say goodbye. She thought they had something but she wasn't sure. Still, she sat back down and tried to forget. As Niko wrote and wrote, she noticed it was getting later and later. She needed to hurry up. Otherwise, Hisashi would be made at her. She was gone all day and didn't even offer steak for his patience. That's what Niko decided she would do. She would go get some steak for him afterwards.
The book that finally stumped Niko was a book on taijutsu. The master copy wasn't there either so it was that much harder. She read the words aloud. "Kiss of flesh and steel." She read what she could but the style was lost. This is where Niko improvised. She used her tai style to fill out the rest of the book. With a smile, Niko moved on. Hopefully no one would notice.
The next book was on the wind. The wind based jutsu were all offensive with some minor defensive in there as well. Wind was one of the deadliest affinities to have. The moves were all based on powerful winds that could slice through, or carry techniques making the useless or stronger. The wind was also only beaten by fire, an element Niko gained through her sharingan. She would have a counter for it, but she was not excited to go up against it anytime soon.
Niko continued on to a book about the human biology. This book however, was all about reproduction. Niko never once thought about a man like that. There were no men like her father, so why would she waste her time? Then a strange thought came into her mind again. It was Itsuki.
"Why the hell do I keep thinking about him?" Niko would ask herself. She admired him yes. She even looked up to his ideals. But why would she continue to think about him, especially since she hadn't seen him for a while. It was puzzling to her.
Itsuki, out of all people should have never been on her mind. That was her partner yes, but they hadn't even gotten to do anything yet. No missions. No jobs. They didn't even get to fight themselves. Niko only had the fight with the man at the dojo. Other than that, it was just their other meetings. Why would Itsuki bare so much weight to her? She let him in and now she felt some type of way about it. She just wasn't sure how to express it.
After spending some time thinking, Niko stopped and went to the last book. The last book was about the Hidden Whirlpool. The village apparently was a land that was run by the Uzumaki some time before they scattered. The village was under Sanae Uzumaki at the time of conception. It was now run by Chie Saegahara, a woman with fierce passion and intensity. Niko met her once during the blood moon. She was tasked with finding out info on a cultist when she was reassigned to help with the bat creature. Niko knew she would be meeting with her soon, she just did not know the circumstances. Niko was done. She wrapped up all the final readable books and placed them back where they belonged. She then took the unreadable ones and piled them up in the corner. Afterwards, Niko wrote her note. She then went and placed it on the receptionist desk.
She would then take all the books she was checking out. She gathered up her things as well. She cleaned her area and made sure the library was in tip top shape before locking up.
Then, Niko left the college with her job completed. She had rewritten quite the number of books today. This was almost as hard as the other day was. There was so much Niko learned today and so much she couldn't wait to tell and show Hisashi. She was on her way home finally after a long day.
That's when Niko stopped. She had worked a full twelve hours without eating. She knew Hisashi would be hungry as well. Niko went to the steakhouse where se was offered free steak for assisting with security the other day. With no complaints, Niko was off to eat a wonderful meal with Hisashi.
Her hand rose, and people parted. First the anbu, and then the civilians. Zahara and Chie had the entire floor to themselves now. The young woman resumed her seat and sat in it as though it was the kage's mantle. "Most people reported cases of violence against their fellow man. Some even tried to attack one another. Few people are recorded as killing another on that day, however. It is for this reason that a proper investigation has to be done." Her hands laced into each other. She studied the man. "For most people, five years is a gap. So much of one's identity can change during that time. This in return is the heart of this dilemma. If you are still the same people from five years ago, who needed direct intervention to follow instructions and to not take the killing blow, then I need to deal with you a much different way than I will if you were just someone who lost their mind to the curse of the corrupted chakra. I have other ways to find out who you are, but I should at least give you a chance for you to define yourself." Now she waited. Zahara was asked to be accountable for his sins. Both of the ordeal of the blood moon, and also the incident which Chie and Zahara first bonded over. There were layers to this issue, and the man would have to unpeel them carefully.

He settled for remaining to stand, preferring it to sitting as he paced when Chie talked, considering her words as he thought. That much was true of time changing a person, for better or worse and for him it were a mix of both since he went off on his own. I wonder if she knows anything of what happened since the riot. Finally he decided to sit, yanking a chair out from a nearby table with his jacket sliding off and resting on the back of the chair. Under the jacket he wore a sleeveless shirt which revealed both of his arms in full view as she would see a heavily scarred left arm from the elbow down with much of the forearm wrapped in bandages.
"You're right, a lot happens in five years." He agreed with Chie as he set down a journal in his lap, his hand resting on it. "I am not the same person," as he gestured to his book he gave a heavy sigh as he read from it "Akiara, Age 27, Tailor. Worked as a thug to extortion ring. Don't remember how he died, I remember gorging on his blood. Sei, age 37, apprentice doctor. Cardiac arrest. No immediate family, looked for two days in official records. No remorse for the thug, same man who cornered me weeks before along with two others, deep regrets on doctor's death as he was a healer, helped trauma victims from his records history. A third victim I attacked in a brush of push and pull of my own sanity, a woman whom still lives but her name I know not. A kunoichi she was I am sure. When I regained sanity, I saved a few others and fought with some of those who were lost in thought, no blood was shed save for bruises and cuts."
Zahara closed the book as he was finished reading from one of its pages. "I recall the riot incident a bit differently, but when a threat endangers the village with potential turn-coats of civilians from blasphemous speech. No mercy must be taken in account. Since that day you know of my father's branch of the Hyuuga were religious, an internal power struggle swelled with that very same verbal speech that turncoat mouthed off to the citizens. Long story short, I was put off on self exile when my mother died from a result of senseless pity. No idea what happened with father, far as I am concerned he's still spewing sermons or dead. Don't want to know, kept on my own for a few years, had a one in with a few individuals. Lost an arm, gained an arm if that makes sense."
Zahara held his face level with Chie's then as he skewed his eyes in a narrow stare, looking at her as if she had answers to questions he didn't know. "Defining myself, you called it vampiric rage. I remember the foreign chakra in me as it twisted my mind and perverted my sense of reality. Imagine a mirror of yourself and in its reflection was another like you but with the deepest and darkest of emotion and intent. That's how it were, and I've failed to resist more than once so yes. I admit and its shameful I let it do so." He adjusted from where he sat and worked his jaw. "I've done things I'm not proud of, but the chakra that infested me was alien as it were intoxicating."
He finished as he held the journal in his hand as he passed it over to her. In it, if she would read the passages in it, it would detail entries in Zahara's hand over the past few years, the beginning of the journal were written in a state of confusion of what happened with his reasoning of self exile to escape from the internal strife of his clan. Following initial entries would follow random acts he done outside in the fire country and finding a temporary home, each written like reports. The tail end of such entries would detail much of what he done over the few years missing, how he lost his arm and the deal he made with a doctor with his work as a mercenary. The latest entries prior to the blood moon would be filled of entries with mixed emotion, idle thoughts he had written of what he needed to do and a 'loss of purpose' as he put it.
A deep, uneasy sigh escaped her. "You have learned nothing, Zahara." She said with her eyes closed. She was disappointed far more than she was angry. However, rage did boil within her. "We are not executioners. It is the duty of a shinobi to only take a life if it is absolutely required. You have not learned this. Therefore, under the laws of Uzushiogakure, I am arresting you for assassination without consent of the village." The anbu moved in quickly. They would make sure he did not flee, and also restrain him if he did not act. "You have a right to an attorney. One shall be appointed to you by the village should you not find one on your own. Once he was bound, assuming he did not try to run or fight, he would be escorted to the Temple of the Gods. That was where the Vortex headquarters lay, and that was where prison cells were set up. Her eyes looked back at the boy she knew, who was now the man she was arresting. She could not allow herself to be weak now. She was the village leader.

The process of what was said and weight of the situation was calculating in his mind, thinking now on her words of having learned nothing. He didn't show much in his face but underneath his stoic exterior, mixed feelings brewed. A tough decision rolled in the back of his mind, failure was hinged on his choice making and the reality of what he did do. "You're right." he said as she did the equivalent of reading rights. Standing there, he let out a heavy sigh. "I've failed you, but sometimes gotta put the sick dog down." From a kunai holster he drew a blade short and narrow, he clutched it in a reverse grip as he breathed heavily as eyes activated so he could observe around him. Chakra pulsated in his eyes as the world came alive in his monochromatic view of it and he saw others moving in on him. He raised the dagger and took a single step forward, small smile now. "I am sorry my sensei." A sharp pain came from his abdomen as he plunged the sharp instrument into himself just below the ribs as he fell to the floor on his knees, blood welling from the wound. "Sometimes you just got to put the sick dog down." He said through a strained breath, his hand still clutching the grip of the dagger where he impaled himself "Heh, this hurts more than I thought."
