Still not amused by what he had done, Aries had attacked Hero last monday after all! Hero wasn't going to go easy on his opponent, who seemed like prey for the hunter right now. Chris would kneel down and attempt to mount the downed Aries, looking to send punches to Double A's face.

The punches would connect, causing Austin Aries to delay himself in getting back up to his feet a bit, but looking to create some sort of separation, Aries would look to fully get to his feet and deliver a thumb to eye without the referee's knowledge!

Oh and the thumb was effective! "Damn it!", Hero would scowl as he stumbled back, pissed off that Aries go for such a low tactic. So pathetic but extremely effective!
Chris was favoring his eye, which was hurting bad!

After connecting the thumb, the referee would look over to Chris Hero holding his face and then he would look at Aries, giving him a warning about illegal use of such moves within a wrestling match, and the audience would boo and thumb down Aries, but he didn't care! It was used to stop Chris Hero's momentum momentarily, as Austin Aries would back up into a nearby corner to catch his breath, and the referee checking on Hero to make sure he was alright.

Pissed, Hero would simply ignore the referee and close his affected eye, approaching his opponent. Like a raging bull, Chris would rush towards Aries, looking to grapple with Aries once more!

Seeing Chris Hero coming now, Aries would look to cut him off by coming out of the corner, delivering a back elbow to Chris Hero's face!

Due to Hero not seeing from both his eyes, a lack of depth perception would prove to be detractive to his reflexes, being caught by Aries' back elbow. Chris stumbled back, holding the part of his face that was hit by Aries' elbow.

Looking to take advantage of the opportunity and feeling well rested now from recuperating just a little bit, Aries would look to come up from behind Chris Hero and look to roll him down to the canvas, pinning his shoulders to the mat with a roll up!

Despite Aries' wanting to end their match early, Hero wasn't too keen on losing his first ever title opportunity. Chris would power out at 2, still fresh and ready to fight.

After the power out two, the referee would only get a two count, and Aries would look to pick himself up to his feet!

Hero would roll over, still holding his aching eye. Chris would support himself with the ropes, standing up.

Getting to his feet, Aries would then grab Hero by his arm to turn him around, as he would look to send a right hook to him, looking to exchange blows!

The right hook would connect, causing Hero's head to turn! The crowd would "OOH!" in excitement as Aries was turning it into a brawl. Chris, not wanting to back down, would go for a right hook of his own!

The right hook from Chris Hero would stun Austin Aries, staggering him for a couple seconds, before Aries would look to shake off the cobwebs and deliver another right, with the audience feeding into the energy of both men, but more towards Hero!

Another right hook would crack Hero right on the chin! Stumbling back, wondering how the hell he was still up. Chris wouldn't hesitate to get back into it and go for another hard right hook to Austin!
