Jason hearing John’s comment about this not being real stirred something inside of him. “How could you possibly know if this is real or not?!” Has said exclaiming, before continuing on, “The man that was shot didn’t vanish into thin air, and besides that, minus the fact there’s people who don’t belong here time-wise, this is exactly how I remember things from when I actually did live tombstone. We are quite literally reliving my past John.” Jason knew at this point, his friend would have to come to the exact same three conclusion Jason himself had come to. That either a) someone's been inside Jason’s head and using his past to orchestrate this illusion; b) the reality they were in was quite real in spite of what their instincts were telling them; or c) someone from Jason’s past who also was able to live as long as Jason was using their own experiences to create this illusion. None of these prospects seemed favourable. ”Which means we have to be careful as two face could likely be as much a victim in this as we are.” Jason said cautioning John, as much as he knew this would be a kill joy for John and simply made things messier than they needed to be. But it also would make John realize why Jason hadn’t summoned Etrigan yet.

"How'd you fit that big head through the door, mate?" John asked as he reached around the counter above himself blindly searching for the newspaper that had been left there. He pulled it down when he found it and tossed it to Jason. "Page two is all about Bruce Wayne and a band of outlaws. Bruce is dead. If he is alive here it can't be real. This is on a bigger scale than you and me, mate. Someone has to be making this all up. I think-" John tried to explain but before he could a bullet ripped through the counter he was hiding behind and his shoulder. John let out a loud grunt and rolled a bit away from where he had been hiding to a new part of the counter.
"I'll get Two-Face, you help him." Nathaniel offered. Mandrake had just found Two-Face and his goons readying to breach the back door so Nathaniel teleported back there. His body was quickly engulfed in a black cloud of smoke that fluttered through the air and towards the back door just as Two-Face kicked it in. The door swung open and a arrow made of magic hit Two-Face square in the chest. Rather than piercing him it hit him like a hammer and he flew backwards through the wall of the adjacent building. The goons seemed surprised for a minute because they'd discovered another warlock to burn and then quickly took aim at Nathaniel. Mandrake was faster. He stepped forward, separating from Nathaniel's body and solidified so that the volley of bullets hit him and not Nathaniel but two or three did make it through and strike Nathaniel's stomach. Nathaniel fell backwards into the bar while Mandrake went about beating down Two-Face's forces in the back. They shot at him but the bullets passed through their spectral assailant and had no effect as he beat them one by one. Meanwhile Nathaniel was crawling back towards the bar Jason and John were behind. The goons in the front were still providing pretty consistent fire but Jason was more than equip to handle them. When Nathaniel finally crawled back to the bar he groaned "How is it going over here?"

Jason casted what little “healing” cantrips he knew on his fellow sorcerer as he said the word, “Burn” cauterizing John’s wound to stop the bleeding, Jason had many sorcery talents, but healing wasn’t one of them. As he never had the need for healing Magic’s. By being bound to Etrigan, he found the Demon would often do the healing for him. But his better half however would make things easier in this fight, and after reading the evidence he needed from John, meant he no longer needed to hold back. And perhaps the one he was about to summon might have better answers than either John or Jason were able to conjure, it was then Jason stood up from the counter brazenly shouting the words to his spell, with all holes in drawing all attention to himself. “Gone, gone the form of man!.....And shortly after his voice would begin to turn into another as the spell continued. “Rise the Demon Etrigan!”The demon looked around to those accompanied and surveying the situation, he would be able to quickly ascertain they were in a fire fight but also in one of his favorite time periods. “I see Blood summoned me late to the party! Still plenty of time to go and sever heads free! The demon did not hold back and blew flames from its mouth incinerating their adversaries, or at least any foolish enough to continue firing upon a Demon Lord such as Etrigan instead of fleeing for their lives at the sight of him. To Etrigan it was clear none of this was real, but it still was fun for him to let loose without getting reprimanded by his jailor.

The Wraith
Most of Two-Face's goons had cleared out upon seeing a fiery whirlpool turn into the great beast that was Etrigan. Nathaniel on the other hand just stared at Etrigan. "Rad." He mumbled before looking over at John. Nathaniel was no spellcaster and so he did not know how their spells worked. All he knew was what it was like to have the ghost of one of King Arthur's knights banished from death and bound to him. "Hey! Tea and crumpets! If this is an illusion and we are all seeing the same thing, why wouldn't the guys shooting at us just be trapped in it too?" When John heard Nathaniel's question it caused him to pause. Perhaps there was more too this that John didn't know. In reality they were perfectly fine. All who died here would simply become comatose until the illusion was broken. Even if they had their head ripped off in this reality. Ultimately John decided it didn't matter. Jason had done most of the healing John would have been able to do so it was time to get over the pain and get back in action. John stood and raised his Winchester to fire but the bar was empty. So he lowered the gun and looked over at Etrigan. "This spell is a real nasty piece of work. I haven't been able to break it and I've been stuck here for days." John explained. Just after he said that, Two-Face lumbered into the bar holding his ribs in one hand and a revolver in the other. He raised it to fire at Etrigan because the beast was the most frightening thing but before he could pull the trigger, the specter of Mandrake Lo broke a bottle over the back of Two-Face's head causing the criminal to fall unconsciously to the ground. Mandrake shimmered there for a few seconds looking towards Etrigan with a sense of recognition before he disappeared from John and Etrigan's view. Nathaniel could still see him there and Nathaniel would hear what Mandrake said next. "That demon serves Morgana la Fey. Do not trust it. Perhaps it's master has trapped us here. I hope so. I've wanted to kill that hag for a long time." When Mandrake finished speaking Nathaniel grumbled "We're not killing anyone calm down." completely forgetting that John and Jason could still hear him.

Etrigan however seeing the specter only briefly knew himself, John and Nathaniel were not alone. And if it was one thing Etrigan didn’t like having was spies. However he had his own solution for dealing with spirits, and wouldn’t be long before long Etrigan casted a spell of his own. “What once was dead could not be heard by thee. I now give you a voice and a body for all to see!” It was useful spell for when dealing with Deadman, and other spirits in similar predicaments to that of Mandrake. Now both Constantine and Etrigan could see the knight and talk to the knight directly without having to use Nathaniel as a mediator. “This knight I remember from when I faced my half-wit brother. Though Le Fey had me bound, treated me like her hound. I am now to tethered another. To one you might know, from oh so long ago. Sir knight Mandrake Lo. ”

Mandrake seemed to recognize the spell that Etrigan was beginning to cast and he scowled. A scowl that only Nathaniel would see at the time but a scowl none the less. The scowl had faded into a stern expression by the time Mandrake was exposed to John and Etrigan. "Old alliances are not so easily forgotten. You served as La Fey's hound. Then you served as Trig- Ah shut it Mandrake we have bigger issues." Nathaniel's voice overpowered Mandrakes and called everyone in the room back to attention. Even John who was sulking in by the bar because he couldn't seem to catch a break as far as knights of Camelot went. Now he had to listen to two sticks in the mud. At least Nathaniel seemed relatively entertaining. "For example, How are we getting out of this?" John commented. He had his theories but he wanted to hear what Jason/Etrigan had to suggest before he voiced them. Right now everything was speculation but he was guessing the root was somewhere in Tombstone. Luckily for John, not so lucky for Mandrake, Etrigan was anything but a stick in the mud. And Mandrake was right to not trust the Rhyming Demon. Only person’s side Etrigan ever truly was on was his own. However as long as he was amused he was usually easy to keep in check. Hearing John’s question Etrigan would answer back in rhyme. This magic reeks the work of one I know from before. The offspring of Jason’s treacherous whore! One you may know as an enemy. He goes by the name Dr. Destiny. Etrigan then looked to the specter and realized the dead knight of Camelot probably had no inclination of whom he was talking about and decided bring him in the loop. I think this name you do not know. So I shall enlighten you Mandrake Lo. His mother I pretty sure you knew. For she was Morgana’s sister Xanadu. Etrigan then looked to Constantine suspecting he also has had past dealings with John Dee, wondering he had similar conclusions.

Nathaniel seemed confused as to who this Doctor Destiny was but he didn't really think he needed to know. Everybody had some fancy name. It wasn't the name that mattered it was their actions. Mandrake seemed somewhat more familiar with the name but not familiar enough to comment. "His power matters not. I shall dominate him and free us." Mandrake claimed boldly while Nathaniel seemed skeptical "No you won't." Mandrake shot a glare at Nathaniel who squinted back but the two turned their attention Constantine as he spoke up. "Well there is one way to find out. Shift back and we can go-" Before John could finish his sentence there was another gunshot from outside the saloon but this one was clearly not aimed at them. It was a warning.
"This is Sheriff Kent. Come on out with your hands up." Kent sat on his horse just outside the saloon. Deputy Stewart was on foot but hiding behind a barrel across the way with a rifle. Deputy Garner was up on a rooftop with a rifle and deputy Jones was beside him with a repeater. Etrigan walked out of the saloon quite brazenly. Looking to see all who greeted them. Etrigan did not recognize any of his adversaries but he knew he was going to have causing mayhem and destruction. “You think with your guns, you can stop a creature born of hellfire? Oh this’ll be much fun, for you have wrought my ire!” Etrigan then charged Kent with demonic speed. The Demon unaware that Kent was the secret identity of Superman. As he rushed the illusionary Kryptonian he’d attempt to knock him off his horse and if successful in bull rush, he’d charge Kent into a nearby building.

Before John could stop the demon, Etrigan had announced himself to the law of the town. Better yet, he attacked the sheriff. If not for the west’s rampantly negative views of magic and anything unexplainable, Kent didn’t use his power to resist Etrigan’s charge. He was on a horse so it would have been enough trouble trying to avoid him anyways. Mid charge the deputies had all opened fire on Etrigan who would find their bullets stinging a lot more than mundane weapons would. It still wouldn’t be enough to stop the demon’s momentum. For a little flavor and clarification, Stewart and Garner were wearing green shirts with black vests and pants and green boots. The metal on their rifles was green too but it was hard to tell why. Jones was wearing two red bandoleers that made an X across his body and a purple shirt beneath it. Kent was wearing blue jeans, red boots, a blue shirt and a red bandana. They all had badges but that’s kinda expected. Etrigan took Kent right off his horse and through the wall of Miss Diana’s brothel across the street. Kent shoved Etrigan off once they’d gone through the wall and nobody would see the display of strength. Brothel patrons began to scream in fear and panic at the sight of Etrigan and they even started to flee. Kent adjusted his footing once he was free of the demon and he raised his fists to fight. His gun had been knocked from his hand in the charge. However he wouldn’t have much opportunity to do anything before a golden lasso dropped around Etrigan’s neck from above and tightened. It began to shimmer and a feminine voice called out “How do we banish you?” The voice asked.
Meanwhile John and Nathaniel took the back exit out of the bar. Etrigan was causing enough of a distraction that the two of them had decided to slip out before someone spotted them. The majority of the witchcraft blame would fall on Etrigan and so they could still get out without being outed. John kept them invisible and they moved a few buildings down then popped out onto the street where they’d look like nothing more than observers. A quick illusion cast by John made Nathaniel’s clothes fit into the time period a little better and disguised his bow as a repeater. The Demon laughed at Diana’a question, mostly because she asked the wrong kind of question. The Demon would answer her truthfully in Rhyme, as wings began to sprout from his back. The only one who banish me is long thought dead and buried under soil and mud. It’s only he that can undo the spell that binds me to Jason Blood. So until that spell is undone and I am set free. There is no way for you to banish me!” By the time the Demon had finished answering the Amazon’s question it took flight into the air staging her with him assuming she was holding on to the lasso. She would soon find the Demon’s strength matched both her own and Kent’s. The Demon would try to shake her off by smashing through the roof of the brothel. Failing that whilst up in the air it would ask a counter question. ”If thou dost wish no more harm to come those you care about most. I would demand to know who is this town’s host? If I can speak with it’s mayor. I shall soon easily be out of your hair.” The Demon didn’t expect her to cooperate no more than he himself was. And he would struggle to remove the lasso from his neck.

When Etrigan tried to pry the rope from around his neck he would find it jerk down suddenly and tighten even more. Sheriff Kent had grabbed hold of Diana’s leg and pulled her down enough that he could also grab the lasso. Alone neither of them was strong enough to pull the demon to the ground but together the task became easier. In whatever capacity their attempt to pull him down into the brothel succeeded, Etrigan would be able to hear Sheriff Kent grumble “Luthor isn’t likely to talk to a demon.” Diana wrapped the lasso around her arm to improve her grip and interjected, asking “What business do you have with Mayor Luthor.”
John watched as Etrigan took to the sky and the law tried to pull him back down. Well the law and Miss Diana who was more of a warrior than a brothel owner. He caught the name Luthor and it wasn’t hard to piece together that Alexander Luthor was the mayor of the town. Luthor owned a lot of the railway so it made him a natural candidate. People thought he was gonna launch them into the future. Civilized folk loved him. Outlaws hated him. It was good information but not helpful past figuring out Doctor Destiny wasn’t playing mayor. John thought about forcing Etrigan to revert back but he didn’t. Jason didn’t need his help yet. Nathaniel seemed to be of similar thought but he found use elsewhere. He pointed a finger at Deputy Stewart behind the barrel and then suddenly he appeared next to the man. Nathaniel caught the barrel of Steart’s rifle and shoved it aside with his right hand before planting his left hand on the deputy’s face and burning a spectral brand into it. Etrigan, John and any who could sense magic would see the brand as a handprint across the deputy’s face but nobody else would. The deputy seemed to struggle for a moment then relax and stand down. A few moments later and Nathaniel had converted Garner and Jones as well. The three of them followed him to the rooftop of the general store next to the brothel.

The Demon ceased its struggling, and actually perked up at interest in this. ”Oh you would be quite surprised. For you in my reality he is quite despised. Though I do not wish to spread ill rumor. Of your beloved Lex Luther.” The Demon decided at this point it was time to play the rules of whatever game of whoever was orchestrating it, until at least he was brought closer to who was making this mess.”Believe it or not, I am lost seeking my way home. And I thought your mayor was someone else in this place called Tombstone.” The words he spoke were not untrue, they simply were half truths and as such the lasso was doing its job. ”But perhaps the answers we both seek. Are with you mayor if he’s willing to speak.”Etrigan had hoped with they way he responded would warrant more cooperation. Regardless, he laid most of his cards out on the table. It was their turn to decide what to do with the Demon for now.

Nathaniel had taken his posse to the rooftop beside the brothel and then teleported himself to the brothel's flimsy rooftop itself. when he did the three deputies actually climbed down to the street and began ushering people indoors. They didn't need any more eyes on them than they already had. Nathaniel on the other hand was more focused on getting the rest of the law on their side. He figured he could get Kent and then Diana but never got the chance to before they spoke with Etrigan again. "Does he have to rhyme every time?" Nathaniel grumbled to himself as he listened to them speak. Mandrake materialized beside Nathaniel "It is his way. Strike now while they are distracted." Mandrake demanded but Nathaniel shook his head. Mandrake scowled and then disappeared back into Nathaniel who was just going to observe for a bit.
"You want to talk to the mayor-" Sheriff Kent pulled on the lasso "Then let us bind your hands and take you to a cell." Kent's demand was simple but also the only way this ended peacefully. Etrigan's outward appearance was to frightening to have him walking around without some restraint to keep the people at peace. People who would be demanding that the demon burn for merely existing if not for the deputies forcing them into their homes.

Etrigan paused and considered his options. Then he realized no bars could hold him so it simply was to be a security blanket. ”If it’ll bring the townspeople comfort, and keep the peace. Then I’ll go on chains shackles and let you lock me up with ease.” The Demon casually then got up, and held out his wrists to cuffed and shackled in good faith. I’ll only do this in obedience. If you grant me with Luthor an audience. But I will caution you now. Once a bargain with a demon is done. You’ll reap that which you sow. If you do not honour the deal that’s begone. However if it looked like the authorities would simply ignore the bargain the Demon would make sure his capture, be a lot more difficult than what he’s made it this far. Etrigan also was not entirely oblivious of the ongoings of his allies. So at worst case scenario he was providing the perfect distraction for the answers that they needed.
