“A Starseed is this…magical crystal thing,” Nix said, and put a hand on his chest, roughly in the center. “Everybody’s got one, and it’s, well, it’s basically your soul. The Negaverse likes to take them, because they have lots of power. That, erm…” he hesitated, unintentionally visualizing what he was describing. “Kills the owner,” he managed to finish, though. “So, I…don’t really know how it works for Knights,” he admitted, moving on from thinking about Bad Things are Starseeds. “We’ll have to find you an experienced one for that, but I know generally there’s a thing out there,” he pointed up into the sky, “That shares your name. No idea what, though. I do know it’s a place, and you can get there…somehow.” He paused, then forged onward. “Senshis are all…uh…protectors? Avatars? Something…” he smirked and muttered, “I wouldn’t mind being Aang,” before continuing normally, “of celestial bodies where, uh, magical societies in the past lived. ‘Nix,’ my name, is a moon of Pluto, for instance. Some people have stars, or planets, or asteroids…I don’t think Nix being the name is really from a millennia ago, but who knows? Maybe it was.” He shrugged. “Magic is weird.”

She was listening in confusion at his words about starseeds... Until he explained the part about them getting taken, and it KILLING the owner. That made her already pale face go white as a ghost, as Cheomsongdae remembered the Terrifying Man in the Park. She whispered, horrified, "Is that what he was going to do to me..." as her hand slid up to rest over her chest, in the approximately equivalent place to where his hand had landed. She tried to move on with him, but her skin stayed VERY pale... Not as white as before, perhaps, but it was still pretty clear she was terrified of what he had told her, or something related to it. "I... I see. Yes, an experienced Knight who can tell me stuff would be nice." His comment about something 'out there' made her look to the sky. As he spoke about how some people had planets or stars, etc, her expression became wistful, because the idea of having one of her beloved stars as her... own, sort of... or to belong to one? Maybe? Is that what he was saying?... would be amazing. But she had a Wonder, whatever that was. But it shared her name? So it was Cheomsongdae too. She would have to do research into that, because she did not know what it could be, or where. "Ah. I see... I don't know about what the name could have been, millennia ago. As far as I knew, until today, such things didn't HAVE names, because humanity hadn't come that far. But... Obviously what I think of as humanity is not evolved enough, yet, to understand this. Still... To think that all of those stars out there, or even some... once had ancient societies... How I wish I could see it."

"I, uh, think the names themselves are magic," Nix said, looking off to the side with a thoughtful expression. "You know, since we know them and stuff sort of...intrinsically? Although, I admit, a cat told me my name first." He decided to backtrack the conversation a bit, though, having realized what she'd muttered softly. "And, uh, so you know...the negaverse people can grab starseeds by putting there hand in, er, here?" he put his hand on his chest in roughly the right spot. "I dunno how, but somehow it just sorta goes in?" He pressed his hand on his chest to suggest it.So...really, if you can avoid it, don't let them touch you in the chest." He smiled wryly at that. "I mean, even if they couldn't, probably still kinda gross to let them do that, but...yeah..." He let his hand fall, and added, "I get the impression they gotta concentrate or something to do it, so they probably wouldn't, you know, just casually do it if you're fighting back. I think we'd be pretty screwed if they could..."

"That.... Might make sense. It's certainly one of the few things... I just. Knew. One of those very few things." Cheomsongdae looked thoughtful, and sighed. "Basically that, really, and that I was a Page now. Helpful, really." She refocused... And shuddered, all over, at the very idea of someone literally sticking their hand in her chest. "What is this, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom? Gross... AND creepy. Ew." She looked horrified and appalled and also like maybe she wanted to go hide in a small, dark place for a bit, to get away from these new, and very unpleasant, facts of her already not wonderful reality. She took several deep breaths, and whispered "Soooooooo, taking some Jiu Jitsu or something might do me some good, so I can distract them with well placed hits, I'm guessing? Not like THIS..." She gestured at the cheap metal wand that was her 'weapon' "Is gonna be much good in a fight. I mean. What am I gonna do with it, smack 'em about the head?"

"Well, you could, uh," he considered. "Poke 'em in the eye? Or up the nose. Or mouth. Any of those would get me stop, that's for sure. I like my eyes, and have you ever had someone push on your nose like this?" he put a finger on his lip and pushed up just a bit. "It's really, er, confusing." "But yeah! Jiu Jitsu or whatever you like would definitely help!" he nodded enthusiastically. "And meeting up with other knights, too. Strongest one I know is Gravina, but he's a bit..." he hesitated, and waggled a hand. "Strange. Still, I'll bet he'd know all kinds of things!" "Oh, I also met a guy named Camelot, once. He seemed really strong...but I haven't done much with him."

"I... guess?" She blinked a little, considering whether or not she could do any of those things while under attack. Could she actually aim that effectively, under stress? She did not know. She needed to learn how to fight, needed to learn how to defend herself too... "Is there... like... anyone out there who can teach people how to fight? Because honestly... I'm a dead weight in battle." "I definitely need to study Jiu Jitsu, or whatever I can snag at school, but the sooner I have something under my belt to help me fight, the better for anyone I'm fighting with or near." She sighed softly, and tilts her head, listening to the talk of other knights. "Strange how? I mean, if you look at it, isn't this ALL kinda strange?" She gestured at their outfits, and the buildings they had just leapt off of and ALL of that. "Might be worth meeting both of them, if only for information."

"Gravina, well," Nix said carefully, considering how to put it. "He makes me think of a really sweet little kid. But, erm. He's definitely a grown-up. I think something happened to him a while ago, but I'm not really sure what." "Well... I could teach you some stuff," Nix offered with a grin. "Really just like...practice routines and what not." He waved a glove out to the side, gesturing vaguely into the night. "There's lots you can learn while powered down that's useful. Martial arts, running, jumping, tumbling...You don't need someone superpowered to learn that from. Probably way better to get teaching from a real instructor." "But I'm always happy to help someone practice using their super power stuff!" He thumped his chest with his thumb, causing the little frog symbol to wobble briefly. "I do it all the time!" He glanced off to the side and added a bit less enthusiastically, "Well, you know, when I'm not in school or doing other things..." His gaze returned to her and he grinned again. "But most of the time!"

Cheomsongdae tilted her head, curiously, as he spoke, her eyes narrowed in a 'I'm focusing and parsing what you're saying' way. His comment about Gravina made them widen again, though, for a moment, wondering if this person was ok... Should someone who was like a sweet little kid even be allowed to fight? That was like letting a baby wander through a battlefield, surely! However, all she said was "I... well... I see." His offer made her grin at him. "Yeah, I'd love some help. I'm floundering, what can I say? But I'll definitely look into the classes that might be offered at school. Any little edge would help, after all. I don't want to be helpless, ever again." There was a definite hint in her voice that she had been helpless, more then once... Though her expression made it clear she did not know she'd put that sort of emphasis on her words. His comment about school had her brows raising, though, and she couldn't help it... The side of her that did tutoring in 'real life' reacted. "I hope you're managing a good balance, and keeping your grades up, yeah?" ... Well. She did spend a lot of time having to help jock-types who thought being Sports Skilled was enough, and were panicking because they needed to fix their grades, so they didn't loose their scholarships or something.

"Oh, yeah," Nix said with a smile and a nod. "I'm doing okay. School's not too hard..." he rubbed his cheek and looked up thoughtfully a moment before adding, "Though it might be more tough when I get to college." He shrugged. "I've got time though!" "So, wanna set a certain time to meet up and practice?" he suggested. "I mean, we can get started right now, but thinking up plans is better before you're tired, ya know!" Aria Starstone I dunno how much detail you wanna get into for "actual" training. Lots or little is fine by me~ Also, we've reached word requirements, so if you wanna do a "real training" RP as a separate thing, we can get a battle req in as a new scene! (Not to say we have to wrap this up. I'll happily go thousands of words, lol.)

"Good, good." She tilted her head at that, then said "When you get there, if you need some tutoring help, find me and we'll make arrangements, ok? I do tutoring, and since you're helping me, here, I won't charge you, yeah?" She winked, in a friendly way... This WAS how she currently made her income, so she thought it a fair and reasonable offer, honestly. "Mmm sure! How about Friday evening? I'm free anytime after four, so I can work with your schedule, Nix." She did not want to make things difficult on the kind young man. "And I think... Not today. I'm still kinda freaked out after all of..." She gestured up at the roofs. "That." Tolin Kalin I do like a good long RP, but I also do need to get her reqs, sooo a battle would be awesome. She needs those!

He nodded and grinned at the tutoring offer. "Sure, sounds good!" "Friday, hmm," he tapped his chin, brows furrowed as he considered. "Sure! I usually come out at night, since it's harder to get spotted and make a scene when it's dark. So...Around 8, maybe?" Foreseeing a common question, he immediately offered, "My parents don't mind, really. I mean...I haven't told them what I do, but they know I'm responsible and all that." He grinned. "And, of course, they don't always know I'm gone!" He put his hand on his chest lightly, making a 'angelic and responsible' sort of pose...at least in his mind. Aria Starstone Well, then! Let's wrap it up and we can get a new one going! biggrin

"Awesome. I'll be waiting, should you need me!" She tilted her head, waiting to see what he came up with as the best choice for him. "Eight works for me. Where do you want to meet? Here, or is there a better place for this stuff?" She honestly assumed there had to be, because this just seemed a little exposed here for practicing and all. The enemy could find them, and surprise them, or something. She laughed a little at his last comment, letting the rest kind of pass her by, and shrugs. "As long as they won't kick you out or cut you off or something, I have no worries about it." Her tone made it sound like that really was her only concern, but one that for her, was real.

"Nah, no way they'd throw me out," he shook his head. "They're understanding. Although...I dunno how they'd feel about," he gestured to his bodysuit and grinned sheepishly. "All this." "But anyway, I meet people up on the rooftops in downtown often," Nix offered. "I mean, sure, we can run into negas that way, but it's a pretty cool place to practice..." He nodded a little. "But also out of town in the woods works pretty great, too. Lots of trees to climb up, jump around, dodge through...and we're a lot less likely to encounter anybody so long as we're not by the hiking trails." "Either way works for me!"

"Glad to hear that. Parents who are understanding make a huge difference." Or so she had gathered but never experienced. "Mmm Let's go with Down Town, I think? I'm not too woods-wise, and knowing my luck, I'd fall out of a tree and break my leg." Also, the idea of climbing trees left her with the chills. She really did NOT like heights. She was going to have to force herself to get over that, but she wasn't there yet. It would take time. "Alright! Downtown, Friday at eight? Sounds good... I hope you don't mind me poofing pretty quickly... I think I need a shower, after all that nervousness and fear, you know?" Tolin Kalin Can be a Fin from me here, if you want?

"Okay!," Nix nodded in agreement, and described a specific building to meet at. He sort of neglected to mention he intended to be on top of said tall building, but he had said rooftops before. "The city's good for practicing running and jumping...and, er, brawling too, really! Lots of flat space." "I don't mind at all. First step to all this is to feel good about it, and that doesn't sound so great. Have a lovely night, Cheom!" He waved to her, and waited a bit to make sure she was alright, then turned and went about his business for the evening--which, honestly, was mostly just go home after a bit of a superpowered run. Aria Starstone Sounds good. Fin for me, too!
