Spottedkit was born in a better time. Prey ran well through the gorge and the surrounding woods, the river flowed, strong and steady, giving life to everything around it. He was the only kit born to the deputy of MountainClan, Strongclaw, and his mother, Honeytail. As one of the only kits born that green-leaf, the whole clan doted on him. He grew close to many of the elders and the Medicine Cat, Spottedfur, for whom he was named.

As moons past, Spottedkit became Spottedpaw and, with those paws, leapt into his warrior training. His mentor was his father who not only taught him battle moves and how to hunt, but also taught him strength in all things. He was a helpful young cat, always eager to take care of the elders and play with the kits, for he believed that without them there was no clan to protect.

Spottedtail earned his warrior name after finding a new hunting ground during leaf-fall. His desire to care for those around him grew with him. He was always the first to attempt peaceful resolutions to the clan's problems through the years, but also stood loyally by his clanmates when battle was called for. It was during this time that a she-cat approached him. Morningsky was her name. She was a sweet and loyal cat whose voice was always held with his in diplomatic manners. Love bloomed between the two, but they kept their feelings in check and always put their clan first.

It was as Spottedtail began to age that the mountain began to change. Prey grew more and more scarce and Twolegs seemed to be edging ever closer. After he had trained his third apprentice, the Sunseer approached him. As a senior warrior, their leader took their advice and counsel, but this was different. A sickness was worming its way into the clan and the clan deputy had fallen ill in the night. Spottedtail was asked to take over his duties until he recovered. He never did.

Years past and the old Sunseer went with it. Spottedtail took up the role as Sunseer and has since lead his clan as best he could. It has been nothing but struggle however. The river has disappeared and sickness and hunger have shrunk his clan down to a shadow of what it once was. His beautiful mate died with all but one if his first litter. What can he do to save his clan?

Sunseer, still laden with the weight of losing his mate, his kits, as well as half of his clan, seeks answers from SunClan and receives nothing. The clan is hurting, and questions are asked. Tired of feeling helpless, Sunseer takes a patrol out to gather water for the clan. What they find changes everything.

When SunClan finally gives him answers, they are worse than he was hoping for. The old and sightless seer leads his clan from their home and out of the mountains they've known forever. Sunseer starves to death, the clan moves on under new leadership.

After his passing, Sunseer continues to shape MountainClan's future by granting the new leader a new name and nine lives to serve her clan with.
