Cody was rather surprised she began to cry but he gently put his hadon her wrist/had, "Hey, no need for the tears, you didnt drag me into anything. We are just talking and im just listening, you havent forced me to or anything. I understand that things could be rough for you right now but im just here to help alright." He said reassuringly. He gently rubbed her arm to show that everything was okay and he wanted to help her feel better not because she was tearing up in public but because she was sad.

Cody looked at her when she spoke but when she hugged him, he was surprised but returned the hug gently, "No problem, Im happy to lend an ear to listen and talk." He said kindly, "Come on, lets just walk around and shop, even if we dont buy anything, it might get our minds off our problems and put our sadness behind us." He said as he would throw away their trash from lunch but somethingodd was he mentioned their sadness, not just hers, yet he seemed fine.

He thought it over when she spoke, he wasnt entirely sure, "Well we can just hit a few tourist shops... see the funny little trinkets people buy and then move on to looking at clothing shops that the locals have." He said as he heard what she said, "Well you have already told me so much about yourself, it only seems fair I give a bit about myself. Im here in this country because of a woman... i loved her and she pretended to love me. However with graduation she revealed herlove was false and that she was just acting. My heart was broken and out od desperation i tried to put as much distance between me and her." He said giving a bit about himself and why he was in her country.

Cody looked at her a bit in shock, he was not expecting to hear that from her and it almost seemed unbelievable, "Princess... of the kingdom..." he said as he wasnt sure how to process it, which he laughed slightly, "You... you're joking right?" He asked softly but looked around them, "Okay... even if that were true... you should go around announcing that... because as far as I know, the king doesnt have a daughter so lets not go telling everyone and risk someone wanting to hurt you." He said softly to her.

Cody saw her turn away a bit whixh hesighed, "Just give me time to process this... but for now, lets just go back to shopping alright... and its alright, i did make a promise to protect you, so i guess I am the princess's knight for the day." He joked slightly but would begind to walk with her towards the shops and such, his mind still trying to make sense of the fact she was the princess.

Cody nodded and walked with her to the shop which they looked at the clothes, giving his opinions about how she would look in which ever dresses shemay have liked. When they were dont with that shop however, as they began to leave, a man by the door grabbed Cody, twisting Cody's arm behind his back. The man was wearing a suit and Strider would know who he was as Cody was being hand cuffed. Cody gasped and was scared and surprised but when other suited men tried grabbing or taking Strider away he rushed his head back, hitting his guy in the face with the back of Cody's head. The suited man stumbled stunned but Cody got between them and Strider, protecting her like he promised even though his hands were now handcuffed behind his back, "Leave Strider alone!" Cody demanded but the man he had head butt and stunned looked at Cody, "You are under arrest by order of the king for kidnapping the princess." He stated as Cody was shocked more by how not only had Strider not been lying but they were accusing him for her running away.

Cody turned his head a bit and looked at her, seeing that she was crying which he turned, "You didnt do anything Strider and everythings going to be alright." He reassured but a voice was heard, "Why did you kidnap my daughter?" A voice asked as her father, the king suddenly appeared which Cody had seen images of him around, so he knew how he looked, "I didnt kidnap her your highness." He stated firmly, but continued to stay between her and the guards to protect her.
