Stillwaterite was smart enough to get the hell out of his way, which came as a relief. It gave Encke a moment to breathe, knowing that she was at the very least out of immediate range.

There was a part of him that was considering chasing her down despite the fact his back was screaming, jumping up to the roof where he heard her voice coming from, but another part of him was more concerned with the souls he had saved, and so he clutched them close, instead just eyeing her from below. These were more important.

More important than her words.

He would have snapped something back at her, but Stillwaterite did what all agents and corrupted senshi were prone to doing, and she vanished, likely running to Negaspace or somewhere out of the vicinity, considering he could no longer feel her aura. That teleportation bullshit was frustrating, always was, but Encke took a deep breath. It was fine. He got what he was looking for.

He had a few more starseeds that could go back to the Cauldron to get another shot, instead of being used to fuel the Negaverse's continued torment. Maybe he'd even been particularly lucky, and one of these belonged to one of the comatose people at the hospital.

But he knew she would try to get more. Her words, though painful, came as no real surprise.

It was just more he'd have to try and get back.
