Death? So the white haired woman wasn't intending to save her then. Or couldn't. Make a choice. The kitten pressed against her chin, and...that was that. Her own existence wasn't anything clearly, but if she could at least save this animal's--her--life, then--
Stormy walked dreamlike into the mirror, thoughtless as bid. There and back again, in new clothes that she felt quickly soaking. Something was pinned over her face now, though, and she struggled to move it out of the way. A veil? She only had time to take a cursory look at herself in the stormy twilight as time continued to march faster than her senses wanted.
Loreley. The name resonated with her, and she felt the thin hum of power just before the cat produced a pen-like object and dropped it at her feet. It sang like a song on the wind, coaxing her to pick it up and murmur words that didn't quite make it into her ears. All there was was the lost sound, the distant keening, calling her in familiar and somber tones. It made her heart ache in the same way it intimately knew, only worse. (Better.)
She found herself making the motion before thought returned, drawing back an invisible bowstring as the beast recovered. Her weapon shook despite the strength this new power gave her, and the energy gathered therein flew like a paper airplane, twisting awkwardly and dissipating into the wall. The second arrow formed in a panic and was true, striking the youma's shoulder and sinking in like it was made of paper itself. The creature made a choked sound and stumbled to a stop, lashing its cobra-like head in confusion against air and brick alike as it tried to shake off the cold piercing it.
The third arrow couldn't seem to form. Now reality was striking Loreley's mind, and the tears gathered in that time were beginning to spill from the emotional impact. She took a halting step back as they coursed over her cheeks. Nothing could have prepared her, whatever the kitten had said. Not even acknowledging said talking cat.
"Please," she begged the other woman. "Help me."

What a wonderful sight to see. A dark mirror who awakened, right into battle. Mintaka couldn't have been more proud and sad for the girl. A war she didn't ask for existed to burden her shoulders, but the powers she had would be liberating. What, she wondered, would bring from the future of this dark mirror.
She stood back to watch, as if Loreley acted within instinct and practice. The monster did not fall to the attacks though, so, just as Loreley turned to her for help, Mintaka took a step forward.
"Together." She smiled at her, taking a stand next to the woman and bringing her hand up, magic falling from her lips and the sky in the blizzard like storm of origami. "Aim for the head." She murmured, raising the girl's hands as the youma howled again.
"And you little kitten. You could use your beam." She reached down to poke her on the forehead. "Do you wish to help your senshi?" For all guardians that awoke the dark mirrors were their guardians after too.
"Together little ones." Just a little more, she thought as the dust from the youma started to rise from her second eternal attack. Just a bit more and they would have defeated the creature.

Reven felt a surge of pride as the new senshi stepped swiftly into action to call new magic. The first arrow missed it's mark, but the second struck true and the kitten gave a little cheering hoot as the youma hissed and snarled. But whatever pleasure she felt at that small victory was short lived as she noticed Loreley take a faltering step back, arms beginning to tremble as fear crumpled delicate features again. Reven whined at the sight of it, rushing over to push up against the poor girl's shin in an attempt to try to bolster her confidence. "It's okay! Don't give up, you can do this. Just a little more!" The pleading cut straight to the little kitten's heart. Aghast, she turned wide eyes up at the eternal as she fell back to stand at Loreley's side, beseeching and desperate. She didn't know what to do! Oh, right... She'd forgotten about the laser. ******** hope Silk doesn't find out about this. She'd just die. Shoulders squaring, the mau turned to step up between the new senshi's legs, shoulders squared and features set. "Let's do this!" Eyes narrowed, Reven sent a beam of dark light right at the approaching youma's scaled chest.

You can do it. Aim for the head. She singled out those words in her lightheadedness and pulled herself together. Something told her she'd have to make sure this last arrow hit anyway, as the previous two had sapped her of more energy than she thought she had to begin with.
Loreley drew the unseen bow back a third time as an origami blizzard once more took over the area. "Keening Arrow!" she half-shouted, half-cried, and the bolt of energy she gathered was let loose at the creature's head.
Slowed by the eternal's and cat's attacks, it was easier to aim at. The youma gave a final feral snarl, muffled behind the paper, before it collapsed into its own dust and disappeared. The wind and water seemed to make it ooze even further into the ground before disappearing.
Loreley hit the ground soon after, shaking with relief. "Oh...God...What...?"

The youma dissipated and Mintaka sighed in relief. She hated to be so harsh, but when the war came knocking, those that answered the call often were the ones that rose above.
She came to stand next to Loreley, before squatting down and her outfit pooling around her.
"This is what your life is going to be like now, Little senshi." Her gaze cut towards the guardian. "Your name, your powers, you resolve. You aren't ready, but no one is for war." She sighed.
"But you are of my court and we are family, Little one. You will never be alone, as long as you reach through the mirrors. We are here for you and..." She reached down to pet Reven's head. "The guardians are here for you too. Can you stand? Take pride....You downed a youma on your first night." She smiled. "You have the most promise I have seen in a long time."

"Yeah! Look at that!" She'd never seen a youma dust before. Probably because they were supposed to be on the same side, but as far as she knew the youma didn't much care for cats or the corrupted senshi they tended to ******** it. Self defense, right? Right. But Loreley was on the ground and Reven darted back to her, climbing up onto her lap to lay kitten paws on the poor girl's chest. "Are you alright? You aren't hurt or anything, right?" She hadn't thought the youma had gotten to her, but hell, what did she knew? She was new to all this? As Minitaka knelt down in front of them the kitten sank back down again to sit on Loreley's thighs, ears back as she listened to the eternal senshi, but as guardians were mentioned Reven nodded resolutely. "That's right."
