Ash plopped his hand on his sons head, ruffling a strikingly familiar hat and causing the young man to grimace. "Samuel. Named after one of my first professors back in Kanto. If my knack for battling and a professors poke smarts could find some kind of middle ground- it'd be my kid!" He wasn't wrong. And the woman did in fact look in dire condition. There were so many questions Samuel had for her, so many things he so desperately wanted to know, but most importantly- his father was covninced. But Ash always had a knack for Naivety. Sam looked at her with a determined face. He got up abrasively close to her, and peered into her eyes while he asked his question. Probably a good thing he brushed his teeth earlier. "Do you really love pokemon?" It was a question that shouldnt be too hard to answer or even infer just by looking at someone. There was only two types of people in this world after all. Those who love pokemon and those who dont. Sam didnt know the extent of her association with Team Rocket, but even so. Why would anyone who truly cared about pokemon even so much as pal around with the likes of them.

Trainer Agatha
Ash was confident that his son Samuel, appropriately named after the first professor of the Kanto region, would be able to train them for battle. At that moment, Rockruff scampered inside and leaped onto the crouch behind her. It buried its muzzle into her back and she could feel it shaking, the rocks on its neck clattered from its spastic movements. It must have been spooked by the more mature pokemon showing that it obviously wasn't prepared for social interaction yet. She sighed and turned slightly picking up the Rockruff and cradling it close to her body much like an infant. She was distracted by the pokemon until Samuel got her attention by leaning in close to her face. She subconsciously stepped back just a tad, before answer his question honestly. "My colleagues resented me for my affection towards pokemon. I knew I was different from the beginning, but Team Rocket was all I knew. I believed in their lies because it was life I was given, I believed my purpose was to serve them. I thought that no one would want me. I lived in that orphanage for so long with all stray pokemon to keep me company. When they accepted me into their organization I was happy. I wanted to pay back the pokemon that subsided my loneliness. However, reality isn't so kind. However, even before Team Rocket I knew I loved pokemon and still do!"   Astrid The RockruffAstrid calmed down as Agatha picked her up and cradled her like a baby. Then she looked at Sam and Ash before she buried her face with a small whimper, hoping they wouldn't hurt her. She peeked out at them, shyly, wanting to make friends but didn't know how to go about doing it.

Sam could see the determination in his eyes. No doubt this was a person who genuinely loved Pokemon. And it seemed Team Rocket liked to take advantage of more than just Pokemon. "Hm."Sam looked down at the Rock Ruff, then back at Agatha. "You gave your life for that Rock Ruff. I don't think there's anything else I can teach you." Sam smiled flippantly and turned shrugging. "Your already strong enough to me. But If battling tips are what you need, then I can surely help with that."

Trainer Agatha
The pup wanted to interact with Ash and Sam, but felt compelled to hide from them regardless. She knew one day Rockruff would break out of its shell and honestly they had a lot to learn from each other. As for Samuel, he figured she was genuine and didn't need help. At first she frowned, but he raised her spirits offering to train her properly for battle. "Thank you. I appreciate that." Agatha smiled before a heart sinking knock came from the door. Ash approached believing it was Professor Kukui whom locked himself out, but as he drew near the knocking became more abrupt. Ash's pokemon outside began unleashing attacks of their own free will only to be intercepted by other pokemon. "NO! LYCANROC...INCINEROAR!"
Within seconds the door was broken down and the house was invaded by masked Team Rocket members. Their pokemon had already been summoned and started aiming at random sections of the house. One of the masked men mumbled something to his flunkies as he pointed at Agatha. Ash jumped in front of the children turning the bill of his cap around to the back of his head. "You two leave now! Find passage off the island! Hurry, I've got this!" He called his companions to his side and smirked. It was just like old times for the nostalgic hero and with his experience he could take them out no problem. Agatha was ready to inject as she glanced at Rockruff knowing that the small pokemon still couldn't battle. She looked to Sam terrified hoping he would lead them down the right path. Astrid The RockruffAstrid got scared and started shaking as Team Rocket found them again. She then saw the Lycanroc from before battling in front of her. She had to wonder if she could do that one day. Though she was small and weak now, she wondered if she could be just as strong as Ash's Lycanroc.

All hell had officially broken loose. The entire house was being taken by team rocket. In a moment like this blood curling terror should be taking over. But yet, Sam shared the same amused smirk as his father. He looked down at Agatha, and what he saw there he supposed was what he should be feeling. He held out his hand, in hopes of banishing the fear in her, so she could smirk in the face of Team Rocket. Just like his father. "C'mon Agatha. This way now." He allowed her to take his hand and he led her through a door into a large common room where two Team Rocket thugs were struggling so desperately to wrestle down a rather large Tauros that had broken away from the huge flock out back. Sam stood there, almost seeming to pause for a moment. But then his Rilou lifted an arm and the team rocket grunts both floated effortlessly into the air, allowing the Tauros to knock them both out simultaneously with one massive headbutt. "Lets go get some fresh air. Our next step should probably be to find professor Kukui anyways." Sam led them outside through the hole in the all the Tauros had made. The side yard was just as chaotic as inside. Team Rocker Grunts were all over the property and two stepped in front of Agatha and Sam blocking their path. They brandished two large pistols and a poke ball in each hand. Out popped a rather angry looking Wartortle and an Aaron. Sam tossed out a pokeball from his belt and out popped a Charmaleon. The team Rocket grunt laughed. "2 on 1 and u pick A fire type? Boy you must be brain dead. Wartortle use Hydro Pump!"The wartortle leaped into the air and sucked inside its shell. It began shooting scalding water at an incredibly high pressure from the holes of it shell. But the Tauros from a second ago quickly jumped in the way, eating the hit easily with its massive hulking frame. "Aye. As you can see my dads Tauros knows bulk up. I knew he'd have our back. I just didnt want to tire out any more of my pokemon so I sent out my rather well conditioned buddy Charmeleon here.... Who do u think he was for?"Just then Charmleon sprang out from behind the Tauros flying right at the unsuspecting aaron. "Flame wheel!" Charmeleon built up a massive form in its chest which shot up and out revealing massive flames that spiraled like a pinwheel, smashing into and enveloping the aaron. causing it to faint instantly. The second team rocket grunt winced. And the other one got ready to shout a command at his now not so tough looking wartortle, but the large Tauros took priority and slammed the water type with a hard Tackle, causing it to smack right into the first grunt and Knock him and his wartortle out cold. "Blast it!" yelled the other Grunt. "How dare you sniveling runt!" He fired his pistol at Sam, but he didnt even flinch. And the bullet dropped not even a cm away from the barrel it exited from.

Tempest The Dusk Lycanroc RIOLU
RAGING LOVE. Riolu floated slightly off Sam's shoulder lingering in front of his face palm outstretched before the sniveling wimpering wretch in front of him. Riolu's emotion burned into the Team Rocket Grunt's head like a hot iron as Riolu invaded his mind and tore into it with sheer psychic brutality. The Team rocket heard all in Riolu's mind as he slowly lost his marbles. Only those Riolu made a telekinetic connection with could hear his voice, and he'd never let his beloved Sam ever hear this part of him. But at times it was necessary to protect those he loved. "It always happens. People think they're tough, humans think they're so smart, that they're unbeatable. Then they meet my Master or his father. And they all make the same spin in the opposite direction. No one can hold to their convictions. All these terrible insolent inconsiderate humans. No one will ever best my master. They should all just learn to accept it.
But they don't. So I refuse to allow their anger to reach my Master. " The Grunt writhed to the ground, but the gun remained floating in the air crumpling into a steel ball in mirror with the Grunts mind, before finally dropping. Hitting the ground simultaneously as the grunt finally silenced "Never."

Trainer Agatha
Rockruff was petrified by the commotion and in order to protect it she held it closer to her chest than ever before. It could probably hear the nonrhythmic sound of her frantic heartbeats. When she glanced at Sam he was far from worried and even looked enthralled by all this excitement. Courageously, he asked for her hand and she gave it to him without hesitation leaving their lives in his hands. He led her into the common room where they encountered two bumbling Team Rocket members. A majority of the time Team Rocket hires people whom are incompetent so it'll be less likely for them to question their superiors. Unfortunately, she just happened to be the ladder and ultimately betrayed her own fraction which was almost unheard of among their association. The thugs were fending off a large Tauros that had wondered away from its flock through all the chaos. The scene was comedic until Sam's Rilou lifted its hand levitating the two morons in the air. They were now vulnerable targets for the Tauros and it headbutted them both knocking them unconscious.
Sam suggested they head out to search for Professor Kukui seeming like the most logically strategy. They maneuvered through the raging field of Tauros until two Team Rocket goons intercepting them brandishing weapons. The shine from the sunlight reflected off the guns causing Agatha to gasp in fear. She knew Team Rocket was violent, but to resort to weaponry to capture her was to far. They called their fiendish pokemon to battle, those poor creatures corrupted unwilling, a Wartortle and an Aaron. Sam counteracted them with a Charmaleon as one of the goons insulted the boy's tactics. Wartortle used Hydro Pump as it jumped into the air hiding its appendages within its shell. Water blasted from the bumps protruding from its back, hence the name of the attack. Miraculously, the same Tauros from before protected them as it bunted the Wartortle out of the way. He knew for a fact that his father's pokemon would assist them as he saved his own Charmleon's strength for them specifically.
Charmleon targeted the Aaron as Sam shouted the command, Flame Wheel, sending out accumulated flames from its chest that formed into a spiraling pinwheel. It charbroiled the Aaron causing it to faint as the Tauros took care of the Wartortle along with its sorry excuse for a trainer. This infuriated the other goon as he fired his gun at Sam with a dud bullet. At the moment, if it hadn't have been a dud, Agatha still would have jumped in front of Sam to shield him from the hit. She leaned against Sam shivering from fear, but was relieved that the impact never happened as she looked up at Sam standing in front of him. "He could have..." She swallowed not wanting to think of the awful outcome. The goon started yelling and causing a riot as he attempted to fix his gun aiming it at them again. Agatha let out a yelp as she leaned into Sam gripping onto his sleeve with one hand while still cradling Rockruff in the other.
Luckily, Sam's Riolu had a telekinetic power that far succeeded any pokemon of its age as it destroyed the goons mind crushing it into oblivion. Agatha looked back just for a bit, but couldn't stomach the scene even though it was simply protecting its master. She could hear the goon mumbling incoherent slur before the sound of crushing metal rang in her ears. She glanced over her shoulder again to see the Riolu had relinquished their obstacle. Sam put his arm around Agatha before using his other arm to pull riolu thorugh his floating trance back onto his shoulder where upon re contact- the Riolu seemd to snap right back to happy cheerful and normal. Sam had seen this side of Riolu before. His wrath was immense... but so was his control. Sam suddenly thought back to a time then a young igglybuff had came bumbling along. It snatched the double popsicle id just split with riolu right out of its hands. Riolu ascended, and Sam began to fear the worst. But the Riolu instead simply floated the igglybuff back over to him, took back his popsicle, and lightly bopped the igglybuff on the head before releasing it, allowing the igglybuff to run away crying back to whatever shifty trainer was teaching it to steal. Riolu had wrath yes, but also judgement. Although it would still kill Sam to know exactly what was going on in Riolus head when he got so angry. They normally had perfect telepathy. "Professor kukui should be on his way here, If we take the road towards the main village we should run right into him. I have no doubt if KuKui has any idea whats going on right now- he'll be rushing right over."

Astrid The RockruffAstrid was shaking like a leaf by this time. She whimpered as she stayed close to Agatha, not wanting to leave the girl's arms. Her face was buried in Agatha's stomach as she shook, feeling like she was going to cry. Though Astrid wanted to protect Agatha, she was too scared to do so. She then looked up at Agatha once they were safe and said "R-Rockruff....." (Sorry.....) in a scared tone of voice, as she looked up at Agatha.

Sam embraced her with one arm while relieving Riolu with the other placing the pokemon on his shoulder. He insisted that they stay on the main road to the village so they could bump into Professor Kukui. Speaking of which they could hear his footsteps approaching not to far from them. Rockruff was still rattled and Agatha petted it gently hoping to calm it down. "Shhh, its okay Rockruff. We're safe now. Don't worry, we'll protect you." She smiled lightly as the professor spotted them running up to them. "Are you two okay? I heard the ruckus all the way down the road!" He will wore his hair in the same style expect now it was grey with age. His lab coat was buttoned up neatly and his pants were more formfitting giving his a professional appearance rather than a laid back one. "Yes, we're fine but we need to leave this place." Kukui agreed. "I figured as much. Their is my boat at the dock that will take you to the next island. Once there you will board a flying ride pokemon and make your way to its private sanctuary. Everything has already been arranged for you two since the minute you arrived." He placed a hand on Agatha's head, however, they didn't have much time to get acquainted. "You two need to go now, I'll go help Ash. Good luck." He winked at the two of them and jetted off down the path to the house. Tempest The Dusk Lycanroc

Sam took Agatha lightly by the hand and began leading her down the back slope of the yard to the road that led back to town. "The dock isn't far. I'm gonna grab a couple things from the shop and then we'll board on. Luckily Professor KuKui taught me how to drive his boat."They made there way down the road to the mart with minimal disturbances. The concentration of Team Rocket seemed to be on the house. So they were definitely targeting Agatha then, Sam thought to himself. "Agatha". Sam said as they boarded the professors boat. "Can you think of any reason Team Rocket may be targeting u specifically? other than that your a runaway?"

Trainer Agatha
Sam gently gripped Agatha's hand as they descended down a slope the led back to the road to town. He advised that they stock up on supplies before heading out which seemed like the most sound plan. This would give her an opportunity to find some new clothes instead of sporting Team Rocket's wardrobe. She found a light yellow dress with a cropped cream colored short sleeved jacket. She found thigh high stockings and cream colored shoes. Sam bought her a small light blue bag with a daisy embroidered on the front to hold all her items in which for now was Rockruff's pokeball. After the uninterrupted shopping spree, she boarded the boat with Sam finally placing Rockruff down. Her arms were aching and this whole journey made her more fatigued than she had ever been. Suddenly, Sam asked her why Team Rocket was targeting her specifically. She sighed and responded shakily, "I know their secrets. I've worked them for years and now that I've turned against them exterminating me is their own solution. Plus, they know I'll fight back and if I manage to take them down all the pokemon they've collected for warfare will be set free." Tempest The Dusk Lycanroc

Astrid The RockruffAstrid got a light blue collar with a daisy on it, which made her feel a little better around Sam and Riolu. She sat next to Agatha when she was placed on the seat next to her, looking up at her with worried eyes before placing a gentle paw on Agatha's arm trying to cheer her up. Astrid could sense that Agatha was scared, but Astrid was too. A smile was on Astrid's face as she looked up at Agatha, nuzzling her arm gently now wanting the young girl to worry about anything.
