Zephyr took the moment to look out the window, trying to figure out what exactly was going on. He had crashed, ended up here Looking like a younger but human- version of himself. With a sigh, he ran a hand through his hair and started mucking about the room.
Then the phone went off.
Looking down at the corpse as the phone went off, Zephyr stared for a moment then walked over to find the phone on the body. "Well, maybe his phone will have some information... Maybe some contacts to see if there's anyone else I know..."

The halls were quiet, the thunder was rolling softly in the distance and the rain soften but not entirely gone either.
As he picked up the phone, it was a text message from Hexxis, pulling up the conversation, the exchange were as follows:
Hexxis: Status.
Ree: In position. Breaking Cedric from Team B in 5.
Hexxis: Confirmed. In position.
Ree: En route to roof.
Ree: Problem.
Ree: Detour, can't run fast enough.
Ree: Going to nurses.
Ree: Hello??
Ree: TAKE OFF YOUR HEADPHONES
-there was few minutes that passed-
Hexxis: Status. What happened.
After a moment, there was another text.
Hexxis: Are you okay? Should I leave post to help? I know you said not to, but if you require assistance, please let me help.
Another crash of thunder echoed, lightning illuminated the already dim room, slowly flooding with soft orange light.

Moving to sit on the bed, Zephyr smiled a little at seeing Hexxis' name. Though, the smile faded a little as he resized that this wouldn't be the same Hexxis...but there was the possibility that it was. Leaning back in the bed and started to text back.
"The guy who owned this got killed by a scythe dude. I'm not sure what's going on, I just got here???" He sent the text.

There was sounds of movement above, more running, and possible struggle. Then silence.that one halfling Please roll a D20 in your response.

After a moment of no response, he muttered "ah, ********> Before getting up. Putting the phone in a pocket - if he had one - Zephyr stretched as he made his way to the door. "Lets see, if this is the academy, the the roof should be..." as he paused, he heard the struggle above. Cursing under his breath, he started towards the direction he thought the roof access was at.

It was the academy alright, and he could easily recognize he was on the second floor of three. Being a place he knew from his past, he could find the stairwell at the end of the hall, easily taking it to the roof.
The door to the roof was unlocked, and the rain was just letting up as the sun was starting to peek over the horizon. A girl was standing at the edge of the roof, hand gripping the fence that wrapped around the perimeter, curly black hair pulled up into a ponytail, and she was wearing a school uniform. The wind was picking up and she was wearing large headphones over her ears as she stared out at the sunrise.
Soft music was playing from her headphone, indicating it was loud enough to drown out the sound of thunder from earlier. She was alone, waiting, watching.

Once he got up to the rooftop, he let out a grumble, clearly not having liked being in the academy again. Looking at the girl in front of him, he wanted to go tap on her shoulder to get her attention, but considering that people seem intent on killing, he stood at the doorway. Taking out the phone, he texted the one that was labeled as Hexxis.
"Don't be alarmed, I'm behind you."

The girl was staring out at the sunrise as the phone in her hand lit up and she glanced down and read the text for more than a moment, obviously reading both texts now as she scrolled a bit. She stared at the screen for some time before she turned and glanced behind her. Looking over at Zephyr, the sun rising behind her as the wind blew her black hair out of her face. Her eyes were red and light blue, and there was a lack of any marking on her face. Her deadpan expression all too familiar as she stared him down. Slowly, she reached up and pulled down the headphones to her neck. She said nothing as she stared at him, standing there.
Her phone buzzed again and she looked at it, answering it. "....mmhmm... yes...... confirmed.... Ree is..." she paused, a small moment of restraint before she continued. "...he's dead." she finished, then made a sound of understanding. "Understood." she then hung up the phone and picked up her bookbag and moved to walk past Zephyr without another word, still keeping a keen eye on him.

Zephyr stood in the doorway, not moving from his spot. Putting the phone in his pocket, he looked at her, a small smile on his lips. "Hey, I'm new here, could you help me figure out what's going on? I know you're Hexxis, and the dead one is Ree - not sure about the scythe guy but he seemed pretty upset about just the thought of me joining your team... which I don't even know why there's teams.." he started, then stopped for a moment.
"Ah, right, forgot to introduce myself. I'm Zephyr Kardos." He smiled a little more, feeling a little amusement now that he realized that him joining Hexxis was the ' forbidden action'.

Hexxis approached and just stopped in front of him, expecting him to move, but when he didn't, she simply stared at him. "......no." she answered simply and deadpan. She blinked a bit when he said her name, but then glanced at her phone in her hand and seemed to assume that was how he got her name. "....join my team?..." she stared at him a moment, simply letting him speak.
".....Hexxis Heart." she responded, introducing herself. "The one with the scythe is Cedric... it is not important, he's been disposed of in retaliation." she spoke matter of fact. "He does not want you to join my team, because Team B does not want to lose. You are lucky to have only come across them and not the other teams. In fact, I am surprised to see that Cedric did not kill you on the spot, team or no." she spoke then looked behind him as a bell rang. "It will be time for class soon. I must go." she announced softly in a monotone voice. "I need change my clothes... and so should you." she glanced to her own drenching wet school uniform then motioned to his normal-looking street clothes.

"Well, Hexxis, it's a pleasure to meet you." He smiled a bit more, then looked down at his own clothes. "Ah, I got here sometime last night but got into an accident so I have no idea if I'm even supposed to be here... so far you're the only one who's even remotely answered what's going on.. Could you help me a little more? " Zephyr asked, hoping that she would agree, but knowing Hexxis, she wouldn't.
With a shrug, he looked to one side "But if you don't want to help me...ah, well... come what may." He hoped the last little bit of one of their songs might do something.[/color

Hexxis said nothing, looking at her phone for the time, appearing to think on it. ".....it is my responsibility to do so. Please come with me." she spoke. There was a slight pause at his next words, but she seemed more confused than anything else, even if only a flicker of such.
She moved past him and led him back down the stairs and to one of the changing rooms meant for P.E. She knocked softly on the male's door and when there was no answer, she opened it and walked in. Moving directly to a locker, she unlocked it and took out a uniform, holding it out to Zephyr. "This was my brothers. Please get changed. School is in one hour. Do not be late" she turned to leave and paused at the door. "It is forbidden to stay after dark in the school, all students are to go to the dormitory rooms for curfew. No exceptions." she added sternly.

Zephyr happily followed behind her, looking rather pleased that he was finally getting some help in this god forsaken school. "So why are there teams and fighting?" He asked, taking the uniform and looking at it. It had been years since he last wore one. Hell, he still had his wings back then.

Hexxis turned to him and moved forward, forcing him back and slamming her hand against the locker next to him as she came face to face with him, her eyes intense with a certain seriousness. "There are four teams. A, B, C, and D. I am Team A leader. At night, the game ensues. The rules are simple. Kill the other teams. Only when there is one team left, that the Twilight Stone appears. The winner will have their wish granted. There can only be three people to a team. With Ree gone, I can accept another player. The fact that you know this makes you a viable player in the game. So if you stay at school after the sun goes down, you will be killed. The game can only be played when the sun is gone." she explained. "You are not to speak to anyone about this.... if they find out you know, you will become an immediate target of all the teams to keep you from joining where there are open spots." she added then pulled away. "I will see you in class, Zephyr. Do not be late, or you will get detention." she warned then turned to leave, this time, not allowing any more questions in fear she might be late, leaving the room and she was gone.
There were soft sounds of people in the halls as students would start to arrive early for class.

There was a sudden blush to his face at the sudden shift in proximity between Hexxis and himself, if anything out of habit because he still loved her no matter what. "I'll.. see you in class." he said sheepishly after Hexxis moved to leave. Once Hexxis was gone, Zephyr took a deep breath and let it out as he looked down at the uniform. "school again...lovely.." he muttered before changing into it.
Once in the uniform, he adjusted it a little and then had the sudden realization. He looked human - could he even use his powers while he was in this strange other world? There was only one way to find out. Holding out his hand, Zephyr focused on pulling the shadows into it in an attempt to create a dagger out of shadows.
