Before either of them could say anything else or get away otherwise they were approached by a young woman, eyes bright and grin broad. Neither of them were likely to recognize her immediately-- of the two it was Courtland who stood more of a chance to as she didn't believe Halston had ever seen her outside of uniform. "I was hoping this would be more of a surprise, but since you're here I guess the cat's out of the bag."

The voice accompanying the woman was so naggingly familiar that it grated on his nerves, instantly setting him on edge. The glamor that protected them kept him from knowing why he knew it, trying to redirect his thoughts away from the why or how of it all. "They're ******** everywhere."

Overhearing the man who was her Lieutenant in another part of their lives, Katrina Halloran laughed. "No, not everywhere, but we've a very good reason to be here... And since you threw your qualifying run, you can meet me tomorrow morning, bright and early. You too," she added on to Courtland as an afterthought. "Provided you don't have any plans."

"Hmm. If he's already requested your assistance for the evening I'm sure you'll be right where I need you to be. Doubt you'd be much help with setting up the next course anyways." Her lips remained curved in a pleasant smile as she addressed Courtland. One day he'd catch on enough to know that Uvarovite was very likely to lend her the services of Nitratine should she request it-- especially when his evening plans were supposed to line up with hers, provided the second round of the competition went off without a hitch.

For the millionth time he drew in a deep breath, releasing it slowly while counting backwards from ten. He didn't need to make a scene. The last thing he needed right now was to make a scene...

As he opened his eyes he narrowed them at the woman, unable to keep that bit of irritation out of his expression, let alone his voice. "Little heads up would be nice next time-- for the record. Let me know when and where and I'll be there."

Whatever the crazy b***h had planned, he was certain enough he wouldn't want to miss out on it if they'd gone through such lengths to set up such an elaborate rouse.

"Of course! You'll receive additional instructions later on this evening! For now, make sure to enjoy your suite-- on us, of course. Kaijuu Energy thanks you for your participation!" Her chipper voice and fake display back for the moment, Kat flashed them one more grin before leaving the two, not wanting to give either of them the opportunity to talk back.
