Of course she just ******** teleported. It was one of the most irritating things about the Negaverse in his opinion, the fact that they could just decide to pop themselves out of the way and go elsewhere. Encke was unamused. He hadn't wanted to cast his abilities, but she might leave him no choice. "Nothing except for my semblance of a normal life," spat Encke, swirling around to face her. "And that's fine. I gave that up long before I ever had this power." More thoughts bubbled to his mind, threatening to derail him. He swallowed them down. He needed to stay focused. It was hard. He felt the edges of his focus straining away. Every little thing she said and did caught his focus, flew it elsewhere, and his brain desperately just wanted to wallow on the words of Bar-- "I act in defense of others," stated Encke, because that was different. "You're an," word word what was the word, "aggressor." He started to lift his arm to cast his ability, but his focus came crashing down when she mentioned Methone. She had been a recent contact of his, but a good one. This woman wasn't threatening her, was she? "Yes." He quirked a brow. "What's it to you?"

"That's funny." She mused. "I'd say I'd act in the defense of others and that you're the aggressor." Still's gaze sharpened as the senshi started to lift his arm. She knew what that meant. He had been going to cast, but the mention of the Aurora senshi had forestalled it. Interesting. She was watching him like a hawk now though, and ready to react should he actually go through with casting. "Oh, just curious~" She replied. "She's a rather friendly thing. Just sprung up on me one day and gave me a kiss and just had her arms around me...does she do that to you, too?" She was also idly wondering when she had gotten into messing with senshi. "I also couldn't help but wonder if transcendents were drawn to one another...but it seems like they are! It's good to know." It was advantageous to make connections and connect dots when possible. It was good to keep tabs.

Encke might have dared to challenge her on calling him an aggressor if he wasn't so sidetracked by the fact that she was talking about one of his allies. That sing-song tone was irritating for sure, but Encke forced his mind to stop trying to wander away for a few more moments to focus on the what of what she was saying. It was interesting that Methone seemed so friendly to her, in the way she had been so friendly to him. From the impression he had gotten, she despised Chaos, or feared it at least. Wanted to protect her friends from Chaos anyway. Wanted to protect them so they weren't-- Encke squinted. --so they weren't corrupted. "She's very warm and friendly, yes," offered Encke, warily. "We met because she detected my aura, pretty sure. Transcendent auras are hard to miss." He wasn't going to add that it had been a transcendent super aura Methone had detected. He had been a senshi since 2011. No reason to rub in how long it had taken him to get here, to Eternal... "I haven't met a whole lot of transcendents though--" wait why the ******** was he engaging-- "Anyway, give me those starseeds back and I'll be on my way."

He had that right. Transcendent auras were a nearly blinding annoying bright spot on the mental radar. "Be a dear and tell her I said hi, won't you?" She grinned, and cocked her head at the eternal. Another good thing to note. Apparently there weren't that many transcendents. She was amused that he had been starting to explain, but noticed and cut himself off. Her gaze lidded as she regarded him, and the grin simmered into a knowing smile. "You're not getting those starseeds back, Encke." She told him. "And I'm not beyond teleporting now while I have the gain. So you'll be on your way... empty handed."

Try him.Encke was done with this taunting, with her lidded smiles, with attempting to hold a conversation for whatever reason. She had starseeds in her pocket, and that made her go from a noncombatant to someone who needed to be defeated, or at least delayed while he snatched the starseeds out of her pocket. He didn't flinch or pause for a moment with a shout of, "Cometary Burn!" Quote: "Cometary Burn!" - Encke points his finger out towards the target. An ethereal comet flies forward, the tail of the comet detaching as it does. The comet slams into the ground at the feet of his target. This creates a shockwave in a fifteen foot radius, potentially knocking people off balance. In the meantime, the air heats up, and a blast of plasma from the detached tail spreads out to fill that radius. It’s hot. It’s shocking. It burns. This attack causes the sensation of second to third degree burns to his adversaries for 45 seconds, with the potential for lasting damage. ( Usage: Once per battle. Duration: 45 seconds. Range: 15ft radius around the target. Weaknesses: The shockwave doesn’t discriminate, and anyone except Encke within the radius can be knocked over by it.)

She thought she had been ready for it, but Encke had proven her wrong. It was always difficult to gauge how a senshi's magic would manifest---right until it was actually happening. The corrupt stumbled as the comet impacted, and the shock wave rippled. While she wasn't thrown onto her back, the only way she could keep upright was by falling to a knee. As if that wasn't bad enough, there was an after-effect too. Still's lungs burned after the blast, and that wasn't the only thing starting to burn. She knew what she needed to do, and there was no shame in using her abilites to flee this encounter, especially after being caught off guard. The corrupt blinked of of existence, teleporting away back to Negaspace.

Encke could tell by the reaction as the comet impacted against her body that she hadn't expected him, that she perhaps underestimated him, and a smirk formed across his face that could almost be described as arrogant. To Chaos, it might have seemed more villainous. Now was time to put his plan into action, while she was down and burning after the blast. He moved rapidly to break the distance between them, reaching out with one hand to snatch the coat off her body-- Just for her to disappear again. It was hard to say he wasn't expecting the move. Of course she ran away. She seemed like the type that was all talk and no fight, or at the very least, was more inclined to taunt than fight. Though he knew she couldn't hear him, it didn't stop him from shouting out a, "Coward!" into the wind. After a moment, after the adrenaline faded, it hit him that Stillwaterite disappeared with starseeds. He shouldn't have let her innocently sitting there lull him into conversation. She had been an active threat the whole time. He'd have to remember that for next time.
