Tobais nodded, managing a small smile and drawing away. This was going to be okay. This wouldn’t end up being as bad as it seemed...it wasn’t going to end badly and Evan wouldn’t just break up with him...that wasn’t like Evan at all.

“I’ll keep you informed, Zac. I promise. I...I’m sorry.”

Though he wasn’t sure what he was apologizing for...it just felt right to say it. He felt almost...ashamed for what he was, and that wasn’t a feeling that he was used to. Shame for stupid things sure, but never for being a part of this organization. The Negaverse had always been his source of pride and his ticket to power...it couldn’t possibly be as bad as Zac was making it out to be but…

But he couldn’t lose Evan. He wouldn’t.

Swallowing hard and wiping what blood he could from his face, Tobias gave a small wave and turned around, happy that the interaction was over, but feeling a strange, unhappy ache in his stomach due to the whole thing.

Now wasn’t the time to dwell on it though. Now was the time to focus everything he had on the one that mattered.
