Phaethon was not good at star navigation, no, and it made him laugh a bit when that was brought up. He, if he was honest with himself, very closely fit the stereotype of a city kid who'd never been out in the countryside. His family had probably taken him out there when he was a kid, but he didn't remember it. So, as far as he was concerned, it didn't actually count. Pretty much all of his family lived in Destiny City, so there wasn't really any reason to travel. Hell, most of them either lived in the same house or in another house nearby.

No space aliens out in the woods? That, he had to admit, was a very attractive quality of the great wild outdoors. He would probably want to bring a phone, or a map, or something. If he was going to go off the trails, he would have to have something to find his way back. Otherwise, he could end up very lost very quickly, and that would lead to--at best--really awkward and involved questioning when he was finally found and brought back to proper civilization.

Maybe he'd stick to the trails, for now, if he went. There was probably a time of day they were less populated, right?

"I could get used to no space aliens to worry about," he confessed.

Actual alien? Maybe, a year ago, Phaethon would have been doubtful. Now, not so much. Now, he had seen monsters and talking cats--oh, they were aliens? That made sense actually--and Lord only knew what else. But he, himself, being a space alien?

He looked down at himself. Well, he could put on a white, gold, and berry-red getup complete with low heels with just a few words. He had... some sort of magic that could help other people feel better. There were, from what he could tell, literally dozens of other people like him, plus others that were similar. He guessed that could be "we were all raised in houses built on top of a nuclear test site so now we have mutant superpowers" kinds of coincidence, but... probably not.

Man.

Space alien.

His mother would lose her mind.

"I mean, nothing has been all that simple," he shrugged, gesturing at himself--and a little bit at Nix--as he said so. Space aliens... He was possibly a space alien...

Phaethon listened with rapt attention as Nix continued with the explanation. He knew "starseeds" as a word existed, of course. He'd heard other people say it a couple times before, he was pretty sure. But he wasn't sure if he'd heard the bit before about the starseeds being souls or if he'd sort of... extrapolated that on his own. They were the core essence of people, after all, and he knew bad things happened when they were removed. To call them a "soul" didn't seem at all far fetched to him.

He was pretty sure his grandparents and great-grandmothers would have some choice words in Polish to say about that, of course. Not that would Phaethon would understand what those words meant, of course. Those were also words that they told him they'd tell him the meaning of when he got older and then just... seemed to have conveniently forgot to do just that. He could guess, of course, but...

He looked up at the sky when Nix pointed, taking a moment to marvel at it, and at the concept. He'd used his pen to travel before, once, and had almost gotten burned alive, but... "Oh, I did that for the first time last week... It... was pretty wild the one time I did it. Hot, though." It'd taken a couple days for his skin to stop feeling weird and warm and pinched after he'd tried to visit his namesake. That was what he'd surmised had happened, once he had hunted around for a little more information on what that button had actually done and had found the guides and information that he'd somehow managed to miss previously. Now, he hadn't been able to get back there, yet, mainly because he hadn't had time.

Maybe he'd bring sunscreen next time, as if that would help...

"Well, the sun was super, super big. I guess it's close to the sun?" Phaethon laughed, a bit. "It's an asteroid, and its orbit takes it in close to the sun sometimes. I guess it's in close to the sun right now." Maybe when it was less up close and personal with the sun, Phaethon would be more readily able to visit it. As it was, he wasn't sure if just sunscreen would be enough to protect him if he got caught in the sunny side of his asteroid again. He was pretty sure it wouldn't be.

It protected against sun, not sheer burning heat.

It was a sappy thing to say, but Phaethon didn't seem to mind it. "Well, I guess I can have fun and train myself to be a superhero." He definitely had way more powers than Batman, so he was honestly ahead in that game...

"It was hot, and terrifying," Phaethon admitted with a small laugh at himself. "I ended up coming back really quickly, because the sun started to rise and I was pretty sure I was going to catch on fire." At the mention of training, he paused for a moment. "I don't think I can cause any damage, so I don't know how much fun it would be to train with me." Phaethon wasn't sure, having not yet had too many chances to practice with it, but he got the feeling that 'Warm Fuzzies' didn't have any surprises waiting in that direction. "But I mean, sure, if we can work around that." When Nix dropped into a fighting stance, Phaethon was startled, at first.

"Oh, uh... sure!"
