If the boy lack in anything, it definitely wasn't determination or attention. Souta heeded his mother's words carefully, practicing what she'd taught him a couple time before moving on to the actual practice itself. This time he was infinitely more successful, though it couldn't be said that he was a master of the process by any means. Again the kunai was his most accurate, striking dead center of the target. It wasn't nailing a bullseye half that size at a full sprint, but it was good for his skill level. The shuriken sunk itself in the next ring out, deep from the power he was able to generate but not as accurate. The senbon found only the outermost ring, all but completely disappearing into the straw circle. It was clear he'd always be more comfortable and effective with something that favored power, but he was at least on target with everything now. "How's that?" He said with a subdued excitement, clearly happy with the outcome of the first two throws and satisfied with how quickly the change had come about.
"Exactly!" Jeon told him when the projectiles mostly hit the marks they were aiming for. "Honestly, there are a lot of different sizes and shapes for projectiles. It takes a bit of getting used to when it comes to throwing things like, uh, giant shuriken or large spiked balls. It might seem a little stupid to do, but some of the most impressive ninja I've ever met were the kind who picked up wooden blocks and launched them across the world." Jeon offered a shrug. "Hmm. So today we went over hand to hand, staffs, throwing things. I could teach you how to do some other unorthodox things," she said swinging a nunchuk from inside of her sleeve over her shoulder, allowing her tone to trail off as a man in a dragon mask drew her attention. He made a sign, and then poofed. She was being hailed? Jay must have needed her. "I think, though, that it may have to wait. I have some things to take care of Souta. It might be something dangerous." She kneeled in front of him once again, taking his face in her hands, soft though somehow still strong. Only a mother could have those kinds of hands. "How about you keep at it, and then come to the spire later tonight? If I'm not there I will be. I love you Souta. I always have, and I always will." She would kiss his forehead four times and give him a hug. When she let go, she'd cover his eyes to close them for a second, and by the time he opened them she'd have already disappeared in a very brooding superhero way.
Conveniently, Unki didn't take too long to find the place she needed to be to stretch her limbs and practice a couple new tricks. The transition was quick.
She wasn't particularly fond of having to pick up her studying after this long. The material to review felt oddly familiar and seemingly able to fall back into the mindset of practice. The maneuvers to review were of rapid nature and needed for her to acquire stance to quickly change from one stance, to another, onto a kick, and exert her energy. [1/1 ]

The flow of things was returning and a more difficult maneuver came into question. A complicated mess of locking the opponent's joints and slowing them down. With Unki reviewing the steps she reminded herself of the extent of the effects of the technique and the amount of energy she would exert would reflect on its effect. Moving onto the spiffy knife work, Unki held the blade in her hand and proceeded to study the art of jamming one's super-powered elbow into an animate straw opponent. Something that would be great for a basic stun and probably, knocking out a heartbeat or two. Other items she studied included the art of being more quiet in her movement. Her job required stealth after all, right? Knife juggling was a good trick she'd find handy too, say, she needed to show off her inclined reflexes. [1 - 3 In 1]

With her blade the practice would be similar in a sense to that of her weapons-free techniques. Unki took the small blade from its sheath, a flawless draw, and feigned an attack to mimic the movements of someone who was actually being attacked. One tactic she reviews recalls the timing needed to grab her opponent's arm and deliver a terrible twist and leaping over to inflict the enemy. Other moves were a tad more complicated and, frankly, Unki was relieved they called for more knife work. [1 - 3 In 1]

Stage [6] Unki had to square herself up to face the straw target dummy. The next move in mind was a nasty sucession of attacks. The girl leapt to position herself atop the dummy's "shoulders" and finagled her legs to wrap around it's would-be neck. From there she had two gruesome options that ultimately put the enemy into a bind that could force a costly exit. She bailed on exerting herself to try one of the two gruesome paths and bowed for a different technique. Unki pushed off from the dummy to land behind and angled her arm to ready a stab into the back of the straw contender.

Unki followed through with her strike and sprung forward. The study of this style left her feeling more refined. Better, in the art of maneuvering and timing her attacks. Her reflexes had improved overall with the complete study of the style that she felt confident in her ability to snatch projectiles out of their path of flight despite the dispence of energy. As a plus, this stealth ready sword style instilled a more effective method of expressing her noise reducing skills. Totally "ninja" if you ask her.

A style that uses a bladed weapon to "mold the flow" of combat " to the user's will". This addtional style of swordplay wasn't Unki's initial pick but it will have to do. She was uncertain how her small blade would shape up to the challenge of learning the style and even after following through with the first thrust of her blade, she still had her doubts. The first techique was a "basic" step and nothing elaborate. The next series of steps for the linear manuever were just a tad more complex than the last. It was safe to say she was beginning to wish she could fulfil that close-knit sword style she's become somewhat accustomed to.

There was a technique that made her think of longer blades that another may fight with. She would already be at close distance and the item she studied sounded like she'd be creating an even closer distance to fight in. How close can a person get to their opponent without being on their shoulders? Unki rolled her eyes as she recalled a prior technique that focused on just that, hopping on an opponent's shoulders, but that technique was regrettably out of reach. A piviot block came next on her list of study. The pivot, if accomplished well, would be effective.

Solid footing! The art of keeping her footing solid is turning out to be a more costly endeavor than she initally anticipated. Not anticipating the act of keeping herself sturdy would be difficult was a dorky thing to not take into account, even after fulfilling a quick paced sword style. Her chakra would be the anchor! The same energy that boasted its ability to create invisible anchors on her feet could also sharpen the "air" about her short sword. The concept made her think of a wind based technique she favored. She didn't fully comprehend the Twin blade, however, as it sound liked a sheath of energy that just lagged along with her swings. Maybe it would be useful for turning really close combat into not so close combat?

It isn't often that Unki finds herself comparing a steel edged sword to a soft bristled brush gliding along paper. With the accumulation of this technique, a quality of the brush is imparted to the sword user. A light brush against paper may be moved swiftly and with the latest knowledge acquired, the speed of playing with brushes carries onto that of swinging a sword. The effectiveness of a sword is an addtional plus too, with the brush stroke technique, and it's quite the disarming little feature. Unki giggled at her playful connection of the two techniques she was studying.

Unki only used one weapon, her short sword, and the only other weapon she could find use for are simple kunai. Any fancy moves like Swordslinger would just be extra bells and whistles she would get to know just in case. But a bit of knowledge like Thread Walking was more useful than a quick change of weaponry. She imagined herself needing to walk on a tiny line with her little sword at the ready. But she has gone beyond those two items and had moved onto a more advanced version of walking on threads, a form in which she may fight and actually use her little sword.

As for continuing any sword training, Unki didn't feel up to it anymore. Physical activity was freeing but something difficult to describe felt limiting to her progress, the sensation was hard to explain. Fatigue maybe? The need for rest? Souta was a bit worried about what his mother was saying, but he trusted her to come back and gladly accepted the affection. He'd need to put in some effort if was to live up to her expectations, however. Couldn't have her off doing dangerous things and not put in some effort into training. He opened his eyes again with a sigh and started to hone in on what he wanted to get done.
With mischief on her mind, Yuno made her way to the dojo. It was here that she would create yet another art piece. Sadly space was very limited. [1] It was summer time so the walls had been removed. The cieling while an excellent choice was probably too high... No that was no longer true anymore. [2] Sure Yuno was short and the ceiling was several feet above her but she was a ninja now... Well she was at least in training to be one. But father had taught her how to climb walls and if she could climb walls she could scale a post and hang from the ceiling. [3] A plan of action had been formed. Now all that remained was to execute it. Her technique for sticking to surfaces was still imperfect yet it did get the job done. Soon enough she was hanging from the rafters like her monkey brethren hung from trees. [4] Finally it was time to get to work. Grabbing one color can at a time she began to spray out her second masterpiece. This time it was a less serious painting, a more childish one. She was careful to craft a monkey first, its face drawn wide with laughter and its hand pointing with glee. Next she sprayed out the image of a person, their face covered in monkey s**t. Atop their head was a kage hat.

Just after finishing her little art project Yuno got a tad over hysterical at her own work and accidentally dropped her backpack. There was quite the loud clanking as her spray paint bottles banged against each other. She stopped laughing and immediately went deathly still.What if someone had heard. Surely somebody would come rushing in. She needed to act fast and split before one of the instructors caught her. It was too early for the fun to end now. Transitioning to hanging by her hands from a rafter she let her self drop quietly to the tatami floor and quickly moved to grab her bag.

A lanky arm reached towards the oblivious girl's bag, and her taller counterpart snatched away the article as she raced for it. He'd always been a bit faster, and well, she was a little too obvious. She'd rushed right past him, granted a good ways away but still past him, as he was headed out of the facility. Naturally he had to tail her back around and see what was up. "I should go bug one of those losers taking creep shots, see if I can't get a camera to preserve this particular moment for mom." He said with a goading smile. "Don't you think you could have, I don't know, put a bit more detail in that one?" He asked, seemingly unsurprised by the act itself, as he lazily peered up at the rushed painting. He really wished she'd at least take some time to put in a bit of effort, considering there was basically no way he wasn't getting implicated in this - what with having been in here training the last time anyone of any authority checked on it.
Yuno wheeled about face as she went past her bag. Gross lanky arms had snatched away her personal belongings and that made the little one mad. "Not knowing what creep shots are non withstanding, give me back my belongings!" Her face was flustered and she was clearly upset with the current situation. Her mouth perhaps running a little bit out of a lack of self control stemming from being a child. "It's not like painting up there was easy! Plus I'm trying to make a bunch of murals before my fun gets spoiled so time is a factor." Perhaps the truth would get her older brother to not have a stick up his a**. Nobody liked a tattletale.

[Kaylay] moved around to the side of the dojo building to find a large boulder in the shade. They climbed atop it and took a cross-legged position, holding a handseal at their chest. They began to focus their chakra and every so often would swap to a new handseal and continue focusing. They continued this chakra control and mental exercise process for quite some time before being ready to get to their training.

"I guess I can beat you again," [Keelee] yawned out to their twin. The two hopped up from the boulder and moved to a dirt patch, now facing each other. "Let's start." Unlike them in every way, the first person to move was [Keelee], who came rushing in and throw a high round kick at [Kaylay]'s head. The attack would seem to connect, but [Keelee]'s leg would travel through their twin's head before the image disappeared. [Kaylay] had moved quickly down and to their twin's side, leaving behind an after image. They followed up with a swift uppercut at the sleepy twin's head, which they quickly responded to with a cross-armed block. The uppercut would continue until it collided with the block, but simply vanished instead of making contact. Just then, an impact smacked into the back of [Keelee]'s head as [Kaylay]'s kick made contact.

The Keles ______[Kaylay] & [Keelee] "Did you forget I'm better at close range!?" The twins both jumped back after the kick connected and reset the fight. [Keelee] rubbed the back of their head, a annoyed that they took that hit. [Kaylay] would shout over, "Let's go hard, sib! Get out your knuckles!" At that moment, the sleepy twin sighed as heavy as they could, but would take the advice. Both twins reached into their back pockets and slid a pair of brass knuckles onto their hands. It was time for them to step up their game and train for real.
Darting forward first again was [Keelee]. They dashed forward as fast as they could and, about ten feat away from [Kaylay], they seemed to split in two different directions, one curved to the target's left and the other to the right. [Kaylay] dash forward toward the form on their left and swung a full power jab to their face. The attack went clean through what was really an afterimage. At this moment, they turned around quickly to defend themselves as they saw the same powerful jab coming from their twin this time. [Kaylay] crossed their arms to block the incoming strike and, just as they had attacked before, felt no impact as the apparent afterimage reached the block. A second later, a full power jab sunk into their stomach as [Keelee]'s attack connected for real.

The Keles ______[Kaylay] & [Keelee] [Keelee] inquired minutes later. Their twins was just now standing up from the ground. Instead of responding with their words, [Kaylay] gave a nod and entered a boxer's stance. The battle was back on. At this moment, the two were about five feet away from each other. [Kaylay] Would throw a jab into the air, but project a solid afterimage forward and deliver a jab to their twin's forehead, stunning them for just a few moments. [Kaylay] took this moment to channel their chakra and create another projection of their own arms that enveloped their arms as almost an aura of being an afterimage. As their twin came to, they had just dashed forward and launched another jab to the gut. As it connected, two quick attacks were felt, followed by yet another one, increasing the damage even further.

The Keles ______[Kaylay] & [Keelee] [Keelee] reeled back a bit after the attack connect. It was solid and way unexpected. But that got them a bit pissed off. Instead of dropping to the ground, despite how badly they wanted to just go back to sleep after that hit, they ran forward in a full sprinted as [Kaylay] responded by stepping quickly back and eventually jumping on top of the boulder they were sitting on earlier. [Keelee] threw a full powered punch at the boulder they were standing on and took the impact into their arm without a wince to the pain. A normal strike would not only hurt like a b***h, but would stop their. A second later, [Keelee's] fist would push into the boulder and then dig through the stone and shatter the large rock into bit. [Kaylay] leaped off from the boulder and landed behind their twin, absolutely stunned at the capability to shatter such a large boulder.

The Keles ______[Kaylay] & [Keelee] "Hey! Were you trying to kill me with that one!?" [Kaylay] was fighting seriously, but definitely wasn't trying to use that much power in an attack against their other half. Perhaps waking them up with that shot to the gut just before was a bad idea.
"I know it could have killed you, but that's why I aimed at the rock. But let's see how you take this shot." [Keelee] darted in quick and shot a full power punch with their rear hand, turning their whole body into the shot to give it the maximum power they could add. Their energetic counterpart side stepped to the left to avoid the attack and, while they did feel a moment of relief, [Keelee] would turn around backward and deliver an elbow to their face.

The Keles ______[Kaylay] & [Keelee] The hit was solid and [Kaylay] definitely felt themselves reeling. It was obvious that both twins were hurting and exhausted, but this spar was nowhere near over. [Kaylay] stepped back a few feet, but [Keelee] dashed in quick and shot a single jab quickly into their left shoulder. The attack wasn't strong, but they released a small amount of chakra into their twin's body that allowed them to keep a lock on them at all times. With their body as worn out as it is, [Keelee] wouldn't be able to keep up with [Kaylay] is they began to use afterimages. The twins stalled at this point. Each of them needed a second to regain composure and to focus on their opponent. They both seemed to focus and become extremely aware of the presence of each other's positions and the angle from which the were viewing each other.

The Keles ______[Kaylay] & [Keelee] After a few moments, the twins regained their composure to fight. [Kaylay] dashed back to gain some space, but was instantly followed by their twin. [Keelee] was somehow maintaining the exact same distance between them as they dashed all around the sparring area. [Kaylay] knew there'd not be many ways to shake them off so they thought of the perfect way to counter them. They stopped suddenly and allowed their twin to get in closer before striking the ground with a full force punch. The ground below them for four meters out from where they stood in the center would shatter and erupt up from the ground. Chunks of earth slammed into the body of [Keelee] and sent them flying back a few meters.

The rank of this technique is the rank of whatever technique the opponent used to flee. Using this technique, the distance between the user and the enemy remains constant.
Hibiware [ Fissure ] Rank: X :: Simple Description: A strike that shatters whatever it touches. When used on the ground, naturally occurring structures, or buildings, it causes large fissures to appear in a 2 meter radius per rank around the point of impact; if used against armor or defensive techniques, it does normal damage as though it were one rank higher, but only affects the area within half a meter of the impact point, allowing the user to create holes in otherwise sturdy defenses.
