 Talos was back at the oasis waiting for Aster by the time he returned, guarding a couple of jackalopes. "In case you didn't catch anything." He said, nudging one with a paw. "I can imagine it can't be easy hunting somewhere you're not used to."
"Well I'm glad to have made your acquaintance. It's always nice to make new friends." He said then. "You're welcome to stick around with me as long as you care to. I don't mind the company at all." He didn't often think about how lonely it was without a pack, or anyone at all really, but vocalizing it made him fall quiet afterward. What a sad life he had to lead just to keep from being harassed for his desirable coat. At least he knew Aster wouldn't care about that, being from a place where a coat like Talos's would be a detriment.

Aster did have some trouble hunting down a jackalope. He nearly had sneaked up on one but another one had blended in a little too well to the scenery and he had nearly stepped on it. Thus it alerted the one he was trying to get.
It took him a while to find another one but he did manage to catch that one. Fortunately there was a rock nearby that one that he telekinetically picked up and threw at it. He didn't care if he killed it by biting into it or braining it with a rock. The end result would be the same; it would be dead and going into his stomach.
Reaching the area of the oasis where Talos was Aster was slightly surprised to see that the other male had caught an extra in case he had failed. "Ah. Thank you. I did manage to catch one though. I had to use a little extra oomph but I got it." He said after dropping his own jackalope down. He began to eat his and paused to nod. "Yes it is nice to make new friends. I am also glad to have made your acquaintance Talos." He replied before finishing off his meal. "Well perhaps instead of going straight back to my realm we can explore a different area of this one? It'll be a new experience for us both and we can stick together for a while longer."Ebonrune Whoops. Forgot about this.

Talos considered the offer while he munched on his own meal. "I suppose that wouldn't be so bad." He decided with a nod. "As long as we don't end up stuck near the sea without fresh water I think we'll do alright, except for hunting, possibly." He looked at Aster and snorted lightly. "One of us is always almost definitely going to have trouble."
He got to his feet and shook himself out. "Well, I guess all we need to do is pick a direction and hope it leads out of the desert before we run out of oases. I'm pretty good at finding them, so we should be alright there. It's best to travel at night, so that's when we'll set out, provided there aren't too many clouds to hide the stars."

Aster grinned at Talos. "Alright. We'll travel a while together in this realm and see what the different areas are like." He replied giving a small laugh, "Yeah we will probably have trouble with hunting. But we different ways to hunt different animals and it shouldn't be too hard. After all two hunters are better than one. We can have whoever blends in lie in wait somewhere and have the other herd the animal to them."
Aster nodded and looked up at the midday sun. "Well we can head in the direction you were going to take to lead me out of the desert originally. We can go from there once we get there. After all you said you knew a way out of here that has oases on the way." He said pausing, "Well in that case.... should we rest here in the shade before heading out tonight?"

Talos paused to chew on a claw. "It would probably be better to nap right now." He agreed. "As long as the weather holds, it should be a good clear night for us to travel by. Especially for you. I imagine you're not doing so well in this heat, and we have a nice pool here." He gestured to it as if Aster could possibly have missed it and then stretched. "It would probably be easier for you to hunt at night anyway with your dark coloring, so you'll have better luck catching something without exerting too much effort."
