Lilah looked over at Kairi and shook her head. "It was just a nightmare. Sorry, it woke you. You can go back to sleep." She laid back down and set her head on the pillow. She wondered why he had asked that, especially about the lock. She thought maybe he thought her words had been meant for her. No, they were what she wished she could have said back then. Among many other things, she wished she could have done. Though she figured that would be the only one. That was always the worst one and it usually was the last one she had. How pathetic was that? Her nightmares happened so often that she established a pattern for them. "Look if you want to continue your mission or whatever of training me, I'll have to stay here. I don't want to but I just won't have any time to do what I need to if I train with you all day. Or do a mission or whatever we happen to do. If you plan on sticking around me that's how it has to be."
Lilah waited for his response before closing her eyes again. It was different though, she couldn't sleep again. She sighed before speaking one more time. "Get over here again, can't ******** sleep." She grumbled clearly not very nice about it this time. But she needed to hold on to something for tonight. She would try to not do that any more nights. She didn't want to get used to it. She still didn't trust that Kairi might end up trying something. Maybe he would leave or try to come on to her. Either way she couldn't rely on her.
Shaking his head simply,"You dont have to apologize." Glancing over his shoulder when she spoke of having to stay he shrugged simply,"Its fine. Just dont wreck the place and your welcome to stay. I'll have a clone clean out the guest room tomorrow." Though when she demanded his return to the bed he chuckled to himself, though he kept it from making a sound. Laying back down he had no doubt that she would end up wrapped around him again. Though the realization of what effected her so deeply still filled him with anger, there was nothing he could do about it at the moment. Covering himself back up in the blankets he offered the corner to her to cover herself as well with however much she needed. Though without moving he spoke once more,"I meant what I said. I cant turn my back on someone whose hurting. Not unless you genuinely and truly want me to. When I see people in pain, it makes me want to bear that pain for them. Or at least shoulder them so that they can have an easier time. Not that I expect you to actually accept my aid." He made sure to make no mention of what she had said in her drunken sleepy stupor. The return of the angry Lilah saw fit to change that equation.
Lilah curled up against Kairi and spoke to him. She wanted to not say anything and let him just have the bedroom cleaned out but she found herself saying something anyways. A moment of weakness and she couldn't take it back. "Don't clean out another room. I....it's a waste of time. I don't mind sharing a bed, as long as you don't try anything. Just don't think it means anything." She added in the last part to save some part of her dignity. There was no way she was going to tell Kairi that she was attracted to him. She thought maybe she could ignore it and it would go away. Just be friends or something. Regardless she realized no matter what she did, she was going to get close to Kairi. She was fearful but she would try to hold on to her purpose.
Lilah peaked on eye open and listened to what Kairi had to say. She scoffed a bit but then spoke. "You can't bear the pain for some people, because you haven't gone through what they have. Sometimes you can never go through what they have. I doubt you can help me no matter how much you want to. And what I said last night before I fell asleep...I want you to forget that. Erase it from your mind and never think about it again. That's not who I am, I'll never be that. Go to sleep." With that she closed her eye again and fell asleep easily. It seemed as if she did feel safe, the only way she could go to sleep. Hence why she HAD to find a safe spot. Not just because it was a good idea but because it was necessary.
He had a feeling, somewhere in the back of his mind, that she would say that. Though what prompted it was unknown,"I'm not stupid enough to try anything. I like my parts attached thank you." Though her words on bearing things for others and what she said elicited a light sigh,"Even still, even if I cant. Still gotta make the effort. Cant call myself a man if I dont. As for what you said. I make no promises." With that, he would close his eyes and return once more to his slumber. His sleep was peaceful enough if awkward in that he could not stretch out the way he normally did. What with Lilah taking up half the bed anyway. When he awoke the sun had barely started to creep up above the horizon, and his first thought, was coffee, in me , now. It was just how he was. Though for some reason he stayed where he was, laying there with Lilah curled up against him. It felt.. ok to him.
Lilah awoke in the morning with no more nightmares happening. She yawned and realized she was still attached to Kairi. She was still tired and didn't quite realize where she was or where. This almost seemed like her life before things went bad and she opened her mouth. "You are so comfortable. Like a soft pillow." She snuggled up closer before she started to realize where she was. She quickly then let go of him and turned on the side of the bed so her face was away from his. Her face was red and she spoke again just trying to ignore that completely. Like it never happened. "I'm going to get a little more sleep. Wake me up when I have to be up. I value my sleep a lot and I don't need coffee or whatever. " She said and closed her eyes trying to get some more rest before she had to get up.
Had to give it to her, she was adorable in her own bitchy way. When she talked about wanting more sleep he rose out of bed and quickly changed. Heading out into the kitchen he went straight to the coffee machine. Turning it on he began to rummage through the fridge. What could he make? Eggs rice and toast sounded good to him. Maybe some ham and green peppers for an omelet. Cracking open nine eggs he set about preparing them with some milk and a dash of cream. Sprinkling a dash of salt and pepper into the mix he poured some oil into a pan and turned on the burner. While he waited for the oil to heat up he retrieved a cup of coffee. Straight, jet black, just the way he liked it. Taking a deep drink of the life giving liquid he let out a heavy sigh in appreciation. Good morning indeed.
Lilah drifted in and out of sleep as one did in the morning. A half sleep that lasted for some time. When she opened her eyes she wasn't sure how much time had past. She was, however, ready to get up and rolled out of bed. She hadn't had a comfortable bed to sleep on for a long while. She was a little pissed she had to stay here though. There was nothing to do about it though and at the very least she wasn't being given money or housing from the village. She walked into the kitchen smelling food and looked to see what Kairi was cooking. It did smell good and last night he proved he was a good cook. "Food, I'm always in the mood to eat. You virgin boy know how to cook. I'm going to eat so much here." She sat down in one of the chairs stretching her arms above her head and yawning. The kimono he had let her borrow was a little loose by this point. It was slipping off of one of her shoulders leaving it bare. She didn't seem to notice though as she went about normally.
Lilah looked to Kairi with his coffee and wondered how he drank that stuff. "So how can you drink that? It tastes really nasty and makes me wonder why people even drink it. Do you like bad tasting things? I just don't understand people. Not to mention that it's weird how you guys make it. So used to seeing it made traditionally I guess. The villages have advanced stuff, no one can deny that."
Despite her appearance he did not seem to mind it. Taking another sip of his coffee, he would set the mug down and pour the mixture for the omelets into the pan. Though her words did bring a smile to his face,"Yea you told me that last night." As the eggs cooked he absently answered her question,"I drink it because it wakes me up. Jump starts my brain if you will." Gesturing down the hall he continued,"Baths ready for you, and your clothes are in the drier."
Lilah looked at him and shook her head. Though when he talked about the bath she was confused. "You people are weird, you just wake up like a normal person. Don't know why you would need anything for it. Also the bath? I just took one last night, girls don't take two baths a day you know. That's just overboard." She said leaning the chair onto two legs. She didn't quite understand why a bath was ready for her. Granted it would be nice to relax in but this was unnecessary. She didn't move just watching Kairi. Why did he want her to get in the bath again? "Tell me you did not get out of bed early to go and set up some perverted thing. Because that would really be stupid. I would hope you would be beyond that." She said honestly hoping he was not that dumb. Especially considering she had no problem being naked in the first place. She patiently awaited his answer and it better be a damn good one.

Koutetsu climbed out of bed sore from yesterday's taijutsu lesson at the academy, followed by helping his mother at the forge. He shuffled over to his dresser and quickly changed into a mesh undershirt, dark grey Gi tied with a blue sash. Heading into the kitchen, he read a note from his mother left on the kitchen table. Mom wants me to meet her at the docks after school? Must be heading out on another work trip, he thought as he headed towards the front door. Slipping on his zori, Koutetsu opened the door and headed out to the academy.

Additionally, they start with the following four techniques, rather than the six most ninja do: Bushi Ken no Jutsu [ Samurai Sabre Technique ], Shunshin no Jutsu [ Body Flicker Technique ], Kai [ Release ], and Kawarimi no Jutsu [ Substitution Technique ]. ____Mystic Hero(Mimic via Balanced Master): → You are much like a hybrid warrior, focusing on mixing ninjutsu into your personal arsenal. Through your great devotion to this path you can cast ninjutsu can cast ninjutsu up to your body rank without hand seals while wielding a weapon. These techniques maintain the same description and criteria to use and require the same amount of time to mold the chakra through the weapon as would be needed to perform hand seals, meaning the techniques are not instantaneously cast. They also cannot be molded during another attack, meaning you cannot be swinging a sword and using this discipline to charge a ninjutsu at the same time. You also gain 2 extra ninjutsu slots per rank. Second Class: Worker ____Balanced Master: → This discipline mimics one of the user's other class's non-chosen disciplines. (i.e. non-Worker Class) The Double Specialization perk for said class is not available for gaining. If the character is Double Worker Class, they may choose one discipline from any other class. In addition, any jutsu learned can be paid for with either chakra, stamina, or a mix of the two. Any further chakra types are also subject to this. Recovery amounts for chakra and stamina are doubled while working, and working counts as relaxing.

Giving her a light shrug he chuckled,"Eh I hate mornings so its whatever to me honestly. As far as your bath, you sweated quite a lot last night. Would not be a bad idea." Though her annoying claim about him getting up early caused him to sigh,"Look, I dont know how good you think I am. But I am not THAT good to make coffee, breakfast, and setup some imaginary perverted plan. Secondly see the former, I hate mornings." Finishing breakfast he plated the omelets and gave a simple gesture,"Eat then shower. Then we can head out."
Lilah's face turned slightly red when he mentioned sweating. "I did not you a**." She said turning her head away from him. She didn't want to admit that she did and it was slightly embarrassing. Especially considering why she did, it was not something she just wanted to admit. Regardless she ate the food he had cooked without giving him trouble and afterward she slipped out of the kimono letting it fall onto the chair. Then she would head to the shower afterward not saying a word. She didn't need to talk to him and be forced into admitting anything. She had no problem just denying it even if she did go take a shower. Besides, it was very rude to just come out and say that. Regardless the shower was nice, just as nice as last night. Though she pondered on why Kairi hated mornings. Growing up where she did mornings were important and everyone was up early. It was for good reasons of course.
Lilah them exited the bathroom and retried her clothes. She headed back out and met with Kairi again. Only then would she actually start putting her clothes back on. "Aren't ninjas supposed to be able to go days without sleep and wake up at the crack of dawn after a night of being busy. Don't you have to be a morning person for this job?" She casually asked him while sliding her shorts on. She literally didn't even seen to notice on how well weird this might be to him.
Her response elicited a chuckle from him but he simply ignored her nudity and focused on eating his breakfast. While she showered he contemplated her education plan for the day. Her basics were in place but he would need to work on advancing them, teaching her more than just the basics. He would also have to work on getting her squared away in simple weapon usage. If she couldn't even throw a kunai he would need to address it. Of course he would have to test her to see what she was capable of. Finishing his omelet he quickly washed both of their dishes and headed back into his room. Changing out of his normal clothes he slid on the undershirt and light silk pants which went under his armor with a heavy sigh. Part of him wanted his training of the woman to be over with, but the other half.... didn't mind her so much. Sure she was needy but regardless of if he would admit it, he needed someone like her. Someone to take care of and protect.
Heading back into the kitchen he sipped at his coffee until she returned and started dressing,"Its not that I wake up slowly or that I cannot stay awake for long periods of time. I just do not like the early hours of the day. The UHV regiments I fought were commanded by a man who favored early morning assaults." Finishing his coffee he set the cup down and without a word moved past her towards the room that was his armory. Taking a seat on one of the chairs he began the laborious process of oiling and cleaning up his armor. He should have cleaned it the night before but well, Lilah. With a dedicated and practiced hand he set about working the oil into the leather straps to keep them pliable.
Lilah listened to him with silence as she finished changing. She was about done by time Kairi finished speaking and moved to go clean his armor. She followed him and spoke though she debated just not telling him anything. "We had plenty of night assaults from what I remember. I know that we marched around a lot and whenever we fought with any leaf ninja it was always bloody. I killed enough people that I do not remember how many. That makes me sound like some badass but it wasn't. I would have died if alone but the other UHV ninjas were enough to keep me alive. With the bloodlines, I got thanks to luck and my parents." She then stopped and didn't feel like talking about this anymore. She hated talking about it and it was not something she did often. She wasn't sure why she bothered talking about it at this very moment. It brought up memories that disgusted her.
Lilah shook her head and spoke again. "Well I don't want to talk about this subject anymore. Let's get out of here already, we still have more training to do." She said waiting for Kairi to hurry up and finish. She did have some more stuff she wanted to learn especially with her gentle fist. That was something she knew she could learn. She saw her Dad preform enough moves himself to remember how to at least train it. She would pick up the moves after a small amount of training she was sure.
