Solitude sounded just fine to Hydor. It was the basic human needs part he may have unfortunate trouble with.

If only Hydor was an actual machine. Then, perhaps, he could just disappear into space forever. He would not need to worry about human contact anymore, at least. He scoffed at the thought. That would be nice. It was unlikely he was going to become a cyborg with no human needs any time soon, though, so he might-as-well discard the fantasy.

The concept of picking up the pieces was something that Hydor had already been doing for years. (Or just tossing the pieces out the window or to the side, as it were.) In some ways, sounded like it would be rather similar to his current life. Minus the homework, projects, and exams, though. He was in computer science, though, so from what he knew of the field, he suspected he would have his own form of homework, projects, and exams.

On-call.

Interviews.

Hydor shuddered.

"That sounds pleasant. It sounds nice not to need to rely on anyone else, honestly." As it was, he barely relied on anyone at all. The only people he actively relied on were the people who made his dorm food every day, and the people who kept the electricity and heat on in the dorms. He would need to overtake that himself, but it sounded like something he could handle. "Do you miss learning?"

It was fascinating to him that Baikal had not chosen to visit his wonder yet. He mentioned that it was a location on Earth, but earlier, he had referred to himself as Baikal of Mercury. That implied he had some origin on Mercury, not on Earth. Curious. He had not exactly visited Hydor either, but he was also a fairly new senshi. Baikal was not a new knight. "Fascinating, that it is a location that exists on Earth. Since you are Baikal of Mercury, though, I assume the wonder Baikal is on Mercury, is it not?"

He tilted his head.

"If you visit your wonder, I would be interested in hearing about it."

At the very least, he was wondering what the past societies that they were supposedly from were like.

The confirmation that the wonder was on Mercury did some as some relief: at the very least, Hydor had made a correct assumption there. He was starting to understand that much about the strange life he had seen himself thrust into.

It was unfortunate he could not find an explanation as to why a wonder on Mercury was also a location on Earth. Perhaps those on Earth had accidentally come into a habit of naming things after places on other planets. Had Earth previously had connections to these places? Their existence on this planet implied that they must have, right? Or perhaps it implied just the opposite -- that Earth had been relatively isolated.

Somehow, he doubted that was the case. Perhaps Earth was a center.

"Whenever you visit, it would be appreciated." Hydor shrugged. "I usually patrol in this area, so I will not be difficult to locate again."

He usually patrolled here when he felt like escaping the dorms, anyway.
