"Hey, it's not just books. I actually have some patients now. I mean I only minor things like stitches and stuff like that but it's still the first step toward becoming a real doctor like the sort that Doctor Forthus is." It was something that he was looking forward to because he wanted to become even more independent... not that he was clingy or anything at the moment. He and his sister had taken care of themselves for ages but still, knowing that he could provide for himself would be nice. Especially if his mother was displeased with his choice and ended up kicking him out for it.

Shaking his head a little he moved to get out a knife and started to chopped out an array of different vegetable, setting the scrapes on a separate plate. A quick sauce was mixed up and both the first plate and the bowl were set in front of Tyr, "Here you go." He then moved to fetch the plate of scrapes and put in front of Piper, "And for you, Piper. Thank you for keeping an eye on Tyr alll the time." As though the averin were some sort of guardian beast of something.

He gave the beast a pat on the head before sitting down in his own chair and took a couple bites from the veggies as well.

Giving a nod of his head he then gave a smile before he told her, "Well, the magical cipher that I am being given to channel my magic is going to be a sort of magical tome... so you could be right about my continued love of books." Something that made him chuckle a bit before he picked up a piece of sliced up carrot, taking a bite out of it, chewed, and swallowed before he asked of her, "Have you decided if there is a weapon you want to take on one day? Or will you be sticking to your fists? I know there are... gauntlets, right? Those would likely suit you."

While he would rather she didn't fight as much he felt that if she continued forward on the path of a guard that she should have something in the way of a weapon. Given she was punching orientated for the most part then maybe the gauntlets would be the best for her? It might make her more dangerous though so he wasn't sure what he thought about it... but maybe it was still better then a blade?

Tadeos gave her a long look before nodding, "Just... take it easy since they are a weapon made of dangerous metal. It will make my job of cleaning up after you a lot harder." He warned her, just imagining what sorts of mayhem she might cause when it came to her with a weapon. It would hopefully wait until he had more power of his own so that he could hope to balance her out.

Reaching out he picked up a piece of the cucumber, pausing at her comment about him making a good wife, "Yes, and I am sure that you're going to make your Lightning boy a wonderful wife as well. Mother will get to have two weddings to attend in no time."

"Yeah... I know I can't tell you to leave them be if they ask for it too much." He said, giving a little shake of his head at the thought. Why was it that he could actually see someone going up to Tyr and just... asking for a beating, some idiot that just didn't know better when it came to his sister and the danger that she presented. A bit like a bitey beast from out in the wilds.

Giving a sound of surprise he was on his feet in a moment, patting his sister on the back, "Are you alright, Tyr? It's fun teasing you and all but I don't want you to choke." Giving a shake of his head he said, "Sorry about that. You should eat your snack and then we will take a short walk around the garden. You can't lay around all day or else you're going to continue to be sore."

As her brother and a doctor in training he didn't want her to risk her health, as such he couldn't be too nice to her when sitting around was only going to make her muscles lock up in a way she wouldn't like. A sedate walk around the garden should be easy enough though, even for her right now.
