The lights go black in the CWF arena before Stings entrance music begins playing, and the audience pops for one of if not THE best performers in CWF history, and the lights begin spotlighting on the ramp and Sting walks out from backstage with a T-shirt and other casual clothes on, Shades on.... but no face paint. Although he is carrying his signature baseball bat, this is his first appearance without his black and white face paint. He walks down the ramp, with a humbled look on his face as he does shake a couple of the cheering fans at ringside, and he gets introduced. Announcer: "Ladies and gentlemen please welcome...... The Icon, STTTIIIINNNGGGG!!"A louder burst of cheers erupts in the arena after the introduction, and Sting makes his way to the steps and walks down the apron before entering the ring. He walks around and his theme eventually fades out.

Many of the fans in the arena came to No Way Out expecting the worst news from Sting, after his elimination in the Royal Rumble match he seemed to be the favorite to win in, he would walk backstage and seemed to downplay any future in CWF in an interview, and was greeted with hugs and handshakes from fellow superstars on his way out, thus leading to speculation about his retirement. After his music cut, Sting was prepared to speak but the audience chanted a "Thank you Sting" chant, before they quieted down. Sting finally gets a chance to speak. "I hope you fans know that if anyone should be saying thank you, it should be me to all of you. I wouldn't have made it this far in this business if it weren't for you!....... I would like to address the last time I was here, at the Royal Rumble. I entered the Royal Rumble match to get the chance to get back that CWF world heavyweight championship! And I was well on my way to perhaps winning it. Locking in the scorpion on Edge... hitting Shinsuke with the Death Drop, I thought i hadnt missed a beat...but then I was eliminated by Triple H." The audience boos for they wanted Sting to win. "But, Triple H eliminating me sent me a message... that 3 or 4.. or 5 years ago I wouldnt have let that happen. I would have turned the tables and eliminated HIM! But that wasn't the case, and it made me really think. Am I losing it? I'm getting old.. And what's even next for the Stinger? I've done it all. I've won championships wherever I've gone, I won the Royal Rumble, I beat the Undertaker in that dream match everyone wanted...heck...I was the CWF World Champion for 4 years...." Alot of the fans were quiet, as they knew what was coming. Alot of sad faces out there. "So with that... I am announcing my retirement from in ring competition. I've got nothing left to prove. I'm stepping aside, and letting those guys in the back carry the torch, guys like AJ Styles, Ryback, Matt Gennison, Aleks Mason, Samoa Joe... all guys who are more than capable of carrying this company. I myself, am proud and humbled to have been one of the lead guys here and bring this company to be what it is today as the BIG LEAGUES. And with that, I say so long, but remember, The STINGER will always keep a special place in his heart for you fans and the GREAT company known as CWF!!"Sting drops his mic and sets his baseball bat down in the ring, leaving a piece of him in the ring to a bittersweet cheer from the CWF audience and his theme plays as he gets to a TB and does his "Woo" shout and the fans return it. He goes to another corner and does the same thing, standing in the ring for the last time.

From beneath the ring, a man would crawl out. Edge would get up slowly, making sure Sting didn't lay eyes on him. Slowly, Edge slithered into the ring. He'd stay at the corner, waiting for Sting to turn around...

Sting was up on the turnbuckle, doing another one of his "WOO" taunts, and had gotten down, looking at the audience, and while that was going on, there was activity going on behind him that he had no idea about until he noticed the crowd members making alot of noise, some people even point in that direction and yelling to Sting for him to look out. Sting was confused... and he turns around to see EDGE!

Once Sting would turn around, Edge would sprint at the Icon, going for a huge SPEAR!

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" the commentary team would ask, not knowing what Edge was planning, having interrupted Sting's farewell to the fans. The Rated-R Superstar would slide out of the ring, lifted up the apron, and grabbed two steel chairs from beneath the ring. Edge would slide both chairs in and got in the ring himself, a smirk on his face. Edge would grab a chair and approach Sting, trying to hit the Icon's abdomen with a chair shot!

Sting was laid out in the ring. His shades had flew off when the spear connected so his complete face was exposed for the first time in CWF without face paint. He was unaware of what Edge was doing but all of sudden Edge would appear with a chair and strikes Sting right on his abdomen and he rolls over to favor the area!

Seeing Sting roll over would incite Edge to send multiple chair shots to the Stinger's back!

To finish off, the Rated-R Superstar would grab the other chair. He approached Sting once more, Edge would try to lift Sting's head by pulling his hair. The Ultimate Opportunist would lay the folded steel chair on the mat, underneath Sting's face. Edge would slam Sting's head down on the chair. After everything was set, Edge would stand up, grab the steel chair he had previously attacked Sting with. Edge raised it high, holding it at the top. "DON'T DO IT, EDGE!" was heard throughout the arena, by the commentators, by the fans and every official at ringside. The more people pleaded for Edge to stop, the more he raised it. Once the chair reached it's maximum height, Edge finally slammed it down. Like a mideval executioner chopping off a person's head off with a heavy axe, the Rated-R Superstar, with all his might, would hit the Icon with a final chair shot, with Sting's head resting on another steel chair!

Sting, who was defenseless at this point, was nailed with the final, destructive chair shot, rolling back onto his back to show the cut on his head, not a maor one but just enough to notice a little bit of blood coming out. Several members of the CWF medical team rush to the ring to check on Sting, and officials come in to tell Edge to back off. Sting would be getting checked on, which was kind of a first because nobody has ever really taken Sting out in CWF before to this much of an extent.

Finally, the attack was over. Edge had made his statement. Since he lost to AJ, Edge had set his sights on the Icon, wanting to damage him badly. Chair shot after chair shot, Edge had beaten Sting badly tonight, with a dangerous appetite for destruction. Edge got out of the ring, once the medical team arrived, knowing that any more damage would ruin his future plans, a match with the Icon. Edge walked back to his locker room, a smirk on his face growing wider as he saw the fans boo him very loudly for his unforgivable and cowardly actions. Edge would turn around at the mouth of the ramp, saw the medics having to help Sting get out of the ring and and help hold him up on his feet to walk him back, which provoked a devilish grin on the Rated-R Superstar's face. He saw the Wrestlemania logo and pointed at it, signifying that something big would happen.
