Elara appreciated the older girl, especially when she appeared to take charge and tell her two friends to help look after her - her, a complete stranger!
There wasn't enough time to really appreciate things, though, not when the giant monster bird was screeching and sending her falling to her knees, hands rising to cover her ears. It was a piercing shriek that didn't seem to affect the others nearly as badly - was she really that much of a greenhorn, in comparison?
As her hands moved out in an attempt to aid the boys in their attacks with her own, the blonde senshi's shockwave was busy turning her legs boneless - she'd never felt them so wibbly-wobbly before. It was hard to concentrate as she called down her attack, so Sailor Elara inwardly prayed her attack didn't miss and accidentally hit one of her new friends instead.
Basic Attack
Sailor Scout Attack:Slime Squirt! Sailor Elara casts her basic attack, which sends a fair amount of green slime in the direction of her target. If contact is made, whatever surface was hit (3ft x 3ft radius) is now covered in a gelatinous inedible goop that keeps the victim stuck within the mess. It can stick them to surfaces or simply against their own body. Can hit up to 2 people. Attack lasts 30 seconds. 3 usages per battle.

It was times like this that made Denebola wish that her magic wasn't so hands on. The boosts had been helpful, numerous times over, but when she couldn't just use her fists it was useless. Luckily both of her boys had magic capable of warding the creature off.
Unfortunately, Altais's shockwave left her wobbly with sheer determination keeping her upright and the super senshi watched as the bird hit the ground, screeching from the doubling effects of the magic launch it's way.
It's beak was snapping, trying to eat the souls that Themisto had sent it's way to no avail. Despite the flapping of wings, the youma wasn't capable of taking flight-- an effect of Altais she was sure, whom she rested a hand upon to keep her steady as her legs worked on not being so jello-y.
The sweet girl beside them attempted to aid and the elder senshi offered a smile when slime went flying.
But the youma had regained some control and it's wings spread to the full lengths. Once again the beak opened and caws filled the air.
Koschei's Flock: Koschei spreads his wings and caws loudly, summoning a flock of shadow birds that attack his intended target. They are used to surround and disorient the target to keep them in place. The flock doesn't physically attack unless the target tries to break out and then the flock uses their beaks and talons to lash out.
Duration: 20 seconds
The birds surrounded them, but when they disappeared, so had the youma.
"Is everyone okay?" Denebola asked, head lifting after she'd attempted to bring everyone closer to her to shield them from the attack.

Themisto's ears rang terribly and a warmth pulsed from his right ear - blood, though no much of it. Just a smear of blood remained on his chin and neck, but that was the last thing on his mind. When the youma shrieked and flapped its wings and a flurry of smaller birds appeared, Themisto dove to protect the newest of their ragtag group. "Altais, get Dene!"
Using his body to wrap around Elara in case the birds decided to attack them, Themisto hoped it would be enough. Altais loved Denebola as much as he did, of that he was certain, and trusted the blonde senshi beyond a shadow of a doubt. Elara was new, sure, and an almost-stranger to him, but Itsuki had awakened her. She deserved just as much protection as anyone else. Once the flock had started to dissipate, the bear-hug loosened and Themisto stood back to catch his breath.
The ringing in his ears was harsher than he realized, for when Denebola had started to take inventory of their ragtag team, Themisto's reply was louder than he realized. "What??"

The bird shrieked again, and at the prompting of his brother in arms, Altais turned his body just in case of the birds, snugging tight to Denebola and resting his chin on her head.
"It will be all good little Mama and friend!" He grinned and waited for the birds to pelt him, Tensing up and hoping that they wouldn't hurt to much. Thought they weren't escaping the flock, it was terrifying to imagine the birds circling around them and actually attacking.
Once they were gone, he let go of Denebola and patted her on the head, grinning ear to ear.
"THE BIG BIRD IS GONE NOW, NO? HAS LEFT THE SESAME STREET?" He was speaking WAY too loudly. "SHE SAID YOU ARE NOT OKAY THEMI!"
The large bird struck again and this time, brought along dozens of small, shadowy friends to its aid. Elara's courage was shaken (along with her legs, still, thanks to the blonde senshi's attack) and the girl found herself curling up into a ball as the birds swooped towards her.
A heavy weight fell across her back and neck, confusing the young woman until she realized what was laying across her - Themisto, the other young man, had decided to take it upon himself to protect her... a stranger! Elara felt her heart thump wildly in her chest, mostly out of fear from the birds but also at the surprise that someone would care so much for someone they knew nothing of.
She hadn't realized the birds had departed, not until Themisto's loud yell of WHAT? almost deafened her own ears even further. Eyes looked around wildly before her heart decided to calm its pace, her grip loosening from around the boy's arm beside her. She even opened her mouth to speak, but the blonde senshi piped up... about sesame street?
Giggling, one hand moved to cover her mouth as she finally cleared her throat, adding in, "I-I'm alright, thanks to Themisto here."

The boys yelling had Denebola pulling black, wincing slightly, as she carefully smoothed her hands over her boy's hair. It was then that she took note of the ear trailing down Themisto's ear and she frowned at the injury.
"Come on," she said a little louder than necessary, "let's get you to my place and we can check this out." She knew that Altais would come and she glanced over at the girl with as kind of a smile as possible.
"You too, I want to make sure you're okay." It was a quiet invitation she hoped that Elara would accept. "We stick together, okay?" From there, she grabbed what hands she could, expecting others to grab the hands she couldn't, and headed off to lead them somewhere safe to power down and then back to her place.
Her boys stuck with her as always and Elara would make a great addition to their family.
