Tecca was unable to simply let the fight go on since she did fear Akel getting hurt. So before another move was made she let loose an arrow aiming for Pruu. It would miss of course and pass by Akel's head. Akeldama heard the whoosh and felt the breeze coming off the arrow. In seconds she glared and turned to look at Tecca before chucking her spear at the other girl. It would cost her the fight with Pruu but it would get the point across, she hoped. It would glide past Tecca's face, leaving a scratch along the girl's cheek before thudding into the target behind her. At the same time she had to manuver in a way that she could avoid any real damage from the blade that was coming at her. What she got was a nice cut just below her elbow that instantly poured blood down her arm. She was too busy glaring daggers at Tecca to be bothered with the wound though. "Would you go practice in the archery lanes! You are becoming far too annoying for your own good at this point! I'm not sure what you were aiming for but you missed either way." She then pointed at her spear. "I will not miss next time. Our agreement is at an end Tecca, leave me be."

The flicker of the arrow whizzing by instantly caught her attention. Her blades continued on their path for Akel's arm, but the feeling of one connecting with their target gave her no satisfaction. Her pale eyes locked onto Tecca holding the bow. Had she.. just interrupted their fight? What sort of moron...? Straightening up as Akel took charge, Pruu pressed a hand to her side to assess the injury. A broken rib probably, and a definite bruise with swelling later. She peered at Tecca with a firm scowl, controlling the urge to yell as well. Apparently, Tecca was under Akel's supervision? "Perhaps it would be best for her to go train with the younglings and relearn the fundamentals of sparring," she muttered shortly. "Agreement?" Pruu pursed her lips slightly, wiping down her blades onto her skirt. "I do hope that you were not tasked to suffer this simpleton's company for too long.."

Tecca looked as though she had been slapped. Embarrassment spread across her face and when Akel said that their agreement was over she bit down on her lip before running away. Clearly not wanting to show that she was tearing up and ready to cry. Akeldama gritted her teeth before moving to collect her spear from the target it had hit. "There was an agreement between her and I that we would give a relationship a try because our mothers wished it. I really was not all that interested in her." She sighed and shook her head before yanking her weapon out and turning to look at Pruu. "I'm sorry that she interrupted." Now she was unsure on whether or not to continue the fight.

Pruu couldn't help shaking her head at Tecca's behavior. "She still has some growing to do, it would seem." Her brow knit slightly. Relationship.. That kind of relationship? "Your mother is still trying to arrange a partner for you?" she asked with a sigh. Tecca had truly been an option? "It is not for you to apologize for someone else's immaturity," she murmured. The woman seemed to be as displeased with her mother's attempts as she had been when they last discussed it. She gazed at Akel a moment, brow cocking slightly. In her view, Akel was a noble daughter of Elzira, and deserved a worthy partner. The gears spun in her head until she walked over to Akel purposefully. "Akel, you should tell your mother that someone is courting you, and she will stop trying to pick an irresolute mouse like that for you."

She hefted her weapon up just a bit into the air and caught it a second later so that her hand was in a different position. Akeldama nodded her head. "Yes, the crone is still trying." The young woman gave a wince. "Even after four fails." She sighed and shook her head. When she was younger she had been against it. Now that she was older and more intent upon her training she was even more against the idea, though she didn't do the childish arguing as she had done previously. Now she just let the girls give it a go and when they annoyed her she ended it. Sometimes harshly, like with Tecca. As Pruu told her to let her mother know that someone was courting her she snorted. "The woman will ask who and demand to meet their mother." She lifted a brow as her friend drew closer. "Or do you plan to set me up with someone too?" Elzira's branches she hoped not. Akel had thought that Pruu was on her side.

Four fails. It seemed the ol' Alk really was stubborn about finding Akeldama a partner. The snort made her c**k her head, giving a slow blink in return. Oh! "There will be no need to deceive your mother, and I would not presume to undertake such a personal task for you. However, if you are receptive, I find that I would like to court you myself." Not feeling any need to elaborate, she stood and waited patiently to let Akel think over her words.

No need to deceive her mother. Akeldama wasn't so sure about that. In fact she was just about to say as much when Pruu all but dropped the bombshell on her. "I'm sorry.. what?" Her brows drew together and she leaned a little closer to her friend. "You want to court me?" Was this a joke? Akel stood there for a moment as her mind went over everything. It wasn't a bad idea. She got along well with Pruu. Slowly she nodded her head. "Alright.. do you have any terms to this?" The others had wanted something from her. Attention, praise, time, something. All Akel needed to know was what it was that Pruu wanted from her. "I can only spare so much time since I have training and I refuse to be intimate until I know it will last." It would be a disgrace to Elzira to simply go around giving up everything to everyone. Akel looked at Pruu as it was her turn to wait for the answer.

Terms? Pruu cocked her head slightly. A slight bit of heat actually rose to her cheeks and she shook her head. "I would not presume to ask for intimacy after only just starting a relationship. The point of courting is to grow intimacy rather than to jump into it. I suppose my only request would be that you not engage in relations with others during our courtship. I will give you the same courtesy, of course. As for your time... Whatever you feel willing and able to spare is acceptable to me. We both have our own responsibilities, and I do not wish to hinder you in your duties, or have you hinder my own." If Akel was concerned with terms... "Is there anything you wish to add?"

"What?" She playfully looked at Pruu. "You want me to not engage in a relationship with others?" Akel turned her head and huffed as if offended. "I don't know if I can manage that one.." Then, unable to keep the laughter from coming out she brought her gaze back to the other girl. "I can definitely do that. Feel free to stake your claim on me if need be." Akel nodded her head with a smile. When asked if there was something she wanted to add she thought about it for a moment. Was there? Pruu didn't act like the others so she didn't really need to worry about the usual things. "Ah.. You'll have to get used to Yava. Mainland creature or not, he's mine and I don't give up what's mine easily."

Pruu's brow knit the slightest bit with confusion at the refusal until Akeldama started laughing. So Akel had assumed the exclusivity of the relationship already. That was good. "Get used to Yava. Is that all?" she asked, her own smile finally starting to rise. "I shall endeavor to do so." So.. that was it. She was in a relationship.. "However, about this claim that I am supposed to stake.. How would you suggest I do this?" she asked, smile light.

As Pruu asked if that was all she lifted her shoulder with a nod. "Pretty much, yeah. Yava stays." Akeldama had done a really good job at training him too. Which was something she was really proud of. She reached up to move a few dreads behind her ear, touching the antennae that hung down, and gave the question some thought. When she found no for sure answer to it she looked at Pruu with a serious face. "However you wish to so long as no more girls bother me and my mother doesn't try to match me with another." Akel wasn't so sure she really cared how it was made known she and Pruu were together so long as it was made know.

Tipping her head, Pruu glanced off to the side. "I suppose the appropriate thing would be to inform our mothers. I have little doubt that word will spread quickly enough from them." Both of her mothers would surely be beside themselves with delight. A softer smile suddenly rose as she took a step closer. "Akel, I wish it to be clear... my intent is not merely to relieve you of your mother's pressure. You are a strong and devoted daughter of Elzira, and I will consider myself lucky should this courtship lead to something more for us."

Heck, all they had to do was tell her mother. Ciriet would make sure the whole encampment knew before nightfall. Of course the notion made her flinch a little. Her mother was way too talkative at times. Akel was pulled from her thoughts as Pruu got closer. "You truly wish it to be a real relationship then?" This she had to know. If Pruu was serious then she would need to treat her differently than the rest. She would actually need to pay attention to things. Not simply push it all aside as unimportant. Knowing this made her adjust her stance a little as she moved her spear to rest across her shoulders. Once there she draped her hands over it. "Would I be in the way of another suitor?" Akeldama found that she was now curious if Pruu had anyone who was interested in her already.

She blinked at the subtle shift she felt between them, and nodded in return. "As I said, I do not desire deception." The question made her brow rise, and she was able to shake her head right away. "No suitor has been made known to me. As it is, I have chosen you. Unless you have someone else you would prefer.. perhaps we should go let our mothers know. Once your mother finds out that Tecca was turned away, she will undoubtedly be on the hunt for another, unnecessary, match."

No deception. No suitor. Akeldama took the time to look around the training yard. There were plenty about. No doubt they had seen Tecca run off. And Pruu had a point, once her mother learned about it then she would be on the hunt, though she was unsure whether or not anyone else would be willing to even attempt at making a match with her. Giving a smile she returned her gaze to Pruu. "Mhm, we should tell our mothers but first.." Akel stepped closer to her friend turned girlfriend and kissed her. Nothing shocking, just a simple peck even though it was to the lips. "No going back Pruu." Several people would have seen that. There was her claim right there.
