"Do not owe you ansvers." He crinkled his nose.

"Because you are out late and vorry family?" He looked over at her. "Ve are." He turned the car into the road, driving slowly to make sure he missed nothing in night.

"Patrolling is not alvays fighting and danger."

Still's lips curled up as she turned to stare at the passenger window, though her expression turned ponderous as something occurred to her. She couldn't remember the last time she'd been in a car. It was random to think about, but it was there. When you could clear the city in one teleport, it made vehicles obsolete, anyways

"No, you don't..." She conceded, "But you remember that if the tables ever turn in the future." The corrupt looked back at him, even though he was now focused on driving, watching his face in profile. "I told you...I don't have a family, so there's no one to worry about me being out late." The woman shifted, leaning an elbow on the middle counsel and making herself comfortable for the ride.

"What else does patrolling entail for you, then?"

It was hard not to spill that he was a knight when he wanted to answer her question with signs of the negaverse. He patrolled the evenings mostly so he could switch to his powered form and save what citizens he could, when he could.

Even now, his focused on the dark alleys they drove by, lights flashing over homeless, drained and he was sure ones that were missing the seeds that contained their souls.

"I look for string of victims." He answered instead, "Some sort of sickness...drug. It drains their energy, makes them veak." He crinkled his nose, "Happens more then police can keep up vith, but cannot find substance."

He answered, and she felt the corners of her lips draw up, because it was obvious what he was describing. The work of the Negaverse. "You shouldn't pursue that, Officer." She replied softly, glancing at him. "It's far above you, and you can't stop it."

She trailed off for a moment.

"Think of it as cleaning. It's your job to keep the city safe, but there's others helping to do that, too. After all, the police department can't be all over the city all the time. There's just far too much going on."

"It is not other people right to decide." The car stopped suddenly, causing the one or two behind him to swerve and honk their horns. He parked it to the side and angerily sat in the seat though it didn't show on his face. It just radiated off his body.

"Vho decides those people are right? Cleaning?" He looked at her, carefully so his anger did not ruin the fact he knew about the negaverse. "Vith these drugs that make Veak members. Killing! These drugs kill!" He narrowed his eyes.

"It is vhat you are then? Vith your strange clothes and makeup, Are you a drug dealer?"

Still blinked as she jerked forward, her seat belt tightening in response to the brakes. Her hat went askew, so instead she took it off and neatly placed it on her lap. She didn't need to see him to know he was mad. She could feel it (but also as if the sudden stop didn't announce it really), but she was unaffected.

She wished Pyro was here. She think he'd get a kick out of this kind of talk. He was having these talks with her a lot since she met him. But then he'd probably yank Officer Vetrov's starseed because he didn't like authority figures...and she couldn't allow that.

"What gives you the right to decide?" She asked him calmly, curiously. "The city?" She mused, "Power is what decides, Officer, and it doesn't care what you or I think or are as long as you do what is expected of you. What's right or wrong is personal, not universal." She fingered the ribbon of her hat idly. "It's killing a lot of people who do harm onto others...is that bad, Officer?" She looked at him then, dead on, and held his gaze. "The people you can't save, the people you don't have the time or energy to protect...that power is saving them when you can't."

She didn't answer his question, but she waited for him to respond to her's.

"The people did." He looked at her, "Schooling did. I have earned the right, I have vorked for right. I have never vanted help from the kind that is this."

He wanted to shake her, to show her the wrongs she was speaking was wrong. Power did not mean everything. Power was only chaos with no rules and that was why order existed. But he didn't expect someone from chaos to understand, even his former partner.

"Get out." He leaned over, opening the door for her. "I do not vish to speak vith you anymore."

He waited, "You knov nothing. Questions for questions and no ansvers. Get out." He said again.

People. Earning. Want...That last one was tricky, because she wasn't sure she had wanted it. She had woken up and it had been there to grasp (but maybe more like she had no choice but to take it?).

The corrupt watched as he leaned over, and made no move. She merely glanced at the door as he opened it, and then looked back at him. "No." She said simply. "You said I get an hour of your time tonight, and that hour isn't up yet." This encounter seemed reminiscent of her one with Beringia, too, she noted. He hadn't liked what she said either and threw in the towel, and that bothered her for some reason.

"I'm asking, aren't I? Clearly I'm interested in learning something, but if you want some answers, here---" The corrupt reached and closed the door he had opened. "No, I'm not a drug dealer, and actually---" She met his gaze again, and her voice lowered. "I think you have an inkling of what and who I am, because I have a hard time believing someone as guarded as you would let a complete stranger into your car."

And those pictures in Sol Olga's wallet had to mean something.

"I'm all ears now, Officer. I'll try to the best of my ability to answer."

While also wondering why this meant something to her.

He would've slammed out of his own car if well, it wasn't his own car. Even in this form of Sedna, she was still a stubborn mule of a woman. "I make the hour." He warned her, "I do not have to do vhat you vant just because you are here." It was a lesson she would learn eventually.

Sergei was not some little boy she could keep locked in here because she wanted too. Just as, and he thought with much guilty, when they had been partners he hadn't always been there to stop her from what she was doing. Which is why they were all in this mess weren't they?

"Assuming?" He wrinkled his nose, unsure how to progress from there. He had been doing his best to pretend they were just two normal people. Now he had to lie. "Yes, I do know of you people. The mysterious terrorist." He waited, "Though now, they claim you all are just gangs. Turf vars."

He scowled, "Turf vars that cause hundreds of thousands in damage and take more lives then can count." He shook his head.

"Vhat are truly then?" He looked at her, "Do you think you are Hero or Villain? Do you know?"

Still gave him a wide and amused smile. "No, you don't make the hour." She replied. "Sixty minutes does. Not your lack of patience. I'm not out of line, Officer, for holding you to your word."

Her smile stayed, but it turned small as she studied his face. She wasn't sure what she was looking for. Maybe a flicker of the eyes to show that he did know more than he let on. "No." She replied. "Not assuming. A very educated deduction." She listened now though, and the info he was relaying wasn't anything new. Bus and Machine had given her the run down about how civilians viewed them. About the various things Destiny City labeled them with but didn't truly understand.

He asked, and she took some time to contemplate. Those last bit of questions, those were good, actually. She hadn't thought about them yet.

She knew, to a degree, she had to be careful with how truthful she was. Not so much for her sake, but for Officer Vetrov's. She found that she didn't want to lie, or not be truthful though. She had nothing to lose by being honest. "I am an agent of Metalia. She's a queen who grants her soldiers powers, to be faster and stronger. To teleport...and all kinds of fantastical abilities." This was what Machine had told her, and she didn't have anything else to believe but that. It made sense.

The corrupt took longer to answer the other question. She was thinking about what Pyro had said. That there weren't any points...but she didn't necessarily agree with that. There had to be. There had to be something driving them. Driving her. She fulfilled her quota because she had to, yes, but she sought out people who did harm unto others.

"I'm doing what I think is best." She replied, looking back at him. "You'll call me a villain, but those people I save from getting robbed or worse at night---they'd call me a hero." She leaned on the armrest between them again, lacing her fingers together as she crossed her legs.

"What do you think of the other terrorists, hm? The ones in white. They're wracking up the property damage as well. Causing harm to innocent by-standers."

"You are, because it is MY hour, not yours." He stared hard at her, "I vas doing my job before you came along...." He grumbled. Her answers made him even more frustrated because it was still talking to Sedna and but it was a new version of her. A new incomplete version who was finding her way.

A way she lost, he thought again, because of himself.

"The ones in vhite." He frowned again and this time found himself at a loss to answer her. Her own answers were truthful, he could tell and his fingers tapped on the wheel of the car as he thought long and hard. Silence dragging before he grunted and then sighed.

"I do not like the ones in vhite either." He scrunched his nose, "They cause paperwork, but they do not drain others of energy and they do not kill on purpose." Part of him was talking now of his Navy time. The mindset there was innocents were bound to get hurt.

This was war after all.

"So you only attack those that attack others first? This is not a lie?"

"I'm not trying to stop you from doing your job, Officer." She replied in earnest, smiling. "I think you can talk to me and do it at the same time. I want to see this justice you uphold."

The corrupt nodded her head at his answer, and didn't gloat or appear smug at the admission that the terrorists in white weren't helping either. She accepted it as it was. Just fact for him as a policeman. She still wasn't sure what to make of them herself. Aside from the fact they were the cause of conflict. Pyrophanite and Machine had rather strong feelings about them, didn't hesitate to go after them...she went after them, only if they went after her first. Considering she liked to talk to some of them, and felt fond of some of them...well.

"It's not a lie." She replied without hesitation. "I'm not looking to harm people who are minding their own and just trying to live here. They've done nothing wrong." Still trailed off for a moment. "We operate in ranks. Lieutenants, the lowest, Captains, Generals---I'm at that level, but a different branch if you will...there's only two levels above who can command me...if they give me an order, then I don't have a choice but...I don't like the thought." Luckily she hadn't come into contact with any Ascended Generals or General Sovereigns post-awakening though.

"That's not the same for everyone on this side. There's a lot of agents who will harm innocents simply because it's easy and they can...that's why you need to be careful, Officer, and not dig too deep into this.'' The corrupt paused before adding:

"I would hate it if something happened to you." She meant it. She didn't know why exactly, or how---knew it had to be tied into that pesky lifetime she had lost prior, but the thought of something happening to him tore her up. This immediate attachment, it was like when she had seen Machine for the first time when she had woken up. It was one of the few things she had from prior.

"Vhy care about what happens to me?" That was a little more concerning, if Sedna still wanted to protect him, it probably meant the woman still remembered him. It could be advantageous in the long game, if they wanted to bring Olga back.

"Is good to not lie." He muttered, tapping his finger on the wheel and then starting the car back up again, pulling back on the street to patrol. He wouldn't be able to finish work regardless and she was not leaving, since she was still a little stubborn brat.

His gaze lingered on her uniform though and how different she was. There was no more pants, no more white. Black little wings. Longer hair that pooled in the car.

Corrupt senshi had the premise to be very beautiful. His fingers tapped the wheel faster before he grunted.

"You are a military." She had no idea that one day, this military would ask her something she didn't want to do. No not ask. They would demand her. Would that darken her chaos even further?

"That's a good question, Officer. I'm still pondering it." Aside that the pesky hint of feelings. There we no solid memories to attach to him. Fragments and whispers...and yet still, if she had no one when she had been recruited, then why did she feel so strongly when she saw him? It revolved around those photos in Olga's wallet.

She glanced back at him as she felt his gaze on her, though it wasn't on her face. Oh. Her lips curled up. The sound of his fingers tapping had become somewhat rhythmic to her during their time in the car but she noticed when he sped up, even after starting to drive. Was he bothered by something?

"Mhmmm." She replied in a low hum, watching him now. The corrupt shifted, her elbow propped on the center console, and rested her chin in her hand. "Officer Vetrov..." She started, her lips curling into a smirk. The hand that had been resting on her lap moved and reached for his arm that was closest to her. "I don't make you nervous, do I?" Stillwaterite asked, her tone was a faux one of concern, as if she didn't know what could be possibly making him restless. Her finger trips ghosted down his arm, and oh, she liked the feel of it. Pale fingers reached the hand that was tapping on the wheel, and she slid her fingers under his to take a hold of his hand. Not forcefully, of course, since he was driving, but he had another hand to steer with.

"Whatever can I do to put you at ease? I'd be more than happy to oblige." It came out as a purr.

Sergei's head turned to look over at Sedna.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Her hand sliding under his made his whole body stiffen, expecting to be teleported out of a moving car to whatever dungeon she called home now, but relaxed again when she took it gently.

He wasn't sure what it was about dangerous women that made his heart jump a little in place, and he had to remind himself that this was the picture of his former (albeit annoying) childish partner. She seemed so different then her original counterpart.

Nadia was better at handling things like this.

He did steer the car though, just fine with one hand, pulling out to open road along the horizon of Destiny City. There wasn't much traffic, just the occasional late night owls like himself and apparently his partner for this evening.

His fingers now tapped against her hand instead, "Did not ansver question." He said, with another gruff sort of affirmation. "Understanding vould put me at ease, Stillvaterite." If she was attempting to seduce him though, she had to push through the barrier of old Sedna and new Sedna. Oddly enough though, he did not let go of her hand.

Perhaps because he waited to see her new self.
