Cybele nodded somberly, sad that she had reached the end of the guardian cat's questions but still feeling warm inside for having seen what she had seen.

"I think I can understand why people would want to know more," she said. "If there was really peace throughout space somehow, that's very impressive. I understand why people would want to learn more."

She did not think that she would be one of the people who used her time for that, however, even as she looked around the ruins of this campsite one last time.

"I think that I've seen what I need to see for now. Should we go back?"

Cybele looked over the landscape, the soft happiness filling her up where all the tension had been before. She still wasn't sure if quite understood the depth of the connection to this place, but that could wait. At least she'd had a few of her questions answered.

She leaned down and touched Tama's tiny paw with two fingers, and let herself be carried off to Earth.
