with some silencers you have to be at least 15 feet (or metres, I can't remember) away before it starts hittting the threshold of hearing, and most of the time enemies are less than that because a headshot is really hard to get after that distance (and enemies will hear the glass break if you're shooting a light)

I'm thinking one of the best ways to experiment with silent pistols without actually having a real silent pistol is getting at airsoft pistol that runs on CO2 and the silencer, I don't have any CO2 silenced pistols because to me that just seems pointless because after reloading your mag you have to then reload the CO2 if it runs out, so I go with traditional spring airsoft pistols.
