Chrysoprase was still gingerly touching the lump on her head when the Dark Mirror Senshi joined her a little clumsily. After all the antics, she could totally understand going a little wide on a jump and not really making it — cheerleaders did that all the time after a long day, right? She wasn't a cheerleader yet, but she was pretty sure.
"That seems like a great idea," she agreed. "I'd love to get a few extra hours instead. And there's always Friday night, you know?" Maybe it wouldn't cheer him up much, but it's not like they'd run into the exact same scenario on Friday. Even if that creep did show up, they'd know what to do. Plus, there was always shopping for a new location at a bar or something. People loved to gather there on Fridays. And football fields — she couldn't forget that! Well, unless his quota was due by then. But after that trashfire of a fight, who would wanna work on their quota?
Then he started to wander off, and Chrysie was gonna let him go at first. Then she realized she hadn't given her name, and she hadn't caught his, so she rushed to the building ledge to look over and —
"… Xi-Wang?" Chrysie blinked a half-dozen times and still wasn't sure of herself. "Is that you? Oh my god. Are you — were you —" Hands covered her mouth as she gasped. Was that Dark Mirror senshi one of her best friends from high school? What kind of coincidence would that be?
Hastily she scurried over the side and dropped down, all legs and lack of finesse, to the alleyway. She gave a quick glance over her shoulder before she dropped her transformation too. "It's me," she whispered excitedly, "Lovi!" And with nothing else to say, head still hurting, she launched herself at him for a hug.

A few extra hours of sleep was a really good idea, and her words about it only made him want to sleep more. His mind set on sleeping, on cuddling his pillow, and the cool bedding against his skin...yup he wanted to sleep!
He was caught off guard, his mind brought out of it's fantasies about his bed and sleep, by someone calling his name .The same one who had just helped him in that little scuffle...and who had him thinking so much of his bed. They knew his name...but....
Looking up he slowly nodded his head, eyes wide and larger than usual. "Ummm...yeah." The tips of his fingers peeked out from his sleeves as he raised a hand, making little grabby hands even though most of his hands were covered by his sleeves. "You know me?"
What he wasn't expecting was the lieutenant to come scrambling down to him and the bigger shock was when they powered down. "Lovina!" Oh! What a small world...and so taken by surprise he landed on his a** right on the ground, his arms about his friend. Something between a yelp, a gasp, and something else passed his lips as pain shot through him when he hit the ground - right on his tail bone. "I can't believe it!" And he couldn't. She was in on this whole war thing also...ohhh it somehow felt good in a way. He could talk to her about it now! he liked that there was no secret here now between them.
"Since when?"

"Oh my god, you weren't supposed to fall over!" Lovi chastised him gently. Fists balled up and tapped on his chest for it. It was just so totally him for this to happen. "You goof!" She felt her heart swell at the thought of her friend, with her now, his allegiance basically on the same side as her. That meant they could totally work together, right?
Lovi, being on top of him, got to her feet first. She held her hand out in case he wanted a little help getting up. Falling on the floor had to hurt!
"It hasn't really been that long. Maybe a couple months?" Lovi danced from one foot to the other a little anxiously; she couldn't remember when she got corrupted — only that Ms. Rey was there vouching for her and then that nice guy with the orange hair showed up to put his hand in her chest. And encourage her to eat some fruit after and gave her some pamphlets like it was a doctor's visit. And all that was enough to keep up with that she didn't think to remember the date.
"But it's been like… Such a trip! First I got picked by one of the consultant-type people that go visit Romano's once in a blue moon. Maybe you remember Ms. Rey? I dunno that she came around much when you were still going, though. Anyway, she's totally my Captain! And she's really cool! Like, she's teaching me how to fight and how to drain energy and stuff. And it's a lot of fun!" Lovi smiled at her friend, her hand gestures getting more and more excited as she went on. She hadn't been able to talk about any of this with anybody before, let alone a great friend like Xi. And to know he's part of this whole thing too? Her day couldn't get better!
She even forgot about her head until she made the mistake of moving too quickly and making herself dizzy. "But that's most of it, I think. How about you? When did you start being a, um… Dark Mirror, right?" She'd been pretty sure since she spotted him, especially with the wraith, but better to be safe about it.

Had she not thought he'd fall over? He wanted to laugh, instead he smiled, as Lovina tapped at his chest and scolded him gently. She would never change...and he loved her for that. She might be in the Negaverse but she was still his friend, she didn't care that he was dark mirror. The idea of so many hating him, and even wanting him dead, hurt but that hurt lessened a bit as he knew this was someone who would have his back - she'd be at his side.
Taking the offered hand he let Lovina help him to his feet, though he could have done it himself. "This...I like this - you like this." He spoke gently and reached out to gently touch her hair.
Listening as she spoke, recounted how she had been brought into the Negaverse, he ran his fingers through her hair gently. "I wouldn't have expected that with Ms. Rey...and yeah I remember her a bit. Still surprised there." Thinking of that particular female as a Negaverse agent, Captain or otherwise, didn't compute with Xi-Wang but it was true - because Lovina said it was. He didn't need proof more than what his friend said, he believed her.
"Yeah - dark mirror. Ummmm...soon after I transferred to Romano's." Since he'd originally gone to Azure high. When Romano's had opened e'd transferred there in order to make it harder for his mother, and her wife, to visit him or have him come home on weekends. He could claim duties and they'd buy it - it was a military school. "I was out late and trying to get back before curfew, which I didn't make, and I was found by a dark mirror and a cat....they brought me into the dark mirror court. I didn't tell you - I'm sorry." He was so sorry, and it was obvious, as he pulled his dizzy friend into his arms and hugged her.
"I didn't want you to know and maybe get hurt..." Protecting him, following him, or just knowing too much and slipping somehow and saying something to someone - the wrong someone. "I know how to energy drain...wraiths do it for us...but I can't fight." As Lovina no doubt knew, she knew him well enough to know he couldn't fight...but he had magic, thankfully.

Lovi beamed like this was the best day she ever had when Xi touched her hair. And, even though she got brained a couple times by some rocks and she wasn't too sure she'd come out of this without a goose egg, it pretty much was the best day she ever had. Xi-Wang knew about the whole war thing going on, so they had even more to talk about! She never would've guessed it, either!
"Nonono, it's okay!" She totally understood why Kiuchi would want to keep something like that to herself. Ms. Rey went out of her way a little to explain to Lovi that revealing her identity was really dangerous. And Lovi tried to stick to that herself, too. Maybe the Dark Mirror were the same way about their identities? Anyone who had to drain energy was probably gonna catch hell by their friends anyway. Wouldn't Izume look at Lovi funny if she said she had to suck the life out of people like a vampire! "I totally didn't tell you either. So we're even there, okay?" She still leaned into the hug, though, and tried to express her relief for him by squeezing him tight.
Lovi grinned. "I can't fight either, so we must've lucked out on not telling each other, huh? Buuuuuuut…" She drew out the symbol as her body language turned mischievous. "Now we can totally partner up if we need to. Like, maybe it's not a super safe night to drain energy alone, so we do it together. Or, like, maybe teaming up will discourage White Moon meanies from trying to sneak up on us.
"But I think, for now, we should definitely go to bed first. Then hang out as friends and talk about it later? Beats the crap out of just sitting on all this stuff alone." She gave him a wink as she slipped from his arms.
"Come on! We can walk home together. It'll be fun!" She finished a little too loudly; her head throbbed at the enthusiasm.sleet tempest snape good for a wrap, methinks
