So Sadie had made her way out of that danger unscathed, but in the next moment, with all the excitement, her ability to walk in her pretty heels decided to give out on her and she found herself hurtling towards the table she'd been trying to hide behind. Oh no.

Luckily, she managed to get to the corner of the table where the gorgeous wood wasn't heaped with piles and piles of hors d'oeuvres. She steadied herself, gave a little smile to those nearby, and helped herself to miniature strawberry tart.

Due to Gaia being down for all of last night, you may continue to roll for Prompt 2 if you have not already done so.

Prompt 2 + Prompt 3 will close tonight at 8PST when we post the next prompt. Thank you! <3

Prompt Three:

So the table wasn't quite avoided but you survived the encounter. That has to count for something, right?

You spot a full glass of liquid (champagne for those old enough, sparkling water for those who aren't - you know who you are) and take a sip of it to calm your nerves. As you try to make your way from the potential mess behind you, a wayward leg of an idling partygoer sticks out and manages to trip you. With a lurch, you're tumbling forward... right in the direction of one of Joellen's display gowns! CRAP!

Wonder how you fare....

Roll one 10-sided dice to see what happens!

1-3: You stumble forward and land on the carpet, making a fool out of yourself. Your drink? Well, you managed to not splash the priceless gown in front of you but you did drench the security guard standing protectively nearby. Definitely not your lucky day.

4-6: You trip and fall forward, but your glass avoids both guard and dress and instead covers an innocent bystander. Man, way to be a jerk!

7-10: Thankfully the glass in your hand was nearly empty and the remaining drops land on the carpet, right in front of the display. Whew!

It was with haste that Adaline backed away from the table, laughing nervously as the interrupted guests did there best to try and hide how irritated they were.

A waiter passed by with champagne flutes and she snagged one from the tray and lifted it to her lips to take a drink. Okay, okay. She had this. Things were normal human, everyday disastrous not like...suspicious. The drink was going to help chill her out...yeah. Totally.

Definitely.

Except, as she made her way away from the people who probably didn't care for her, like at all, her heel snagged on something and she was falling forward.

Oh no the gowns.

Quick movement allowed her to avoid spilling on the dress but...to her unfortunate luck, some one was passing by and she spilt all over them.

"AH I'M SORRY."

PROMPT 2

7-10: Your balancing skills are top notch and you manage to not only steady the table in time, but you do so with a winning smile that dazzles the startled guests at the table. Look at you, fancypants!

Roxanna was having a blast at the party. She of course couldn't drink, not being old enough, but the punch was good and she was enjoying admiring all the fancy dresses and finding opportunities to hand out her own business cards for her tailoring business she was working on building. With her pink hair in an elegant updo, she knew she looked the part in her hand made dress, elegantly decorated with lacy flower designs and complete with a mermaid skirt flare at the end. It shimmered in the bright lights with her movements, and perfectly matched the pink of the rose on her corsage she bought at the donation table on her way in. Her clutch and bag with her purchases from the same table were held in one hand, while a cup of punch was held in the other.

Unfortunately, so distracted was she, that the teen almost missed the table full of food and her hip bumped into it. Her years of skill as a gymnast must be what honed her reflexes as she swiftly caught and balanced the table, somehow managing to catch it even with her hands full and without spilling a drop of her punch. She grinned brightly and gave a soft chuckled and an ‘oops, silly me’, before making sure that the table was indeed not going to fall over and taking a careful step back.

Relieved, Roxy tucked her clutch up under her arm and plucked a shrimp from a plate and chomped down on it, hoping to hide her bright blush of embarrassment as she quickly stepped away from the table.

PROMPT 3

7-10: Thankfully the glass in your hand was nearly empty and the remaining drops land on the carpet, right in front of the display. Whew!

Emptying her glass of punch, Roxy makes her way over to the table and decides that some sparkling water sounds good, and a bit less sweet than the punch. So she gets a glass, thanking the server politely, and decides to head over to admire the display gowns, her mind going over what kind of stitches were used and how she could possibly take some bits and pieces for her own designs.

With her mind busy, she doesn’t see the man suddenly stick his leg out, and wearing heels, even though they weren’t very high, made it even more difficult to stop from falling. With a cry, the teen tumbles towards the display and thuds down onto the floor, the mermaid skirt keeping her from being able to spread her legs far enough for any kind of balance or attempt to catch herself. Her heart leapt into her throat for a moment, until she realized that the glass in her hand had only had a few drops in it, and it hadn’t splashed far enough to affect the designer gowns.

Phew.

But now she had to pick herself up, and it proved difficult until the man who had tripped her came over to help and she had to lift her skirts out from underneath her feet. She thanked him as he apologized and picked up her clutch for her, a server coming over to retrieve the glass and make sure she was ok.

Rattled but relieved, she nodded and rubbed her sore chin, having smacked it on the floor on her way down.

Well, that was a trip.

Sadie found herself reaching for a glass of champagne as well as her snack. She'd always enjoyed the taste of the beverage. However, it seemed as though this one when her previous streak of narrowly avoiding disaster was about to come to an end. She closed her eyes, meaning to savor a nice sip, but then she took another step, tripped, and found herself fully flying.

She wasn't simply falling, either. She stumbled forward and watched as the champagne began to fly from her glass in almost slow motion and towards one of the dresses on display, which was a bit bourgeois for Sadie's taste but nonetheless looked very expensive and not at all like something she wanted to ruin.

She managed to shift a little bit, but it was far from a graceful recovery. Her drink instead splashed right into the face of the security guard who was, well, guarding the dress.

"Oh," she said, going slack jawed. "Oh, excuse me, I'm extremely sorry." That was not enough. She felt herself going red in the face.

This was, apparently, not going to be her night.

Caught up as she was with trying to clean herself up, Felicity didn't even notice when she began to wander towards another table. Her attention was too focused on the stain on her dress and mopping up the idiot drunk's drink that had splattered onto her skin. Her hip struck the table hard enough for her balance to falter as pain bloomed, yelping as one of her ankles twisted in her high heels. Her hands splayed and struck the already wobbling table, the force being enough to send plates and drinks fumbling into the laps and chests of people seated at the table.

"S-s**t! I'm so sorry!" Felicity's face went red, backing up quickly in horror. The beautiful cloth was stained with food and drink, the occupants of the table lifting their voices in understandable rage. For Ms. Feardorcha though, that was a cue for a hasty retreat. Her mother's PR people were going to have another field day around her name if she stuck around longer, she could already see that incoming...

Spotting a lone flute of champagne, Felicity ignored the age restriction--she still had her fake ID if really need be--and downed a portion of it to steady her nerves. Or try to. Maybe it would be best to call this an early night..? Frustrated--she'd barely even begun to enjoy the party!--she didn't again notice the danger in front of her. Of course, had this idiot not stuck his leg out so carelessly, she wouldn't have tripped. She screamed as she went tumbling forward, aware of the expensive dress before her--and the security guard, oh good lord--and for a moment, she was sure the tabloids would be featuring her crazy ******** ups the next day.

It was fortune alone that her tumbling glass struck another bystander instead. Though Felicity hit the ground hard, wincing at the throbbing pain in her hip, ankle, and now knees, it was a lot better than having ruined one of Joellen's display gowns... or pissed off security.

Evren grabbed a bubbly drink… nonalcoholic and drank it. So far this had not been the best night of her life but she was sure she could turn it around somehow… Evren maneuvered to get away from the table when all of a sudden she noticed she was in a crowd of people walking the opposite direction of her. “Ah, par-“ Before Evren could finish her sentence she found herself stumbling towards the dress that was on display. Luckily though she took one of the lesser filled glasses because as she dropped the glass it had almost hit the dress. She let out a sigh of relief and collected herself and picked up the glass from the ground.

Prompt Two: (7)

Accalia had showed up late but apparently not late enough to avoid the event entirely, which she was glad for. She had been watching Nadia earlier in the evening and had lost track of time they had been having so much fun, however she was here now! The traffic hadn't been too bad either but she usually walked most places or drove to a spot not far away and walked the rest of the way. It was good exercise.

As she walked around a little bit she took a moment to get acquainted with her surroundings, or at least try to. A rather intoxicated person stole her attention away as soon as she walked into the room. It would seem a few people had a misfortune of bumping into them, she however was just trying to avoid the whole ordeal all together and this lead to a rather interesting series of events for her.

Somehow she wasn't paying close enough attention to what she was doing since she was trying to make sure she didn't run into him she hip checked one of the nearby tables, where guests happened to be seated. In her mind she was freaking out but miraculously managed to reach out and steady the table and gave them a warm smile as she did so. "I do apologize," The words escaped her mouth and she did her best to regain her composure before moving onward. Taking a small gulp she prayed that nothing like that happened again while she was here. (255 word count)

Prompt Three: (9)

As she moved away from them with her heart still beating and moved to get something to drink because she suddenly became aware at how parched her throat was from that sudden scare. Taking a drink she enjoyed the bubbly texture of the sparkling water and did her best to not drink too much at once since it tended to make her burp a bit, not like she was trying to impress anyone anyway. Still, she had to keep her manners. Moving away from the earlier almost fiasco someone's leg became an object in her path and she stumbled forward, the glass escaping her hand just enough for it to tip. But the glass was nearly empty by this point so the few droplets landed on the carpet. She reached up and placed her other hand on her chest, how many near heart attacks was she going to have at this little shin dig. She hadn't even been there for 10 whole minutes!

At least the gowns were safe. While she was there she figured she could admire them for a little while. The work was exquisite and she could only hope she could maybe sew like that one day. She rather doubted it though. She wasn't much of a sewer even though she tried to give it a go now and again, she felt rather silly with her simple creations, at least she could admire this persons wonderful sense of style. She wondered what else was around here that she could look at. (253 word count)

"Ha I dodged that."

Tzuyu was not paying attention she was walking backwards. She was walking backwards looking at the drunk. Someone needs to do something about him. They shouldn't even be offering any booze of any kind. There was underage people here. She didn't want to feel like a snitch or anything but people like him could do extreme damage. Maybe she could write an anonymous note or something. No one would have to know it was her.

She was stopped walking backwards and turned but she had turned and walked into a table. A table with cake and punch (which was probably spiked) The table looked like it had seen better days. It rocked then all the food landed on the people sitting behind it. Tzuyu grasped.

Tzuyu had horrified. She couldn't believe that that had happen.

"I am so sorry."

She didn't know what to do. She considered going over to them with napkins and trying to clean them. But from the looks on some of their faces she could tell that appoacing them wouldn't be such a good idea.

"I am so sorry"

She apologized again. She didn't know if she could ever stop apologizing. Plus she didn't know if it would be enough.

She back up again and stopped. She needed to start paying attention. She looked behind her and noticed one of the servers passing by with flutes of champagne and mom alcoholic drinks she took one of each off the tray and looked to make sure no one looking and finished them both in one big go up. She wasn't sure which to take to calm her nerves but she took both.

She turned back to the destroyed table and made her way back to it. She could probably help them clean up. She actually didnt know what happen between that moment all she knew was that someone had their feet out and she tripped and the remaining drink she had in the glasses had spilled.

The good news? The expensive dressed she had saw coming in were safe. She had almost skilled the wines on one of them.

The bad news? Thevwimes had spilled all over one of the people who was behind the table. Who was already covered in cake.

"OMG."

Not again!! She couldn't be live that had happened. She turned to see if she could find the person who had slipped her up.

"That was an accident. Someone had putted their feet out and tripped me."

Bathroom. Then drinks. Then back to Fi. That was the order of things but as Pat tried to make his way towards the restrooms to dry off his wet trousers, stupid glass made it look like he had a 'accident', a waiter passed. The way his luck was going right then the tall redhead expected the guy to trip or get shoved or some how bobble his tray and drench Pat. Surprise, surprise! He didn't. Nope. Not at all. What he did do was stop and offer Pat a flute of champagne, as if Pat wasn't wearing enough of the drink as it was.

Rather then turn it down, like he should have, he decided to snag one of the sparkling waters that was also available on the tray. He was driving so no alcohol for him but he wanted something to help distract from the wet cloth currently clinging to his thigh. Besides it helped occupy his hands and kept him from fiddling with the wet patch and drawing attention to it. This would come back to haunt him... very, very soon.

He was making his way past some of the gowns on display, casually sipping his water and eyeing the designs, slowly working his way towards the bathroom when someone stuck their foot out just enough that he caught it with his foot. He didn't even realize it until it was too late. One moment he was walking like normal the next he was tripping and the glass tumbled out of his hand. Lady Luck was having a real field day with him that night since she kept the sparkling water from ruining one of the display gowns but he unfortunatly drenched some poor lady's leg. Now he just had to face a furious woman and a pissed guard. Someone kill him now. Please.

Prompt Four:

You manage to keep from ruining the gown (somehow) but now you've really pissed off one of the scary looking security guys that happened to be standing in front of it. There's a few options that pass through your mind... should you run for it? Or maybe you'll try to sweet talk your way out of the situation?

Either way, you'd better make a decision... and fast!

Roll one 10-sided dice to see how you fare!

1-3: You stay behind to try to sweet talk him into calming down. All you end up managing to do is insult the poor man's mother, only infuriating him further. Rude.

4-6: You decide to blame it on the poor person standing nearby as the one who'd tossed the drink but the security guard doesn't fall for it. Maybe you should brush up on your lying skills?

7-10: Exit, stage left! You make a run for it, excusing yourself from his presence with a meek and apologetic smile. There's no way you're sticking around to see what happens next!

((If you're late to the party, feel free to jump in at the latest prompt. You can't roll for the past ones, but we'd love to have you for all the ones going forward!

Next prompt will be posted tomorrow morning at 8PST <3

Tzuyu just wanted the night to be over. So far she managed to not spill anything on her but ended up spilling things on other people. She was going to go and make a plate of food and go home.

She noticed one of guards who was standing up and strengthening. He had a headset on and was looking at her as he was talking.

"Affirmative"

He started coming towards her.

"Miss"

Tzuyu shooked her head.

"I am sorry."

She turned and made her way to the front of the room. She ran out into the hall and made her way to the bathroom. She was going to come out when it was safe.
