"No, it's true. We're only for senshi, really. We can kind of help the officers in that our tech and information is valuable, but there's not a lot more that we can do for them like we can for senshi." He shrugged a bit, looking over at Aue. "He's not mine, he belongs to a friend. Just keeping an eye on him, but don't worry. Sourpuss can take care of himself."
Tiberius figured they'd both end up bloody and battered, that was the nature of the game. Aue's magic cut, just as the captain's weapons cut. They were both big bastards. It wasn't a death-match, things should be fine.
"I was assigned to an officer when I joined, but I'm over several senshi under her care. It's fantastic. I prefer my senshi, but...its good to help my people, period."

HP: 30/30 // DMG: 0Definitely a brawl. He'd seen less twitchy, angry looking sonsofbitches lording over basic in American GI movies. Or in horror films. The armor was probably also going to be a bit of an issue, protecting all those lovely torso-vitals, but that was fine, he could still work with that. In the stands, he caught sight of several known faces - packmates, allies. Potential distractions to be banished from thought until the bout was over. If they watched and learned something, regardless of the outcome, that was good. If they watched to see his a** in uniform and learned nothing, that was their own stupidity and a failure as an agent of the Negaverse to take advantage of a rare opportunity. Aue gave his opponent a curt nod as the signal to begin was given. It was time to see how well his reflexes were; the senshi bet they were pretty good, or he wouldn't have such an air about him, but it was best to feel such things out rather than rely on what he could only see. A quick feint with a right hook, a miss - purposeful but not made to look that way - would give him an idea about the captain's reflexes and possibly also make the other man drop his guard some with how he dealt with Aue throughout the match. Feel free to think I am all show, Captain. Gym muscle and no more. Just a brainless senshi, after all...under-estimate me, please. I would like for you to do this. It will make our match that much more interesting.

Seraphinite was more than capable of handling a fight against a senshi, although Jet knew that underestimating senshi was probably not the best idea. His own senshi were capable, but he knew nothing of Seraphinite’s opponent.
Jet sat in the stands, ignoring the cats as they chattered amongst themselves. He ignored the others who were apparently there to watch the senshi fight as well. His whole hearted support was for the Captain in black; his long time friend and brother. Sorin would have been proud of both of them, or at least he hoped he would have been. It was a little difficult to ask the dead questions.
He tried not to grin as the senshi missed his first attack, hoping Seraphinite would be able to gain the upperhand easily that way. He just needed to be careful about the senshi’s magic. Physically, they seemed to be pretty even, although Seraphinite had the height advantage.
----------------------------------------------
Kamacite watched, completely unfazed by the fact that Aue’s first attempt at attacking his opponent had missed. In training with him, Kamacite wouldn’t have been surprised if the miss had been intentional, although it definitely put himself at a disadvantage if the Captain didn’t get too cocky and underestimate him.
No, Aue knew what he was doing. This was just a chance for Aue to test his skills. Win or lose wasn’t the goal; it was the understanding that came from it. Aue would not be any less of a formidable opponent if he didn’t happen to win. Although it would be nice to see him knock the lights out of everyone he faced.

The fight was starting! Lace moved to the pole that was holding one of the ropes, sitting on it and looking at her agent.
"G...GO SERA!!!" The kitten waved her paws in the air.

Seraphinite knew it was too early to tell if the guy was just getting a feel for the fight, or throwing in his all right from the get-go. Did he believe all senshi were first and foremost traitors until proven innocent? Yep. Did he believe they were automatically weak and dismissible? Not with their magic for a chunk of them, no. This went especially so for those who actually knew how to fight without their magic.
Did little to keep him from being frustrated to be fighting one, of course, but even he could be logical through his anger--most of the time.
With more range on his side for physical attacks, Seraphinite moved back quickly from the strikes, making quick slashes towards the senshi's thighs and following it up with a dart in to slash towards his chest. Testing moves. Ones that, if they'd connected, he'd have been rather disappointed in for the prospects on this fight. If he was going to fight a senshi, it'd at least better be an interesting one.
Hearing the small voice though from the stands, Seraphinite made the mistake of glancing up towards Lace, blinking a bit at the little... wave she seemed to be doing? What?

HP: 30/30 // DMG: 6His opponent seemed to also be offering little testing forays with his winged weapons, nothing too quick, nothing too difficult to dodge. Quick enough that it required the senshi to show some speed if he didn't want to end up taking first blood, however, which was absolutely not on his agenda for the day. Seraphinite would be the one that bled first into their arena, he would manage that much at least for his Pack. Aue's estimation of the captain's capabilities to rise slightly - they were both doing the same thing, feeling one another out in a thoughtful, metered manner. The way soliders did. Or those trained by soliders did. But then his opponent made a critical error, one that caused the Finn to narrow his eyes. You dare take your eyes off your enemy in combat? That will be a critical mistake for you, captain. He stepped forward again, bringing his hands up and drawing on the magic within while Seraphinite was distracted watching the tiny black kitten performing some trick or other. "I am your opponent, you dare look away?" Aue flashed his teeth, "Petal Storm" His Finnish accent set the words to rounded, vowels enlongated, the 'r' rolled in a way that said English wasn't his first language. It didn't matter. It was effective. The magic came when called, violent for all that it started as a cacophony of flower blossoms, right at Seraphinite, the largest concentration aimed at his face. Kaefaux Aue summons a storm of lemon blossoms that burst apart, petals flying at the enemy to cut (a la lots of tiny paper cuts) and then dissolve into lemon juice, which stings like a biatch in the fresh petal-cuts. May also cause further topical damage/burning due to the citric acid involved. The burning/stinging effect lasts for 30 seconds and is most effective if it hits the victim's eyes. :> Attack can leave larger cuts if player wishes. Per BSSM canon, Aue can perform this attack 3x per battle.

It was his ******** up. He ******** up.
His quick glance, his quick lapse of attention... angered as he was to fight a senshi, he could only blame himself for the massive ******** and the consequence it brought.
No s**t the lemon eye-bright senshi would have a magic that hurt worse than a b***h. The petals erupted in his face, slicing skin and melting into lemon juice. Right into his damn eyes. "Mat' ublyudka--!" There was perhaps only one person in that room who'd ever previously heard Seraphinite--rather, Jericho--speak Russian. Blood ran freely from his forehead and into his eyes, joining by the stinging, burning acidic juice from the senshi's magic. Large slashes overflowed across his forehead, but the worst were a few gashes that cut into his right eyebrow, the most of blood coming from them.
Of course, the fact his eyes burned so much he couldn't really open them due to the ******** lemon juice... wasn't much of a wonder that as he tried to blot (not rub) at his eyes with his sleeve with one arm, and slash at the senshi with the other still holding a sword, that he missed.

HP: 30/30 // DMG: 1Aue watched the pain his attack had wrought with a grim sort of satisfaction. That would certainly teach his opponent a bit of a lesson, now wouldn't it? Lessons learned the hard way were often lessons that stuck the best, after all - and he wouldn't lie, seeing Seraphinite in pain and bleeding was validating and delightful in some primitive, lizard-brain sort of barbarian way that appealed to his Finnish stab-everything nature. The Russian that spewed forth set his Finnish teeth on edge. <******** indeed. So, he was dealing with one of those bastards. Aue narrowed his eyes at Seraphinite. "Russian? No wonder you got distracted so easily. s**t hockey, s**t fighters."

Faustite shot his charge a belaboured side-eye. "You'd drown this room in your own self-pity. Stop wasting breath and watch." He paid no further comment to Heliodor's vocally defeatist attitude.
Especially since the battle would finally come underway — Faustite straightened as Aue measured his first blow. Yet the strike missed, whether purposeful or accidental. Faustite watched the way his body moved with the transferrence of energy, how his shoulders curved and his spine bent and his feet found a wider stance. The captain responded in turn, though he found distraction in the crowd, he supposed. The angle of his gaze turned him toward the stands, not the opponent. No one has it together tonight. Are they all so rattled by spectators that they can't remember their months of training?
It's an epidemic at this rate.
After a few shots, he spoke at last. "Double or nothing, Heliodor." His starless gaze sidled over to the troublesome Negaverse senshi and away from Aue's unmistakeable muscles. "If Aue wins, you turn in twice the quota. If he loses, I'll do your quota." Maybe that will force your attention into the ring.kolina may edit pending the above posts

Like an obstinate child, Heliodor couldn't help the roll of his eyes as Faustite chastised him. Never-the-less he did as asked and turned his attention to the fight in full. Perhaps he'd actually gain something out of this, it certainly wasn't beyond expectation. Assuming, of course, he put his mind to it.
The two combatants started off with little fanfare. He was intrigued by the other corrupts magic and paid particular close attention to what it did and how the senshi utilized it. Helio found his own magic a bit....lacking himself. Perhaps a change in tactic for it may work?
But, as it turned out the corrupts magic was a much more offensive magic than Helio's as it barreled towards the captains face. Welp. So much for getting some new ideas from this guy.
The Captain hadn't retaliated though. In fact, it was as if he was just enjoying playing around with the corrupt. Sure these weren't serious life or death fights but it seemed a bit odd that little effort was being put into them? Was there something else going on?
Seemed he wasn't the only one finding this fight lacking. "Why not? I've got nothing to lose." He shrugged. It was the truth, Helio rarely did anything outside of his Negaverse duties for lack of anything to do. Having more energy to gather would be a nuisance but, what else was he going to do with his time? He could only stretch and practice ballet so much on his own in a second floor loft and moping certainly hadn't been helping him.
"Maybe you could get me something for the loft if I win? A mattress would be nice. Hell, even a chair." Might as well try and add to his winning pool.

Tourmaline had sat quietly for a time after initially offering jellybeans to General Wolfeite, nibbling on one or two here or there herself before finally getting up to wander closer to Kamacite. She appreciated that the senshi was there in support of their comrade and hoped that he knew he didn't have to do so alone. If she was irritated that the fight had taken so long to get started she didn't let it show, instead letting out a wild whoop of a cheer when Aue finally let off his attack. "That's it, Aue! Show 'em how it's done!" General Tourmaline was, if nothing else, an incredibly supportive friend and higher ranked officer. Pity she probably hadn't thought at all of how much she might startle Kamacite with all of her shouting. Ooops,

SpectatorCome on, don’t get distracted, Jet thought to himself as he watched the fight unfold. They were just toying with each and not giving the crowd anything to watch. And even worse was Seraphinite looking over to see what the small cat was doing.
Jet frowned, but chose to ignore the cat for the time being and instead focus his attention back to his friend. If he didn’t win this, he would just have to hold it over Sera’s head. Metaphorically. ----------------------------------------- While apparently others thought the fight was boring just because nothing was really happening, Kamacite kept his eyes on the ring, watching as both fighters intensely, trying to figure out how they were deciding to move the way they did. They were testing each other, that much was clear, but it didn’t seem as though the Captain had his thoughts entirely on the fight and looked away.
Kamacite cringed. That was a horrible mistake. But then, out of the corner of his eye he saw General Tourmaline moving closer to him. Why??
He scooted down a little, hoping that maybe she was just passing through and didn’t actually want to be near him, because why?
And sure enough, Aue used his magic on him. Magic that Kamacite was very glad Aue hadn’t used on him the first time they’d crossed paths, because that would have been horrible.
And sure enough, Tourmaline shouted her support of Aue and his magic, and he practically jumped a foot in the air, a hand reaching to clutch at his heart as he shrunk farther away from her without actually getting up to leave. At least it was her and not Faustite coming over to make fun of him or something.

SPECTATOR
Someone tall and dark haired came up beside Jet, tattooed arms coming up to fold across his broad chest. He surveyed the fight in front of him with a look of mild amusement on his pale face, chin lifted, lips quirked up in a slight smile.
"Think he'll do well?" Gadolinite asked languidly. "They're both giants."

Enyo let out a hum at the new information. So one could have both agents and senshi? How curious. "I am blessedly not under anyone's thumb. Though, if my hunch is correct soon I will find myself with someone- perhaps a senior agent or some such nonsense." As the fight began, she settled to sit and watch, eyes taking in the way the two moved at each other, seasoned as they were. "They-" She looked to Lace, reaching out to gently lay a paw on the kitten. "They are skilled; I must admit, I did not expect them to be going to passionately to this." Blue eyes looked to Tiberius, "Do you think that with all those watching, it is making them be more aggressive in their tactics? A need to impress if you will?"
