Valko let Hatil take his bag and set it in front of the house. There wasn't really a point of carting it around when he was at someone's place. The chances of someone stealing the bag was also very slim since this was the woods and his friends place. Not the it mattered much it wasn't like there was anything valuable in the bag.
He let his friend lead him to the small house thing where the smoke was coming from. Oooh so it was a cooking house! That explained the smoke and the delicious scent that hung in the air. Hatil seemed like she was very proud of it. There must be tasty snacks in there! Not that he was going to eat his friends food without permission. Someone else's maybe, but not Hatil's food.
Yes a food making house was something to be proud of. It would be clear from his body language that he was impressed.

When they got closer to the house, Hatil's nose scrunched up and she made a face before sneezing in a spectacular fashion. Blech. The smoke always made her nose tingly and her throat hoarse; she hated it! But the smoked meat was so good... She could put up with it. It was a bit harder now that mama wasn't maintaining the stock, but they were capable enough birds to get by on their own. The taste was beginning to improve too!
Sneezing once more, she motioned to the mostly-sealed door. "Wanna see the meat? We got a whole deer in there!" Nearby, a singular blue harpy watched the pair with an exasperated expression from a lone perch. What in the Guardians' name was she doing? And wasn't that that kid from Venus' parties she always hung out with; the heck was he doing here?

As the smoke got thicker valko coughed a bit. Then he was starttled by a violent sneize from Hatil. Ouch that seemed painfull. Luckily the next sneeze didn't seem to be so hard on his friend.
Why did smoke have to be so scratchy? It stung his eyes as he got closer.
A whole deer? They had an einter deer cooking in that building amazing. Hatil was a great hunter indeed. " Deer!" He said in wonder, expressing in his own way how amazing that was.
He wanted the meat very much! His tail wagged at the though. Ahh but it was to See the meat not to eat it. But it smelled soooo good.
The demon was unaware of the blue harpy lurking in the trees watching them.

Nose practically growing as she puffed her chest out proudly, she offered a single nod to her friend before looking back to the structure.
Yes. There was a whole dear in there. Wasn't she amazing?
Continuing to the hut, she got right to where she was about to press open the door when an instinctive chill ran up her spine. Hand frozen, her eyes looked to either side before glancing up right at Saira. Crap. They'd been found. Smirking as her little sister finally took notice of her, Saira couldn't help but wonder what kind of effect her friend had. Normally she'd be spotted right away, but this time she'd almost been unnoticed. Strange. Either way, there was something more immediately pressing about the current situation.
"Oi Hatil, who's this? Y'know mom never wanted us to get noticed by any of the other pae, not to mention bringing one back with us..." She paused in yelling down at the pair before offering a playful, yet spiteful smirk. "So who's that?"Blinking, then laughing lightly, Hatil's complexion would have paled slightly if it weren't already white. That's right, mom did say not to bring anypae over, huh... When was that again...?
But this wasn't just any pae; this was Valko! Her friend! That made it okay, right?
"Valko is my friend!" She yelled back up to her sister, whose smirk seemed to fade at the quick response, before glancing over at Valko with a smile for affirmation.

Valko instinctively got into a on guard positions baring his teeth and looking around when Hatil froze. If she was scared it must be something bad. He might not be as good a hunter fighter as her but he'll fight anyways.
Ah so there was a blue bird in a tree. Was she the one who made his friend uncomfortable? Hearing the birds words he started to piece things together. As he did he started to ease up on his ready to fight stance.
Blue Bird was Hatil's sister. Hatil wasn't supposed to be noticed?? But why Hatil was amazing!
Oh not supposed to bring anyone home. Valko's stomach squirmed uncomfortably. He hoped that Hatil wasn't going to be in trouble because of him.
He didn't know why but hearing Hatil introduce him as her friend was nice. He watched the Blue Bird carefully in case she decided to attack Hatil, just because they where family didn't mean he could let his guard down completely.

Saira's eyes narrowed as she looked down on an aggressively-poised Valko. Little punk thought he could come into her turf and act like that? Did he wanna go? She'd the mind to set him back to last Tuesday for acting like he owned the place, waltzing in with no regard for anyone else, looking at her all pompous-like. Probably was just using her stupid sister to get at their kills... Why... Let her at him! She'd teach him to mess with them!
Her malicious aura was near palpable.
"Friend?" She laughed coldly, her smiling all but gone from her face. "So. What. That make him special or something?" Hatil had an uncomfortable smile on her face as her eyes looked around, unable to make eye contact with her sister. Truth be told, she'd forgotten about any rules mom might have had. She didn't mean to do anything bad, but...
But Saira didn't have to get so mad about it!
Stupid Saira!
Feathers ruffling, she clenched her fists and pouted as she glared back up at her sister. Her cheeks were slightly puffed and red tinted at her cheeks. "Yes. Valko being a friend means Valko is special!" Saira's impressive plumage also ruffled in response to Hatil, her voice growing louder and she yelled back.
"Is not! He's just some stupid demon!"
Stupid demon and stupid Hatil. Now that was just being mean! What did that have to do with anything anyways?
Stupid Saira!
"WELL MOM'S A DEMON TOO!"
Her voice rose in tune with Saira's, her talon stomping on the ground as she finished her quip."THAT DOESN'T COUNT!""DOES TOO!""DOES NOT""DOES TOO!""DOES NOT""DOES TOO!"
Given each sister's stubbornness, his was getting nowhere anytime soon.]

Valko continued to glare at Saira. She was making his friend upset! The malicious aura she was giving off did nothing to relax him. it served to further cement the fact that Hatil was in danger and needed back up.
That stupid blue bird was upsetting his friend. Couldn't she see that? Clearly she was the stupid one. He's friend feathers where puffed up and red. How dare the blue bird hurt her feelings!
And then they started yelling back and forth repeating the same words. The fact that they where arguing about him, was much less important than the fact that Hatil was upset. Clearly something needed to be done about it.
After several back and forth between the two sisters He decided to back Hatil up. He scooted closer to her hoping he'd make her feel better before yelling at Saira. "DOES TOO."

Hatil was quite pleased that Valko was backing her up. Unlike her stupid sister.
Stupid Saira. What a dummy. DUUUUUMY. "DID I ASK YOU?!"
There was a clear air of disdain in Saira's voice; how dare this stupid demon boy interrupt their argument. It wasn't his place to be in. And why was stupid Hatil happy about this. "DOES TOO." "HATIL SHUT UP!" "DOES TOO." "HATIL, CAN'T YOU SEE I'M TRYING--!" "DOES TOO." "Oh for the love of--" "DOES TOO." "Fine... FINE WHATEVER. I DON'T EVEN CARE ANYMORE!"
Thoroughly puffed up and agitated, Saira made a face and stuck out her tongue at Hatil before turning around and making a pointed gesture of ignoring her.Once Saira had turned around, a devilish, yet playfully childish, smirk spread across Hatil's lips.
They won.
Looking back at Valko, she gave him a thumbs up. Nice job.

Did Valko care if the Blue Bird had asked him? No no he did not. He didn't need to be asked to back up his friend.
Plus it had made Hatil happy! He grinned at her.
He had manged to throw off the Blue Bird enough that she stopped arguing with Hatil. Blue Bird was still yelling at his friend which was mean, but what can you expect from a mean jerk anyways?
Ahhh there it was! At last victory! The blue bird backed down and turned her back to them. He returned the thumbs of Hatil had given him. He was happy with how pleased Hatil seemed to be about winning the argument.

Laughing, Hatil skip-hop-jumped closer to Valko and gave him a biiiiiig hug. Good job team! Victory was theirs! Now he was free to stay as long as he wanted and stupid Saira couldn't say anything about it.
Their adventures were just beginning.
