She would think of no one better to hold her broken self. Her heart though was whole the time with him, no matter this world or the last or the future. She was content to just snuggle with him in the glittering diamond snow, but he was tenderly touching her and it made her want to do the same.
"There would be no other way I would want it, Magiore." She brushed his hair back, her hands freezing at his question. Marry? Her? Marry?
Marriage?
Her heart thudded to skip and then a full stop before restarting at the pace of lightning. Here in the diamond covered snow, before christmas, both of them happier then they had been in the last year, asking for marriage.
She was quiet so long, she thought her mind had stopped complete, but the face of adoration and shock was evident. Marriage. To her. Just like in the future. She wouldn't die before it was fulfilled though. She could actually be married to him.
"Y..Yes." Her words were almost quiet, they came out too quickly, a stumble. "Yes." She threw her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. "Yes." She kissed him on the mouth, "Yes." She kissed him on the cheek, "Yes Yes Yes." She kissed him all over until she landed another one on his lips. "Yes I want to marry you Magiore. I want to be your wife."

The words had just come out.
He hadn't realized he'd said them until they hung in the air between them, open and raw and bright, and it was only then that Magiore realized just how easy it had been to say them in the first place. For someone as self contained and reserved as he was, emotions were difficult; he didn't express them often, or at all, unless it was with Durumi.
But it had just seemed...right. It felt natural, as though this was what he had wanted to do all this time. They had been together for a long time now, and the feelings he had for her hadn't diminished in any way since he'd given up trying to resist them. For months he had attempted to push them back, to keep them at bay, to not let them overtake him - until at last he had realized that there was no point. His love and affection for Durumi were a brush fire, one strand of grass having caught fire and now everything else followed suit, until it was all encompassing and hot and bright.
This was what he had wanted all along. This was what he had fought for and bled for and given up everything for, for this. Whether or not it had been influenced by that future they had seen didn't matter; there was no such thing as destiny, after all. They chose their own paths, their own ways, and Magiore had chosen Durumi just as she had chosen him, forging their own way together.
And now, seeing the way that she had frozen at the words, he wondered if it was too soon. Four years was a long time, but it also felt like no time at all. The anxiety pulsed in his throat, a heartbeat alongside his own, and maybe she was going to say no, what if she said no -
Durumi's face transformed. The sheer adoration was enough to make his heart nearly stop, but everything else that accompanied it - the dawning happiness, the stumbled over words, the press of her lips against his own, and the arms around him and the kisses that took his face - all were almost subsumed in the singular word.
Yes.
She'd said yes. She'd said yes.
Magiore caught her face in his hands, guided her back and kissed her hard, not caring, for once, about where they were and who might see. They were alone in this park, in this glittery, diamond snow park, and she had said yes to marrying him.
He kissed her lips, her face, her cheeks, her temples, every part of her that he could reach, happiness exploding in him like a firework.
"Good," he said breathlessly, and it came out a little rougher with emotion than he had intended, Magiore pressing his forehead to Durumi's, his hands framing her face, feeling the pressure in his chest, the sheer relief, the utter joy and happiness. "Good. Yes. I love you. I want to marry you and be your husband for now and forever, past death and into the next life."

She had so many things she wanted to happen. She had to tell Tatsuya, she needed to find a dress, she needed....she needed to get things prepared, they could have a small garden wedding, with a small group of people.
She took a deep breath, as all the emotions collided together until she just....
Started crying.
"I didn't think we would get married." She said between hitched breaths and sobs, "I didn't...I thought...because of the future....There would be things stopping us." She shook her head, "I..I told myself I was content to be your lover, and...Love you but..." She wiped at tears, soaking them into her sweater sleeve.
"I'm so happy, I love you so much too, I am so happy." She repeated again, curling into him and clinging to him. She kissed him again, regardless of the tears that were streaming down or people passing by or whatever.

He could almost see Durumi's mind short circuiting with the effort of trying to sort through all of her thoughts, Magiore watching her with adoration in his eyes even as the tears started to fall. The stammering, the hitched breaths, everything that she was saying - he felt his heart constrict just looking at her.
His hands rose, reached up and gently pressed against either side of her face. Magiore's thumbs smoothed across her damp cheeks, brushing away the tears, feeling the warmth and the gentle curve of her skin, could almost feel the words she spoke like a physical touch.
"I didn't think I would - could," he said quietly, and Durumi, of all people, would know just how much he had fought against this, how hard he had tried to not let himself get suffocated by a future neither one of them wanted. "I I thought that I would be able to let you go, back then. But I can't. I won't."
Her lips pressed against his, Magiore's eyes fluttering, his heartbeat painful against his chest.
"I won't ever let you go," he murmured against her mouth. "Not then. Not now. Not ever."

"I can't believe I'm your FIANCEE now." She threw her arms around him again, smothering the man in the snow filled kisses before letting him up to breathe. It was like in that moment, the love and light of Magiore drove away the overwhelming madness and chaos plauging her system.
She felt normal.
She felt ecstatic.
SHE FELT AMAZING.
"Will you make the rings, like you did in the future?" She reached for his hand lacing it with hers. "Will you make our rings my love, so I can take it with me to stars and beyond when I come back every lifetime for you?"
