That evening, just before true dark, one can hear the sound of softly stepping hooves just outside, near the quiver. If the sound is inspected, it reveals nothing, except for the deep imprint of horseshoes in the soil around where the relic rests. From the looks of it... that's one BIG horse.
It's amazing that no one saw a thing...

WinK was up with the sun, as usual, the bright light breaking in through his window and splashing upon every touch of white in the room. With a yawn he walked down the stairs, wearing nothing but a pair of loose white knit pants. Glancing around he noted, quite happily, that everyone else was still asleep. What luck, he could check on the quiver and make sure one of the children didn't mess with it in the middle of the night.
Walking through the gardens as the sun slowly painted the sky blue through golds and oranges he raised an eyebrow, pausing a little on the grounds that rolled into the orchids. Those were huge prints ... and they didn't own any type of horse animal.
Walking up to the relic, still amazingly hanging from the tree if someone had been trespassing and walking around it so much, he tried his hardest not to step on the prints. "What in Heaven's name passed this way last night?" he said with his hands on his hips, inspecting them with his back to the tree, trying to figure out what went on.

The next morning reveals a strange sight...
The quiver is gone, however, there is something else out there. Frolicking in the grass is a leggy little foal-youth, squealing happily as he chases butterflies in the morning light.
Where the other Changeling children seem to be very young, to the point of being helpless, this little one is already up and moving around, and seems to be trying to speak, even if he can't quite manage words yet! ((Your little one appears to be about 2-3 years old, and is already trying to speak. It will be difficult for him at first, but he'll catch on. biggrin ))

There was a knock at the door. Upon opening it, it appeared that no one was there, but on the doorstep, a festive easter basket, brimming with candies, was left.

The centerpiece of the basket, nestled in beside the chocolate bunny with the marzipan eyes is a painted egg.
Poking out of the plastic grass of the basket, there is a letter:Karma Dear WinK,
Happy (early) Easter! I realize I've never met you before, but I found your name on Jaden's shop roster along with your address and I thought it would be a good idea to say hello. My name is Karma and I am the keeper of Arkanti, one of the other Changeling children. I promise I'm not a stalker or anything. Honest! I realize that your baby may be too young for the candies, but that doesn't mean his mommy can't enjoy them for him if she likes. You may have noticed the painted egg, and just to let you know, its not for eating. The yolks have been blown out so that it will survive long past this Easter if you would like to keep it.
I hope to meet you soon!
Love, Karma and Arkie

WinK sighed, putting his hand on his hips. Giving a centaur a bath was probably the hardest thing he'd ever tried to do. Even more so than teaching Morgon that he couldn't just go into the kitchen and eat all the peanut butter he wanted whenever he wanted. And that had been hard, because one just doesn't tell a fully evolved tala that they can't have their favourite food whenever they want it.
"Keelan, stay put, please," he said, sighing. It was so hard to stay mad at the buckskin colt. He was just too cheerful.
"Yeah!" Keelan said with a smile and stopped cold.
He was standing on a wooden platform out back of the little cottage that WinK had moved into. The platform was nestled between two gardens, one a blossoming rose garden that Aurora was currently working on, giggling whenever WinK had trouble with Keelan. The other was still mainly dirt with naught but wooden markers for the seeds Aurora and her boyfriend MacBeth would plant soon. Behind the platform was a small clearing before one of the largest orchards that WinK had ever had the pleasure of owning.
WinK grinned and corrected Keelan, "'Yes,' not 'yeah' all right?" he said and went back to trying to get the caked mud off of the curious foal. So curious that he'd tumbled while inspecting a frog and landed in a mud puddle. In WinK's personal opinion it was probably the largest puddle Keelan had found all day, having 'fallen' in all the previous ones too.
Keelan grinned. "Yeah!"
WinK laughed and shook his head, taking a wash clothe to the young man's face, much to the youngster's displeasure. While Keelan made faces and tried to free his chin from WinK's firm grasp the angel just smiled as he removed the mud from pink cheeks and from underneath gray eyes.
Moving a smudge WinK frowned slightly when it didn't move right away. "Keelan, what did you get on your face?" he mused aloud, looking at the black spot that was the shape of an arrow pointing up at the colt's outer left eye.
"Schola!" Keelan said, wrenching his head away from WinK's hand. He nodded, looking up at the brown-haired angel with certainty. WinK had learned that while the colt couldn't really use his language there were a few words from his own that he still remembered. The green-eyed man already knew that he didn't need to say "Keelan-fel" but just "Keelan" as the -fel meant something. What though, he had no idea. Child? Male? Son? He was still baffled. Just like the word "phlsa" was a greeting of some kind. Of course, WinK still had no idea the immediate translation.
With all of the moving he hadn't been able to go in to see Jaden Silvermoon to ask the man exactly what was going on. Of course, he didn't mind taking care of Keelan and hoped not to give up the boy. After all, he'd moved so it would be easier to take care of him, and he had grown attatched to the colt, as well as his own little cottage in the woods, just like all of his pets had.
Speaking of pets, this cottage seemed to have come with a great number of animals that like to hang around, and since Aurora had started feeding them -and naming them- he felt obligated to keep them as his own. There were a few dogs, twp cats, and a little white mouse that Aurora had named Jezzabell and since it had green eyes (which WinK found oddly fitting since they matched his own) she had also put a green bow upon the little things tail, which the mouse had yet to discard of.
The one cat, a bright yellow one that had an affinity for dragging hats around, particularly an old birthday hat WinK had someone managed to not discard of from years ago, sat on a pole near the platform. Sunshine, the cat, was very particularly attatched to WinK and liked to purr near him all day if aloted. Of course, if the cat wasn't with WinK it was with Keelan, which was nearly half the day. Why had Keelan come home so dirty and Sunshine managed to stay so clean? WinK snorted, resenting the feline for her inability to watch out for mud puddles.
"Schola, eh?" he said, rubbing Keelan dry with a towel. "I'll take your word for it."
"Yeah!" Keelan said while WinK chuckled and rubbed the colt's shaggy black hair dry lastly.
"Now ... you can go and play, but no getting dirty," he said. He pointed at the mud, then at the towel. "That leads to this, all right?"
"Yeah!" Keelan said before scrambling off the platform, his hooves flying as he went, leaving WinK to smile. Sunshine darted off of the pole, darting after Keelan through the grass leading into the orchard.
That certainly seemed to be his favourite word for now. Hopefully, WinK thought as he picked up the brushed and towels from the foal's bath, he'll never like the word 'no' as much as he liked this one. He chuckled and coiled the short hose that was attatched to the platform before picking up the bucket with Keelan's bathtime esentials in it and walking to the back door.
Opening the door he stepped in a soft yellow-colored kitchen which always seemed to make him smile. After he'd stowed the bucket in a corner of the kitchen he went to change clothes, having gotten dirty himself cleaning the rambunctious colt. After he had on a fresh change of clothes he stepped out the front door, ready to go visit Hatter next door and make sure the demon hadn't been ignoring her bills in his absense when he spotted a brightly colored basket.
Picking it up he admired the sweets and colors before reading the note, which made him laugh. He quickly went inside and put the basket where no one could get to it while he was gone- in his room. The animals around here were likely to eat it, no matter who it was for. He decided that after dinner would be a good time to introduce Keelan to a piece of -small!- chocolate.

4:11:04 - Well now, I think it's time I start keeping track of Keelan's adventures. I suppose one day once he's mastered the pen he can write here instead of me. Or maybe he'll let me share? Hopefully he will.
Today, simply put, we went shopping after Keelan had a run-in with a cocoon. Unfortunately we didn't get to see Skye, who he was hoping to run into. I think that one day shortly I should have the dragoness come over so she and Keelan can interact freely. Of course, if the baby is doing fine I know she'll come over. Maybe Flarie can watch Keith for a little bit?
Well, anyway, Keelan's hair is getting rather long and instead of cutting it off (I can't help it, I'm a fan of long hair, having it myself, besides he seems rather fond of it - he yells and fights back when I pull out the succors) I've showed him how to pull it back into a pony tail (hah, I find this name amusing since he's a centaur) so it doesn't get snagged when he's out exploring.
Speaking of growing, I can't let him run around naked all the time. Although, I suppose that for a centaur he's not entirely naked ... is he? Either way, while we were in town today I took him to a store and had him fitted for some shirts. He seemed rather fond of the vests though, so I ended up ordering more of those than any of the other articles. His attention was also enraptured by a belt, and even though I explained to him that belts were meant to keep pants up, he begged and pleaded. I caved and bought him the black one that has a silver, leaf-shaped belt buckle. He doesn't know it, but while he was looking at shoes (a concept I later had to explain since I unfortunately lack shoes, I just don't like wearing them) I snuck a black wrist-cuff into the order with the same silver design embossed on it. It's a bit too big for him now, but maybe once he's grown it'll fit him better?
Since he's growing and he has thoughts of his own (most of them, thank the Lord don't involve the word "no") I let him pick the colors he wanted for the vests. I shouldn't be shocked to find that he stuck to greens. Moss green with brown beading seemed to be his favourite and as soon as we got home he put it on and ran outside to show Aurora who was digging through the garden.
I put the belt, which is a little too big for him still, and the cuff away, promising to give them to him once he was a little bigger. I wonder if when he grows I should teach him archery? It's a trait I'm quite good at, but I can tell with his wonderful sense of aim and sharp focus he'd be wonderful at it.

RP via PM WinK was sitting at home, his half-moon glasses were on as he looked at the pages of a book he'd been reading recently on equine behavior and care while Keelan was on the floor, his legs folded up underneath him as he read through his newest book on butterflies. Senses were something that the dragoness had come to rely on a great deal when she was 'lost'. She had been to the manor once or twice but the area was still rather unfamiliar to her. When she felt that feeling she stopped to close her eyes, letting her senses reach out until she could 'feel' the angel's presence nearby. She was almost there... Good. Flipping the page he looked down at Keelan who was blissfully ignoring him as he read through his book. With a smile he noted that the colt had put on the maroon and black vest ... he'd taken to clothes faster than the angel had thought. Glancing up at the clock he wondered when Skye would get there. He wanted the boy and his lover to meet officially and he figured tonight would be an appropriate time after Keelan had had such a good day with wonderful new experiences. Finally she found her way to WinK's home. The entire area sang with a song that was attuned to his very presence and it enveloped her. She gathered her skirts into her hands and took off towards the house, making her way through the grass as if she was just experiencing a spring evening for the first time. Once on the porch she knocked gently on the door, awaiting a response. Hearing the knock Keelan looked up from his book, glancing at WinK questioingly. They usually didn't have visitors after dinner, though the angel seemed unsurprised. With a grin WinK closed his book and got up as Keelan scrambled to find his footing. It was a few easy strides to the door and he opened it, beaming at Skye, "Hello, lovely." Keelan put his hands on WinK's legs and peeked around them, his head almost at the angel's waist as he looked at Skye, blinking. Her hair was a bit tousled and her cheeks were a lovely rose color as she grinned up to the angel. Spring seemed to suit her wonderfully... Especially her mood. "Lovely? Me?" She chuckled softly, eyes dancing as they flickered down to the wee one grasping her love's legs. "You couldn't be talking about me when there's this lovely lad hiding behind you." WinK smiled and pulled Skye inside gently, his hand, once done closing the door smoothed her red hair as he grinned down at Keelan. The centaur had moved from behind WinK's legs and was grinning up at Skye. "Skye!" he said happily. "You're Skye!" He looked from WinK to the dragoness, his hands moving to mimic horns on his head. "What are those?" he asked, remembering to use the full sentance instead of just saying "What?" Her smile broadened as she looked down to the quadruped child. He was absolutely brilliant... Completely equipped with WinK's curiosity. "Yes, wee one. I am Skye... And those?" She reached up tapping at the delicate crystal horns. "Are dragon horns... Has WinK told you stories about dragons?" Keelan was enraptured by Skye, his hands dropping and he nodded, prancing a little. WinK chuckled and nudged them over towards the couches so they weren't standing by the door, slipping off to get Skye something to drink while Keelan fulfilled his curiousity. "Are you a dragon?" he said, circling her quickly before she could sit down. "But you don't have ... " he paused, frowning. His thumbs hooked together and his fingers flapped in the air. "Wings?" She chuckled softly as she reguarded the young centaur. She was getting good at understanding these mimicing movements. Time spent with a baby was good for that at least. "Nope. I don't have wings... But that's because I'm only part dragon." She nodded happily as she sat down, still smiling to him. Keelan moved closer, his hands reaching out as if to touch her horns when he heard a throat clear and looked over, his arms in midair. WinK was standing in the doorway with a tray of hot water in a pot and a cup with tea, ready to be made. "Did you ask Miss Skye if you could touch?" he said, his voice sounding slightly authoritative but amused. Keelan looked back at Skye, his hands still in the air when he said, "May I, Miss Skye?" His gray eyes looked doeful and large, pleading. "Only if you call me Skye... No 'Miss'. You'll make me feel old." She teased as she leaned forward, resting her head in her hands and her elbows on her lap. It was so strange how much she sounded like her 'other self' while saying that. As WinK set the tray down on the table, touching the pot again to heat up the water, his elemental magic stirring it hotter, Keelan's hands explored Skye's horns, his mouth formed into a small 'o' as his fingers moved over them. "Smooth," he said simply, and, "Cold?" He tugged gently, wondering if they came off. "Careful there..." She chuckled softly as he tugged. "They're just as much a part of me as your tail is a part of you, Keelan." Her eyes were dancing as she looked up to WinK. Even if she didn't say it aloud it was clear that she thought the boy was 'simply darling'. Keelan dropped his hands, grinning as he glanced back at his tail, letting it swish back and forth for a moment, pondering this thought. "Do you ... " he paused, going to pick up the book he'd left on the floor while WinK offered her the tea ball and a cup of hot water. For some odd reason he just couldn't cook. It always turned bad. Heating water was easy, but putting the tea in the water was somehow puzzlingly disatrous. Keelan came back, holding the book out to a page that showed a butterfly wrapping itself in a cocoon. "Do you know?" She waved away the tea for now... She'd probably have some after things had settled... But not while there was still so much to curiously explore. The dragon was just as enchanted as the centaur by this whole thing. "Know about a butterfly? Yes... A little bit. We have many of them in the gardens over the summer." Keelan scrambed to move to where both of them could look at the book as WinK set the objects back down with a grin, leaning back into his chair contentidly, happy things were going so well. Keelan's hand sprawled across the page, he was grinning. "They are catarpillars, then butterflies!" He clopped his front right hoof onto the floor gently, glad he knew this now. "And they don't smell bad like nasty wine!" He nodded and WinK laughed, the angel covering his mouth as Keelan remembered the 'things change over time' conversation. "Aye... Many things in life change that way... Only few turn out as brilliantly colored as butterflies." She chuckled softly. "Have you seen a butterfly yet?" Keelan nodded. "Yes! First day here, lots of butterflies!" He grinned, closing the book and setting it down on the couch next to her. "They like flowers, yeah?" he said, using his favorite word. "Aurora has lots of flowers, they like those!" He glanced at WinK, obviously having fun chatting away with Skye. "Yes, dear. They do like flowers... Which is why they're always fluttering about my gardens at home." She chuckled softly as she looked over to him. "We also have faeries. Did WinK tell you about those?" Keelan shot a glance at WinK, shaking his head while the angel smiled and relaxed in the chair. "No ... f-faeries? They they butterflies too?" He tilted his head to the side, a hand reaching up to tug on his short-stumped pony tail. "A bit like butterflies... They have delicate wings... Only they look like a little person. Not usually any larger than this..." She held her hands a few inches apart, holding them in front of him. Blinking his hand dropped from his hair, reaching out to hold them as far apart as Skye's were. "They're tiny," he said quietly. "Really like people?" he said, his hands still in the air, looking up at her through his bangs, wondering if she was playing a joke on him. "Just like people... Only with more sparkles..." She chuckled softly at his wide eyed look of curiosity. "They like music and flowers... And some of the ones in my garden only come out when the moon is bright." Keelan's hands closed, excited. "Can we go see?" he asked, awestruck, suddenly taken with the idea of viewing these creatures first hand. There weren't any around Aurora's gardens, nor in the orchards. He looked at WinK, who shook his head slowly, making Keelan pout. "It's almost your bedtime young man," WinK said somberly. "But perhaps we can go soon?" he asked, looking at Skye, the colt's head snapping back to attention to look at the dragoness, eyes wide and hopeful. "But of course, Keelan. One of these evenings you can stay at my house and we'll have a chat with the fae..." A slender hand reached out and she gently ran her fingers through the boy's hair. Keelan smiled and nodded, excited with the chance of seeing something so wonderful sounding. Did faeries talk, or sing, or dance or ... His mind ran off on wonderful tangents and was interupted by WinK's announcement that it was time for bed. With a frown he looked at Skye, knowing it was hopeless to beg for assistance. Picking up his book he walked into his room, waving goodnight and swishing his tail at the adults. A soft smile tugged at the corners of her lips as the watched the little lad make his way to his room. "WinK... He's absolutely precious. I can't wait until Keith is old enough to ask questions like that." WinK smiled and chuckled, keeping an eye on the doorway, making sure that Keelan actually went to bed. Sometimes he would wander around if he wasn't tired, but after all of the adventures today he was probably too exhausted to mind getting sent to sleep. "He's very bright, and quick to boot," he said, turning his attention back to Skye with a warm smile. "I have a feeling that when Kieth is a little older he and Keelan will get along just fine." "Aye... I'm sure that they will. Of course... that just means that we'll have two to keep out of trouble instead of just one." She slid over on the couch, patting the empty space beside her. WinK got up and moved to sit next to her, smiling happily as he took one of her hands and enveloped it in his, squeezing her fingers gently. "I'm sure that Keelan will be a responsible boy. He's quite grown up for his age," he added, his nose wrinkling, "it might be his past, where he's from and who he was before, but I'm not sure." She moved once more, this time to curl up against WinK's side. "Yes, he is... With all of the curiosity of a kitten. It's wonderful." She thought for a moment... Of past lives and being someone before... "Time will tell, yes?" With a gentle hand he smoothed Skye's hair, grinning. "Time is something we cannot stop. Not you, or I. But I know that we can flow with the river that is seconds, minutes, hours, days, months and years," he said, wrapping his arms around her. "You can come around as often as you like you know," he chuckled. "Keelan really likes you. Usually he'll get bored and wander off." "I'm glad that he likes me, WinK. He's a beautiful boy with a bright outlook on everything..." She chuckled softly. Keelan was so different than her oldest son... So dark and brooding. "Of course, if you don't let him see the faeries he'll pout miserably for a long time and make me feel bad," he chuckled and glanced at the tray that held the forgotten tea. "Are you staying the night, lovely?" "Now why wouldn't I let him see the fae? They like company... Even if they can be a bit mischievous. They'll love his hair." Her fingers trailed slowly over his chest before following his gaze towards the tea. "If you'd like me to... I've been a good girl. I've earned a day away from the house." WinK chuckles and kissed her forehead gently, glancing at Keelans door when he heard something thump against the floor. Chuckling he knew that Keelan had probably turned the light off and was running into stuff, as his night time eyesight was quite poor. "All right, I'll make sure to wake you up early if you like," he added, standing up, offering her a hand. She slipped her hand into his before standing, running her free hand over the folds of her skirt. "Darling, the dragon lets me know the moment the sun touches the sky... If I truly wished to wake early I would do so." WinK chuckled and slipped his fingers through hers, leading her towards the hallway. He glanced into Keelan's room quickly, finding the cold sprawled out on a mattress he'd put on the floor as a bed for the young boy, the butterfly book open on the floor. With a grin he let her look before pulling her down the hall and into his room. "Fine, I suppose I shall let you sleep in." "You actually plan on letting me sleep?" She chuckled, eyes dancing as she looked up to him. "How kind of you..." He chuckled and shook his head, pushing his hair out of his face as he grinned. "Only if you want to, otherwise I'm sure we can amuse ourselves. We are, after all, adults." He grinned and closed the door behind her. "Mmm... True enough... But I am sure that your little lad will be up and about early ready to take a trip to my gardens." She twirled away from him, flopping gently onto the edge of the bed. "Mmmmm," WinK said, sighing softly with a chuckle as he unbuttoned his shirt. "That's one thing that Aurora never did that Keelan loves doing. He'll wake me up as soon as the sun rises to show me something new he's discovered." He chuckled and flopped down onto the bed, sighing happily. "Then perhaps I should let you sleep in for once and awaken with the sun's first rays in order to keep watch over him?" She raised a brow as she looked over to him, hand reaching up to tuck a stray strand of hair away from her face. WinK smiled softly, putting his hands behind his head as he looked up at the red-haired dragoness. "No, I will happily wake up early to spend the day with you and the little guy," he said, his eyes dancing with the thought of Skye and Keelan exploring the fae together. "Maybe we could bring Keith outside as well... The fae seem to like him." She chuckled softly as she looked over to WinK. "I'm sure they will adore Keelan." WinK smiled and pulled her back onto the bed gently, wrapping his arms around her. "If they love him as much as I do, and as much as you do as well, then he has nothing to worry about." He chuckled and placed a kiss on her lips. She nuzzled her head against his chest, letting her eyes close for a moment. "So many little children... What on earth are we going to do with them all?" WinK smiled before yawning and relaxing against her. "Wake up early every morning and make sure they turn into wonderful people?" he chuckled tiredly. After spending the day running around with Keelan he was much more tired than he thought he would be. "Go to sleep, WinK..." She purred softly against his ear, fingers running tenderly alongside his face. "Get all the rest you can." He smiled, looking at her through the lashes of tired eyes. "Yes ma'am," he said with a soft chuckle, squeezing her middle gently as he drifted off to sleep quickly. Her lips pressed against his forehead before she settled back to watch him sleep. So peaceful and beautiful... Eventually she drifted off beside him, the dragon setting its 'clock' for dawn.

4:17:05 - What a day we had!
Keelan woke Skye and I up early, one giant ball of energy, excited and waiting to see the faeries in her garden. He even had his green vest on, grinning happily and stamping his hooves on the floor. I'm glad that Skye isn't irritable with children, instead she thought this was quite cute and after a quick breakfast we left Aurora in charge of the house and went to see the dragoness' garden.
Keelan, I must say, loves the faeries and is quite excited about them and they in turn feel the same about him I must assure you. He had a marvelous time, and I was very happy to see that he was anxious in his new discoveries, asking Skye all kinds of questions and getting all kinds of answers.
There is one thing that happened that I'm not entirely happy about though. While chasing one of the faeries (I believe they created a type of "tag" game with Keelan) he neared the edge of Skye's garden and happened upon a snake. Now, I'm very happy that he wasn't harmed (thank the Lord the snake wasn't a poisonous type) the colt was very frightened and ran right back me, asking to go inside away from the snake.
Now, Skye's back yard is quite large and very well manicured, so I don't blame her for the snake, but it worries me that he doesn't even want to go into the gardens at home now, or even into the orchard, which he absolutely loves. I've never cared for a centaurian boy before (and have only known one my whole life, and not entirely well) but I am sure that they are not city-dwelling creatues and prefer the outdoors to the indoors. But since we have returned from Skye's house he has scarcely stepped outside.
I don't want to push him because I don't want to make the fear worse, but I certainly don't want him disabled from this incident either. I'm not entirely sure how to approach this.

Something has happened!!Oh no, Keelan is gone! The only hint of what may have happened is hoofprints leading away from a tiny green snake that looks more confused than anything. Your quest:Keelan ran so fast and in such a panic that now he is lost! He'll have to adventure on his own for a bit, learning new things and perhaps meeting new people and creatures. Only by doing this on his own will he grow as a person... and perhaps have his outside grow to match as well.

Aurora was walking home from her shopping excursion in Traverse Town, humming quietly. She'd gotten to talk to Seph, which made her happy, and she'd managed to pick up everything that WinK had asked her to, including a few odd-looking snake traps and a gigantic color-photo book all about the serpants for Keelan. Poor thing, he hadn't ventured outside in a day or two because he was afraid of seeing a -
She stopped and looked at the path in front of her at the small grass snake that was flicking its tongue out, looking rather confused. The snake didn't bother her, she came across many of them while gardening, especially grass snakes, which were harmless. The footprints around the snake that eventually led away off in a direction Aurora hadn't explored on WinK's new property yet, however, frightened her.
Dropping the bags, making the snake jump and try to slither away, Aurora reached down and scooped up the serpant, holding it gently and running as fast as she could towards the house. Once she was close enough to see WinK out back conversing with one of the Nereids about their latest water bill she changed direction, scrambling towards the angel. "WinK! WinK, Keelan is gone!" she said, screeching to a halt near the pair, sending dust flying.
Covet looked up at Aurora, then at the snake, and snickered before slinking off into the water, not even noticing the rude gesture Aurora had given her.
"What do you mean he's gone?" WinK asked, standing up, the bill in his hand. He looked down at the creature in her hand and jumped slightly. Being around Keelan with his new acute fear of snakes had made him jumpy, even though he lacked the fear of the serpentine. "Why are you holding that? Where is Keelan?" He glanced around, as if that might bring the centuarian colt into view.
Looking down at the little snake Aurora frowned. "He's gone. I found the snake with a bunch of his hoofprints around it ... they led away to the part of the property I haven't explored yet ... "
WinK frowned, not realizing he had crinkled the water bill into a small ball of paper with one hand. "Well, we have to look for him, simple as that. Show me where you found the snake," he said, looking down at the poor little green creature who was drooping sadly in his daughter's hand as the blonde turned and quickly walked where she had run from. With a worried sigh Wink followed, his gaze glancing around just in case he saw a flash of gold that could possibly be Keelan.

RP via Main Thread - Child Quest 1 of ? GreenEyesWinK He was no longer stumbling through brush in a blind fight to get away from the terror that had snuck up upon him as he'd taken his first trip outside in two days since he'd visited Skye's house. Instead he was pushing his way through the branches, wondering where he'd gone to. He didn't recognize the woods or the area, which made the small colt pout as he was usually very adept at not getting lost at all. Hearing a 'shhhhhhhhh' noise that made his heart jump he glanced over his shoulder at the ground, his feet kicking up in an automated responce against any dangers that might be sneaking up on him.
He didn't get a chance to see if there was a snake there, though his heart was pounding in his chest, as he stumbled down a small hill, hooves digging into the soil as he struggled to find footing before stopping suddenly on an even area. A road. Blinking, a little shocked, he looked up and down the road, wondering how close any roads came to WinK's property and which way would take him back. TormentedAngie Angie was wandering down a random road, as was her nature. Never could she stand in one place too long, or travel down the same road more than twice in a row. So it was no surprise to find the fox-girl wandering down a road that she'd never been down before. Upon her shoulder was a purple kitling, Ryuuen, and beside her walked a small menagerie. A puri, Seiteki, slowly meandered by her side, skittering out from the large feet of a ninau that followed close behind. How Angie'd come upon this road could be anyone's guess, but what she was doing with such a group of rag-tag misfits was just as much of a guess.
The ninau, Justin, shied a bit as he heard hooves clamber up on the road. Angie also heard, and perked her ears up, glancing in the general direction of the noise. "Hello! Is anyone there!" She called out, squinting slightly to see the figure in the distance. picking up speed in her walking, Ang hurried closer to see if whoever it was. Who knows what kind of friends you could find in a place like this. GreenEyesWinK Keelan looked up and down the road, his ears, slightly more atuned than that of a normal human's (not that he was a normal human, but people often mistook his human half to have human limitations), and quickly spotted the rag-tag group. His interest perked immediately even though WinK had warned him to be weary of strangers the woman and her surrounding affections didn't seem harmful. Just in case though, he didn't move towards them, he let them move to him, hooves braced to run if he needed to. He might be small, but for a centaur he was fast. Hopefully fast enough if they were foe and not friend.
"Keelan," he said, sounding a little hopeless and lost. He wrinkled his nose -a bad habit picked up from WinK- and made sure that when he spoke next his voice sounded firm, even if he didn't realize his body language spoke volumes of how weary he was. "My name is Keelan." He was a fel, not some regular centaur. There was no reason to be shamed into being scared, but he was. Years of being told who he was when he was much younger churned against regular fears that every child possesed, he only had to chose which to listen to. TormentedAngie Jogging up to Keelan, Angie paused, turning around to see her companions wandering as slowly as they had been. Lazy fellows they were. Turning back to the figure, she glanced him over. A centaur. She'd seen some before, even housed one herself as a companion. But never had she seen one quite like him. He looked rather young, but quite handome. Perking an ear, she heard a word from him. Then more. Ahh! He was talking with her! Oh.. right. Mentally bonking herself upside the head, Angie nodded and spoke.
"Hello Keelan! My name's Angie. And this," she pointed to the kitling on her shoulder. "Is Ryuuen, and those two are Justin and Seiteki, repectively. Sei's the short one." Chuckling softly, she glanced around, wondering where this little centaur had come from. "Nice day for a walk, don't you think?" GreenEyesWinK Keelan looked up at Angie, blinking as he felt himself relaxing. Following her gaze he looked at the animals who accompanied her and nodded as she said their names, mouthing them as to try and remember in case he ever ran into her again. She seemed like a friendly person, and not someone that WinK would want him to run from.
His body relaxed and one of his hands absently tugged on his dark blue vest with gray beading on it. There were a few rips in it, as he'd been running through the woods and had collected a few scrapes and bruises from wayward branches. "Phsla, Miss Angie," he said in greeting. "Walking? You're just walking?" he asked, blinking up at her with gray eyes. "I am searching ... walk?" he asked before remembering to ask the correct way, the way WinK had taught him. "May I walk with you?" It would be nice to have someone to walk with him in case a snake appeared. Hopefully she wasn't afraid of snakes either. TormentedAngie Keen eyes caught sight of the ragged vest, with new found rips, but she didn't say anything. "Searching? May I ask for what you're searching? And of course you may walk with me. I like having company with me, especially company that's as polite as you are, Keelan." Pointedly she glanced in Seiteki's direction, who harrumphed and flapped his tail around agitatedly. He refused to talk now, mainly because Angie'd been talking about him with that last little speech.
Justin gently nosed the young centaur, whickering in greeting. Being the gentle plodding old ninau he was, there was no malice or harm in his greeting. Ambling ahead of them, the ninau glanced across the road for some yummy clover and honeysuckle in which to snack on. Angie chuckled at her old friend's actions. "He likes you Keelan. That's more than a good sign, though I'd be afraid he'd want to stay with you now." Laughing, Angie shook her head. The ninau liked everyone, and often tried to go home with them, if only because they'd given him a treat, or smelled like something he wanted to follow. GreenEyesWinK Keelan's cheeks turned a slight pink color, but unless you paid close mind you would barely notice the slight flush at her mention in his polite mannerisms. Perhaps WinK was right, manners were a good thing. "Home," he said sheepishly. "Searching for home." He glanced at Sei who had made an aggitated noise and flicked his stump of a tail that was steadily growing as long as the hair on his head, still pulled back and tied, was.
Being nudged by the Ninau he smiled and rubbed behind an ear, reading Justin's body language and his contented nature. Horses and horse-like creatures were easy for him to figure out since he was nearly one himself, he felt at home with Justin and the ninau just made Angie's presense much more consolling. "He's happy with you," he said softly as he watched the ninau munch on the clovers he'd just ripped through as he'd come sliding down the hill. TormentedAngie "Home? Oh my....you must be lost! That's not good... However it's not the worst thing in the world either. I'm constantly lost." Giggling, the fox-girl couldn't help but wave her arm around to point out the scenery. "I'm not quite sure where I am right now, but with Justin here, all I need to do is tell him home, and he'll find us a way. But that's only in a last ditch effort. I'm getting pretty good about finding my way around after I've been lost. But I understand how you must feel."
Angie grinned at Keelen's words. Always good to hear that her companions were happy to be with her. She wouldn't venture to try to understand how the young centaur knew, but was glad for the reassurance anyhow. "I'm glad of that..." GreenEyesWinK Keelan listened to Angie speak and a smile spread out across his face, greatful to have her be the one he happened across while lost. "Do you get lost often?" he asked. It sounded as if she did it on purpose. Who would want to get lost on purpose? It seemed silly, but if you liked to explore... Keelan wasn't sure if he liked to explore yet or not. The scrapes weren't plesant but meeting Angie certainly was turning out to be.
"He's happy," Keelan said, nodding, glancing at Justin again with a smile. Listening to Angie talk something perked in his mind. "You've been to many places, maybe you've been to WinK's house?" he asked, his voice hopeful. If Angie knew WinK, or had at least been to his lands, maybe he could find his way back. TormentedAngie It was now Angie's turn to blush slightly. "Yes, I do tend to get lost a lot. Sometimes its intentional, others it's not. But I make the best of it, regardless of if I meant to or not." Chuckling, she continued, slowly down the road. "Right now, I've gotten myself sorta lost...intentionally. I was sick of walking down the same road, saw this other road forking off mine, and took it. Which isn't a bad thing because I came upon some rather wonderful company."
Swishing her tail happily, Angie thought for a moment on Keelan's question. "Hmm.. WinK...WinK... I believe I know him, but don't think I've been to his place yet, unfortunately. I wish I could help you there...." She shook her head gravely. There'd been many places she'd been, many friends homes she'd visited, but she hadn't gotten to WinK's yet. "Tell me about this place, maybe if you describe it, I can help point you in that general direction." It was the least she could do, to help point him in a relative direction, if she could... GreenEyesWinK Keelan smiled at Angie, starting to regain his coltish hyper nature back as he got more and more comfortable with the woman and her companions. Wandering as Angie did almost sounded fun after he listened to how she described it. He wondered if anything could sound tempting if put into the right light and swished his tail as Angie asked him to describe WinK's land.
"Well ... there's a two story house with a small brick wall out front," he started out, tugging on his tied-back hair absently as he thought. "Aurora's two gardens are in the back, one with roses, one waiting to be planted. Oh! And pools for the Nereids!" he added, thinking quickly now, his young face puckering slightly. "And an orchard with apple trees and ... other ... trees." He wrinkled his nose, looking up at Angie, upset that he didn't know what other trees grew there. He just liked the apple ones. Would that be enough, or would she not know of what he spoke? TormentedAngie "Nereids! I believe that's how I met WinK. I don't know him very well though. I'll have to remedy that, now that I've met you." Angie chuckled and glanced around for anything that might look...well... WinK-land-ish. "I have a pair of lovely nereid beauties myself." Hmm an orchard.... "Sounds awfully pretty out there Keelan, you're a lucky boy!" Angie grinned, continuing their walk down the road. "It just so happens, there's a road up here, if I remember right, that leads down towards what appears to be some orchards... Not sure who they belong to, but there's a chance they might be WinK's. I did some wandering around here a while back, up to where the crossroads ahead are. If you follow that road down, there's a good chance you might end up home, or closer, at least..." Her ears flicked, straining to listen for the laughter of nerieds at play. It wouldn't be that easy, she knew it, but it was worth trying anyhow. GreenEyesWinK Keelan strode along the path next to her, craning his head up to look at her as he walked, his hooves thumping firmly and confidently against the road. "WinK's Nereids are very nice ... except for Covet," he said, blinking as he thought of the tattooed Nereid. She had a habit of being quite rude and very petty. "But the others are quite nice," he added with a smile, thinking of Mari and Angela and the others.
Listening to her description of the roads he payed close attention and tried not to let his mind wander as a butterfly fluttered across the path. "An orchard?" he questioned aloud, mainly for himself. "That might be home!" he said excitedly, his small hooves skittering across the path as he grinned. "Will you come with me, or must you go on your own way?" Her company was welcome, but Keelan learned long ago that adults had things to do with their own time. TormentedAngie Glancing at the position of the sun, Angie shook her head sadly. "I'm afraid I won't be able to go with you, I've promised someone I'd be home soon. I wish I could though." Smiling down at her young companion, Angie chuckled. "However, I will have to come and visit you some time. Maybe take you for some walks, if WinK gives us permission. How's that sound, Keelan?" Angie flicked her tail as they walked, glad that she might be able to point the young one in the right direction. She always loved to help others, be it just a friendly hug, or helping them when they needed it. Ryuuen fiddled with her hair, reminding her of her other companions.
Glancing behind her, Angie caught sight of Seiteki bouncing playfully around another butterfly, while Justin had gotten down on his back and was rolling around in the grass by the road. It appeared that everyone was having a grand time on this walk, more so than she'd originally expected. Laughing, the fox-girl turned her attention back to the hyper colt. GreenEyesWinK Keelan's tail gave a sad swish but he smiled softly and nodded, understanding. "I would like that very much, Miss Angie," he said carefully, trying to remember the proper words to say. "And thank you for all of your help!" he added as they neared the cross roads. He looked down the direction he was told to go and sighed, wondering how long it would take him to get home.
Glancing back at the pets as she did he smiled, happy that at least Angie had a companion to walk with. Hopefully it wouldn't take him that long to find his way home. He'd give anything to have Sunshine meow at him and pester his chasing butterflies, or Bas to come and make sure he didn't get into trouble, even if he did bark a lot. "Thank you again!" he said as he trotted quickly down the road away from Angie and her friends. TormentedAngie Angie smiled and waved to her newfound friend. "Safe journies, Keelan, and I hope you make it home soon!" Angie paused at the crossroads, watching the little centaur trot away. "Think he'll be okay, Justin?" Turning to her companion who'd lazily wandered over to rest his head on her shoulder, she reached up to stroke his velvety nose. Her answer was the usual reassuring soft whicker he gave her whenever she asked such questions. "Alright then. Lets head on home..."
"You do realize I'm still mad at you for that comment a while back.." Piped up the puri from behind her. "Mmhm. Wouldn't dream of forgetting. Really..." Angie chuckled and headed in the opposite direction of Keelan, bounding down the road ahead of her friends. A stunned Ryuuen quickly clung to her neck, trying in every way possible not to fall off. It was quite the sight, to whomever might be watching...

RP via Main Thread - Child Quest 2 of ? GreenEyesWinK Walking down the road Keelan's young face had a small frown crossing his lips. He's followed the directions that Miss Angie had given him and he was standing on the road he'd taken when he'd parted ways with her, and looking at a beautiful orchard. But it wasn't WinK's orchard and that seemed to be the main problem. His lower lip trembled and he tried his hardest not to cry, but he wasn't sure which direction to go now. He missed the angel, and Aurora, and all the cats, dogs and a few mice that seemed to live around the house. Even Morgon and the Nereids were pressing on his minds.
He sniffed and stepped into the orchard, settling to sit down underneath a tree to think and hopefully figure out which way to go from here. And maybe stop crying. Zero Dream Footsteps echoed nearby, perhaps louder than they should have normally been for the woman that made them. Blue deads bounced on her shoulders as she walked, humming a bit at the music that came from headphones. However, she suddently stopped, turning the music off as she perked. ...Sniffles ? And hooves marks, too tiny to be one of Adrian's horses... It was then that Zero noticed the small centaur, near the tree. Her eyes softned, and she sat beside him, laying against the tree. "What's wrong, kiddo ?" GreenEyesWinK Keelan rubbed his eyes, sniffling loudly and when he spotted the woman -however odd she might appear- walking closer he scrubbed his face harder, trying to rid himself of any signs of having cried. What he didn't realize is that it only made his tear-streaked face look more guilty of the action.
Looking at the woman he blinked, openly staring though he wasn't aware his mouth was slightly open. He'd never seen anyone with blue hair before, and when she walked she sounded so ... heavy on the land. Wondering why he was too stunned to shy away when she sat down and spoke. "I'm lost," he said stubbornly sticking his chin out, as if daring her to make fun of him. Zero Dream "Ahhhh." She simplely answered. "I get lost sometimes too. It happen to everyone, really... Where are you trying to go ? Maybe I would know the way." However proud the young boy might seem, it was obivious he would need help. His reaction to her did not seem to bother the lady much - as if she was too well used to it and had learnt to ignore it by instinct. GreenEyesWinK Blinking, having heard this twice already, he was starting to wonder if adults spent half their lives getting lost. "I'm trying to find home," he said simply, still pouting, his eyes watering over slightly without his realization of it. "I got scared ... and I ... got lost," he said, wrinkling his nose.
A hand snaked up out of habit to play with the small pony tail that his black hair was tied into as he gave Zero the same description of WinK's house, with the gardens, the Nereid pools, Aurora's gardens and the orchard. "That's why I'm here," he said, glaring at the surrounding trees as if they had betrayed him. "I met a nice lady and she told me these might belong in WinK's orchard and they aren't," he said sadly, his hand tugging on his black hair. Zero Dream "Ahh, I could see why it would seem familiar." Zero's face turned pensive, as she tried to recall if she had ever seen something like this... She had talked to WinK before, but had no clue where the angel lived, or even his phone number... which posed a problem, really. "Is there a city around where he lives ? What does it look like ?" That would be a good point to start, yes... GreenEyesWinK Keelan watched the lady and nodded, thinking. "He lives on the land next to Hatter ... outside of Dor ... Dur ... eeeem?" he said, raising an eyebrow. It was a large, crowded city. It was where he'd gotten the vest he was wearing, and as he glanced down at it his nose wrinkled momentarily. He hoped WinK didn't mind the few rips.
Looking back up at the blue-haired woman. "What's your name?" he asked, his curiosity overcoming his sense of worry as it did in most small children. Zero Dream Durem ! Well, this was a big improvement. "My name's Zero." She answered, idely flicking a strand of blue hairs away from her scarred eye, that she tried to keep hidden as much as possible in hope not to scare the child. "I live in Durem... This is a friend of mine's place. I could get you back in Durem, at least..." Her lips curved in a smile, and she asked. "And what would be your name ?" GreenEyesWinK He blinked. Durem! Yes, that was right! A small smile spread across his young face as he beamed at the odd-looking but nice woman. The tears vanished from his eyes as if he'd never been crying, though his cheeks remained tear-stained.
"My name is Keelan-fel of Strongwood, but I live with WinK now," he said, nodding curtly and crossing his arms loosely, as if that explained everything. When she offered to help him back to Durem his gray eyes went wide and black eyebrows shot up. "Would you do that really, Miss Zero?" he asked, his tail brought to life with excitment as it flicked back and forth. Zero Dream "Of course I would." She grinned. "That's a nice name, Keelan..." The little centaur was so adorable, really. What a little darling ! "Would you ratter go now, or ?" GreenEyesWinK "Thank you, Miss Zero," he said. He smiled and this time was succesful at fighting the blush that came along with a compliment aimed at him. Instead he scrambled up onto his legs, his tail frishing to the left and right with excitment. This was turning into an adventure!
"Could we go now?" he asked, glancing around. "Or, is there something you need to do?" he added, to make sure he wasn't imposing upon the woman, remembering that adults had things to do too. Zero Dream "Oh, no, its all fine." She smilled, getting back on her feet as well. "I was just walking around and enjoying spring, but that's much better to enjoy in great company, ne ?" Pushing another bang of rebelious hairs, she jumped over the fence and went back to the road. "Durem's over there." She announced, pointing torward the west. GreenEyesWinK Keelan thought about this, glancing up at the sky pouring down with golden sunlight as the birds sang merrily while they flew through the air. As he climbed through the fence carefully he nodded, agreeing with her. It would be nice to have someone to walk with, certainly.
Looking to where she pointed he headed off in that direction, his hind legs giving a little kick with excitment. He was on his way again, back home! Even if Durem isn't where WinK resided someone would know where he lived with all of the shops that the angel had accounts at. "Is it far?" he asked, skittering around the road with a grin, circling her with a hyper air. Zero Dream "Hmmm..." Zero pondered, a black and white hand pushing the sunglasses over her eyes before both ended up deep in his pocket. "About maybe 20 minutes walking... But that mostly depends at the speed you walk at. You seem to have gotten awfully far from home, ne ? How did you get lost, anyway ? I mostly get lost when im not thinking about where im walking." She grinned. "...Or when I see a huge spider." God, Zero hated spiders. GreenEyesWinK Looking from Zero he stared down the road, almost as if he knew that if he looked hard enough he could just see Durem at the end of the road. His back legs pranced in excitment as his rump rounded around his front legs, his forward hooves moving in place.
When asked about how he'd gotten lost his face blanched and his small body lost all semblance of excitment as he glanced around, almost scared to see another one slithering nearby. "I saw a snake," he said quietly, as if saying the word might make one appear. Zero Dream "Ahhh... Well I don't like snakes much. But spiders really does it for me." She shrugged... Then seemed to feel a little bad for making him sad. An idea entered her mind trough, and she grinned. "I bet that, if we run, ill make it to Durem faster than you !" She grinned, visibely ready to dash, but waiting for Keelan to start up first. GreenEyesWinK Keelan shivered a little, remembering the little green snake and how it had hissed at him ... shaking his head to clear his thoughts he caught the last of Zero's words. Spiders? But spiders were so silly! How could she be afraid of them, but not of something as frightening as snakes?
His eyes lit up instantaniously, almost ignoring the fact that he'd been scared nearly senseless only moments prior. With a snort, that sounded like it came from a horse and not from any semblance of human, he picked up his back legs and dropped them, letting them thump into the ground. "I'll win!" he said before spinning sharply and running off, his little form darting down the road with equine grace. Zero Dream Hah ! Zero was getting good with this whole kid thing. Daring them always seemed to do the trick... "We'll see that !" She started to run as well, making up for the lost distance and running after him. There was no way she could beat a centaur in run... or could she ? It seemed like she was as much focused into the race than Keelan was. GreenEyesWinK Keelan laughed, a giggle that sounded bubbly that blossomed into a whiny as his legs sped over the dirt road, kicking up dust. His arms outstretched as he welcomed the sunlight. It reminded him of back home when he had first ran, the sun was gold just like it was today.
Glancing back at Zero he laughed again and pranced once, Zero catching up quickly as he turned back around and looked ahead, focusing more on the race at hand. Zero Dream Zero, indeed, was slowly but surely catching up, and did not seem intent on running out of breath anytime soon. A playful grin was present on her face, and she sent a playful wink to Keelan when he looked her way. "Watch out, im catching up !" She teased a little, in a playful fashion. GreenEyesWinK He grinned and kept on racing, his delicate legs strong and pulsing as he pushed over the dirt road. Keelan was young and even with the trials of being lost he still had energy to spare as he ran down the road, troubles and snakes forgotten for the time being.
He snorted and skidded to a stop, his hind quarters almost touching the ground with how fast he halted his once-speedy pace, as the road split. His nostrils flared and he blinked, looking for Zero. "Which way?" he asked. Zero Dream Zero caught up with him, then stopped as well. "Hmmm... Right." She remembered, going down that path, but not resuming her running. GreenEyesWinK He followed, his sensitive ears picking up the sounds of people and commotion. "I can hear it!" he said, prancing sideways. "I can hear Durem!" His hooves danced across the dirt, his eyes sparkling with excitment at the idea of getting closer to home. "Hurry!" he said, flashing Zero a grin. "Let's go!"
He took off again, his excitment getting the better of him as he pounded down the road, happy when only after a few twists he was at the back alleyway of the outskirts of Durem. Glancing behind him he laughed and trotted down the paved street, his hooves echoing loudly against the stones. Zero Dream "H-hey !" Zero let out in surprise, but laughed at herself as she went into a wild run again. That was one thing that should have been expected, given the playful nature of this one, but she did not mind in the least. The buildings of Durem where showing in the horizon, as the two travelers came closer to their goal. Once they would have reached the city, and there would need then would be to find where WinK lived... or maybe, given extreme luck, he was allready looking for Keelan in the city ? GreenEyesWinK Yes, this was certainly the city that WinK took Keelan to a lot while he was working on errands and such. Looking around he balked slightly; there certainly were a lot of people. Glancing back at Zero he smiled, "I'm closer to finding home!" he said with a grin.
Stepping out into the street he was immediately swept up into the crowd of people and whinnied, frightened. "Zero!" he said, crying out. Looking around as he was dragged and pushed along he couldn't find the woman, now lost in Durem, more lost than he had been in the country-side. Zero Dream Zero nodded, visibely glad. "Now, stay clo- Keelan !" Damn, just what she hoped WOULDN'T happen, he got swept up in the crowrd. She could hear him call, but she couldn't see him ! "Keelan ! KEELAN !" Zero tried to cut trough the crowd, but there was no use... it seemed like the centaur was long gone...
