"Uhm..." Jessie sighed, rubbing her temples. "Terrorists just never care, kid. It's what they do. Spread fear to get their way." The truck driver sighed, stretching as she shifted, nodding. "I understand and I can teach, but Ineed to teach someone to help me, first. So you first. Then others. Otherwise it'll be harder.I mean. Dad would, but heeeee..." She motioned. "Isn't magic and he has major PTSD issues."

"'Their way' in this case is the destruction of... everything, I'm pretty sure," Owen said, huffing. "It's stupid - if everything's gone, that includes them." He stretched out a little as well, considering the woman's words, then frowned. "You said he fought? I'm sorry; that must be hard. I don't... really know what that's like - I didn't even know who my dad was until a few years ago. Is... is he getting help?" The boy didn't know a lot about PTSD, really, but he knew that it meant the person with it probably needed therapy, maybe sometimes an assistance dog, and he hoped Miss Jessie's dad wasn't enduring it alone. That would be really sad...

"Terrorists do that." Jessie motioned, tyhen sighed. "Therapy. Every so often, anyhow. Enough to be well. He didn't only fight though. He was a PoW." At that, Jessie sighed. "I was little when the man in uniform told us. When Dad got back, he was a lot worse, and CPS put my little sisters in foster care. Didn't think of me as at risk. He was... Grouchy."

"That sounds rough," Owen said, voice sympathetic. "CPS checked in with me and mom a few times, and I remember when I was really little she was afraid they'd take me? But they never did. She worked herself really sick for a while, though. It... wasn't a good time." Ugh. Life sucked enough already. Why did the Negaverse have to actively try and make it worse? That just wasn't fair.

Then, we get a brand started, and help you get sponsored. Any time they want you working, you work. But I can train you 'till then. Help your mom out. I mean, I make plenty if youprefer a team with me, but... I can help.Mom would love it. And my little sisters... Oh man, you could meet them! I mean, Kay's in some boarding school overseas right now, but Rhi is in town and cuuute~"

"It might take a little while to do that." Owen knew hismother could be talked around, but she worried... and she did still work so much. "And she'd probably want to meet you, first. Make sure you're not going to kidnap me or something." Wait, was she uh... trying to set him up with... "I - uhm. I'd think your sisters are probably a little older than me," he said, face turning pink. "A-and besies, I uhm... I'mkindofalreadydatingsomeone...twosomeones? Don't tell my mom that!"

"Oh, what, two?" Jessie shrugged. "I didn't know. And I can meet your mom. Maybe we can do a dinn3er or something -- public so she feels safer." Jessie chuckled. "And my sisters might be? But. Yanno. It was a thought. We can work on the Truck stuff though, first. No need to worry about the rest - I just want my sisters happy. S' all I want. They deserve it."

"Mm. They're my friends, and... maybe kind of more?" He fidgeted a little shyly, and grinned at her. "And mom would probably like that... .oh! But if you want help to find nice people for your sisters I can probably help look? Bailey and Daniel - my friends - both have older brothers. Daniel's are.. uh.... not so great but Bailey's brother is nice!"
