"That-- we?" Xifeng blinked, head tilting in surprise before the ghost gave a meaningful look, one Cordoba picked up. Purify? Bellite? Well Cordoba didn't know how, but maybe she could try guiding her that way. Then maybe Bellite could help her own Wonder.... Whatever her purifgied wonder was. "That would be fine." Xifeng then smiled, and blinked. "That's food?" "There's seafood." Cordoba countered, and then took a shrimp, wagging it at Xifeng before munching it thoughtfully. The ghost looked confused, but then looked to Bellite. "It's all brown! And crusty!" Was the ghost confused? Yes. Wasn't food NOT supposed to be brown or crusty? THIS WAS HORRIBLE.

Bellite reached for a piece of chicken, giving a placid smile, quite unaware of the silent exchange that had been done between wonder spirit and page, and perhaps it was better that way. “Well, thank you. We’ll make you proud, I’m sure, Xifeng…and yes, it’s food. It’s fried chicken, or at least this is…it’s what we eat a lot now. Food that’s cooked in hot oil so the outside is crunchy and the inside is moist and tender…how did you cook your food…?”
She nearly went a bit too far, though stopped herself from adding on ‘When you were alive’…because that seemed…rather uncouth.
“If we’re bothering you, we can head back to Earth though, I’m sure you have important things to do…unless I’m very wrong…but I’m quite sure that I’m not.” Smiling at Xifeng, Bellite took a bite of the drumstick and sighed happily. They could eat quickly, she was sure…but…maybe the ghost would get the hint and leave them in some peace…

".....With fire and iron, mostly." Xifeng blinked. "Not fried like this. And Mercury is... Complicated.": She sighed, then motioned. "You need not rush. I'll-- find something to do." Because the food was NOT appetizing to her, and Cordoba snickered as her ancestor's face walking away before looking to Bellite. "I think the idea of battered delicious food was too much. A note for the future!" SOMEONE was bringing more fried food for sure.

Bellite smiled, watching as the ghost woman left them alone. In a way, she was quite relieved when she left. Gently, she leaned over, laying her head against Cordoba’s shoulder. “Thank you for bringing me here…It means so much to me that you’d share this place with me. I hope…you and I can share more with one another…if you would like that too…”
Her voice grew softer and her eyes closed, hand creeping down to entwine with the page’s.
“You make me feel…really happy…and I think you for that, too.” Now, if she could only get the girl to realize her folly and join the Negaverse…everything would be perfect indeed. She hoped that she could eventually bring her around to that path…and then perhaps they could continue on it together.
She was quiet then, simply enjoying the atmosphere and the picnic.

Cordoba hummed, rubbing Bellite's back. While oblivious to the lieutenant's feelings, the page was happy to enjoy company. "Any time. Admittedly I enjoy new sights but maybe we can work together to put it together." Cordoba hummed, smiling. Help was a welcome idea, really, and Cordoba nestled in. "We should hang out more..."

Bellite nodded, utterly content for the moment. “It sounds perfect, Cordoba…and I agree whole heartedly. We should hang out more…and we will. There’s nothing stopping us from doing so, right?”
It wasn’t a question that required an answer, and honestly…she didn’t want this spell of calm and peace to be ruined with any more talking…especially if it was talking from the ghost that inhabited this place…no, right now she was the happiest she had been in a very, very long time…and she wanted it to stay this way.
She would do whatever she could to hold on to this happiness and contentment with everything that she had. No matter what.

The page nodded. "We should eat before it's cold, too, or all it will do is look pretty." Cordoba noted, and winked. "Guests first!"
